Rhythmic gymnast Yana Kudryavtseva
Yana Kudryavtseva became the youngest gymnast who was able to win the title of Absolute Champion of our planet. She was able to win the final of the world championship when the girl was only fifteen years old. That is, Kudryavtseva improved the previous achievement set by the legendary Alina Kabaeva by a year.
During her career, Yana was able to achieve great success; she won many championships and became the owner of a number of serious records. Unfortunately, Kudryavtseva’s international career was very short-lived, since this gymnast was only able to perform outside our country for three years.
Hero's Journey
The gymnast has participated in championships since 2009, but real fame came only in 2013. The first adult performance took place as part of the Grand Prix stage, held in Moscow. The girl managed to win the all-around.
The first adult victory was won at the European Championships in Austria. Yana managed to score 19 out of 20 points in the team tournament. The girl is officially recognized as the youngest winner. In the same championship, Yana took part in qualifying performances. Despite glitches in the sound, she won silver.
According to Irina Werner, who was Yana’s coach, 2014 was a difficult period for the girl. This is due to the fact that Kudryavtseva did not prepare enough for the competition. A little later, she realized the mistake and won gold.
2015 will be remembered by Instagram fans for Kudryavtseva’s performances in:
- Portugal;
- Romania;
- Hungary;
- Bulgaria.
Unfortunately, the gymnast broke her leg in the finals of the world championship, so she was unable to participate in several disciplines.
2016 was the last year for Yana in her sports career. She took part in the World Cup, but only in the third stage. The athlete won in most of the competitive programs.
Biography of Kudryavtseva
Yana was born into a sports family. Her father, Alexey Kudryavtsev, took high prizes at the USSR swimming championships several times, and in 1992 brought Olympic gold to our team.
Yana's father understood very well what he had to go through to achieve success in sports. Therefore, he was initially extremely negative about his daughter choosing just such a life path for herself. Nevertheless, the girl got into sports. But this was done only to shape her figure, that is, for general development. Initially, Yana got into swimming, but then she was advised to also enroll in art. gymnastics to correct your posture and make your figure as ideal as possible. The first gymnastics coach immediately saw enormous potential in the girl and began to persuade her father to give permission to begin a more serious training process. As a result, Yana’s parents gave their go-ahead and from that moment on, the gymnast Kudryavtseva began to emerge.
Biography
At a young age, this girl reached unprecedented heights. She is a 13-time world champion in rhythmic gymnastics. This is a kind of record, because Yana Kudryavtseva managed to become the absolute world champion at the age of 15. Let us remind you that Alina Kabaeva managed to do this when she turned 16.
However, it could not be otherwise, because Yana was born into the family of a famous athlete. The girl’s father, Alexey Kudryavtsev, is the 1992 Olympic swimming champion. It was he who raised a strong character in his daughter and instilled in him the desire to overcome all obstacles on the way to the heights of sports.
Gymnast Yana Kudryavtseva
Yana was born on September 30, 1997 in Moscow. The girl's mother's name is Victoria.
Yana Kudryavtseva took up gymnastics at the age of 4. Dad happened to know a coach in this sport. Hearing that he was recruiting a group, Alexey Kudryavtsev asked his little daughter to watch. He didn’t think about medals or titles then. I just wanted Yana to have excellent posture and the figure that all girls dream of in the future.
Yana Kudryavtseva in childhood
And in the daughter, apparently, the genes of the champion father took over. She became seriously interested in rhythmic gymnastics and soon made her first tangible successes in the sport. School lessons faded into the background, because the workload and busyness in the gym turned out to be such that I had to make a choice in favor of one thing, the main thing. Yana decided that the main thing for her was sports.
Today the girl is a student at the Department of Theory and Methods of Gymnastics at the P. F. Lesgaft University in St. Petersburg.
Childhood and youth of the future gymnast
The future star of the world art. gymnastics was born in the capital of the Russian Federation. This event, which was certainly very joyful for Yana’s parents, took place on September 30, 1997. Gradually, the girl became more and more interested in sports. She pushed into the background not only other childhood hobbies, but also her studies at school. Nevertheless, Kudryavtseva did not forget about the need to get an education, since in the future she planned to enter the department of theorists and methods of gymnastics.
Yana's junior achievements
From 2009 to 2012, Kudryavtseva increasingly takes part not only in domestic championships, but also regularly comes to various international tournaments. And he not only participates, but also wins! During this period, Yana was able to climb to the highest step of the podium at the following competitions:
- Junior championship of our country in 2009.
- A specially organized tournament, which was held parallel to the adult Grand Prix in Moscow in 2011.
- Championship of our state for 2011. In the same year - the Junior Planet Cup.
- Russian championship 2012 and several Euros.
During this period, Yana began to successfully compete with adult gymnasts, which, naturally, opened the way for her to her dream - to the Olympics.
Olympic season
Of course, initially there was quite serious preparation, which included not only the training process, but also various international performances. And Yana did not let her coaches down. First, she took gold at the Grand Prix, then - confident victories and prizes at the Cup and the championship of our planet.
At the next Euro, during which the judging rules were changed, Kudryavtseva immediately set a record, scoring nineteen out of twenty possible points. And if at the world championship Yana overtook Kabaeva, becoming the youngest champion, then at the European championship she repeated her record. The year ended with a performance in the World Cup final. Initially, the situation was not very successful for Yana - during the qualifications, the music suddenly disappeared due to technical reasons, so our gymnast had to start her performance from the very beginning. But this did not stop her from eventually becoming the absolute champion, receiving one gold and two silver.
Results for 2014
This year in Kudryavtseva’s sports career is considered one of the most difficult. At least, that’s what her coach, Irina Viner, thinks. Yana was unable to prepare for the start, so initially she did not show the results required of her. But then the gymnast pulled herself together and won not only gold at the World Championships, but also became the absolute European champion.
This year, thanks to her achievements, Yana became one of two official ambassadors of elegance representing the Swiss watch brand Longines. In addition, the Federation of Domestic Journalists presented her with its award - “Silver Hind”.
Sports triumph
Having started her “adult” life in rhythmic gymnastics, Yana immediately won several prestigious awards. In a series of international competitions in 2013, she received several gold, silver and bronze medals in Sofia, Minsk and St. Petersburg. This year Kudryavtseva won the European Championship. At the age of 15, she became the youngest European champion, surpassing Alina Kabaeva in terms of achievements.
The gymnast started the next season with varying success. At the first stages of the World Cup in Tashkent, Corbeil-Eson and Pesaro, she received silver and bronze instead of the usual gold, but by the middle of the season she “played out”. At the World Championships held in Izmir, Yana won 5 gold and 1 silver medal.
2015 was no less eventful for the athlete. At the World Championships in individual exercises, Yana was the leader in almost all disciplines (all-around, ball, clubs, ribbon). She showed the same excellent result at the European Championships. At the 1st European Games held in Baku, Kudryavtseva became the record holder for the most gold taken.
In 2020, at the European Championships in Holon, Yana again pleasantly surprised with her results. She became the absolute champion in individual all-around. The gymnast received gold at the World Cup stages in Sofia, Tashkent and Pesaro.
Many fans predicted a gold medal for Yana at the Rio Olympics. In the final, the girl competed with her compatriot and friend Margarita Mamun and was confidently in the lead, but made a mistake in the exercise with a mace. This allowed Rita to take Olympic gold. Kudryavtseva received silver in the individual all-around.
Body figure parameters
One of the reasons for the rapid rise of Yana Kudryavtseva’s sports career is considered to be her almost ideal for thin. gymnastics figure. Indeed, during her most stunning victories, the gymnast was one hundred and seventy centimeters tall and weighed forty-seven kilograms. Naturally, her harmonious body beauty perfectly complemented the professionalism developed through years of training. It is not surprising that she always stood out even against the background of the most beautiful competitors.
Personal life of a former gymnast
Today, due to the development of digital technologies, it has become easier to monitor the life of a person. Especially if he, like Yana Kudryavtseva, actively uses social networks. Naturally, every photograph of her is discussed, especially if one of the representatives of the stronger half of humanity can be seen next to the former gymnast. According to the girl herself, her chosen one must be closely connected with sports.
As a result, at one time Yana was credited with an affair with basketball player Mikhail Kulagin, at another with football player Artur Yusupov. But all these rumors never found reliable confirmation or any serious continuation.
At the beginning of 2018, the media disseminated information that Yana was dating hockey player Dmitry Kurgyshev, who is eight years older than Kudryavtseva. This time the rumors turned out to be true, as the young people entered into marriage in the middle of the summer of 2018.
In her free time, the former gymnast spends a lot of time outdoors.
She became interested in racing; Yana can often be found in the company of close friends, with whom she races off-road on ATVs. It is interesting that Kudryavtseva is very close friends with another former gymnast, Margarita Mamun, with whom she competed for a very long time. But, as often happens with successful athletes, the rivalry remains in the gym, while in ordinary life very close relationships are established. IMPORTANT!
