Childhood and youth
Evgeniy was born in April 1972 in Kaliningrad, graduated from school there, and was fond of sports. Interest in theater arose at a young age, but Volovenko did not see himself as an actor.
There seems to be an unspoken taboo on information about parents and older brother. In an interview, Evgeniy mentioned that his father worked on a minesweeper and was lost at sea for months. The mother's occupation, as well as the nationality of the artist's family members, are unknown.
Before he could move to Moscow, the young man went to repay his debt to his homeland, served for 2 years in the navy, and after demobilization he thought about the future. According to Volovenko, the process of conquering the capital took shape like a textbook. There were plenty of difficulties, until one day a handsome guy with green eyes and a height of 186 cm was singled out in the crowd by the manager of the President modeling agency.

Evgeny Volovenko in his youth
Evgeny’s bright appearance was used, as they say, for its intended purpose - in advertising and videos of popular performers. His photographs graced the pages of clothing catalogs and glossy magazines. But Volovenko considered walking on the catwalk and everything connected with it a job unworthy of a man. He remembered his mother’s words that it is not forbidden to love yourself, but in moderation. The woman nipped in the bud the admiration of her neighbors who noted the boy’s attractiveness, and declared that her son did not stand out in any way from his peers. Therefore, when the opportunity to act in a movie came up, Evgeniy did not miss the chance to change his niche.
The actor treats the status of a sex symbol awarded to him by his fans with humor. Volovenko became convinced that beauty is a very unreliable and perishable commodity in his youth - during filming, his face was accidentally broken. The bruises and abrasions went away slowly. And then for the first time the performer thought that the main thing in his craft was not appearance, but skill. Whether that case has anything to do with the appearance of a scar on his face was not specified.
Childhood and adolescence
Born on April 4, 1972, Evgeniy Volovenko was born and raised in Kaliningrad in a simple Soviet family. He has a younger brother, Alexander. As a child, he was no different from most of his peers: he went to school, played sports, and was interested in modern music. In high school, I spent all my free time in video rooms, enthusiastically watching the exploits of American action superheroes.

After graduating from school, Zhenya served in the navy for two years. Having been demobilized, he moved from his hometown to Moscow, where in those difficult post-perestroika times there were more chances to arrange his life. The capital did not greet the young man kindly, he had no acquaintances, and there was a catastrophic lack of money.
To somehow make ends meet, Evgeniy got a job in a parking lot. They paid little there, but they provided food and a bed in the basement, which was already a huge help. The schedule was “two to two,” so on weekends Volovenko was forced to spend the night in uncoupled cars at the Belorussky station. On one of these days, there were no life-saving cars, and Zhenya, in order not to freeze on the street, turned to complete strangers for help.

To his surprise, they not only let him spend the night, but also offered to stay until the guy got back on his feet. For Volovenko, such an act by native Muscovites, usually spoiled by the housing issue, came as a complete surprise. He took it as a sign from above, and indeed, from that moment his life began to magically change for the better.
Personal life
In conversations with representatives of the press, Volovenko does not touch on the topic of his personal life. Either this is an omission of journalists, or he simply masterfully avoids sharp corners. It was only through an accidentally dropped phrase that his children knew how to walk “with the steps of a scout” that it became clear that Evgeniy had heirs. The actor does not use social networks, where the public traditionally gets news, as a family album - there is no corresponding photographic evidence on Instagram, Facebook and VKontakte.
Daughter Anastasia, born in her first marriage, is already an adult, graduated from the Faculty of International Law at the University of Poland. Volovenko still has a warm relationship with his ex-wife.

Evgeniy Volovenko and his wife
The artist’s current wife, Diana Rozovlyan, is from Ukraine, 18 years younger, a professional colleague - she starred in the films “The Dog”, “The Last Janissary”, “Mother’s Heart”. Outwardly, the girl is a copy of the singer Nastya Kamenskikh, and in Evgenia fans find similarities with Kirill Safonov and Andrei Chernyshov.
Volovenko is in awe of the places where he spent his childhood. But when he comes to Kaliningrad, he gets upset when he sees how people and their attitude towards the local nature are changing for the worse. The acting family has mastered a gait that leaves no traces, because it does not harm forests or the sea coast. Together with his friends, Evgeniy participates in charity events to preserve the Curonian Spit National Park.
“Everyone who has fallen in love with this place on Earth knows that this cannot be found anywhere else - this is a work of art from nature. Now is a time when everyone is used to only taking and giving nothing in return. No one is ashamed. No respect. It is sad".
Movies
Volovenko’s cinematic biography is a favorable combination of circumstances, multiplied by hard work and innate artistry. The performer began acting in films in 2004, playing casual, unnoticeable roles that were not mentioned in the credits. But these episodes were worth a lot, because the actor appeared in the popular TV series “Kulagin and Partners”, “Airport”, “Soldiers”, and the comedy melodrama “Heat” by Rezo Gigineishvili, which received 7 nominations at the MTV Russia Movie Awards.
The first success and the main role was in the melodrama “Women's Stories”. The audience saw an unfamiliar, but charming and bright artist in the role of Boris. We didn’t have to wait long for new proposals from directors. Thus, the action films “Bear Hunt” and “Joker”, detective stories “Web” and “Wild”, melodramas “Wedding Ring” and “Jamaica”, TV series “The Diary of Doctor Zaitseva” and “Deffchonki” appeared on the list.
“The Batagami Case” is an attempt by Russian filmmakers to attract foreign stars to their own projects, and at the same time reveal a couple of secrets of the prosecutor’s witness protection unit. In addition to Evgeniy, the action film stars Mark Dacascos and compatriot Igor Zhizhikin, who has achieved recognition in Hollywood.

The scar on the face of Evgeniy Volovenko
The variety of images was added to the breadth of genres. Volovenko played a dishonest banker in “A Remedy for Separation,” a talented chemist in “Dead Heart,” a doctor in “Kiss!” and a journalist in “Party for the Champion.” In the mystical drama “Premonition” he played a hired killer, in the film “Lecturer” he played a diplomat, and in “Sassy” he played a lover of a carefree life.
The performer’s character in the crime film “Suspicion” is an FSB major investigating the connections of an organized crime group with foreign intelligence. After the suspects begin to die one after another, the main character is accused of treason. The best friend must confirm or deny the officer’s involvement in the information leak.
The role of a man driven by cowardice and self-interest went to the artist in the film “Someone else’s Life.” A man leaves his beloved with a child and a bunch of debts and goes into hiding. A woman has to pretend to be a widow, invent stories, and even try to justify the hopes of her fellow countrymen, who are unaware of the deception.

Evgeniy Volovenko and Alexander Pankratov-Cherny
The actor tried on another image of a law enforcement officer in the film “Blood and Milk.” He reincarnated as a prosecutor, who, even after the divorce, has to look after his ex-wife in the person of Olga Fadeeva, since she accidentally gets involved in an adventure.
In 2020, Volovenko played the main male role in the melodrama “Someone Else’s Son.” He played a wealthy widower who married a young woman and sent his own child away abroad under the pretext of studying. The young man starts a “quiet war”, confident that his stepmother is deceiving the head of the family for money.
The painting “Hold My Hand” is similar in content. Only this time, the hero Evgeniy, who lost his wife, was left with three children. To cope with the chaos in the house, a businessman hires a nanny. The film shows the development of the relationship between these two people with a tragic fate.

Evgeny Volovenko and Ekaterina Klimova
The thriller “Quiet People” touches on the theme of family values, the ability to hear, understand and forgive each other. Here the actor starred in the role of a policeman, whose wife, like four other people, won the lottery. However, the one who commits the murder will receive the money.
In the series “Temptation,” the performer turned into the father of the oligarch’s assistant. His son has to unravel intrigues and fight with an all-powerful master for the heart of the same girl.
The artist played a wealthy man for whom there are no barriers in the film “Coach”. In the story, the hero Evgeniy, who has useful connections, promises his fired sports mentor a return to work if he prepares his daughter for the marathon.
At the center of the narrative of “Fatal SMS” is the love triangle of the characters Volovenko, Elvira Bolgova and Nikolai Ivanov. To give the necessary character to their characters, the artists had to make some sacrifices. Evgeniy took cello lessons and, at the very least, extracted sounds from the instrument. And Elvira, albeit at a low altitude, dared to run along the balcony railing without a safety rope.
Actor career
By chance, Volovenko met an employee of the President modeling agency, Evgenia Dubovskaya, who, with a trained eye, immediately appreciated the extraordinary external data of the charismatic young man and offered him a job.
Volovenko Evgeniy worked as a model
Evgeniy didn’t think twice and immediately started filming. It turned out that the camera “loves” him very much, and soon Volovenko became one of the agency’s most sought-after male models. He starred in commercials and video clips, took part in photo shoots for glossy publications, and over time he began to be invited to film extras.
During his “model” times, Evgeniy realized that he did not want to sell his appearance. He was annoyed by his arrogant, pretty colleagues, and one day, during the filming of an advertisement, it came to a fight, in which Evgeniy’s face was broken. At that moment, Volovenko realized how temporary beauty is, and decided to focus on his acting career. Since then, he associates the concept of “male beauty” exclusively with naturalness, and does not consider himself handsome.

In 2004, Evgeniy starred in a cameo role in the TV series “Kulagin and Partners”, which was followed by small but quite successful works in the films “Airport” and “Heat”.
In 2006, he played a leading role in the melodrama “Women’s Stories” and immediately won the hearts of a large female audience. Over the next ten years, a non-professional actor with no special education starred in sixty successful film projects, among which a special place is occupied by the Ukrainian-produced serial film “According to the Laws of Martial Time” (the premiere in Ukraine took place on May 9, 2020, in Russia the series was released a little later ). The series takes place in Kyiv in 1941, during the Nazi offensive.

Volovenko was selected for the main role of the former high school student and now military investigator Ivan Rokotov from five applicants and did an excellent job. He was helped in many ways by the experience gained while serving in the navy, as well as his passion for small arms. His filming partner was Ekaterina Klimova, who transformed into Komsomol member and assistant investigator Svetlana Elagina.

The success of the series exceeded all expectations, and the producers decided to make a sequel to the film. True, filming in Ukraine was fraught with certain difficulties due to the difficult political situation. For example, in Kharkov, nationalists staged a series of provocations, trying to interfere with the filming process. But, despite this, the film was successfully completed and was released on Russian screens in the spring of 2020
Evgeniy Volovenko now
In 2020, the drama “According to the Laws of Wartime” premiered, and the actor who played the lawyer Ivan Rokotov received immense love from the audience. He got into the cast of his first historical film on the 2nd attempt. The performer arrived for the audition directly from the plane, and the filming turned out to be crumpled. But Volovenko is a fatalist. He believed that he would beat out four other contenders for the role. The hopes were justified.
The artist considers the image of a military prosecutor in love with the heroine Ekaterina Klimova to be the most important in his career. In 2020, the 4th season of the film was released. In the 1st, the heroes began an affair, in the 2nd they got married and, due to circumstances, separated. After 3 years, people meet who have already understood and overestimated a lot, but still love each other. In the continuation of the film, the action takes place in peacetime near Koenigsberg, practically in Volovenko’s homeland.
In addition, the artist played a supporting role in the detective thriller “The Secret of the Last Chapter” about a girl around whom murders are committed in strict accordance with the book she is translating. The acting ensemble included Alexandra Nikiforova and Konstantin Solovyov, with whom Volovenko worked on the series “Not a Couple.”
In the Ukrainian project “Other People's Children,” Evgeniy and Marina Volkova played a childless couple who decided to resort to surrogacy. But it turns out there are two mothers, and the biological parents refuse to take the child of the heroine Alina Lanina.
