The beginning of creative activity
The musical career of Alexey Zavgorodniy dates back to the age of 11. But first things first. Lesha, together with his friend nicknamed File, attended Potap’s concerts. The guys recorded their songs. And one day they showed their creativity to Potap. At first he didn't like it. But after some time, he nevertheless took up their promotion. The Newzkul group was created, which existed for 2 years. Then Lesha began performing in a duet with a girl. And this project also turned out to be short-lived.
Group "Time and Glass"
Alexey Zavgorodniy met Nadya Dorofeeva at the Artek camp. Both performers had a concert there. They became friends and exchanged phone numbers. Lesha told Potap about a talented girl with a bright appearance. Soon Nadya was invited to audition. The producer was completely satisfied with Dorofeeva’s vocal abilities.
In 2010, the group “Time and Glass” was created. Potap acted as producer. Alexey Zavgorodniy was appointed responsible for the musical accompaniment. Songs for the new duet were recorded over several weeks.
In November 2010, the band presented their first single, “So the Card Fell.” This composition has gained incredible popularity among Russian and Ukrainian listeners. The video of the same name, posted on YouTube, was watched by tens of thousands of people.
In subsequent years, Alexey Pozitiv and Nadya Dorofeeva performed concerts in major cities of Russia and Ukraine. They recorded songs regularly. Among them are such compositions as “Silver Sea”, “Dance with me” and “Tear”.
In 2020, Nadya and Lesha presented fans with their new creation - the song “Name 505”. This composition became a real hit. Last summer it could be heard from almost every window. And the video of the same name has gained over 500 views on Youtube.
Music
Alexey knew how to turn on his parents' tape recorder as soon as he learned to walk. As a child, the artist was fond of the work of Michael Jackson and collected his records. Idols include Alicia Keys and Justin Timberlake. Favorite musical styles were pop, hip-hop, disco-soul, R&B.
Then Zavgorodniy, who created a rap group with Bogdan Stupka’s grandson Dmitry, saw young Potap (Alexey Potapenko) on TV and decided to infiltrate the same crowd. Then the pseudonym Positive appeared. The company included Yugo (Yuri Gorovoy), whom the press calls the first husband of Irina, now Potap’s ex-wife, and Napilnik (Vasily Kotlyarov).
Friends wrote a song and gave Potapenko a listen. The producer was not impressed with the creation of the beginning musicians, but allocated a studio for recording the album and helped with the arrangements.

The newly formed team was called NewZCool. In 2005, the first performance took place at the Black Sea Games, and the following year the disc “School, Bones, Rap” was released. Zavgorodniy is still grateful to Potap for believing in success when no one paid attention to the guys.
Fame came with the soundtrack to the feature film "Adit". In 2007, together with the girls from Queen$, Newzkul released the hit “Lake of Tears”. When the Potap and Nastya project was born, Alexey became a backing vocalist there and performed in hundreds of concerts of the leader in Russia, the United States, Canada, Germany and other countries. This helped the aspiring artist gain experience working in a recording studio, feel free on stage and not be afraid to perform in front of an audience.
In 2010, a new page in Positive’s biography opens. This is the year the group “Time and Glass” was created. The idea of the new team belonged to Potap and Irina Gorova. As the couple later admitted, the name was born at the airport while they were waiting to board the plane.

Potap immediately decided that the duet would be graced by a pretty girl with a good voice. Positive's stage partner was chosen at the casting. The producer liked Nadezhda Dorofeeva. It is noteworthy that the soloists could have met at the competition in 2005, but their paths crossed later, on the way to the Artek children's camp, then in Crimea, where Nadya is from.
Alexey assessed the style of “Time and Glass” as a combination of elements of pop music, underground and all kinds of house - deep, anbient, future and tropical.
The first song presented by the group instantly conquered the Ukrainian and Russian charts, although Zavgorodniy believed that in Russia they learned about them after an invitation to the Comedy Club show, and this only happened in 2020.
“That's how the card fell” was to the taste of the listeners. 2011 brought even greater popularity to young performers. During this period, all radio stations played the hits “Love Point No”, “Silver Sea”, “Tile”. In 2012, the guys delighted fans with the songs “Accordion” and “Tear”.

2 years later, Positive joined Potap, Vadim Fedorov, Eduard Kameneev, Ruslan Storozhik and Andrey Bezkrovny in the new project MOZGI. The group has twice won the M1 Music Awards.
In 2016, “Time and Glass” was also a success - the video “Probably because” gained more than 6 million views on YouTube in less than four weeks. Music critics were not so friendly, suggesting that the new song was reminiscent of the dance track Light it up.
The duo, competing with “Brains,” received the prestigious YUNA Award in the “Best Pop Group” category for three years in a row. The award is considered the main one in the Ukrainian music industry.
Another breakthrough occurred in 2017. The hit of the group “Name 505”, the video for which is the most viewed in the CIS, became the only Russian-language one included in the track list of the world’s best-selling dance computer game Just Dance. “Time and Glass” are included in the same row as Justin Bieber, Queen and Fifth Harmony ft. Kid Ink.
Next, music channels assigned Alexey and Nadya the title of show business trendsetters. This was facilitated by the video “On Style”, a mixture of music, fashion, color and dance. In the frame, the soloists changed their images 4 times.

At the group’s concerts, there were, surprisingly, a lot of children in the auditoriums. Zavgorodny believed: this is because their songs are kind, their costumes are bright, their performances are fun. Little listeners cannot be deceived, and sincere letters and drawings inspire.
It is logical that Positive, together with Dorofeeva, became a star judge and mentor of the vocal show “The Voice. Children" on Ukrainian television. He helped young talents discover their talent. In the fall of 2017, Alexey was seen in the humorous TV show “League of Laughter,” where he performed with the “Krupa” team.
In the spring of 2018, the singer was injured while filming the video “E, Boy.” According to the director's idea, Zavgorodny portrayed a biker. The young man decided to perform the stunts himself, using only lightweight belay. During one of the takes, he fell off his motorcycle and received lacerations and bruises, after which he was hospitalized in a Kyiv clinic.
In the fall of next year, “Time and Glass” presented the VISLOVO program at the Kiev Sports Palace. A transforming stage, 90 artists, 24 numbers and 162 images, special lighting and a new dance style - all this could not but cause a storm of emotions among the audience and Alexey and Nadezhda. The singer admitted that at the end of the concert he locked himself in the dressing room and burst into tears from an overabundance of feelings.
New project – musical group “Brains”
In 2014, there was one more male group in Ukrainian show business. Potap presented his new project - a team called “Brains”. One of the participants in this group was Alexey Zavgorodniy. He is not only a soloist, but also the author of many songs. The second member of the team is Uncle Vanya. This brutal man managed to “show up” in a number of musical projects launched on Ukrainian TV channels.
The group “Brains” has already released their first single “Ayabo” and filmed a video of the same name. The music that the guys create has a folk coloring. Producer Potap announced that his players will soon surprise listeners with new products.
As for the “Time and Glass” group, Lesha has no intention of leaving it. He tries to combine two projects.
Childhood and youth

Positive met his future wife Anna Andriychuk at a house party with a mutual friend. Positive took the first step, and they dated in 2007. Alexey wrote down a declaration of love to Anya on a piece of paper and gave it to her.
On August 17, 2013, the couple got married. Anna took a double surname: Andriychuk-Zavgorodnyaya. The girl is the designer of her own clothing brand Annсhoo.
