Beginning of acting
Zhenya Gerasimov was born into an ordinary Moscow working-class family in February of one thousand nine hundred and fifty-one. His father worked as a cutter, and his mother kept house. As Gerasimov himself recalls, it seems to him that he has always been an actor. During his school years, he already began acting in films. The fourteen-year-old boy, like hundreds of his peers, passed a screen test in 1965 for the film “They Shall Not Pass.” The boy played the role of Sanka Lymarev, who is experiencing a personal tragedy - engineer Hans Muller comes to their house, with whom his mother falls in love. He emigrated to the USSR from Austria.
A year later, Evgeniy starred in the film “The Man I Love.” He superbly played the main role of the teenager Rodka. It would seem that Evgeny Gerasimov, whose biography was already predetermined, would not experience difficulties in choosing a profession. However, the problem still arose. It should be noted that Evgeniy studied well at mathematics school. After graduating in 1968, he planned to apply to a technical university. But still, my love for cinema prevailed. Therefore, Evgeny Gerasimov became a student at the Shchukin Theater School, acting department. He ended up in the workshop of a great master - A. Borisov.
Childhood
Evgeny Gerasimov, whose biography has been of interest to viewers over the past three decades, was born in Moscow in February 1951. The early years of his life were spent on Plyushchikha.
At first, Zhenya planned to connect his life with science and enter a technical university. That's why he went to physics and mathematics school. During his studies he managed to act in films. As a teenager, Zhenya made his debut in the role of Sanya Rymarev in the film “They Shall Not Pass,” appearing independently at the casting. The picture was released in 1965. This completely changed his aspirations.
After receiving a school certificate, Evgeny Gerasimov becomes a student at Shchuka, choosing the acting department. The course leader was Alexander Borisov.
Film work
In the seventies and eighties, Gerasimov worked a lot in cinema. He became especially popular after working in the popular films “Petrovka, 38” and “Ogareva, 6,” based on the novels of Yulian Semenov. After these films, many directors began to offer the young actor the roles of “tough” guys. It must be said that Evgeny Gerasimov is a sports person; he has ranks in several sports. Therefore, quite often he performed complex stunts himself, without resorting to the services of stuntmen.
Evgeny Gerasimov. The habit of being a hero
This owner of a “hard character in a soft shell” more than once radically changed his fate, and precisely at the moment when everything was working out in his favor. One day, a student at the physics and mathematics school, Zhenya Gerasimov, who was stubbornly preparing to enter a technical university, was spotted on the street by an assistant director from Mosfilm and, as usual, soon found himself “poisoned” by cinema. The first work of a fourteen-year-old teenager was the role of Sanka Rymarev in the drama “They Shall Not Pass,” which was almost immediately followed by the melodrama “The Diary of Rodka Muromtsev - a Difficult Man.” How did Gerasimov develop the “habit of being a hero”?
Cinema entered the life of Evgeny Gerasimov even before birth. On the eve of his birth, his parents went to the Khudozhestvenny cinema; during the screening, his mother became ill and was taken to the hospital. The next morning, dad learned that his son was born. Zhenya Gerasimov spent her childhood and youth on Plyushchikha. The yard was very friendly, and all its inhabitants loved to play ping-pong. The boy also played volleyball, loved football and hockey, and once even enrolled in the gymnastics section.
It all started, as usual, with love, although then, while still in elementary school, Cupid’s arrow overtook his closest friend Kolka. One day a charming girl gymnast came to their class. Kolka immediately fell madly in love with her and, wanting to see the object of his adoration as often as possible, decided to enroll in the same gym in which she trained. A friend was also invited for company. As Evgeny Gerasimov recalls, when he arrived at the appointed time, he had with him a bag with scarce Chinese sneakers for growth, blue sports tights with bubbles on the knees and excellent volleyball shorts, which, however, had nothing to do with gymnastics. Strong Zhenya simply amazed everyone by climbing the rope without using his legs. Kolka’s friend, by the way, never came to the gym then, but Zhenya’s strong muscles and excellent reactions later came in handy in the movies. During filming, he confidently rode a horse and performed difficult stunts without any stuntmen. In the late sixties, Evgeny Gerasimov, having too easily entered the acting department of the famous Shchukin School, decided that something was wrong here, and submitted documents to Shchepkinskoye. To his amazement, he was accepted there too. “That means I have a talent,” Evgeniy decided and no longer resisted fate. After working for some time after graduating from college at the Mayakovsky Theater, Gerasimov became eager to make films, left the theater and enrolled in directing courses. At that time, the actor was in demand by cinema. Among the most notable films in which he played are “Petrovka, 38”, “Ogareva, 6”, “Return of the Resident”, “Teenager”, “Guest from the Future”, “Bartender from the Golden Anchor”. After graduating from the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors, Gerasimov, continuing to act in films, made about a dozen films. His directorial work in the film “A Trip to Wiesbaden” (based on Ivan Turgenev’s “Spring Waters”) was awarded the Pope’s sign “For his contribution to world culture,” and Gerasimov even had an audience with the head of the Catholic Church in the Vatican. The master recalls: “This is a very vivid impression of my life. Almost half an hour conversation with His Holiness, and then a screening of the film in Piazza Venezia in Rome. Russian speech sounded from a huge screen. This event for me is a sign of global recognition.” Today, actor and director Evgeny Gerasimov is also a deputy of the Moscow City Duma, chairman of the cultural commission.
Director's experience
In 1981, Evgeny Gerasimov successfully completed directing courses. He was lucky enough to study in the workshop of Eldar Ryazanov and Georgy Danelia. It is quite natural that his debut in a new capacity was the comedy “Very Important Person”. In nineteen eighty-seven, Gerasimov directed the drama “Fun of the Young” based on the script by V. Merezhko. This picture received a great response from the audience. In it, Evgeny Gerasimov tried to raise the issue of the lack of spirituality of the younger generation.
Gerasimov's activities as a director never went unnoticed. Remember the comedy “Don’t Get Married, Girls,” or the drama “Trip to Wiesbaden.” It should not be thought that during this period he abandoned his main profession. Actor Evgeny Gerasimov, whose biography was inextricably linked with cinema, continued to act. At this time, quite noticeable roles appeared in the films “The End of Operation Resident”, “Five Minutes of Fear”, “Bartender from the Golden Anchor”. In the early nineties, Gerasimov became interested in historical cinema - he directed the films “Richard the Lionheart” and “Knight Kenneth”. In them he played the role of Conrad.
Movies
After leaving the theater, Evgeniy’s work in cinema became more noticeable. In 1980, the actor starred in the film “Ogareva 6” and its sequel called “Petrovka 38”. These films, which tell about the work of Soviet law enforcement agencies, were especially warmly received by the audience. Evgeny Gerasimov played the role of senior lieutenant Valentin Roslyakov, who is one of the main characters along with the characters of Georgy Yumatov and Vasily Lanovoy.

In 1982, the actor starred in small roles in the films “Return of the Resident” and “State Border”. It must be said that over the years of work in cinema, Evgeniy has developed a certain role. The roles of intelligence officers, police officers and front-line soldiers worked out for him especially well and took up a large part among the total number of the artist’s works. During filming, he performed many of the stunts himself; even in the fight scenes, he did not need doubles, since Evgeniy mastered karate techniques and was very athletic.
The actor’s creative growth continued; in 1984, a film was released that won the love of teenagers throughout the Soviet Union. “Guest from the Future” brought Gerasimov, who played the role of the robot Werther, real all-Union fame.

In the nineties, the actor continued to act. Among the notable works were the role of the Marquis of Montferrat in the film “Richard the Lionheart” and the image of the Tin Woodman in the fairy tale “The Wizard of the Emerald City”.

In addition to his acting career, Evgeniy has been dubbing feature films and animated films for over twenty years. Since 1983, Gerasimov became known as a director. He has a dozen works to his credit. In Soviet times, the most famous directorial work of Yevgeny Vladimirovich was the comedy “Don’t Go, Girls, Get Married,” filmed in 1985. In the nineties and two thousand, the director released several more films. Gerasimov served as vice-president of the Russian Film Actors Guild during Nikita Mikhalkov's "sabbatical" in the first half of 2006.
Evgeny Gerasimov: biography, family
It must be said that the actor belongs to that rather small group of representatives of domestic show business for whom life has developed in all directions. Evgeny Gerasimov, whose personal life was successful, in the mid-seventies married a student at the Faculty of Philology, Maria.
They met in the company of friends. Their romance lasted for a very long time - Eugene could not propose to his chosen one. At that time he was already a very famous actor and lived at a frantic pace. He doubted for a long time whether he could also take on family troubles.
In 1977, a girl was born into the family. The daughter was named Olya. In 1883, son Volodya was born.
Biography
The future star of Russian theater and cinema was born in the ancient Siberian town of Nizhneudinsk in the family of a pilot.
During his school years, the boy did not show any zeal for learning; he was a bully and a hooligan. Since childhood, I was seriously interested in hockey, dreamed of becoming a CSKA player, but after the family moved to Rostov-on-Don, the sport did not work out. After eighth grade, I went to study as an assistant electric locomotive driver at a railway school. For some time he worked in the Russian Railways system.
From railway worker to theatergoers
He made a turn in his life after he once stopped in front of portraits of famous actors in the Rostov theater. I looked at them and thought: “Why am I worse?” Since then, I spent a whole year preparing to enter the theater department.
Perseverance and determination paid off. In 2001, Georgy graduated from the St. Petersburg University of Culture and Arts. Upon completion of his studies, he received a diploma as a professional actor.
At the same time, he studied at Shchukinka. As a student, he served in the Rostov Youth Theater, on the stage of which he appeared in supporting roles in productions of “Three Sisters,” “Dogs,” “Hamlet” and “Treasure Island.”
Georgy decided not to waste time in Rostov and moved to Moscow, where he soon moved the rest of the family.
Charming scoundrel
Georgy’s first film roles appeared in the early 2000s, when he appeared in episodes of the films “Flying by Will,” “Rostov Papa” and “Operational Alias.” Moving to Belokamennaya made him a more sought-after actor.
He has become recognizable not only in a narrow professional circle since 2007. Georgy's first starring role was the image of Major Konstantin Lisitsin in the crime series "Trace".
Surprisingly, the actor might not have taken advantage of his chance - due to being busy in another project, he initially refused to star in this project. But the creators of the series turned out to be patient people and did not hold grudges. They persistently called him after a certain time and the actor accepted the offer.
Teslya-Gerasimov starred in “Code of Honor-3”, “Special Purpose Prison”, “Soldiers-8”, “Avtonomka”, “Fire of Love”, “Three Days in Odessa”. But the images created by the actor were far from the main ones. In addition, these were mainly negative characters, while the audience loves positive characters more.
The success and popularity of the serial film contributed to the fact that the actor began to be invited to other films. He played in “Quiet Family Life”, “Wolf Messing”, “Marus”, “Cosmonautics”.
According to the actor, he is not looking for work, she finds him herself. Directors and producers call, invite you to audition, and the process goes on by itself. Georgy Teslya-Terelya is not going to stop there. She dreams of playing in some kind of fairy-tale series, the plot of which would be interesting for both children and adults.
Happy husband
The actor’s personal life is stable and balanced. Since 2004, he has been married to Rostovite Anna, whom he met in 1997. The girl and her friends were sitting on a bench, and Georgy walked past in the company of friends.
After meeting, friendship began, then deeper feelings came. The lovers were in no hurry to legitimize their relationship - Georgy trained as an actor, Anna trained as an obstetrician-gynecologist.
The wedding took place after they had their higher education diplomas in their pockets. In June 2005, the couple had a son, Philip. The wife knows that there is no point in being jealous of her husband’s work, and Teslya-Gerasimov does not give other reasons for jealousy, being an exemplary family man.
