Direct speech
ABOUT WORKING IN THE THEATER AND CINEMA: “For me, in general, working in both theater and cinema is always a painful process. No, I can’t say that I don’t enjoy it - why would I even engage in this profession? But it’s like catharsis—a kind of purification through suffering.”
ABOUT THE FILM “EUPHORIA”: “This is a mythological story about the relationship between a woman and a man. The story is about how a huge feeling descended on these people, but they were not ready for it, so it crushed them. And these people turned out to be closer to animals than to people. The main character of this myth is the spirit of the steppe, terrible and beautiful at the same time.”
ABOUT THE PROFESSION: “I would rather see the profession discuss not charm, not eroticism, not the ability to sing or dance, but more essential things. I understand that few people discuss them at all, but I would like to play in such a way that they would discuss not my charm, but the themes that I play ... "

Brief oblivion
Despite the huge success of The Long Goodbye and instant audience popularity, for two years after that no one offered Polina new film roles.
This was partly due to her pregnancy (she gave birth to a son in 2005). And only in 2006, Ivan Vyrypaev invited Agureeva to play the main role in the lyrical film drama “Euphoria”. The film turned out amazing (it was awarded by experts at many film festivals). But Polina again dropped out of the ranks of film actors for two years, only this time through her own fault - she was not in the mood for what was being offered to her at that time. In addition, she loved the theater with all her heart and was not ready to exchange the stage for the “cheap” popularity of a “soap-opera” film actress. The breakthrough in her career came in 2007, when she agreed to play singer Tonya Tsarko in Sergei Ursulyak’s series “Liquidation.” After the release of this film on television, offers rained down on Polina one after another. In less than four years, she starred in five films:
- the image of Anna in the TV series “Isaev” (2009);
- the role of a maid in the film “It's All Right, Mom!” (2010);
- the image of Anninka in the film “Lord Golovlevs” (2010);
- the role of Katya in the film “Which Wasn’t” (2010);
- the image of Evgenia Shaposhnikova in the film “Life and Fate”.
Film critics noted that each of these images of the young talent can be considered a real masterpiece worthy of the highest ratings. Polina amazingly combines lyrical reverence and spontaneity with pronounced sexuality. It’s simply impossible not to love such a woman.
In the near future, fans of Agureeva’s talent will be able to enjoy watching her new works - very soon the lyrical films “Sex, Coffee and Cigarettes” and “Farewell, Darling”, as well as the historical drama “Kuprin” will appear on movie screens.

There is no TV in Polina’s house and she is absolutely indifferent to typical “women’s hobbies.” Agureeva is not interested in fitness classes or visiting beauty salons.
