Arina Postnikova: “Diets are a very dubious attempt to become slim”

Childhood and youth

Arina Postnikova was born in the Urals, in Nizhny Tagil. Almost from the cradle, the girl showed interest in creativity. At the age of 4, her parents took the active and inquisitive little girl to a dance studio, where she studied folk dancing and classical choreography.

Soon Arina was enrolled in the children's ensemble "Rodnichok". A little later, she began to additionally study vocals at the Surprise music studio.

After graduating from school, Postnikova no longer saw any other path for herself other than to become an actress, but she did not dare to go to the capital’s universities. The girl went to Yekaterinburg and entered the local state theater institute to study the course of People's Artist Vladimir Ivanovich Marchenko. By the way, while a student, she worked as a reporter on one of the local TV channels.

During her studies, Arina played in more than a dozen performances, and after receiving her diploma, she moved to Moscow and joined the troupe of the Moscow Musical Theater. Her debut took place in the musical play “All About Cinderella”.

Actress Arina Postnikova: “Oh, I could cope with more than one million!”

Photo by Elena MAK Arina Postnikova was born in Nizhny Tagil.
The viewer knows the actress from her roles in such films and TV series as “Survive After”, “The Eighties”, “Island”, “Almond Flavor of Love”, “Complete Transformation”, “Saving Pushkin”, “Michelle”, “On the Threshold of Love” etc. - Arina, you starred in the series “The Eighties”, as a journalist from “Ogonyok”. What do you like about those years - some details, things, music?

— The most precious thing that was at that time was human communication. No social networks, internet. To communicate, you need to agree and meet. Of course, wonderful music. In the foreground then there was a person, only then came the clothes he was wearing. And now the image, the wrapper, and only then the personality itself are important.

— Are you nostalgic for the past?

- Well, of course, I’m nostalgic. I think we all have bright, warm memories that are dear to us, that made us who we are. People who are not with us continue to live in our memories. These emotions are needed, they must be stored. But at the same time, it is important not to live in the past, but to look forward and move into the future. Live for today. I myself am learning how to easily get rid of old things, part with people who don’t need you. Something new will definitely replace the old. And perhaps this new thing will give you a billion times more happiness than what you were holding on to with such rapture.

- Could you handle a lot of money, say a million dollars?

- Oh, I could handle any amount! Anyone who doesn't know where to spend this money doesn't know anything about life. There are many people around us who need our help, including people, animals, and nature. They should be helped. And if there is such an opportunity, this should be done. Not forgetting about your friends, about your parents, about your planet.

— Which of the venerable old-school actors did you act with?

— I starred with the wonderful Igor Yasulovich in the film “Saving Pushkin.” He deeply impressed me as a person and a professional. Igor Nikolaevich is a representative of that old school, which, to my great regret, we have lost. He was so touching, he existed so honestly that every second I wanted to come up and hug him.

In the second year of study, the whole class came to Moscow, and several of us got a ticket to the Vakhtangov Theater for Rimanas Tumanas’s play “The Pier.” The second year of theater institute is a time of doubt. When do you start to wonder if you are worthy of this profession? And when I watched how Yuri Yakovlev, Vladimir Etush, Vasily Lanovoy worked on stage - an incredible cast in a magnificent performance - I realized that I would try very hard to become worthy of this profession.

— You come from Nizhny Tagil. Have you been in your hometown for a long time? How do people live there?

— Unfortunately, I don’t go there often. But my whole family lives in the city, my beloved parents, my grandmother. Great-grandmother lives near Nizhny Tagil. And it’s really hard for people there. I'm worried about this. Most of the residents were left without work, including my family. The jobs that the city can offer them have such a paltry salary that I wouldn’t want my parents to waste their energy, time and health for these pennies.

The former mayor of Nizhny Tagil, Sergei Nosov, did a lot for the city: he built dozens of kindergartens, a new embankment, and renovated the circus. But as soon as he left, all development and transformation of the city stopped. And most of all, it’s a shame for the townspeople left without work, for pensioners, people who have worked all their lives for the good of their country, and are now left with nothing.

— In the melodramatic series “Michelle” you have the main role. Why do you think so many melodramas are being made now?

— Melodramas have always been interesting to the viewer. Just remember the Brazilian and Mexican TV series that were watched with rapture all over the world. People like to watch events unfold in the lives of others. It's always sharper, brighter. And when you see that a hero on television, experiencing grief, copes with all difficulties and becomes a happy person, you get the feeling that the same will happen to you. This inspires, inspires and gives support to the viewer.

— What extreme situations did you have on the set of the film “Pain Threshold”?

— This picture is one of the brightest adventures of my life. Firstly, I saw the incredible beauty of the Altai Mountains. And I am sure that viewers who have not been to those parts, after watching the film, will want to immediately be there.

And the filming itself can be compared to a sprint race. We have passed a real test of our physical, professional and human qualities. Once we almost crashed against a rock. Our cat was drawn in by a mountain stream. None of the four of us who were in the boat at the time had experience in mountain rafting on wild rivers. It was a hard adrenaline rush.

— Didn’t you have understudies? Why risk yourself like that?

— We used stunt doubles only when performing super-complicated stunts - for example, turning over on a raft. It was so dangerous that even one of our most experienced instructors injured his leg.

— Weren’t you afraid to pose naked for one famous glossy magazine?

— No, it was one of the most experienced teams I have ever worked with. I consulted with my parents and agent and went to the editorial office to meet everyone personally.

- And what did dad and mom say?

- You know, I always have absolute support from my family. We decided that it should not be vulgar and vulgar, and we did not do an erotic photo shoot, but an acting one. They filmed in a quarry in Khimki, but no one believes that this is Moscow. Amazing location! I am not the most standard type of sexy woman in the minds of men. I'm not tall, I'm covered in scars from martial arts training. But I love myself and accept myself as I am. I believe in myself. And many, in pursuit of some “ideals,” undergo endless plastic surgery. We are all so different, so cool! And with this photo shoot I wanted to show girls with the same data that they should accept themselves for who they are. It’s so important to love yourself!

The artist maintains a personal account on Instagram, where she posts candid photos, for example, from a photo shoot, where she appears in a swimsuit and topless, when she covers her bare chest with a hat. Fans note Arina’s resemblance to her colleague Christina Asmus. They have almost identical parameters and are filmed in similar roles.

The performer demonstrates her slender figure (height 165 cm, weight 43 kg) not only from the pages of social networks - the girl starred in a hot photo shoot for Maxim magazine.

According to Arina, even with a heavy workload, every girl should pamper herself. Postnikova herself takes a course of multivitamins every fall, and in her handbag she has a kit for emergency cosmetic procedures. The artist gives an important role in good health to proper sleep.

Movies

The cinematic biography of Arina Postnikova began in 2013 in the action-packed film “Mission 1.2” in the role of Natalie. Then there was the crime detective “Restless Area”, after which the young actress was invited to the 5th season of the very popular youth sitcom “The Eighties”. Postnikova played Sasha Novikova, a journalist from the legendary publication Ogonyok.

We can’t help but mention another large-scale project - the fantasy thriller “Survive After,” where the actress plays the main role of Christina. This is a dystopian series, the action of which takes place in Moscow, cut off from the outside world. The city suffered a chemical attack, causing residents to turn into violent zombies. In the 3rd season, after the uprising of mutants, regular troops entered the city, dividing Moscow into safe zones and places occupied by zombies.

The actress also performed well in the soulful melodrama “Almond Flavor of Love,” where she played the main role. Arina reincarnated as a young girl Katya, who is preparing for her wedding with her chosen one.

The bride's happiness is overshadowed only by the fact that the son of the head of the local factory, Marat (Stanislav Erdley), is in love with her. For greater believability, Postnikova was not afraid to appear in front of the screen without makeup. This made the girl look more defenseless, which helped reveal the image even more deeply.

In addition, Arina appeared in the romantic-fantasy comedy “Complete Transformation.” It is curious that Arina Postnikova got to the casting of the last of the mentioned films completely by accident. She came to audition for a minor role in some youth thriller, where she was noticed by screenwriter Pavel Sanaev and director Philip Korshunov, who immediately assigned the actress to the main female character.

In 2020, Arina began working on an action-adventure drama about survival in extreme conditions, “Pain Threshold.” After a scandalous road accident, two boys and two girls go to the Altai Mountains to hide and relax, but are faced with events that cast doubt on their survival.

In the same 2016, the actress appeared in two more roles. Postnikova played in the melodrama “Ghost for Two”. The main character of the film, Vera (Olesya Fattakhova), lives, as it seems to the girl, in a prosperous marriage with Denis (Petar Zekavica). Circumstances force Vera to meet her husband’s ex-wife (Alena Sozinova), to be surprised to learn that she became disabled after an accident, and to make friends with her rival, which angered Denis, who wants his exes to suffer alone. In 2020, the 2nd season of the series “Island” was released with the participation of Postnikova. Comedy characters no longer strive to win at any cost, but dream of getting home faster. In 2020, she had a real breakthrough in her film career, which had just begun, thanks to her role in the fifth season of the series “The Eighties.” The image of Ogonyok magazine journalist Sasha Novikova, who stood up for the truth, turned out to be so bright and convincing that the aspiring actress was immediately bombarded with interesting directorial proposals. Arina came to the studio 5 times, each time recording new scenes. In the same year, she became the central character in the 2-part melodrama about the classic love triangle “Almond Taste of Love.” The filming was interesting, but it was emotionally difficult for the actress: in one of the scenes, her character had a miscarriage.
