Artist's hobbies
Already at school, Rybnikov constantly participated in school amateur performances, and in the local drama theater he was listed as a supporting actor. He was also great at faking voices, which the actor took advantage of when pulling pranks. Knowing about the unpleasant act of his dorm neighbor, he was lured into a room where the announcer revealed all the ins and outs. The students turned pale with fear. But in fact, Rybnikov was sitting in the closet and speaking in the voice of an announcer into a microphone connected to the radio. There is an incident in his biography that could have ruined his acting career.
Imitating the voice of the famous announcer Levitan, he read out on the radio, which was in the room, “Government Decree on a sharp reduction in prices.” The news quickly spread beyond the dormitory and Rybnikov was kicked out of the institute. The investigator did not open a criminal case, but considered it all just a student joke. Later the case was hushed up, and the actor was reinstated at the institute. These events prompted Pyotr Todorovsky to make the film “What a Wonderful Game” where the ending was tragic.
Another hobby of the actor was chess. As his wife recalled, he constantly wanted to win against Efim Geller, and when he lost he was very worried. Unlike his on-screen characters, in real life the actor was an intelligent and educated person. He had a huge library, which he collected during his tours, buying rare copies of books.

When the war began, Kolya’s father went to war. And my mother, along with her two sons, moved to Stalingrad to live with her sister. She thought it would be safer there than in her hometown. A short time later, the family received news about the death of their father at the front, my mother could not cope with such news, and after living for a short time, she also died. So the boys were left without parents.
Nikolai studied at school, and even then he tried his hand at acting, performing at local matinees and theater productions. But, despite the talent he discovered, after graduating from school the guy entered the Stalingrad Medical Institute. True, after a couple of years of study, he realized that he did not like this profession, took the documents and left for Moscow to pursue his dream of an acting career.
Arriving in Moscow, he was able to enter VGIK without difficulty and on the first try. All teachers noted his abilities and ambition. The guy managed to achieve what others could not. And his acting talent simply captivated with its versatility. He played both comedic and dramatic roles. Nikolai was also very fond of pranks and often parodied famous personalities, pranking teachers, for which he was more than once going to be kicked out of the institute, but when the actor went on stage and started playing, everyone immediately forgot about all of Nikolai’s pranks.
Immediately after completing his studies, Nikolai managed to get a job at the Stalingrad Theater, where he honed his skills by playing various roles. Having learned about the suicide attempt, one of the actor’s teachers shamed him, saying that a real man would not do such a thing and that his beloved must be won. After this incident, Nikolai began to behave differently.

And although in the 70-80s the actor rarely acted or played cameo roles in the film, Viktor Krokhin’s second attempt, he played insinuatingly and convincingly. Roles in the theater

On the stage of the theater, he liked to experiment and play characters of different nationalities and destinies, and already at the institute he got the roles of Gogol and Peter I. After graduating in 1953, he entered the Moscow Theater-Studio of Film Actors, where he played Klochkov from Chekhov’s work “Anyuta”, Koshevoy in “Quiet Flows the Flow”, Nagulny in “Virgin Soil Upturned”.
Childhood and youth
Nikolai Nikolaevich was born in the city of Borisoglebsk, Voronezh region on December 13, 1930. His father was an actor - he served in the local drama theater. The mother was a housewife, raising two sons (Rybnikov’s brother’s name was Vyacheslav). The brothers were left orphans early - from the beginning of the war, the father, his son’s namesake - Nikolai Nikolaevich - went to the front and soon died, and a few months later the mother also died. The children were left in the care of their aunt, their mother’s sister, who lived in Stalingrad. The eldest Kolya had to replace both his mother and his father. He became independent and businesslike early on - he realized that it was time to start earning a living himself - and, without interrupting his studies at school, he became a stagehand at the Stalingrad Drama Theater. Sometimes he appeared on its stage - the guy’s talent was already noticed and appreciated.
It was from this moment that the boy’s passion for theater began. The boy spent all his free time there. However, after school, Nikolai for some reason decided to change his dream and entered medical school. Perhaps because he remembered his father’s words - he was an actor himself, he did not consider this profession serious and wished a different fate for his sons. But still, the craving for art made itself felt - after studying two incomplete courses, Rybnikov went to Moscow to try his luck.

The actress met and fell in love with Ivan Pereverzev on the set of the film “Sadko” in 1952. But Nikolai did not give up and tried to win her favor. The denouement came unexpectedly. In 1956, Larionova and Pereverznev starred in the same film “The Polesie Legend”. The actress was already expecting a child from Ivan and was due to give birth soon. During filming, the actor leaves for a while, and upon arriving Larionova discovers in his passport a stamp about his marriage to actress Kira Kanoeva, who was also pregnant by him. Soon Larionova leaves Pereverznev and, in a conversation with a friend, describes her difficult situation to her. She, quickly realizing what needed to be done, called Rybnikov and said that Larionova was free.
During this period, the actor was filming the film “Height,” but upon learning about what happened, he runs away from the set and invites Larionova to sign. Personal life of Nikolai Rybnikov
The personal life of Nikolai Rybnikov is quite ordinary, he is not famous for his many novels and throughout his life he had only one wife, she was the love of his life. Once, out of unrequited love, he was even going to commit suicide, but his friends stopped him.
After which one of the teachers found out about the incident, shamed the guy and said that a woman’s attention should be sought, and not pretended to be a martyr. Therefore, Nikolai gathered his courage and began to pursue his beloved. He had to suffer for a long time before Alla agreed to become his wife. At that time, the girl was already pregnant with a girl from another man, but this did not stop Nikolai, and he recognized the born daughter as his own. A month after the wedding, the actors had a daughter, Alena, whom Rybnikov adopted and raised as his own. Four years later, the second daughter Arina is born. During the absence of the actors, the grandmother looked after the children. One day, after a long absence due to filming, one of the girls did not recognize Larionova, calling her “Aunt.” After this, it was decided to place photographs of their parents everywhere, and each time their grandmother convinced them that these were mom and dad. The situation was resolved quite comically. Arriving at the clinic with her youngest daughter, she suddenly pointed to the portrait of Khrushchev, shouting “Dad.” Nikolai Rybnikov never singled out any of them; he tried to treat everyone equally. But he was still more proud of Alena. This is evidenced by joint photographs with the father of Alena Rybnikova, daughter of Nikolai Rybnikov.
The fate of the girls also turned out differently. Alena became the editing director. Arina, unable to find her place in life, worked briefly in the printing industry. When her father died, she became addicted to alcohol and died in 2004, before she was 43 years old.
