BIOGRAPHY

Anastasia Stotskaya was born in Kyiv, in the family of an artist and a resuscitator.
Grandfather and grandmother on my mother’s side were also artists. From the age of 5, the girl studied dancing in the ensembles “Barvinochka” and “Kiyanochka” and actively toured. From an early age, Nastya knew that she wanted to become an actress. In 1993, the family moved from Kyiv to Moscow. At first they live in Mytishchi, in a simple working-class area. Elder brother Pavel entered GITIS in the acting department in 1994. Nastya sings in the choir. M.E. Pyatnitsky, visits the choreographic studio at the “Theater of the Moon” by S. Prokhanov. There, a year later, she successfully debuted in the children's pantomime play "Fanta-Infanta", where she plays five roles at once: fairies, gypsies, hussars, black stars and ballerinas. With this performance, Anastasia goes on her first tour of Russia.

After school, Stotskaya entered the RATI, where that year Sergei Prokhanov took an experimental course in the specialty “musical actor”. Already in her first year, the girl dyes her light brown hair red. As Anastasia admits, she just wanted to change her appearance a little and give herself individuality: “I went to the underground passage and bought the brightest paint. At that time I couldn’t go to the salon, I didn’t have that opportunity.”

At the age of 18, Anastasia plays Fleur-de-Lys in the musical “Notre Dame de Paris”, and it is this role that brings the girl popularity and love from the audience.

2002 becomes a truly successful year for the actress. The musical “Lips” based on Nabokov’s novel “Camera Obscura” is being released on the stage of the “Theater of the Moon”, where Stotskaya plays the role of Magda Peters. At one of the premiere performances, Philip Kirkorov sees her, who was just then looking for a young actress to play the role of Roxie Hart in the musical “Chicago”. Kirkorov was so impressed by Stotskaya’s bright appearance, charisma, talent and voice that the issue of finding an actress was resolved. “Soon his director called me, said that they would be holding castings, and invited me to come to the office for a conversation with Kirkorov. I couldn’t even dream of this: Kirkorov would notice me, call me and begin to convince me to do everything to please American producers, because only they approve artists for roles. I left the office completely stunned. At home I read the libretto, listened to the music and... fell in love with the performance, with the magnificent music of John Kander. I've always loved jazz, and while my friends were into pop music, I listened to Liza Minnelli's songs. Between rehearsals at the theater and exams at the institute, I began going to castings. Without realizing the scale of what was happening, she danced, sang, and read monologues without much tension or excitement, easily moving from one round to another. And it was approved,” recalls Anastasia.

Brilliantly performing the role of Roxie Hart in the musical "Chicago", Stotskaya received high marks from critics and won the love of the audience. They especially noted Anastasia’s amazing organic nature in the performance, her excellent vocals and bright appearance. After the project is closed, Kirkorov enters into a 5-year contract with her, and they begin to work together: they go on tour, record joint compositions, and shoot videos. According to Anastasia, the acting profession fades into the background during this period. The singer wins the “New Wave” in Jurmala, records several songs for her debut album. She is actively invited to participate in photo shoots for Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Maxim, Playboy, Harper's Bazaar and Officiel.

Having completed the first course, Nastya turns into a red-haired diva. Studying at the Academy runs parallel to creativity on the theater stage. While visiting the Academy, Nastya was successfully selected for auditions. She plays in an American musical and a domestic one called “Lips.” The actress shines in this musical.

He offers Nastya his production. Nastya simply bursts into the International Competition “New Wave”. At the same time, Kirkorov actively promotes her, as a result of which the girl wins.

And then there is a scandal and a break in relations with Kirkorov. The reason is the posted photos from a party where a girl smokes marijuana with her friends. The photo shows that she is “high”; the girl’s breasts are slightly exposed. Kirkorov is outraged and calls Nastya’s parents.

Two years later, the resentment on both sides passed, and Anastasia made peace with her producer. When the film “Love in the City” was being filmed, Philip invited the girl to the video he created for this film. The song “Just Give Me” became the hit of the season. Anastasia is actively involved in charity work. She takes part in fundraising events for the treatment of sick children and helps people in need.

“My scandalous reputation is greatly exaggerated, people see me on screen and think that I am the same in life. But I have been very modest since childhood. I remember I was nine or ten years old and our family still lived in Kyiv. I studied dancing in the Kiyanochka ensemble. And so, when they wanted to make me a soloist of this ensemble, I flatly refused because I was afraid. Mom tried to persuade me, and I told her: “Mom, I’d rather stand in the second line.” I still have doubt, uncertainty, some kind of fear. I don't know what this is connected with. My mother always told me: “You are my most beautiful, most talented, my star,” but I still doubted it. After the “New Wave” in 2003, where I won the Grand Prix, I remember performing somewhere with Philip Kirkorov. And he announced to me from the stage: “Meet a Russian pop star...” And I stood behind the scenes and thought: God, what a star?!”

ABOUT MEN:

“It doesn’t matter whether he is of the same profession or not, the main thing is that the man loves you. And if he really wants to be with you, he will understand you, forgive you, and adapt, just like a woman. I also adapt to him (my husband - editor's note), I know that it is better for him not to tell him what annoys him. This is an adjustment; it is impossible to find the ideal person so that he is perfect in all your parameters. In principle, I didn’t want my husband to be from the artistic world, because for me a male artist is a closed topic. I believe that this is not a man's profession. Such men are very self-centered; next to him there should be a woman “for him” who will live only his life. Otherwise nothing will work.”

“I like to take care of myself: massages, spas, manicures, pedicures, shopping. I like to read, watch movies, meet with girlfriends. It’s very rare that I feel so tired that I would lie down on the couch and just look at the ceiling. But, as a rule, this never happens, because it seems to me that no, something needs to be done. A second wind immediately opens. When there is really free time in some large block, then, of course, we go on vacation at the seaside, and there is simply a holy thing - to eat delicious food, drink good wine, eat fruit, lie in the sun, swim, sunbathe and do nothing. But this also makes you tired. Everything should be in moderation".
