Childhood and youth of Irina Virganskaya
The girl went to a regular Stavropol school. I always loved reading books and showed great success in my studies. She graduated from school with excellent marks and received a gold medal. Irina wanted to study in Moscow, but caring parents did not let their only daughter go far from them. The girl chose the State Medical Institute in Stavropol. The photo of Irina Virganskaya in her youth and adulthood shows how much she looks like her mother.
After the father of the family was transferred to Moscow to a leadership position, his wife and daughter went with him. Irina at that time was already married to Anatoly Virgansky. The girl continued her medical education in the capital, eventually receiving the specialty of a general practitioner.
Career as a doctor and scientist
In 1981, Irina graduated from medical school. She decided to continue her path in science, so she went to graduate school, graduating in 1985. Irina Virganskaya defended her dissertation and received the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences. The woman studied the social aspects of male mortality and wrote a work on the relationship between alcohol and sudden death. She never became a practicing doctor, as she was always busy with science. She conducted research activities at a scientific cardiology center.
What else is known about Gorbachev’s daughter?
In 1974, Mikhail Sergeevich’s daughter graduated from school with honors and received a gold medal. The girl always dreamed of a decent education. She wanted to graduate from a prestigious university in the capital. However, the parents had a different opinion. Mikhail Gorbachev wanted his daughter to always be nearby, under his supervision. He believed that Moscow would “spoil” it. Raisa Maksimovna agreed with her husband.

After graduating from school, Irina Virganskaya entered the medical institute in Stavropol. However, Gorbachev was soon offered a leadership position in Moscow.
Without hesitation, he agreed. The family had to move to the capital for permanent residence. Gorbachev’s daughter did not refuse to receive a medical education. She continued her studies in Moscow. After graduating from university in 1981, the girl received the specialty of “therapist”.

Virganskaya was not going to stop there. The girl decided to “plunge headlong” into science. In 1985 she completed her graduate studies. Then the daughter of the Secretary General defended her dissertation and received a Ph.D. in medical sciences. In one of her interviews, Irina said: “I have always been far from politics. However, she fully shared the political views of her father. I still don’t understand how he managed to become president of the Soviet Union.”
Husbands
Irina Virganskaya lived with her first husband Anatoly for 16 years. He moved with the Gorbachevs from Stavropol. He and his wife Irina transferred to the last year of medical school in Moscow. Two daughters were born into the Virgansky family - Ksenia and Anastasia. Anatoly began his professional career at the First City Hospital as a surgeon. Over time, he defended his candidate and doctoral dissertations and became a professor. The couple divorced due to Anatoly's constant employment.
In 2006, the woman got married for the second time. She avoids much publicity about her personal relationships. It is known that the husband’s name is Andrey Trukhachev, and he has his own business in the field of transport transportation.
Personal life: husband and children
While still at the institute in Stavropol, the girl met Anatoly Virgansky. Subsequently, the young man became her husband. Their family life lasted for 16 years. Mikhail Sergeevich and Raisa Maksimovna liked their daughter’s choice. Irina’s parents saw serious intentions, core and character in her lover.

Anatoly and the Gorbachev family moved from Stavropol to Moscow. In 1980, the couple had a daughter. The girl was named Ksenia. A few years later, Anastasia was born.
After the birth of his daughter, Anatoly got a job as a surgeon at a city hospital. At that time, harmony and mutual understanding reigned in the Virgansky family. Irina’s husband defended his PhD and became a professor.

However, this marriage was doomed to fail.
Both spouses had absolutely no time for their personal lives. Anatoly worked all day, and only came home to spend the night. Virganskaya soon became tired of this situation, and she decided to divorce her husband. Irina commented on this situation as follows: “I didn’t like my husband’s constant employment. We made a joint decision to file for divorce.”
A rumor appeared among journalists that the couple broke up due to Anatoly’s betrayal. However, this information has not been confirmed.

In 2006, Gorbachev’s daughter married for the second time. There is practically no information about Irina’s new life partner. It is known that his name is Andrey Trukhachev. Also, according to some reports, he is a businessman. The man has his own business in the field of transport transportation.
Children
Ksenia Virganskaya was born in 1980. From a young age she loved to do ballet, so she graduated from a choreographic school. But due to health problems, I had to leave my favorite activity. The girl studied at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, which she graduated in 2003. In the same year, when she was 23 years old, Ksyusha tied the knot with businessman Kirill Solod. But the family did not last long. Ksenia and Kirill divorced.
In 2006, the girl married again. Her chosen one was Dmitry Pyrchenkov. This young man works in show business circles. The family lives happily and raises their daughter Sasha. Ksenia herself works a lot in the field of PR, and is also a correspondent for “Gracia” magazine. During her student years, Ksyusha had experience working as a model on famous catwalks in Paris, but now this field of activity does not attract her.
Irina Virganskaya’s youngest daughter, Anastasia, was born in 1987. Like her sister, she graduated from MGIMO with a degree in journalism. She married PR professional Dmitry Zangiev in 2010. The girl herself initially worked for the magazine “Grace”, after which she changed jobs and became the chief editor of one of the Internet sites about fashion. Nastya is keenly interested in fashion, showing new collections. The children of Irina Virganskaya are quite public and famous, often appearing at social events.
Instagram star Irina Gorbacheva got married in a black dress

15-second videos in which the actress of the Pyotr Fomenko Workshop theater fools around have become incredibly popular on the Internet. The girl writes sketches, the plots of which she comes up with literally on the fly - on a subway platform, on an escalator, on the street, at home near the refrigerator. The Instagram star’s humorous videos suddenly became perhaps the most viewed among the Russian audience. “Do you hear, winter? I won't wear a hat. Wind, I will defeat you,” these words spread across the popular social network.
The artist became popular overnight, her images appeared on various online portals, and her style of speaking with an Estonian accent was adopted by admirers of her talent.
Few people know that Irina Gorbacheva is married to the star of the series “The Island,” which will soon start on television. Grigory Kalinin and the young actress are connected by common views, interests and a special approach to life. In March last year, the lovers got married at the Kutuzovsky registry office in the capital, where they invited the closest people from their circle. It must be said that it is difficult to call this ceremony traditional. The young people tied the knot, being in very high spirits. In the couple's wedding photos, you can see both of them goofing around in the reception hall, perhaps in an attempt to cope with their anxiety.

The bride's outfit is worthy of separate discussion. The charismatic Gorbacheva chose a floor-length black dress with a deep neckline both in the front and back for the main day of her life. Needless to say, the bride’s appearance was very different from other brides present at the registry office! Nevertheless, the wedding of the newlyweds turned out to be truly fun and unforgettable.

After the ceremony, Irina and Grigory invited their relatives to one of the capital’s establishments, where they celebrated this solemn event with a large company. Numerous photos taken that day once again demonstrate the lovers’ unconventional approach to the celebration.

It must be said that the couple gained unprecedented popularity almost overnight. Irina succeeded in this thanks to her unforgettable videos on Instagram, and Grigory played one of the main roles in the series “Island” on TNT, which viewers will see starting on February 8. In a word, the union of two gifted people has attracted the attention of the public and, it seems, their names will be heard by the public for a long time.

The death of the mother and the life of the family after this tragedy
Raisa Gorbacheva died at the age of 67 in September 1999. Before her death, she was seriously ill and was treated in Germany. After the tragic events, Irina and her daughters moved to her father outside the city; at that time she was already divorced. For two years, the daughter and father lived together. But as the children grew older, in order to give them more freedom, the woman decided to buy a house in Zhukovka, which is five minutes from her father.
Today, Mikhail Gorbachev has reached a venerable age, he has exceeded 80 years. He lives in the USA, is active, and lectures at American and Russian universities.
Bozena Rynska about the celebration of the 80th birthday of Mikhail Gorbachev
The anniversary of Mikhail Gorbachev was celebrated in the European banquet hall. The toast of Gorbachev’s daughter Irina Virganskaya took up five pages. “Despite the fact that dad has been thrown mud from all sides for 25 years,” said Mrs. Virganskaya, “he continues to change the world with the actions that he does every day, and the dirt does not stick to him. And no matter how hard the spiteful critics try, this does not stop the father. He does good deeds every day. A man who is reviled every day, who could have given up long ago, continues to live for the sake of people. We are proud of you, dad."
After this toast, editor-in-chief Evgenia Albats jumped up and exclaimed: “This is a real political speech, the daughter is defending her father!” And this was the very case when Madame Albats’s fieryness adequately and accurately reflected the moment. Virganskaya’s toast was indeed great and powerful, but the activity of Gorbachev’s daughter was limited to this toast. She didn’t make any appearances or shout out all evening.
The fact is that the public has some questions for Mrs. Virganskaya: she is very active, proactive, tenacious and punchy, and they don’t like people like that either in the country or in social life. But here you need to understand that Mikhail Sergeevich is really 80 years old, and he really cannot organize his own events. And Irina and Ksenia Virgansky actually do a lot for Raisa Maksimovna’s foundation. The late wife of Mikhail Gorbachev dreamed of a clinic during her lifetime. And the Virgan girls honor this and, in memory of their mother and grandmother, continue her work.
Following Gorbachev's daughter, Gorbachev's granddaughter spoke. She noticed that few people have a family member who influenced the course of world history. Konstantin Ernst and Leonid Parfenov said their toast in a duet: “Thank you for changing television.” The second most important speech was the toast of Mikhail Zhvanetsky. It ended like this: “Sincerely yours - now, not later - Mikhail Zhvanetsky.” Actually, Bykov’s poems were about the same thing, which he read to Mikhail Sergeevich from the stage.
The dress code required evening wear. However, in the evening party there were only the daughter, two granddaughters of the hero of the day and, at most, two more women. The rest came either in cocktail suits or, like Svetlana Sorokina, in trouser suits. In a word, Irina Virganskaya was not eclipsed by anyone, not even her daughters. And one could even notice that the guests completely ignored the dress code, if not for one amazing circumstance: Alexey Venediktov was wearing a jacket!
The imperious Mrs. Virganskaya completely relieved my father of all organizational problems, including drawing up the list of invitees. It seemed that sometimes the “grandfather” himself did not know who these people were. And “some people,” on the contrary, had no idea what kind of grandfathers were around the hero of the day. It seemed to the younger generation that almost the entire old Politburo was present at the evening, although in fact these were bosom friends of Mikhail Sergeevich himself, who had almost nothing to do with politics.
No one from the current government was at Gorbachev’s anniversary. The highest-ranking official was Konstantin Ernst. Evgeny Primakov and Genrikh Borovik were invited to the table of the hero of the day. Irina Virganskaya was sitting separately from her father; her neighbor at the table was Yuri Shevchuk, who, by the way, disappeared quite quickly. Among the guests were Echo editor-in-chief Alexey Venediktov with his entire team and the entire Novaya Gazeta newspaper. The pool of writers seemed a little strange: Sorokin, Arkanov and Khakamada.
Writer Maria Vasilyevna Sinyavskaya came out to talk with walkers decorated with ribbons: “All the way while I was driving to you, I decorated them so that you didn’t have to look at me with compassion. The worst thing in life is to die of boredom. I wish you to always be interested and have fun. Laugh more and have fun!” Ruslan Aushev, who fought in Afghanistan, recalled how Gorbachev withdrew troops from there.
The evening was hosted by former intelligence officer Yuri Kobaladze. The musical program developed spontaneously and turned out to be very diverse. Mikhail Gorbachev himself, together with Andrei Makarevich, sang a song dedicated to Raisa Maksimovna, and then “Dark Night”. Stas Namin and his group performed “We wish you happiness.” Natella Boltyanskaya sang. In addition to original singing, wonderful Soviet retro music was performed. Pianist Yuri Rozum played Chopin and Prokofiev’s favorite piece “Obsession.” By the way, it was this work by Prokofiev that Mikhail Sergeevich once called the anthem of perestroika. Then a professional singer came out and intoned: “Many years to Mikhail.” And finally, Yuri Kobaladze suggested: “Let’s drink to Mikhail Sergeevich’s parents.”
By the end of the evening, they brought out a three-tier cake with the number 80, a photo of which immediately appeared on Alexey Venediktov’s Twitter.
Around ten the guests began to leave. Mikhail Gorbachev was cheerful by the end of the evening. A huge number of women did not stop confessing their love to him. It was clear that he was pleased with the anniversary, and everything that happened gave him a huge charge of positive energy.
Management of the Gorbachev Foundation
Mikhail Gorbachev founded a foundation in 1991, the purpose of which is to study the period of perestroika from the social, political and economic aspects. His daughter was appointed vice president of the foundation. She has never been associated with such activities. And in order to delve into the field of economics and business, I went to study at the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation at the age of 37. The photo of Irina Virganskaya shows her purposeful nature.
The organization examines perestroika from all sides, its impact on the course of history, and analyzes contemporary issues of politics and economics. The fund exists from the personal funds of M. Gorbachev, donations from citizens and organizations. The fund's office is located in Moscow on Leningradsky Prospekt.
In addition, the organization is constantly involved in charity work:
- humanitarian aid for “hot” spots;
- financial support for children with serious illnesses;
- humanitarian assistance during the fighting in Chechnya.
Irina Virganskaya is the only daughter of Mikhail and Raisa Gorbachev. She received a medical education and studied science. She heads the Gorbachev Foundation, for which she received an education in business. She has two daughters and is married for the second time.

Yegor Gaidar: cause of death Mikhail Gorbachev: personal life (wife, children)
The first and last president of the USSR admitted in all interviews that all his life he loved only one woman - his wife Raisa Maksimovna. They met as students and have never been apart since then. The children of Mikhail Gorbachev are their only daughter Irina. In his book “Mikhail Gorbachev. Everything has its time. My Life,” the former president revealed many details about his personal life, including how many children he and Raisa Maksimovna could have had and why she did not terminate her first pregnancy. This happened when their young family was just beginning to exist, and the news that Mikhail Gorbachev’s wife was expecting a child came as a surprise to them, but despite the fact that they had long dreamed of children, Raisa had to have an abortion. The doctors insisted on this, because the year before she had suffered from severe polymyalgia rheumatica and the birth could have ended tragically for Raisa Maksimovna.

The decision to have an abortion was not easy for them, but Mikhail Sergeevich tried to reassure his young wife, saying that they could still give birth to children, but her health and even life could be lost forever. Only moving to Gorbachev’s homeland in Stavropol helped Raisa restore her health, and two years after they settled in a new place, she gave birth to a daughter, Irina. All of her childhood and youth were spent in the Stavropol Territory, where she graduated from high school with a gold medal, and then entered medical institute.
When Gorbachev was transferred to Moscow, Irina transferred to the Second Medical Institute. N.I. Pirogova, who graduated in 1981 and became a general practitioner. She was never a practicing doctor - at first she was engaged in scientific work, and later she completely retrained, graduating from an international business school at the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation and becoming an employee of the International Public Foundation for Socio-Economic and Political Science Research (Gorbachev Foundation).
In the photo - Gorbachev's granddaughters - Ksenia and Anastasia
The personal life of Mikhail Sergeevich’s daughter did not work out right away. She separated from her husband, Anatoly Virgansky, and raised her two daughters, Ksenia and Anastasia, alone. The eldest daughter of Irina Virganskaya in 2003 married Kirill Solod, the son of a famous businessman, but this marriage turned out to be short-lived, and in 2009 she started a family again - with the former concert director of Abraham Russo, Dmitry Pyrchenkov, and gave birth to a daughter, Alexandra, the great-granddaughter of Mikhail Sergeevich Gorbachev.
The youngest granddaughter of the former president of the USSR, Anastasia, graduated from MGIMO and works as editor-in-chief on the Internet site Trendspace.ru. She is married to a graduate of the Eastern University under the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian Academy of Civil Service under the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Zangiev. Irina Mikhailovna herself, who after the divorce promised herself never to marry again, married a second time - to Andrei Trukhachev, and since then has been happily married to him.
