Origin and childhood

Doni is the club and stage name of the brutal guy from Uzbekistan Dostonbek Islamov, who performs in the style of rap and R'n'B. Doni gained wide popularity after the release of a video with singer Natalie, although he was already well known to fans of club parties.

Dostonbek was born in Tashkent on December 18, 1985. Later the family moved to Fergana. As a child, Doni was more interested in sports than music, and was involved in the boxing section. No visits to a music school or participation in amateur competitions - Dostonbek received a male education, having studied for several years at something like the Suvorov Military Sports School.

Young Dostonbek became interested in rap in his teens after hearing the compositions of Eminem and Dr. Dre. His friend distributed the tapes and supplied them to Doni. The young man was greatly impressed by the film “Get Rich or Die” about the rap star, 50 Cent.

Rhythmic recitatives, lifestyle, rapper parties inspired Doni, he began to get acquainted with the work of other performers and try himself as a DJ. Doni took his first steps in the field of club MC back in Uzbekistan, spying on party hosts and forming his own style. To achieve real success, Dostonbek moves to Moscow.

Childhood and adolescence

The rapper's childhood and adolescence

Islamov spent his childhood and youth in the city of Fergana. The future star was raised in a simple family. The boy grew up energetic and loved to communicate with others. From an early age he began to show interest in sports (he went to boxing classes). Dostonbek spent his youth at the Suvorov Military School.

In the early 2000s, the future artist became seriously interested in such areas of music as rap and hip-hop. This was due to his friend, who at that time was selling audio cassettes. He gave Doni songs by Eminem and Dr. Dre to listen to, which he really liked. Then the young man had a desire to read recitatives. After some time, Doni became acquainted with the work of other, no less interesting performers, among whom was the rap star 50 Cent.

To get as close as possible to the music industry, Dostonbek began to often visit local discos, work there and watch other DJs at work. Thanks to this, Doni quickly mastered DJ skills.

Later, in 2012, the guy decided to move to Moscow , hoping to get on the big stage. Since Islamov did not have registration, he had to work at a construction site at Sheremetyevo Airport. There he took part in the construction of terminals, and also tried himself as a watchman, security guard and cleaner. Then the crisis happened. All foreigners were laid off, as a result of which Doni was left without work for six months.

The guy spent all his free time in the center of the capital, and gradually began to get acquainted with the local crowd. Then he started working in different clubs.

The beginning of a creative journey

The Russian capital did not welcome Dostonbek with open arms. He had to earn a living by doing odd jobs, working as a cleaner, a watchman, and installing terminals at Sheremetyevo Airport. These activities provided a means of livelihood, but real life began in the evening.
