Smolov explained why he no longer loves Lopyreva
In recent years, Fedor Smolov has been in the spotlight of the press not only because of his sports career, which has seen both rapid ups and painful downs, but also because of his high-profile affair with TV presenter and model Victoria Lopyreva. The lovers started dating in 2012 and after 5 months they decided to get married, but the wedding was postponed three times. As a result, in December 2013, the couple organized a luxurious celebration in the Maldives, although they never made it to the registry office.
Now the relationship between Smolov and Lopyreva is again one of the most discussed topics, because the girl recently left the athlete. The reason for the breakup, according to Victoria, was the immaturity of her beloved, who was only interested in “social networks and beautiful cars,” which the blonde wrote about on her Instagram page.
The wording surprised Fedor very much. “Well, what can I do? Not my words. I thought that for the three years that I loved a person, I deserve at least to avoid such remarks, but I could just report that we broke up and that’s it, without details. It hurt me a lot after those words,” the footballer said in an interview with the R-Sport portal.
However, Smolov did not answer this to his former lover, saying that he was not going to wash his dirty laundry in public. The athlete noted that he was sure that such public statements could have been avoided and parted ways differently. But the young man no longer had any love for his former common-law wife, since he took the separation very hard (however, Lopyreva also went to the hospital with a nervous breakdown).
Now Fedor hopes to start a new life and looks to a bright future, because he has signed a contract with the Krasnodar football club and is leaving Moscow: “I’m from Saratov, I never considered myself a Muscovite and I am not one. In Yekaterinburg, for example, I didn’t experience any discomfort after Moscow. Krasnodar is a wonderful city with a good climate.”
By the way, Smolov spent almost the entire last year in the provinces, playing for the Ural team. In September 2014, he was faced with a difficult choice: either stay at Dynamo and sit on the bench, or leave for another team, but with a three-fold reduction in salary. The athlete chose the second option, and he was not worried about finances: “This is not Moscow, there is nowhere to spend money, and then I changed my lifestyle, there were no problems with that.”
However, apparently, his companion did not like the new lifestyle - in an interview, Smolov joked several times that his wife left him precisely because he earned little.

The young striker of the Krasnodar football club, however, did not share the views of his passion and did not strive to start a family. The girl could not stand the irresponsibility of her chosen one, wished him new career achievements and left.

For a long time, they were gossiping on the sidelines about what kind of relationship the lovers remained in after breaking up. The couple met for the first time six months later. Ahead of the match with Croatia, the Russian national team player made a promise to his former lover, who is serving as the ambassador of Rostov-on-Don during the FIFA World Cup scheduled for 2020.
Mindful of the recent breakup, those gathered were more interested in sports questions, whether there was tension in the relationship between Victoria and Fedor. Such a long-awaited meeting by fans took place in a hotel in Rostov, where the Russian national team is currently staying, preparing for today's match with Croatia, and where children from an orphanage came especially for this occasion, wanting to communicate with famous athletes.
Let us remind you that for a long time neither the friends nor the fans of the couple suspected that their relationship had cracked. From the outside, the union of Victoria and Fedor seemed ideal. At least, the lovers did everything to create just such an impression. The model and the football player met three years ago at Yuri Zhirkov’s birthday. Six months later, Smolov already proposed to the girl, and in December 2013, the lovers got married in the Maldives.
However, the heart of the 25-year-old football player was not empty for long. Just six months after the high-profile breakup with the TV personality, Smolov started a new relationship. Her colleague Pavel Mamaev announced changes in Fedor’s personal life, who published a joint photo of the football player with his new chosen one. “Meeting a new couple,” Mamaev captioned the photo. True, a few minutes later the athlete deleted the publication, and the model herself limited access to outsiders on her Instagram and Twitter.

Only the couple's close friends and relatives were invited to the wedding. Initially, the celebration was planned for September 27, but, citing family circumstances, the couple never showed up at the Griboedovsky registry office at the appointed time.
The bride explained the sudden cancellation of the celebration by fatigue and excessive attention, which they did not need at all. That is why the lovers organized a wedding on the other side of the world.
Evil tongues suspected that the wedding was postponed for another reason: supposedly there was discord in the relationship between Lopyreva and Smolov. Then the TV presenter had to comment on what happened: Victoria denied rumors about a breakup with her lover and, as it turned out, did not deceive her fans. For the staged ceremony, Victoria abandoned the traditional outfit and chose a light sundress of a calm cut, while the groom, following her example, put on a white shirt, decorating it with a flower.
“We wanted a quiet family celebration,” Vika shared with Heat.ru. “That’s why we flew away with our family to a place where no one would find us!”
Lopyreva made probably every girl’s dream come true: she and Smolov said “yes” to each other at sunset to the sound of the waves.
The story of the relationship between the 23-year-old athlete and the 30-year-old winner of the Miss Russia 2003 title could form the basis of a plot for a soap opera. The young people met last year in one of the restaurants in the capital. Victoria was invited to his birthday by football player Yuri Zhirkov, and Fedor Smolov was invited by Arseny Logashov, who was also the birthday boy. At some point, the companies merged, and the Dynamo football striker wanted to get to know the ex-beauty queen better, although at first Smolov considered the spectacular blonde arrogant and touchy, and Lopyreva herself was sure: football players are not the smartest men on the planet. But the slight hostility soon grew into a strong feeling. And although that evening Victoria strictly forbade anyone to tell Fedor her phone number, the persistent Smolov still found the eleven treasured numbers, thereby linking their destinies together. “Fedya found out my phone number through friends and invited me on a date the next day. I would never have thought that I would date a football player, but fate decreed it,” the beauty said in an interview.
“I am very selective,” Victoria Lopyreva has repeatedly stated in response to journalists’ questions about the wedding. - I don’t throw away my feelings. But if I love someone, I won’t hide it.”
A worthy candidate was eventually found. They started talking about her affair with one of the most promising Russian football players, Fedor Smolov (player of the Moscow football club Dynamo, plays for the Russian national team) after the couple published several photos together on their blogs, and then went on vacation together in Miami. The lovers admit that at first they didn’t want to tell anyone about their feelings, but it didn’t work out. After all, when you are truly in love, it is difficult to hide it.
After a six-month period of romantic courtship, Smolov proposed to Victoria.
Upon returning from the hospitable islands, the newlyweds plan to officially register their relationship in one of the capital's registry offices and arrange a magnificent banquet for family and friends.
