In the difficult life of a peasant he had to cope with many difficulties, but this did not prevent Anatoly Dmitrievich from making progress in his studies. He graduated from secondary school with honors in 1969. Afterwards the young man headed to Moscow. Here he entered the prestigious Agricultural Institute named after V.P. Goryachkin. During his student life, Anatoly Dmitrievich was actively involved in cultural activities and was even a member of the faculty bureau of the Komsomol. Regular activities and community service helped develop communication skills, and close relationships with people helped develop a passion for the “common cause.”

After several academic years, in 1974 Artamonov graduated from the institute with a specialist diploma in agricultural mechanization. However, the learning process did not end there. Later, the young man graduated from the Higher Party School of the CPSU and the Moscow Cooperative Institute with a specialty in economic sciences.

Childhood and youth

The future statesman was born in the spring of 1952 in the Kaluga region. He spent his childhood and youth in the village of Krasnoye. Anatoly Dmitrievich is the first-born in a large peasant family. After him, five more brothers and sisters were born. Mom, the keeper of the hearth, looked after everyone. The head of the family earned authority among the villagers as an excellent carpenter and veterinarian.

Since childhood, the guy has been accustomed to working. At the age of 7, he was already driving a car, tending cattle with his brothers and sisters and working in the garden. At the age of 11, the teenager earned his first money and gave his mother a gift - he bought a dress.

Helping his parents with housework, the eldest son managed to study. Having successfully completed high school, he entered the Moscow Institute of Agricultural Engineers. In 1974 he received a diploma of higher education and a specialist degree in agricultural mechanization.

Later, in 1989, he graduated from the Higher Party School, and in 2008, Artamonov defended his doctoral dissertation at the University of Economics and Finance in St. Petersburg.

Start of a career path

After graduating from the Agricultural Institute with a degree in agricultural engineering, Anatoly Artamonov goes to his native “Khvastovichesky” state farm and becomes the head of repair shops there. Later he moved to the Shakhovskoy state farm in the Mosalsky district to the position of chief engineer. Here Anatoly Dmitrievich works for another 3 years until the next promotion. On July 8, 1978, Artamonov became the first 26-year-old director at the Gruzdovsky state farm. He became the first to come to this position at such a young age.

March 1995 became fundamental in the life of a young specialist. First, he was appointed head of the district department of agriculture, and then promoted to the post of secretary of the Mosalsky district committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. Ahead lay a move to Obninsk. In 1991, Anatoly Dmitrievich took up the post of executive director of OJSC Obninsk Construction and Industrial Joint Stock Company. At the same time, he is also the head of the Obninsk construction management, director of the Tantal production association and deputy general director of the Saratov association.

In 1991, Artamonov was sent to the north of the Kaluga region, to Obninsk. He was entrusted with responsible work in the construction department, entrusting him with the duties of deputy chief. Soon he headed a joint-stock company engaged in industrial construction.

The accumulated experience and deep knowledge in the political and social fields led Artamonov to great achievements, thanks to which the politician acquired unshakable authority in the eyes of the public. It is not surprising that by mid-March 2020, some news publications began to prophesy Artamonov as prime minister, or even president, of the Russian Federation.

The author of the news was the head of the department of state and municipal management of the Russian Economic University. G.V. Plekhanov Ruslan Abramov. The total percentage of votes in favor was 66.89%, which was significantly superior to the opponents - the “candidate against everyone” and Alexander Safronov - who received only 12.8% and 9.13%, respectively.
  3. After amendments were made to the legislation in 2005, by decree of President Vladimir Putin, A. Artamonov received full gubernatorial powers.
  4. Elections for a third term were held in 2020, and here he was in the lead - almost 73% of the votes were given to him.

Anatoly Dmitrievich is married to Zoya Iosifovna Artamonova. She works as the head of the social protection department in Kaluga. Zoya Iosifovna is an Honored Worker of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of Russia. The couple have two children and four grandchildren.
