It is not easy to win over critics and audiences as the son of a celebrated playwright. However, Fyodor Bondarchuk proved that he is a worthy successor to his father’s work. In recent years, the artist’s personal life has become no less eventful than his creative one.

The first step towards growing up for him was the army. “I lived at the institute and didn’t go home,” Bondarchuk emphasized. “I came from the army and immediately moved with my things. What was important to me was that I lived and earned money on my own, and built my own life. It was a challenge. Traveled all over Moscow, visiting friends.”
Fyodor Bondarchuk received his first role in his father’s drama “Boris Godunov.” Fyodor’s acting career started several years before entering university: at 15, he played the role of a prince in his father’s drama “Boris Godunov.” Sergei Bondarchuk did not make any concessions to the heir, but, on the contrary, was strict and demanding with him. Upon returning from the army, the son of the director of “War and Peace” began acting in the film “Stalingrad,” torn between work and study.
