The actress made her film debut in 1991 in the war drama “Afghan Break” and the crime tragicomedy “Genius”. Then there were several more roles in the films “Year of the Dog”, “Russian Transit”, “Giselle Mania”.

In 1998, Anastasia Melnikova became known throughout the country thanks to the release of the detective series “Streets of Broken Lanterns” about the everyday life of the police on television.

“I got into the series when I had already worked in the theater for several years. My friend, costume designer Nadya Vasilyeva, knew that I really wanted to act in films. Nadya asked director Igor Moskvitin for me. He replied, “I have three boy interns in one of the scenes. Let there be a girl instead of one boy.” That’s how I ended up filming “Streets...”.

The boy's name was Sasha Abdulov. I was embarrassed that my “hero” had the last name and first name of a popular and beloved artist. They asked me: “What do you want to be called?” The surname was made feminine, but the heroine kept my native name. At first it was assumed that I would only appear in one episode. Luckily for me, the material turned out well. Two episodes were made from it. Then, when Igor Moskvitin was assigned to shoot again, he unexpectedly wrote my character again. So Nastya Abdulova’s line slowly appeared in the series,” says the actress.

The role of operative Abdulova migrated to the television films “Opera. Chronicles of the Homicide Department" and "Foundry". In the crime film "Secret Assignments" the actress played the role of an investigator from the prosecutor's office.

Anastasia also had purely “civilian” roles: in the TV series “The Idiot” and “The Kukotsky Incident.”

The crime series “Sonka the Golden Hand” became an interesting project for Melnikova. The main role went to the actress in the drama “Execution Cannot Be Pardoned,” which dealt with the work of the pardon commission, which was forced to work in conditions of hostage-taking in the colony.

In 2008, with the participation of the actress, the full-length crime melodrama “Demon” was released, where she played the role of a practicing psychologist.

In 2020, the actress played the heroine Irina in the melodrama “Under Electric Clouds”, the mother of Lisa and Kostya in the family fairy tale “12 Months. A New Fairy Tale,” a famous actress in the melodramatic comedy “Casanova’s Earring.”

In 2020, Anastasia Melnikova played the main character Olga in the melodrama “Ivan” about an ambulance driver whose life changes after the appearance of a little girl.

Despite the advice of her parents, who recommended that their daughter think about a career in medicine, Anastasia Melnikova was not at all eager to continue the family dynasty. At an early age, she dreamed of becoming... a ballerina. After school, she attended classes at a specialized school, and in the evenings she collected newspaper clippings with photographs of her favorite dancers.

Trying to help his daughter realize her dream, the father of our today’s heroine once took her to see young dancers with the famous teacher of the Mariinsky Theater Yastrebova. However, little Nastya’s performance did not make much of an impression on the famous prima. Noting the proportions of the young dancer’s figure that were not suitable for ballet art, Yastrebova unequivocally rendered a verdict - Melnikova would not become a ballerina.

Such words greatly hurt the little girl, but at some point her father came to the rescue again. Trying to find a new bright hobby for his daughter, he took little Nastya to theater group classes. This is how Melnikova became acquainted with the profession that was destined to become her destiny in the future. Personal life

After graduating from the theater institute, Anastasia married producer Vyacheslav Telnov, who now runs the Lenfilm film studio. For the sake of her husband, Nastya left the stage for eight years, which ultimately caused a break in the relationship.

Later, Anastasia had another love, which the actress does not like to remember. This man was a fleeting incident in the actress’s life, but from this connection a daughter, Maria, was born in 2002.

In 2020, there were reports that Anastasia Melnikova got married again. Anastasia and Sergey celebrated the wedding, which was attended only by the newlyweds’ relatives, after six months of dating.
