Property division

But in some cases, the court may transfer more than 50% to the mother if the child remains with her - in the interests of the child. For example, a couple has two apartments - one larger, the other smaller. Then the larger one can go to the divorced spouse.

Funds and property earned by spouses before marriage are not divided.

As for prize money and gifts from the Olympics, the situation is different. If Plushenko’s gifts (in particular, a jeep and a gold watch) were formalized as a purchase and sale transaction (which is unlikely), this property can be divided. If they are formalized by a gift agreement, everything remains with Zhenya.
