At 22, Pindyura radically decides to change her life and moves from Kyiv to Moscow. He gets a job at a Moscow night strip club as a bartender. After working there for some time, Artem realizes that this profession is not for him, as the guy dreams of a big stage.
With the money she earns, Pindyura records several compositions and shoots videos “Don’t Give Up,” “Soul,” “Hip-Hop for Me” and others. For some time he has been performing as a solo hip-hop artist under the pseudonym Kid.
The artist’s life changed at the age of 24, when Pindyura learned about the “I Want to Meladze” project, which became a landmark moment in the musician’s creative biography. The rapper Timati liked the performance of the recitative, who invited the guy to his team.

Later, at the request of Konstantin Meladze, Pindyura moved to the team of Sergei Lazarev. As Artem noted in an interview, he is grateful to his mentors for sharing their tremendous experience. This helped him grow professionally and improve his skills.
Pindyura became the finalist of the show, he won along with three equally talented guys. Konstantin Meladze invited Artem to the MBAND group, which included Vladislav Ramm, Anatoly Tsoi and Nikita Kiosse. It’s interesting that Artem is shorter than all the other participants: Pindyura’s height is 179 cm, but the weight of the musicians is not advertised on the Internet.
The participants worked actively, recorded songs, and created new videos. Konstantin Meladze first of all wrote the hit “She Will Return” for the group, which for 14 days occupied the top line of the Golden Gramophone hit parade, and the video gained 10 million views in less than six months.
After a promising debut, the musicians began concert activity. By the way, rapper Artem Pindyura not only performs hip-hop compositions, but is also their author.

The performers also made their mark at the Fashion People Awards 2020, becoming winners in the “Discovery of the Year” category.

In the same year, the musical group released the album “No Filters,” which included the compositions “Look at me,” “Unbearable,” “What do you want,” “Do it right now,” “Our friendship is eternal” and others. Another work of the artists was the disc “Acoustics”.

In July 2017, Artem took part in a photo shoot for RHYME Magazine, the only printed hip-hop publication in Russia.
Pindyura became involved in a scandal in which residents of the Comedy Club also appeared. Ilya Sobolev in the image of Uncle Vitya allowed himself a bold statement about MBAND, calling it “a favorite group of worms.” The phrase offended Artem Pindyura, and he posted an angry post on Instagram addressed to the showman.

At the beginning of 2020, MBAND members began preparing for the release of their next album called “Rough Age”. In support of the disc, the single “Thread” was released. The disc itself appeared in the summer. It included the tracks “Limbo”, “Didn’t Win”, “Baby” and others. In the fall, the musicians took part in the creation of a video clip for Valery Meladze’s song “Mom, don’t worry!”
In November, Artem Pindyura stunned fans of the group with the news that after another solo concert he was leaving the group. The singer posted the message on his personal Instagram profile under a photograph in which a hematoma and bruise on his face were clearly visible. According to Pindyura, the reason for this was the conflicts that were increasingly arising between him and his colleagues in the group.
Despite Artyom’s unequivocal statement that it was time to “start all over again,” fans of the boy band were sure that this was another PR stunt aimed at increasing interest in the group’s work and the guys’ new projects. Soon the situation became clearer - on the band’s 4th anniversary, the musicians presented the track “Renewed”, and in 2019 they held a large tour of Russia.
Beginning of a musical career
As soon as the guy turns 22, he decides to move to Moscow and start his life in a completely different direction. So, he gets a job at a strip club and starts working as a bartender, but after a while he realizes that this is not what he expected and begins to invest money in his musical career. Thus, he records several tracks and shoots a video based on them. True, this did not affect Artem’s popularity in any way. Then, over the course of some time, Artema Pindyura learns about the project “I want to go to Meladze” and decides to try his luck and eventually becomes a participant in the show. Thus, Timati liked him so much that he decides to take him to his team.
This segment became the most significant in Artem’s life, because thanks to the project he was able to gain quite a lot of experience from his mentors Timati and Sergei Lazarev, as well as become a winner and join the group “MBand”, which over time became one of the popular musical groups in Russia.

At the beginning of 2020, Artem Pindyura and Anatoly Tsoi became participants in the entertainment show “Where is the logic?” They played against a duo that included Yana Koshkina and Ekaterina Morgunova.
In April, information about the breakup of the MBAND group appeared on the official website of the production center Meladze Music. It was reported that after five years of fruitful work, the team members decided to each go their own way. Later, the information was duplicated on the social networks of Tsoi, Pindyura and Kiosse. Artem, in turn, thanked his colleagues and called them his brothers.
A week before the announcement of the termination of joint activities, Pindyura presented the solo single “Knock-Knock-Knock”. The artist performed it under the pseudonym Artem Kid.

Artyom Pindyura is one of the three members of the popular group MBAND. Fans are used to seeing him as a “guy from the neighborhood” who listens to hip-hop and loves tattoos. We met in Artyom during a photo shoot for GOODIEZ and decided to find out how accurately his external image characterizes. We talked about the most romantic date, competition in a team, the test of fame and much more in an exclusive interview!

Artyom, you have been seriously interested in hip-hop for a very long time. Where did your passion for this music come from?
First of all, it was connected with my environment in childhood. At that time, I was doing breakdancing, and the hip-hop style was very active in Ukraine and Russia. I enjoyed this movement in its various manifestations. Then he began to dream of composing something and reading it out. And in fact, this dream came true. I did a good job: the texts I wrote were rhythmic and filled with meaning. I decided that since I was able to do this, why not continue doing it.
Before the birth of MBAND, you had a solo career. Wasn’t it hard after you got used to being an independent artist, becoming a member of a team, and even a producer’s project?
I can’t say that I have fully realized myself as a solo artist. Before MBAND, I had not been playing music for that long. Therefore, when I got into the group, on the contrary, I was curious to try myself on the professional stage, to learn something new - both from the boys, and from our producer, and from other artists. Joining the team was not difficult at all. I felt confident and comfortable.
What pros and cons do you see in being a member of a band?
There are many more advantages. But if we talk about the disadvantages... For example, it is quite difficult for you to express yourself to the fullest when you are a member of a group. A solo artist can perform whatever comes into his head. But here you still have to adapt to the format, to the voices of the boys. Some songs are written in such keys that, for example, it is difficult for me to sing them. But these are all trifles! The three of us give much more drive due to the fact that we all have different timbres, different musical tastes, and different styles of performance. The result is a completely unique product, and the energy from three such dissimilar, ambitious and active dudes like Tolya, Nikita and I is three times more powerful than from one person.

MBAND is a pop project. Was it easy for you to “switch” from hip-hop to pop?
Yes, it was easy, because I never tied myself to any particular genre and, in principle, I listened to different music all my life. Even though before MBAND I showed myself more as a hip-hop artist, I can’t say that I positioned myself as a “crazy” rapper. Well, you know, like “the voice of the streets dictates its rules to me” and all that... No. This did not happen. I always wanted to experiment, sound different, so I didn’t have to “switch” too much.
Is it true that your (at that time) girlfriend was against your musical career, and this was one of the reasons for your breakup?
Let's just say she didn't mind. It just seemed to her that music was not a serious matter, that you couldn’t make money from it. In general, I didn’t fully believe in my success. So, yes, this was one of the reasons for our separation. I am one of those people who is difficult to convince: if I have already got something into my head, and the person next to me does not share my vision, we are not on the same path. Why then have a relationship at all if they don’t believe in you?

What else is categorically unacceptable for you in a relationship? What girl can't you be with?
Don't know. Honestly. Hand on heart... I have had so many novels over the past four years. And there were so different girls - both in character, and in appearance, and in some of their habits and principles, that I can’t even say specifically who I would never date... Probably the one who doesn’t respect me .
And where do you find time for romance in your busy artistic schedule?
You can always find time. There would be a desire. I have enough romance in my life. More than!
Then can you remember the most romantic thing you ever did for a girl?
I once arranged a date for a girl on the roof of a multi-storey building in Moscow. There, at the top, we were met by a violinist, rose petals were scattered everywhere, champagne in glasses... True, it was incredibly cold. I warmed the girl with a blanket, my warmth and affection. It was cool! Especially considering that she was afraid of heights, did not know where we were going, but she trusted me and, with her eyes closed, holding my hand, agreed to this madness. She really liked it.

How much has popularity changed you? What new qualities have you acquired?
I became more knowledgeable about music, became more professional in this regard, became more open and liberated. But among the qualities that I don’t like... I have become more cynical, pragmatic, I no longer look at the world around me naively with childish spontaneity.
Glory is a test with copper pipes. Admit it, have you ever been overcome by attacks of star fever?
It’s better to ask the people around me. It seems to me that this did not happen. Star fever is a thankless and unproductive task.
Don't you sometimes want to kill your bandmates? You spend a colossal amount of time together!
Sometimes I really want to! It's downright crazy! Especially when we are working on new musical material, writing an album - at such moments there is a clash of creative interests. I understand that we are three completely different, strong characters. Nothing can be solved here by fighting and shouting. Therefore, we find compromises and constantly learn something from each other.

Do you like to tour? What do you like and dislike about touring life?
The lack of professionalism of some organizers is very disappointing. They received the money, but how the artist’s tour should work, how he should be met, seen off, how to comply with the technical rider - they have no idea. The viewer suffers from this, first of all. These unfortunate organizers want to put more money in their pockets, and not to make a cool holiday. As a result, both the convenience of the artist and the interests of the viewer are neglected. And one of the advantages, of course, is the opportunity to travel and see new cities. I can't sit in one place for a long time. I feel sad. I need constant movement.
new album is called "Rough Age". Why exactly this?
Nikitos came up with this, as did the track “Rough Age” itself. It happened in Yekaterinburg. We were driving in the car after the concert and he said, “Damn, I think I have an idea for a cool chorus for a song.” He sang, and we realized - yes, this is it. Nikita suggested calling the album that. And this really has its own logic. The group is now going through a period of “coarsening”, so to speak, growing up…. That is, we are no longer those good boys who sang touching ballads about romantic love. We now want to speak out on other topics. “Rough Age” is kind of a competition between us and each other and the producer. Very cool idea! As a result, Nikita wrote the chorus and the first verse, and then we all worked on the lyrics together, came to the studio and recorded the track.

How long did you work on the record?
A very long time. So long that we constantly delayed the release further and further, and people expected new tracks from us. Therefore, many songs from the album had to be released as singles. “Rough age” is a kind of line for us: we step over it and move forward.
The album features your duet with Sam Flow “Dangerous”. How did you like this experience?
Sam Flow is a very talented artist and author. He has a million of the coolest demos, which for some reason he still keeps in storage. I hope that he will definitely release these songs. In addition, Sam is an open and sincere person. It was a pleasure to work with him. I finally sounded the way I always wanted! For the first time in my life, the tonality was adjusted to suit me. Do you think about a solo career from time to time?
Each of us, of course, thinks about a solo career. MBAND is still a “boy” group, let’s say so. And at 40, we definitely won’t be able to sing “She’ll Come Back”... Of course, this is a hit for many years, but you need to be aware that from the lips of grown men the words of this song will sound, at least, strange. But until we bring MBAND to the maximum point that we set for ourselves, we will not break up!
