Semyon Shkalikov: I love women with oddities, like Ksenia Rappoport!

Childhood and youth

Semyon Shkalikov was born in Moscow into the acting family of Sergei Shkalikov and Galina Churilova. More precisely, at the time of the birth of their son, Sergei and Galina were still students at the theater institute, where they studied with Oleg Tabakov.

The family lived together for 5 years, and then, due to the systematic abuse of alcohol, the head of the family, Churilova, left her husband. But Senya did not lose touch with his father; he often attended performances with his participation. At the age of 10, Semyon was left without a father: Sergei Shkalikov died suddenly.

Semyon's next passion was Polina Dolinskaya, the daughter of the famous actor Vladimir Dolinsky. They were together for 2 years, after which they broke up.

Now the heart of Semyon Shkalikov is filled with new love. The artist’s girlfriend is a theater actress named Daria Makarova, about whose personal life there is also little information.

In everyday life, Semyon prefers a neat business style. In his youth, he dreamed of looking like an American gangster of the 30s and largely realized his desire while studying at the theater institute. But now the artist’s wardrobe contains more classic-cut items. Stubble has long been part of Shkalikov’s image. He grew it while he was starting work on the theatrical role of Henry VIII.

The celebrity does not forget about sports. In order to maintain optimal weight for his height of 188 cm, the artist goes jogging every day. It is known that Semyon tries to spend most of his time outside the city, where he has a cozy cottage.

In September 2020, Semyon posted a joint photo with pregnant Daria Makarova on his Instagram account. Judging by the comments left under the photo, a daughter was born in the family. Shkalikov’s subscribers were pleasantly surprised by this news, especially since the performer rarely shares his personal happiness with others.

Personal life of Semyon Shkalikov

The personal life of Semyon Shkalikov is a closed topic for his fans, since the artist is very secretive. According to him, there is nothing supernatural in this matter that could be told to the public. Previously, the actor was famous for his relationships with women older than him.

“I see no point in discussing my personal life with fans or media representatives. The public knows some details, and I think that's enough. If I consider it necessary, I will definitely tell you everything.”

Theater and films

Semyon's creative biography began early and brightly. The young man managed to create a sensation in the theatrical environment with his diploma work. He played Staff Captain Myshlaevsky in the play “Black Snow” based on Mikhail Bulgakov’s play “Days of the Turbins”. Yes, he played so well that he received the Golden Leaf theater award as the best actor of the year.

After the graduation party, the young talent was immediately taken to the famous Lenkom Theater, where he still plays and sings. The actor can be seen in the musicals “Jester Balakirev” and “Royal Games”. Semyon, together with performer Alexandra Volkova, are considered the youngest Count Rezanov and Conchitta in the legendary theater production of “Juno and Avos”.

Semyon Shkalikov began acting in films as soon as he entered theater school. His first works in the adventure film “Striped Summer” and the crime mini-series “Philip’s Bay” brought the actor serious experience rather than great fame.

After graduating from theater school, Semyon focused on working at Lenkom and returned to cinema only in 2013, but when he returned, he immediately received four major works and lightning-fast all-Russian popularity. The detective series “Department” and the historical and biographical film “Chagall - Malevich” about the fate of Bella Chagall, the wife of the famous painter, simply attracted the attention of the audience to the person of Shkalikov.

Fans started talking about Semyon’s similarities with another popular actor Maxim Averin, but at the same time noted the artist’s original play and the performance of roles unique to Shkalikov.

In 2020, Semyon played 2 roles in mini-series. The actor played the minor role of Denis Boyarinov in the spy detective film “Sleepers,” and also again played the role of Ilya Klimov in the melodrama “Perfumeress-2.”

The actors’ romance was very long and attracted the attention of the public, but since Anna wanted to tie the knot, and Semyon himself was not ready for this step, the young people broke off their relationship. According to Shkalikov, Anna is a most beautiful woman, she is very wise, but her desire to get married scared him, because he is still young to start a family.

EXCLUSIVE. Andrey Shkalikov: Anyone can offend a boxer... Not everyone has time to apologize

The formerly famous Chelyabinsk boxer, and now a commentator, biker and journalist, returned to Chelyabinsk for several days. In an interview with a correspondent of the Access News Agency, he told funny stories from life in the capital, expressed confidence that the South Ural boxer would soon become the world professional boxing champion, surprised him with his desire to enter the ring again and regrets about his unsuccessful family life .

— Andrey, for some time after finishing your career you were still in Chelyabinsk, and then you rushed to Moscow. Couldn’t find yourself in your small homeland?

- Yes, having left the ring, I just didn’t know what to do next. Life outside of boxing didn’t start out very well, I couldn’t find myself - how and where to live, what to do? After much thought, I decided to stay in sports - to engage in management and promotional activities. So, he organized his own and began organizing boxing matches. Then a friend and I created a promotion company. We got a sponsor, started holding competitions and showing them on two federal TV channels. For three or four years everything went fine. But then “Pushka” began to slowly disintegrate, and I decided to settle in St. Petersburg - a beautiful city, where I had many friends, where I often held sports camps. But there was no work there. At the same time, he often visited Moscow on small business. In fact, he lived on the road between Chelyabinsk, St. Petersburg and Moscow.

— And then you decided to try yourself in television?

— Yes, to begin with, I rented a one-room apartment in Moscow, they began to invite me to the 7TV channel as a co-commentator. They paid mere pennies there, but I was interested in plunging into this new world. Good people also helped, after some time I got a car in Moscow and bought an apartment. In general, I began to live normally. And also - during negotiations and interviews - I received two original programs about boxing. For about three and a half years I worked as an author, presenter and television commentator. Sometimes he came to Chelyabinsk and organized boxing fights here. Then changes occurred at 7TV, they began to reorganize it, and the shop had to be closed, especially since the format of 7TV itself changed, sports disappeared from the TV channel.

— You didn’t have a journalistic education. Was it difficult at first to work if you had neither experience nor knowledge of a new profession?

“It’s very difficult, it was a completely different world for me.” People working on the channel (directors, screenwriters, cameramen) - they think differently, the main thing for them is to make a high-quality and good picture, but I saw the whole process in a slightly different way. In addition, I still have a Ural accent. And no one gave me a syllable. I had to walk around with an eraser in my teeth and pronounce tongue twisters. In general, I had to learn a lot as a first grader, but I learned. So, I was invited to TVC, and then to the Sport TV channel, now Russia-2. I've been working here for seven years now. Of course, it's routine work, but I like it.

— At the same time, did you not forget about promotional activities?

— Yes, but all this was before the financial crisis. And then it became difficult - advertisers and sponsors were reluctant to part with their money, and this business was beyond the power to carry on. That's when I completely went into work on TV. He starred in episodic roles in films (“Kiss of Fallen Angels,” “A Bitch for a Champion,” the series “Joker”). And somehow people began to become interested, asking why I don’t train anyone? And I think to myself – really, why?

Here I accidentally met a good person - an ordinary businessman who had been sick a lot all his life and even almost died from some complex and rare disease. Doctors recommended him a special diet and regimen, and also exercise regularly. He remembered that at one time he went to the boxing section. So, at the age of 33, he persuaded me to train him. And I started working with him. Then another person came, a third, a fourth...

I couldn’t refuse my good friend, actor Misha Porechenkov. This is how a group of boxing fans was formed: every morning we trained and then went about our business. Boxing in the morning, negotiations on organizing fights in the afternoon, broadcast on TV in the evening or at night. It was difficult, but interesting. Moreover, all these cases were related to sports. I won’t say that I have become a high-class journalist, but I can boast that I have been working on the federal TV channel “Russia-2” for seven years. And, despite all the negativity that people write on the Internet, in the comments, I am not fired, because I bring ratings and generally cope with my job.

— Do you pay attention to the reviews that they write about you on the Internet?

- At first, yes, and even took them to heart. But the management of the TV channel reassured me: they are watching boxing, the ratings are going up, discussions are underway. Why pay attention to all this? You can't please everyone, and you can't argue with Internet trolls.

— During the report, you give your assessment of what is happening in the ring. At the same time, the task of a journalist is, first of all, to inform. What should I do?

— We don’t have a school for television commentators in Russia, we only have a journalistic education, and only then does everyone choose a narrow specialization for themselves. Of course, we learn not only from others’ mistakes, but also from our own mistakes. But everyone has their own opinion, and it must be respected. I talk about what is happening in the ring, analyze a little, and the co-commentator sits next to me and searches the Internet for interesting information about boxers in order to diversify the presentation of the material. It seems to be working out fine.

— Moscow is a unique city, big and does not accept everyone. Was it difficult to get used to the image of a Muscovite and accept a new way of life?

— There were some problems. Firstly, I really missed my family and home. Secondly, I was not very familiar with the city. Thirdly, of course, the capital has a completely different rhythm and way of life, and you don’t get used to it right away. Moreover, weekends in television format are a subjective thing. I was tired not so much physically as psychologically. There were also breakdowns. Several times I even tried to leave and return home. But arriving in Chelyabinsk, I again didn’t know what to do. More precisely, there was something to do, but it was no longer so interesting. If a person is used to working at a certain level, then he doesn’t want to change it. This was not the case here. Although Evgeny Weinstein invited me to return, he offered to work for him. I thought for a long time, but still refused. We had a heart-to-heart talk with him, explained ourselves, I offered to cooperate, but from a distance.

— Are you used to Moscow traffic jams?

“It’s impossible for anyone to ever get used to them.” I just leave for work early. It helps me that in the summer I get around on a motorcycle. As you can see, I did not give up my hobby and passion, despite that unpleasant story - the accident in which I had on Lenin Avenue in Chelyabinsk (in August 2003, Shkalikov’s leg was assembled in parts. - Author’s note). Just the other day I bought a brand new Yamaha Tourist. I wanted to drive it to Chelyabinsk under my own power, but I was afraid of bad weather.

- That is, that terrible accident could not stop you. How long after that did you not get behind the wheel of a motorcycle?

— Yes, I spent a very long time on crutches and underwent five serious surgeries on my hip. My leg shattered into fragments, they collected it piece by piece. I was tormented then. But then he got to his feet and got behind the wheel. If I don't ride a bike, summer is lost for me. Nothing can stop this love for motorcycles.

— I remember in Chelyabinsk you were a member of a bike club...

— Yes, and even was the chairman of the Russian Legend club. But all this is short-lived: some clubs are closing, others are opening.

— You have already traveled by car from Chelyabinsk to Moscow and back several times. And on a bike? Is it easy for you to cover two thousand kilometers?

— I wouldn’t say it’s easy, you still get tired from the road. But I’m used to it, I just enjoy it. I get more tired on trains, and airplanes are not always comfortable. Arrived in some city, and what should you use to get around there? It’s somehow inconvenient to rent a car or ask friends. And then I got on my own bike or car and drove off.

— Surely there were some interesting incidents along the way?

- Oh yes, there are a lot of them. I'll tell you about one, in September last year. I came to Chelyabinsk and married my daughter. And on September 2 I’m going back in my car. And my “Bug” is unpretentious in appearance, outwardly modest, but in reality it’s a Porsche – with a powerful engine, the chassis has been redone. The car is a beast! Accelerates up to 220 km/h. In general, I’m driving, the speedometer shows 100-110 km per hour, and Opel is catching up with me. And he begins to behave strangely - he presses, cuts, lets go forward, and then catches up and does not allow himself to be overtaken. In a word, he's mocking me. I can’t understand anything - it doesn’t look like the police, the times of bandits seemed to end back in the dashing 90s. Pushes me to the curb. A tall guy with an athletic build comes out and begins to be rude to me, half-jokingly.

I was already taken aback by such impudence, I told him: “Are you a fool or what?” Word for word, I hit him, he fell. The second one runs out of the car and turns out to be a boxer. Stands in a right-handed stance. But it’s all familiar to me, it’s easier with them, I’ve studied all the boxing movements well. I say: “Guys, I’m warning you in a good way, cool down. Get in the car and kindly leave.” Not understood. In general, it has begun. I hit the bull, he falls again. But the second one turned out to be persistent. Once he missed a two, then straight, sideways and didn’t fall. The big guy comes to his senses and gets into trouble again.

The fight dragged on, the whole highway was at a standstill, people were pulling their faces out of their cars, watching a movie. The police are standing right there, looking at everything indifferently. Everything I knew how to do and what I was taught in boxing, I put all my knowledge and strength into these two freaks. One of them had his ribs, jaw and nose broken. He dragged him to the side of the road into a ditch, where he lay. The second one jumped out and locked himself in the car, dialing a number on his mobile phone. This is where my self-preservation instinct kicked in. “We need to get out of here before help arrives,” I think to myself.

I moved away from harm's way, but still didn't understand what these two guys needed. They didn’t have time to explain anything or didn’t want to. There is a saying among us: “Anyone can offend a boxer, but not everyone has time to apologize.”

— Andrey, do you still have nostalgia for the times when you organized fights in Chelyabinsk?

— It was a good time, but life changes, we need to think about the future. Now a promotion company with Evgeniy Weinstein at the head is successfully functioning in Chelyabinsk. We find common ground and are more likely to work together to help each other. Perhaps we will hold joint tournaments a couple of times a year.

- Don’t they call you Ural Squall anymore?

- No, they don’t remember this nickname anymore. By the way, it didn’t last long. Already at the end of my career, Oleg Deryabin came up with it for me. I then had to fight with Yarali Yaraliev. I prepared for the fight and took part in organizing the match. And my friends came up with a slogan and posters for PR: “Caucasian rage against the Ural squall.” I'm shocked! I tell them, don’t do this, you’re just inciting ethnic hatred. Well, they finally persuaded me.

— Did you spend your last fight in the professional ring in the Chelyabinsk circus?

— Yes, against the Ukrainian Yura Boroshyan. Before the fight, I sit in the locker room and understand that for the first time in my life I don’t want to get into the ring. There was absolutely no desire. But there was no going back. It turned out to be a difficult fight, I won it honestly, took the microphone and after the award ceremony I announced to everyone that I was hanging up my gloves. Then there were various offers to enter the ring, solid ones at that, but I responded with a categorical refusal. Besides everything else – and probably this was the main thing – I didn’t want to leave the ring forever as a loser.

— So you yourself are no longer drawn to the ring?

— Such thoughts sometimes occur, and when I’m sober (laughs). Kidding.

In the world of boxing, so-called survival fights Tough Fight (in common parlance, Taffite) are held. This is a spectacular thing! The tournament was invented by Nikolai Valuev and famous producer Yuri Fedorov. These fights are held according to boxing rules, and anyone can participate in them. The trick is that the battle lasts 12 minutes, without breaks, that is, one round. If according to the judges' notes it turns out to be a draw, then another 3 minutes of battle are added. Here you need to have an iron will and spirit; experience in street fights is important. And very often at such tournaments, ordinary guys can defeat famous boxers in the past. It’s hard for them in the first minutes, but by the 6-7th minute the trained boxers are exhausted and the technique ends. The fighting qualities, spirit and physical readiness of boxers come to the fore. The winners receive 50 thousand rubles, if the fight ends with a knockout, they throw in another 20-30 “pieces”, the losers, of course, receive less.

And I thought - 12 minutes should be enough for me, I’ve fought on the street more than once, I have experience behind me. Why not try it? By the way, there is a lot of money swirling around this tournament, because bets are placed on the fighters in the betting pool. People won big money under me. One guy “raised” 860 thousand rubles! And the fighters have something to fight for. In the final main battle, for example, the winner receives three million rubles!

— Do you follow the successes of Chelyabinsk boxers?

- Certainly! For example, we regularly communicate with Serega Kovalev via the Internet. I generally try to follow everything that happens in Chelyabinsk and beyond. I follow the news on local websites.

— Sergey Kovalev, Anton Novikov, Denis Shafikov, Konstantin Ponomarev... Which of them can really become a world champion?

- Undoubtedly, Kovalev has more chances. He is now one of the most talented Russian boxers. He did the right thing by leaving for America. There he was given what he lacked. In the amateurs in Russia he was in the top three, but in the professional ring he has more chances to make a name for himself. I told him back then that he should go pro - time is ticking, some kind of decision needs to be made. And now he is a super boxer, he can defeat any opponent.

— What is your brother Alexander doing now?

With brother Alexander (right)

— Trains young boys. He somehow quickly got tired of boxing and ended his amateur career at the age of 25, although the prospects were enormous. He could have gone very far, but it didn’t work out. Although many noted that he has a better chance of growing into a strong boxer than me.

- But your dreams came true. Can you call yourself a happy person?

- Yes, sure. But there is one “but” that cannot be changed. I am very sorry that there was a split with my wife. We were both worried, but could not find common ground. For some reason, it was not possible to continue our life together after the end of my boxing career. We struggled for a long time, trying to somehow improve the relationship, but it turned out like in the song “And our love’s battery ran out.”

But life goes on, everything changes. I am a happy person, even though I am a bachelor. I have many good friends, an interesting life, healthy and beautiful children are growing up, my parents are alive. What else is needed for happiness?
