Claudia, and this is the official name of Klava Koka , Vysokova was born into a fairly musical family (her father was a record collector, her mother and grandparents were also very musical and loved to sing) and large (there is an older brother and a younger sister, the same age). Childhood and youth
Claudia constantly says that as a child she really wanted to sing and, when they lived in Yekaterinburg, she sang in a jazz choir, which even toured the cities of Russia. In the capital, the competition was more significant, but she stubbornly came to various castings and selections for competitions.
Klava Koka, whose height is 1 m 70 cm, explained in one of her interviews why she took the pseudonym “Koka”. Previously, this was the name for egg yolk, which was associated with the sun. Likewise, Claudia considers her music to be light, delicately colored and cheerful.
The artistic childhood of the future singer
From early childhood, parents noticed their daughter’s artistry and beautiful, light timbre of her voice. Therefore, they decided to enroll her in a music school.
There the girl studied piano and vocals, which in the future helped her get a job as a soloist in a local jazz choir.
When Klava was 12 years old, the Vysokov family moved to Moscow. Here the girl began to successfully perform at various music festivals and fairs, took an active part in talent competitions and repeatedly took first place.
A year later, the future singer became interested in playing the guitar and writing her own lyrics.
Thus, Claudia threw out accumulated teenage feelings and emotions. Then, she learned to play the drum set, ukulele, and flute masterfully.
First steps to glory
At the age of 18, Klava Koka became a finalist in the “I am an Artist” music competition, and then took part in the Russian pop diva Alla Pugacheva’s show “Factor A” . She made it into the top six, and the first song was a success, but the second was not. After severe criticism, she dropped out of the competition, but did not give up, which testifies to her persistent, strong and purposeful character.

Before she became famous
In parallel with participating in city musical events and castings in her childhood and adolescence, Claudia composed compositions and posted them on the Internet. She recorded her premiere song at the age of 12, and “Cuz I See ,” after which she woke up famous in a very specific circle, at 14.
Deciding to become a musician
Klava apparently made her final decision on choosing a profession after winning Timati’s “Young Blood 2015” , as a result of which she was offered a contract with Black Star . She got into the top six with her country-pop in 2 days, but then came a difficult and varied musical work process, which included putting together a street concert, a live interview, a photo shoot with a snake around her neck, working as a saleswoman, a climbing wall, and the ability to style and dressing inexpensively and, naturally, singing compositions. With her final "Space Ranger" she amazed all the spectators and the jury.
First money and jobs
At the same time, the family lived quite poorly and in her youth Klava did not shy away from even meager part-time jobs, posting advertisements, handing out leaflets, standing at the counter of various retail outlets, acting in extras and even... singing in a restaurant.
Contract with Black Star
Klavdiya is very pleased with her work at Timati’s label, as the atmosphere is relaxed and not suffocating. She wrote her first composition “May” at home, as they say, “on her knee” with a guitar. In the studio, everything was processed stylishly and what the new artist of the label wanted was born, only in a very professional and cool way. A week later they started filming the video.
Creative freedom allows Klava Koka to develop her own individual style, which some believe is very similar, but not copying, Taylor Swift's country-pop.
Music career
Working for a prestigious label, Klava composed and sang 19 compositions, including starring in 18 video clips, a third of which she mostly came up with on her own. To this day, Klava Koka not left Black Star.
