According to CNews, Boyko’s place in the Ministry of Health may be taken by Pavel Pugachev, who worked in the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications until 2012, and after that - deputy head of the presidential department for the use of information technology and the development of electronic democracy.
In the department, Boyko was one of seven deputy ministers and was responsible for issues of digitalization of medicine within the framework of the national project “Healthcare”. Among other things, she advocated for involving medical and technology companies in transforming the medical industry, as well as providing the ability to receive referrals for certain types of tests remotely. According to her, the patient must legally obtain the right to contact doctors via the Internet and, by telling them some symptoms, receive the necessary referrals for tests.
