Dmitry Pozov: talented participant in the show “Improvisation”

Biography

Dmitry Pozov knows firsthand that laughter prolongs life, so he tries to smile himself and makes a multi-million army of viewers laugh, because he participates in the original show of the TNT channel - “Improvisation”. This young man began his creative career in KVN, as did Mikhail Galustyan and Sergei Svetlakov, but not all of Dmitry’s fans realize that he is a doctor by training.

Humorous career

Dmitry began to study acting and humor when he entered the university. In his youth, Dmitry Pozov worked as a toastmaster. In Voronezh, Dmitry was a recognizable presenter. Many city residents wanted to see him on their holiday. In addition to his work as a presenter, Dmitry Pozov played in the university KVN team “BV”, and then in the team “Order 390”. Dmitry Pozov not only played on the team, but also wrote the script.

After working in his specialty for several years, Dmitry Pozov decided that he wanted to radically change his field of activity. So the young man began to undergo many castings, various humorous projects. Later, Dmitry Pozov got into the “Controversial Issue” project, the essence of the project was the same as that of the “Improvisation” show.

Childhood and youth

The biography of Dmitry Pozov is shrouded in a veil of mystery, because there is very little information on the Internet about this participant in the “Improvisation” show. The future showman was born on June 11, 1985 in the city of Stary Oskol, in the Belgorod region, and grew up in a large family with his brothers and sisters.

There is practically no information about Dmitry’s parents. It is known that his mother Angelina Pozova graduated from the Kazan State Medical University, and his father Temur was a student at the Belgorod State Agrarian University named after V.Ya. Gorina.

It is noteworthy that, having received a certificate of secondary education, the young man decided to follow in the footsteps of his parent: Dmitry became a student at the Voronezh Medical Academy. After graduating from the Faculty of Dentistry, Pozov continued to gnaw on the granite of science and entered graduate school, defended his thesis and became a candidate of medical sciences.

Our last guest from the show “Improvisation” told us everything about himself.

The actors of the show “Improvisation” on TNT - Anton Shastun, Sergey Matvienko and Arseny Popov - have already honestly told us a lot of interesting things about themselves and each other. Today we have the last participant in the show - Dmitry Pozov.

You will find out what Dmitry wants to do with Sergei Matvienko in the fairy tale about him, what he is terribly interested in and why he does not laugh with Danila Poperechny. And you will also understand why Sergei Matvienko was right (you will see him too).

Intro: we deal with Dmitry’s hometown and nickname.

— Hometown is a difficult question, because I was born in Kursk, grew up in Stary Oskol in the Belgorod region, lived my conscious life in Voronezh, and now I live in Moscow.

What's my nickname? Listen, it always revolved around my last name and my nationality: I was either a Greek, or Poses, or Pozidis. Now Poz - accordingly, they chose the shortest, three letters. Comfortable. Although, I don’t understand why you can’t say Dima - one more letter. They still call me Poz.

Does humor come from childhood?

- Yes, everything from childhood, probably. I remember exactly that once at school I said something stupid - I don’t remember what, but I’m sure it was some kind of stupidity - and my classmates laughed. And I experienced some kind of cool feeling that, like, I made everyone laugh.

I studied well at school, but at the same time I still remember that very often there were bad marks for behavior and problems with this. Because if, as it seemed to me, some kind of funny joke or gag arose in my head, then I inevitably voiced it. Then he got paid for it.

I remember exactly the day when I got 5 A's and a D for my behavior in English. This is most likely because I said so many jokes that in the end they gave me two for behavior. For some reason I liked it: I couldn’t stop, I couldn’t take this joke home or anywhere else. If I understood that now I had to blurt out something and do something, then I did it.

Of course, I didn’t think then that this could be done. Back then I wanted to become a ninja first, then a football player. And when I realized that it wasn’t working...

Do your relatives like to joke?

“Somehow I don’t have the feeling that I have a very serious family.” No one, naturally, dealt with humor at any professional level, but I remember for sure that my grandfather turned all gatherings into clownery. Even as an old man, he could, in addition to telling anecdotes/stories/jokes/jokes, dress up in some funny way, put on a bandana, and a guitar, although he could not play it. If only his grandchildren would giggle at him.

Who or what can make you laugh until you cry right now?

- Of course, it’s harder to make me laugh than an ordinary person, because that’s what I do. But this is when we are talking about some absolutely adequate humorous programs or events. Yes, some program cannot make me laugh as much as an ordinary person, because I can even predict a joke in advance very often. I see how the situation in the program is developing, and I know how it will end.

By depriving us of all this, we gain something else - we can be made to laugh by a huge number of things that would not make an ordinary person laugh.

Top 3 in humor

— There is Louis C.K., of course, a famous American stand-up comedian. In general, everything he does is funny to me. Besides the fact that he undresses in front of women when they don’t mind it, that’s not very funny.

Of the Russians - well, Ruslan Bely. Overall, I always find it interesting to watch. I can't say that I always laugh, but at least it's interesting. Even as a character he is interesting.

Urgant, but it’s hard to call him a comedian. I understand his humor, I laugh from this humor, and very often he finds something that can make me laugh. But calling him a comedian is probably not very correct.

For me to fundamentally follow the work of some individual people - of course, there is no such thing. And you can look at some comedian and understand that, yes, he does everything right, that’s why they laugh, in general, everything is correct, but I don’t laugh at all.

Now, if now, without going into details, who is a comedian and who is not a comedian, I don’t consider Danila Poperechny a comedian. The public thinks. It’s not funny to me even on the level that I don’t understand where it can be funny in principle. Sometimes I see how a joke is structured, but it’s not funny to me, and then I don’t even see the joke. That is, he simply talks, sometimes with obscenities, sometimes for fourteen-year-olds, on some pseudo-sharp topics. They are sharp, but he doesn’t talk about them sharply, he talks about them the way I would talk about them in the kitchen. Here I am sitting with friends and can discuss all the latest events with obscenities - it’s not funny, we’re just discussing it, we’re somehow indignant, well, nothing more. It's not funny to me.

I’m not embarrassed to admit it at all, but what’s wrong? I’m sure a lot of people don’t find my humor funny – and that’s okay. The main thing is not to be offended. They are all impudent, but touchy, on the Internet. They’re so funny: like, shitting on someone is the theme, but what about them: “Oh, damn, that’s a shame...”.

How did you realize that humor was your path?

— At some point I tried to combine humor and my profession, which I studied at the institute, because humor in Russia is such a dangerous path. I cannot recommend it to anyone because it is very easy to achieve nothing in this matter. And if you achieve nothing in humor from the point of view of television and now, perhaps, the Internet, then you are, in general, hungry. It is impossible to do humor in Voronezh, Volgograd, Novosibirsk, and so on, and not be hungry. Only if you simultaneously work as an event host - that’s it, this is the only way that can save a comedian.

Perhaps some other part-time work, such as writing jokes remotely, but, by and large, betting on this is very risky. For the time being, I tried to sit on two chairs, like any normal person: I understood that I wanted and dreamed of developing in this direction, but if suddenly things didn’t work out, well, I’ll treat people, okay.

Throughout college I tried to remember this and, accordingly, studied normally, so that it wouldn’t look like I was stupid after college. I remembered this during residency, during graduate school, but at some point it became clear that everything would not work out like this: either you need to focus here or there. That's it, and at some point I made a very difficult decision for myself - that I was ready to take a risk.

At that moment it became clear that either I need to achieve something here - get to TV, to concerts, and so on - or, well, it’s all bad, I’ll be an event host and, at best, I’ll be able to build some kind of event business . What kind of event business can be built in Voronezh? Pretty average.

I tried to take a risk - that's all. Happened. How did it happen, and is it worth the risk? I don’t teach anyone, I don’t advise anyone.

Is there any difference between men and women in humor?

- Absolutely yes. Now, no matter what you say, no matter where you say it, everything is perceived as some kind of sexism and other crap. I have absolutely respect for women, I just believe that there are some things that are different for men and women.

Humor is one of those things. Humor is more difficult for a woman. Because often, when a man says something stupid, everyone understands that he says it on purpose, that he doesn’t think so, that he’s just playing around. And when a woman says something stupid, many people begin to think that she thinks like that.

There are approximately equal numbers of us, or rather, there are even more of you; accordingly, statistically, if it were equally easy for men and women to engage in humor, many women would engage in humor. There are few KVN teams, and there are few stand-up comedians. Now a women’s stand-up show is launching soon on TNT, and it’s difficult to find people there - there aren’t as many of them as there are men.

Plus, women probably like it less. Plus, it’s harder for a woman to step over herself and say to herself: “Yes, I’m funny.” A woman, of course, wants to be attractive.

What is the first thing you pay attention to when you see a woman?

— An adult wants to say “intelligence.” All this, of course, is nonsense - no one pays attention to intelligence now. The era of social networks, visual perception of the world.

I, if visually, yes in person, like any person. This is not a question of beauty, sexuality, and so on. I see a person and, first of all, I perceive him like this.

What does a woman pay attention to when she sees you?

- I have no idea. Exactly when he sees - in general, I have no idea.

Are they funny and mischievous girls or calm and reasonable?

— Let’s start with the fact that my work is so against the rules that it would probably be quite difficult for an ordinary woman: I’m away very often, I go on tour, I disappear on set, I can work day, night, Saturday, Sunday . On the contrary, I can have a day off on Monday. After filming, I can come to my senses for several days; after a tour, for several days at home I’m just like a cretin, because it seems to me that I’m still at the hotel, that I don’t have to clean my bed after myself, and so on. All this is not a very ordinary life in the broad sense.

And, probably, the majority of women who saw their lives in a more standard way - left in the morning, came in the evening, spent the evening together, took the child to kindergarten - if she follows these rules, then well, that’s it, I’m absolutely finished. She would have cut me down so much that I would no longer know where I went. And so, why - let him laugh and giggle.

Are you often funnier off camera than on camera?

— What’s funny behind the scenes is usually what amuses us, some internal stories. Something that goes against the filming process, television, and so on. It's very funny to us, but I'm pretty sure that most of it won't be very funny to the average viewer. If only because it is not clear.

Of course, there are some unfortunate moments, takes that would amuse everyone. Maybe someday we'll release them. I know that this is a fairly common practice in the West, when, especially during the DVD era, entire collections of some unfortunate moments were released. Maybe we'll release it.

What kind of test would you come up with for Pavel Volya for his suffering in “mousetraps” and “electric shocks”?

- Yes, it seems to me that he has already come up with a test for himself - he hosts everything that can be hosted on TNT. He moves from one gear to another. If you have ever seen him in this endless process - he is trying to somehow compactly fit it all into a schedule, so that today he has a Battle, tomorrow he has “Improvisation”, then “Songs”, then Battle, then “Improvisation” , then “Songs”, then Comedy, and then he went to other things or to his family, and so on. Now, if you see him in this process in the morning, for example, in the tired state he is in while filming, it will become clear that he does not need to come up with tests.

But, of course, he has the incredible professionalism to turn on with a snap of his fingers, as soon as the camera and lights turn on, and the shooting begins. In a TV movie you will never see that he is tired or having a hard time. But we understand: here we have a program, and we are also very tired, and it is difficult to imagine ourselves in such a mode, when there are only so many television shows, not counting concerts, advertisements, events.

And he’s not 25, I think that’s no secret. Pash, I'm sorry.

What else do you enjoy besides humor? What are your hobbies?

— I’m a football fan, I understand that now. At first I refused when they told me that I was very passionate about football, but now I understand that, perhaps, yes. I watch it directly, I play it to the best of my ability, I play it on a console - the boys gave me a portable console, I’m on all the planes, hotels, breaks, when there’s nothing to do. I don’t know, the year 3000 has probably started for me there. I really love it.

Who and how from your four (“Improvisation”) can make you laugh the most?

- Well, Arseny, of course. Because his head doesn't work like a normal person's head. I put a completely positive message into this.

He does it as unexpectedly as possible: he can remember or say, or even look somewhere else, and something arises that you didn’t expect at all. And this is, in fact, the basis of humor - all these paradoxes, when for any of us the usual flow of things breaks down, and then it becomes funny to us.

Arseny can do this better than anyone. Not every second, of course, of his life, perhaps at some cost... Maybe he will go crazy before anyone else because of this. We do not know. But this is no secret; it is, of course, what amuses us the most.

Humor and creativity

Perhaps, at the moment, Dmitry would be sitting in a white coat, treating periodontitis, putting fillings and removing diseased teeth from patients. According to rumors, Pozov even became the author of a new method of using polymers for dentures; his colleagues sometimes joke in a friendly way that in his old age Dmitry himself might be the owner of this know-how.

Showman Dmitry Pozov

But fate made adjustments, so the charismatic young man joined the artistic profession. And this is not surprising, because from a young age Dmitry was accustomed to giving his friends and loved ones a smile; at one time the guy even worked as a toastmaster and made the weddings of lovers unforgettable.

Some fans of Dmitry believe that he has already been lost to dentistry, but has been found for the world of show business. Although medicine did not prevent Anton Pavlovich Chekhov and Mikhail Afanasyevich Bulgakov from establishing themselves on their creative path.

Dmitry Pozov

Dmitry Pozov became addicted to humorous activities while still a student. In his free time from classes and lecture materials, the guy came up with humorous skits, so he easily got into the teams “BV” and “Prikaz 390”, in which he participated in the Major League of KVN. It is noteworthy that the young man not only wrote scripts, but was even a member of the jury.

Then, in 2012, the resourceful guy became a full-fledged participant in the improvised show “Controversial Question,” which was founded by Stanislav Sheminov. The essence of the project is that the participants do not have a prepared script, comedians come up with jokes literally on the go thanks to the audience, and the main task of the speakers is to show a given scene or action as funny as possible.

Dmitry Pozov in the show “Improvisation”

For example, comedians improvised on the theme of a first date: a married couple sitting in the hall told the story of how they met, and the guys from “A Controversial Issue” tried to retell in an original form what they heard from the bride and groom.

We can say that improvisation is the most difficult genre in the world of show business, because the artist’s future career depends on the quality of the artist’s performance, especially since the comedian draws the viewer into the creative process.

Dmitry Pozov and Arseny Popov

By the way, initially the “Disputed Question” troupe toured the cities of Russia, but then this show inspired TNT producers to create a similar television program, where Dmitry Pozov, Anton Shastun, Sergey Matvienko and Arseny Popov were invited.

Therefore, already in 2020, Dmitry Pozov began performing in front of television cameras on the federal channel on the “Improvisation” show, hosted by “Comedy Club” resident Pavel Volya.

Dmitry Pozov and Anton Shastun

“Improvisation” is a new show format on TNT, which is radically different from “Comedy Club”, “Comedy Battle” and “Stand Up”, but at the same time has a common grain with these programs - humor. However, “Improv” is not much different from “Moot Point”: comedians also come up with funny skits in real time.

Show business stars are often invited to this show, and they themselves become the objects of jokes invented by the participants. Thus, Alexander Gudkov, Alexander Nezlobin, Anna Sedokova, Yegor Creed, Edgard Zapashny and other famous guests laughed along with the audience.

Creative biography of Dmitry Pozov

Dmitry did not want to continue his medical activities, although, according to rumors, he even developed a new method of using polymer materials for dental prostheses. From his youth, the guy liked to take part in humorous productions. Dmitry was the real life of the party. According to the recollections of friends, everyone liked to be around him, since a good mood and smiles on everyone’s faces were guaranteed. There was a time when Dmitry Pozov tried his hand as a toastmaster and host of festive events.

During his student years, the showman took an active part in amateur performances. He came up with humorous sketches, wrote scripts and even took part in KVN. Together with his classmates as part of the “BV” and “Order 390” teams, he was able to make it to the Major League.

In 2012, the young man was noticed and offered to take part in the show “Controversial Question,” one of the creators of which was Stanislav Sheminov. In this program, Pozov gained experience performing non-stop. The guys were invited to different cities, they happily went on tours. The producers of the TNT channel saw the idea and decided to create their own improvisational show.

Personal life

The personal life of Dmitry Pozov is not a mystery, because the guy communicates with journalists, holds autograph sessions and shares photos on social networks: the comedian is registered on VKontakte and Instagram.

Dmitry Pozov and his wife

Dmitry has a fairly busy schedule, so when returning from Moscow, the showman tries to spend time with his wife and little daughter. Among other things, Dmitry, like Mikhail Efremov, is a fan of the Spartak football team, so he enjoys attending football matches.

Few people know that Dmitry Pozov can play the piano and is not deprived of writing talent. A participant in the “Improvisation” show writes books and film reviews on his Instagram page, in the “Pozovzor” section. Dmitry’s articles are reminiscent of Yevgeny Bazhenov’s reviews: the young man also criticizes Russian cinema, for example, Fyodor Bondarchuk’s film “Attraction” (2017) and Sarik Andreasyan’s film “Defenders” (2017) fell into disgrace.

“You just don’t believe in this, you don’t believe that they decided not to reread the written script, they decided not to rewatch the filmed film,” Dmitry shared his thoughts with subscribers.
