Student years
When did Timur Viktorovich Efremenkov realize that he wanted to connect his life with dramatic art? This can hardly be called a conscious decision, since everything happened by accident. After graduating from school, the young man set off to conquer the capital. Soon after moving to Moscow, he ended up on the set of the film Antikiller. He found the action so exciting that he decided on his choice of profession.
It is known that Timur tried to enroll in several theater universities in the capital. The capable guy was taken to the Shchukin School, he was enrolled in the course of V.V. Ivanov. The actor still remembers his mentor with warmth. In 1999, Efremenkov became a graduate of Shchuka.
First roles
For several years after graduating from college, Timur Viktorovich Efremenkov could not find a job. The aspiring actor was forced to do odd jobs, but did not give up and continued to go to castings. In 2006, fate finally rewarded the young man for his perseverance. Timur was offered to play a doctor in the television project “Cursed Paradise”. His character was a doctor who works in a brothel.
Efremenkov’s role was episodic, but directors paid attention to him. Military personnel, law enforcement officers, criminals are the characters that the actor began to play after “Cursed Paradise.” This role suited him quite well, since his excellent sports training helped him cope with such roles. “Commercial Break”, “Zone”, “Law and Order”, “Hijacking”, “Court Column”, “Daddy’s Daughters”, “Travelers”, “Trace”, “Sea Soul”, “Atlantis”, “Agony of Fear” , “The Hour of Volkov”, “I am a Bodyguard” - Timur starred mainly in TV series.
Movies
The actor’s creative biography did not begin immediately. Six years after graduating from college, he was not in demand as a film actor. His “finest hour” came in 2005, when Timur was approved for the role of Aibolit in the series “Cursed Paradise.” Subsequently, he was often offered to play bandits, murderers, bodyguards, and military personnel. A landmark year in the actor’s life was 2009, when he played former investigator Anton Karev in the TV series “Sword.” The plot tells the story of an underground group of former law enforcement officers and military personnel who united to fight crime. They fought with their own methods, which were not always legal.
By the way, in one of his interviews Timur Efremenkov said that the position of his hero, who carries out lynching, is close and understandable to him, because in life the law often turns out to be powerless in the face of criminals. Before Timur Efremenkov was approved for this role, he went through several castings and screen tests. Sports training also helped. The actor recalls that the creative team quickly found a common language, and there were no frictions on the set. But there were injuries. But, according to Timur, these were pleasant injuries, because they performed all the stunts in “The Sword” themselves.
After the series there were other roles. Efremenkov starred in the action movie “Skerries-18”, the TV series “Lawyer-7” and “Law and Order”. For his role in the military drama “Quiet Outpost,” the actor received a prize from the International War Film Festival.

Finest hour
In 2009, Timur Viktorovich Efremenkov finally truly attracted the attention of the audience. His filmography was supplemented by the crime television project “Sword”. The series tells a fascinating story about an underground group. Its participants are former military and law enforcement officers who set the goal of eradicating crime. The methods they use often do not comply with the law.
Former investigator Anton Karev, Timur’s character, joins this group. The hero has his own reasons for hating the bandits, so he undertakes to fight them with all his ardor. Efremenkov admits that he understands his character in many ways. He is also outraged by cases where dangerous criminals escape accountability due to insufficient evidence.
It was difficult to get the role of Anton Karev, but Timur managed to leave his competitors behind. The creators of the series decided on his candidacy because they liked the sports training of a native of the Smolensk region. During filming, the actor did not use the services of stuntmen; he preferred to perform all the stunts himself.

Timur and his ex-wife Yulia - why they divorced
In 2008, Timur Efremenkov met Yulia Kiriyenko in a cafe in Krasnodar. On Timur’s part, it was love at first sight, and he spent a long time wooing the girl. At first, the couple lived in a civil marriage, and in 2012 they decided to legalize their relationship. At first, their personal life was going well; the couple traveled a lot together, sharing happy photos with friends and fans.
The family idyll did not last long; in 2020, the couple separated. This was preceded by numerous infidelities of her husband, but the main reason for Timur and Yulia’s divorce was the man’s passion for gambling. The girl was tired of living in inconstancy and fear of losing all her money, for the same reason Julia was afraid to give birth to children.
