The future actor was born in the city of Voronezh on March 12, 1961. From a very early age, he was distinguished by his lively character, and therefore was known as the first hooligan in his area. The local police officer knew him very well, and therefore visits to the district police station were always something ordinary and ordinary for him.

Actor Sergei Selin: the path to the stage
Driven by the dream of a big stage, the former hooligan went to audition for the Moscow Theater Institute, but failed the exams. After this there was a long service in the army, where our today's hero participated in almost all local amateur performances. He played the trumpet, went on stage as an actor and, hearing stormy applause, thought that on his second try he would definitely be able to enter the theater school.
However, everything turned out a little differently. The second attempt to enter a theater university (this time LGITMiK) turned out to be no better than the first. Therefore, very soon Sergei Selin began to lose hope. Returning to Voronezh, he entered the local technological institute, but did not study here for long. After waiting two years, our today's hero left the university and again decided to go to the theater institute exams. On the third attempt, he finally achieved the desired height. Sergei Selin became a student at the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography, and at the same time got a job as a janitor in order to somehow provide himself with money.
Career of actor Sergei Selin
In 1987, the talented young actor finally received the coveted diploma from a theater university and began performing in Leningrad theaters. Our today's hero began acting in films a little later - in 1990. The debut role for Sergei Selin was the film “Sideburns”, in which the actor got a cameo role.
Subsequently, the Voronezh actor began acting in other Russian films. It is very noteworthy that in the early nineties he predominantly played the roles of police officers, security guards, prisoners, executioners and other controversial personalities.

Subsequently, our today's hero repeatedly returned to the roles of police officers, operational officers and other guardians of order. The actor played Dukalis himself in two different television series (“Deadly Force” and “Opera”). He worked with such actors as Konstantin Khabensky, Andrey Fedortsov, Alexey Nilov, Boris Klyuev. Sergei Selin also had the chance to return to the role of an operative, but under his own name, in the TV series “Liteiny, 4,” which was released in 2007 and is still being filmed today.
