Group “Vintage” – composition, photos, news, songs, videos 2020

Childhood and youth

Little Anechka was born in Moscow. A joyful event occurred on August 21, 1977. Since childhood, the girl actively demonstrated her vocal abilities, so her parents sent her to school with in-depth study of musical and choreographic skills. At the same time, the baby danced in the Ostankino ballet. The future soloist of the Vintage group received her higher education at the Maimonides State Classical Academy: she became a specialist in pop-jazz singing.

Young Anya was head over heels in love with the popular Russian singer Vladimir Presnyakov Jr. Being his avid fan, she never missed a single concert of the performer. At one of these shows, Pletneva’s brother got her the autograph of her idol: the girl hid a piece of paper under her pillow and slept with it for many years until it crumbled into small pieces. As she fell asleep, Anya imagined how she would grow up and sing a duet with Presnyakov. The dream came true many years later: during a joint tour, the performers sang “Zurbagan” together.

Vintage Group: “The most important thing is to never give up!”

Hello reader. Especially for you, the portal’s correspondent met with the updated lineup of the popular group “Vintage” and learned from the girls about how their lives have changed since the beginning of their stellar careers and whether the cherished dream of the newly minted artists has come true.

-Hello. We are a portal about a dream, and today we would like to know in more detail about how each of you got into the group, how you work under the leadership of Anna Pletneva, whether your dream came true, but first things first. Let's start with how you got into the group and whether your dream came true, tell your story.

Anya Kornilieva:

-I learned about the casting for the group from my friend. He sent me a link and told me to submit the application. At first I was a little doubtful, but I still filled out the form and sent it. The next day they wrote to me immediately. I have never studied vocals or studied at a music school, so it turns out that I am self-taught and a genius. I passed the casting, and here I am. As for dreams, probably the main dream has come true, but there are still a lot of them, and there is something to strive for. Previously, I just wrote songs, and I had my own small capture of the Internet audience, but when I got into the group, at first it was difficult for me to understand what my place was in it. Only now, more than six months after the creation of the group, is the full meaning of what is happening beginning to sink in. My goals are very global, but they are all within the framework of our country. By the way, I had moments when my girlfriend and I put up posters all over the city where I lived, because I had a concert in a bar. This is Vladivostok. We got out as best we could (laughs).

Zhenya Polikarpova:

-Let me start with the fact that as a child, my parents forced me to go to music school; I hated piano lessons. I sang in a children's choir. Only at the age of 13 did I realize that I wanted to study pop vocals, not classical ones, which I studied at school. I joined a children's group, with whom we sang and toured for many years, went to international festivals and won prizes. At the age of 16 I participated in the New Wave. It all started from that moment. Then I realized that I would do music and nothing else. I began to take my first confident steps. The goal was to get on the big stage and become a real artist. For many years I traveled to various competitions, such as “The Voice”, “Main Stage”, auditioned for various projects, wrote music. Then she moved to St. Petersburg and studied at the University of Arts in the pop-jazz vocal department. At that moment, my friends and I created our own group called “Tonight”. It was 2010, at that time we entered my first serious venues: the Ice Palace and the Scarlet Sails festival. At some point, I realized that I needed to move to Moscow because I needed to develop further. I had to go through a lot. I worked as a sales consultant in a store, worked in a car dealership, worked in karaoke and restaurants. Then I found out about the casting for the Vintage group, applied and passed it. For the first time in my life, I didn’t tell anyone that I was going to the casting, and the card just so happened that I passed it. I don't regret it one bit. My application, which I sent to the casting, was a cry from the heart, because I was tired of working in vain and prayed to God that everything would work out. As for my dream, my dream is to live on stage, to be an artist, and it doesn’t matter whether it’s a solo project or a group. The main thing is that I am developing. We want people to listen to us, buy our albums, we want to be nominated for various awards, so we work hard. There are many plans and we are implementing them.

Nessy Kreskina:

-How the casting went is no secret to anyone, because many people watched it online on VK-Live. At the time I found out about the casting, I was supposed to fly to China, but I still decided to apply. Soon they called me and said that I had passed the casting and I needed to appear for it. Purely morally, the casting itself was not difficult for me. Anya Pletneva gave us impromptu tasks, which the girls and I did well. The girls and I immediately grouped four of us at the casting, and we were surprised when all four of us passed it, and Anya herself was surprised by this. We just didn’t know, when we were all divided into groups, how many girls would be taken into the main lineup from each group, but it turned out that they all took us. In the end, we were crowned, Anya personally put on the crowns. I didn’t fully understand what was happening. Over time, the realization, of course, has already come. What about the dream: I searched for myself for a long time, went to castings, looked for the music that I would like to sing. Of course, my dream came true. I am very glad that “Vintage” happened in my life. I have big plans, but I don’t want to talk about them yet, so as not to jinx it.

Nastya Kazaku:

-I grew up in a musical family. Dad often loved to sing songs with me on the guitar. One day my grandmother brought into the house a cassette of the group “Surprise”, which is still considered the best show group in Perm, and I said that I wanted to go there, I wanted to sing with them. I learned the entire tape by heart, and my dad began preparing me for the casting. I prepared the song “I live with my grandmother,” but I told my dad that I wanted to sing Zemfira, who was my main idol then. My father tried to dissuade me in every possible way. As a result, at the casting I was asked to sing, and I sang “Don’t Let Me Go” to Zemfira. The parents were shocked (laughs). After my performance, I was taken into the group, with which I then toured the world and the cities of Russia for eleven whole years. We won several awards, but there are two sides to the coin, because I started missing a lot of school. I had to catch up on the material, but many teachers didn’t like me and locked me in the laboratory. Later, I entered the Perm College to study pop-jazz vocals, and they took me without a musical education and six months later they transferred me to the budget. Then I started working in karaoke in Perm. After graduating from college, I went to live in St. Petersburg because I always dreamed about it. Like Zhenya, I tried for a long time to find a job, calling all the karaoke clubs, restaurants, cafes. I was lucky, I got into one of the best institutions in the city and passed the casting, leaving behind all the girls who had gorgeous voices and model looks. As a result, I met a lot of people, made friends, and one of these friends sent me an ad about a casting for the Vintage group. It so happened that over the past 2 years I did not have any good professional recordings, and I sent my videos from the state. exam 2014. When I was on vacation in Sochi, they wrote to me asking me to come to the casting. This time I decided not to rejoice in advance and not tell anyone about it. I remember that moment when Anya Pletneva puts a crown on my head, and in my head I thought: “What should I do now? We need to move to Moscow. How to arrange everything? Everything started to come together on its own. At first it was hard, because I was not a fan of Moscow, but now I’m starting to get used to it, probably because it’s getting warmer. Now I have solved all my everyday problems, found an apartment, thank God that I have girls nearby, so I have someone to have fun with, and they will always help in a difficult situation. As for dreams, I always dreamed of performing on stage, giving people light from the stage. This is not all, because there is something to strive for and something to dream about. What's happening now is cool.

-Is it difficult to work in a female team? Are there disagreements and quarrels?

-Working in a group is very interesting, each with its own character. We don’t know what the relationships are like in other groups, but everything is smooth with us. There are some disputes and misunderstandings, but this is normal. The most important thing is that we have brains (laugh). That's why we are girls, that we can sometimes scream or freak out. Problems are always solved. At first it was a little scary because we didn't know each other. The adaptation period was successful, we quickly got used to each other, but sometimes it was scary, you never know who would trip us up, but everything worked out.

-As far as I know, fans of the group “Vintage” are divided, one might say, into two camps: those who accepted and are happy with the new composition of the group, and those who say that “Vintage” is no longer the same. How do you deal with negativity?

-At first, people were sensitive to these changes, but now we have our own fans. We treat criticism absolutely adequately and accept it. We always pay attention to valid opinions, listen and correct them somewhere. Sometimes there are absolutely inappropriate comments that we try not to react to.

-Let's talk a little about Anna Pletneva. Is she involved with your group now?

-It's just cool to work with her. She promised to teach us all the charms and secrets of show business. She sometimes makes comments to us that we work on: we grow, we change, we study a lot. Anya is our producer, and it’s quite logical that she deals with us from top to bottom, from costumes to song selection. She is in complete control of the situation, educates us and helps us in everything. You understand that we are people who have never given interviews, we have not had video clips or photo sessions, everything is new for us. The most important advice can only be heard from her.

-You recently released a new single, “Who Wants to Be a Queen,” which became quite successful. When can we expect new hits and who will be their author?

-Now we are working on new material, the work is in full swing. Our second single will be released very soon; in addition, we are working on album tracks, many of which are written by Anya Kornilieva. She was given the opportunity to write songs for the group, and we can honestly say that she has already prepared quite a few songs, and a lot of work is going on on them. Regarding the second video and single, we can say that it will be released in the very near future.

-Are you touring now? Do you perform songs that Anya Pletneva once sang while in the group?

-We have several modified rewritten songs by Anya, which have become more danceable and club-oriented. We often tour cities performing them. Many have already noticed that the songs performed by Anya have acquired a second wind. Some of the tracks are in new arrangements, and, as far as we know, the tracks will not appear in the public domain on the Internet; we only perform them at concerts.

-I understand that you have just begun your star journey, but what would each of you like to get from this project?

-We would like to receive a large creative school, which we are now receiving. This is colossal work. We go through different situations that make us strong. Every acquaintance does not happen just like that. We are developing as individuals, and this is very cool. Then everything will be even cooler, because we would like the legendary group “Vintage” to live for many years with an updated lineup, so we will try very hard. Each of us will eventually gain a lot of experience and take the best for ourselves over the years: experience and skills. We want to adequately continue the history of the group and leave a big bright imprint on history.

-Finally, I would like to hear from you some parting words for our readers.

-The most important thing is to never give up. We must always remember that thoughts are material. You need to constantly think about your dream and do it. No matter what anyone says, no matter who you are, you still have to move forward, even if you’re not very good at it. Everything will end the moment you stop. You can't stop! No one will do this for you. The biggest secret is that success comes after the greatest despair. It's like the calm before the storm. It is important not to tell everyone about your deepest secrets, because there are a lot of evil and envious ears around.

-Thank you very much for the interview. We all sincerely believe in your success, because you have all the data for this. Big victories, good luck and countless new and loyal fans.

"Lyceum"

The creative biography of the lead singer of the Vintage group begins with this project. She came to the Lyceum at a young age to fill the vacant seat of the fired Lena Perova. To get into the famous and popular group of the late 90s, she went through a brutal and strict competitive selection. 80 girls applied for the coveted place, each of whom had a good voice and pleasant appearance. But Anna turned out to be the best.

The girl gave 8 years of her life to the Lyceum. Her career here lasted from 1997 to 2005. During this time, she showed herself to be a true fan of her business: she always went on stage, even if she was feeling bad and the cats were scratching at her soul. The girl surprised everyone during her pregnancy with her perseverance and hard work. Being in an interesting position, she sang until the last day, covering her stomach with a guitar. The “Lyceum” became a kind of school of life for Anya, here she developed her singing talents, learned to be independent, decisive and purposeful.

Music

The debut song of the new group “Mama Mia” was first broadcast on “Europe Plus”, followed by the single “Aim”, and the first concerts took place in Moscow. Work on a full-length album entitled “Criminal Love” was completed in a year. The premiere took place at the Opera club. The song “All the best” became the calling card of the group.

In 2008, Vintage presented one of its most successful singles, “Bad Girl.” The song was accompanied by a video featuring actress Elena Korikova, so erotic that not all channels dared to show it. The video for the song “Loneliness of Love” became incredibly popular. Just like the previous one, the song topped the charts for two weeks.

In 2009, the already popular group released a new album with a title in their favorite provocative style - SEX. The artists dedicated the song “Eva” to their colleague Eva Polnaya, using a sample from her work “Run from Me.” The track becomes a mega-hit, staying at the top of the charts for two months.

In some sources, “Eva” is called the main success in the entire history of the Vintage group. After recording the album, Anna and Alexey stopped collaborating with Sony Music and moved under the roof of Gala Records. A year later, the single “Victoria” rose to the top of the charts. The song “Mickey,” dedicated to Michael Jackson, was no less loved by Russian and foreign listeners. The team received three nominations for the MUZ-TV award.

“Mickey”, as well as “Roman”, “Mama America” were included in the next album, named after the soloist - “Anechka”. The song “Trees” was accompanied by a small scandal: a video sequence in which religious motives were clearly visible was censored. Critics generally perceived the work of “Vintage” in a positive way, noting that the video is not inferior to Western models, the music is soulful, and the words are understandable. The group received an award from Sound Track.

While working on the album “Very Dance,” Romanov, the author of poems and songs of “Vintage,” said that he would present compositions by other authors on it. Such were the collaborations with DJs Smash and Bobina. The duet of Anna and Andrei Shirman for the song “Moscow” was nominated for the ZD Awards.

The single entered the top ten most popular for the year, topped the Russian Top 100 and reached second place in the Moscow radio chart. DJ Smash topped the chart of the authoritative portal Tophit for the first time. The alliance with Dmitry Almazov was not so productive. The joint song “Nanana” did not even make it into the top 100 rotated on Tophit.

The album “Decamerone”, released in 2014 and designed in the style of Andy Warhol, was called too good by critics. Alexey's participation was still limited only to arrangements. The song “When You Are Near” once again rose to the top of the charts. Mikhail Galustyan starred in the main role in the video on the theme of the dashing 90s.

Another song from the album was slightly ahead in success - “Sign of Aquarius”. It enjoyed enormous popularity in Ukraine, although some critics called it a “banal commercial hit.”

Go to "Vintage"

After the Lyceum, Pletneva went on an independent voyage. She founded the author’s project “Coffee with Rain”, being both a producer and the main performer in it. The first single was called “Nine and a Half Weeks”, it was written for the girl by an old friend Alexey Romanov, author and composer, former lead singer of the famous group “Omega”. It was he who pushed Anya to the conclusion that “Coffee” was just a transitional stage, and we needed to think about creating something grandiose and innovative. This is how the “Vintage” group was formed, which, in addition to Pletneva and Romanov, included the dancer Mia.

In 2007, the first album entitled “Criminal Love” was released. He just blew the audience away. People and colleagues on stage paid attention to a talented woman who devoted herself entirely to her favorite creativity. The lead singer of the Vintage group not only sang well, she attracted public attention with her slightly daring behavior. In 2008, together with Elena Korikova, she presented the scandalous video “Bad Girl”, a little later she shocked with lesbian motifs in the song “Eva, I loved you”, dedicated to the singer Eva Polnaya. After this, the lead singer of the Vintage group finally became a scandalous girl for the public.

Compound

The general public is mostly familiar with the golden composition of the group in the person of former member of the Lyceum trio Anna Pletneva and, again, former member of the A-Mega group Alexei Romanov. The young people were brought together by chance. In the hot summer of 2006, Anya was driving to the “Guests from the Future” concert and crashed into Alexei’s car. While we were waiting for the traffic cops, we started talking and somehow came to the conclusion that we needed to create a pop group.

Group "Vintage" - first lineup

As music critics later wrote, for Anya, who has artistry, a sense of style, and undeniable vocal abilities, such a decision was quite logical. But little was known about Alexey’s work, with the exception of the songs he wrote for Yulia Savicheva, Alsou, and the Nepara group.

The third member of the Vintage group is dancer Mia, rumored to be English. The task of the mysterious girl is to translate songs into the language of dance. Mia had perfect pitch and a sense of rhythm, and her plastic language is still remembered by fans of the group.

Anna Pletneva

Possible names for the new union included "Chelsea" and "Dreamers". But by that time the producers of the “Star Factory” participants had already “staken out” the former. “Vintage” belongs to Anya’s authorship.

After six months of studio work, the newly-minted team appeared before the public and quickly won over its audience. With varying degrees of success, Vintage performed on stage, recorded albums, and toured with concerts. In addition, the group’s compositions fell into rotation, the soloist soon acquired the title of the sexiest and most charming singer on the Russian stage, and the clips unnerved moral guardians.

Alexey Romanov

The first changes in the composition of Vintage occurred in 2008, when the taciturn Mia was replaced by Svetlana Ivanova. Soon, on her 39th birthday, Anna announced that she was going on a solo voyage, although she emphasized that the decision was a common one. The singer was not satisfied with the club format of the group. Pletneva decided that her music should be heard by people who did not visit nightclubs, where most of the concerts were held.

Romanov began searching for two new soloists, and in the end found four at once. In September 2016, Anya announced the names of new participants in Vintage: two Anastasias - Kazaku from Perm and Muscovite Kreskina, Anna Kornilyeva, who came from Vladivostok, Evgenia Polikarpova from St. Petersburg.

The girls already had some experience. Zhenya tried to get into the sixth “Star Factory”, performed on the “New Wave” and in Grigory Leps’ project “Highest Standard”, wrote the soundtrack to Valeria Gai Germanika’s film “A Short Course in a Happy Life”.

Nastya Kreskina has a musical education and has several unsuccessful castings behind her. Her namesake is the only married participant and a young mother. She sang in a children's music group, tried to become an actress, and went through two rounds of the show “The Voice.”

Nastya Kazaku

Anna is a self-taught, author and performer of her own songs, at the time of selection for the group she had already recorded 19 compositions, and also shot 5 videos. She performed as an opening act, in restaurants and clubs.

However, the group's second life did not last long. Already in the fall of 2017, posts like “Ex-Vintage” and “The group broke up” appeared on the girls’ Instagram pages. Alexey Romanov also posted a corresponding post, but soon deleted the comment. There will be no official announcement about the closure of the project, as stated in the fan group.

Project “Anna Pletneva and the Vintage group”

In April 2018, the former soloist of “Vintage” Nastya Kazaku presented her first solo experience on the iTunes music service - the song “Be with me again.” This track will be included in the singer’s debut album, which she is working on.

Evgenia Polikarpov also did not give up trying to get on the big stage. The girl participated in the casting of the show “SONGS” on the TNT channel. The artist admitted that she dreams of joining Maxim Fadeev’s team, and performed the SEREBRO song “Don’t hurt more.” The similarity with Lena Temnikova did not attract the founder of the MALFA label, and Zhenya made it to the next round only thanks to Timati and Semyon Slepakov.

First marriage

While still a member of the Lyceum group, Pletnyova became pregnant and got married. For a long time, the cute curly-haired girl tirelessly traveled throughout the CIS and participated in numerous concerts. It should be noted that the 23-year-old singer, as soon as her rounded tummy was noticed, was immediately given a condition: either family or stage. It is clear that the woman chose personal happiness, sacrificing a brilliant career and resounding success for it.

Despite all Anya’s efforts, her husband left her. It turned out that he was not ready for the birth of the baby. At heart, this adult man remained a small child, requiring constant care, not wanting to shoulder responsibility. The future performer (group “Vintage”) found herself in a difficult life situation. The soloist, whose personal life was not going well, had a hard time coping with the divorce. Her little daughter, whom she named Varvara, brought her out of depression. Taking care of the girl, the singer gradually accumulated strength in order to again conquer not only the stage, but also men’s hearts.

The words retro, retro style, vintage and vintage fashion have firmly established themselves in our vocabulary. But many people often confuse these meanings, so let's find out what is called retro and what is vintage, and how these things will differ from each other. We will take the definitions of these concepts in the context of fashion; they may differ slightly in different areas.

vintage itself is of French origin, taken from winemaking, and denotes high-quality wines of certain vintages. In fashion, vintage also means high-quality and unique items characteristic of a particular era. A vintage item is characterized by:

The age of the item must be no younger than 20 years (many believe that it is no less than 30 years) and no older than 60-80 years (different fashion designers indicate different times). Anything older is antique, anything younger is modern fashion. Some people believe that vintage things are things created before the 60s of the 20th century, and everything created later is retro. There are a lot of opinions about this age, but usually things from the 20s to 80s of the last century are considered vintage.

A vintage item must clearly reflect the style of a particular time (decade); they must express the fashion trends of that time.

It is believed that a vintage item should be something outstanding and unique. That is, an item purchased in a mass-market store in the 60s will not be called vintage by everyone. In general, there is an opinion that vintage clothing can only be something that has a unique history and was created by famous brands in limited quantities. Everything that is not examples of high fashion works is classified as retro.

This image is created in a retro style. Perhaps there are vintage glasses here? Very often, only experts can determine the authenticity of an item. 70s style jeans. If they really are from that era and also from a fashion house, they are vintage.

Retro is a broader concept and means antique things or modern things, but stylized as antique. Retro-style items do not have to be created in the era in which you want to dress; it can very well be modern, but with elements of yesteryear. For example, the other day the Gucci brand presented a new summer collection 2020 with retro-style items. The items are created by a modern designer, but incorporate elements from the 70s era.

Retro style looks

Designers often turn to fashion from past years and create something new.

Vintage as one of the constituent elements is included in the concept of retro. And if vintage is a specific thing, then retro is more of a general concept that denotes style. Dressing in retro style is easier than finding vintage items. After all, real vintage can be quite expensive. And in our video tutorial from stylist, image maker and shopper Yulia Muradyan (Sofronova) “Vintage in fashion. Is it possible to wear things from grandma’s chest?” you can find a lot of useful information on where to find vintage items and how to wear them. And, of course, don’t forget to subscribe to new articles.

Second marriage

After breaking up with her first husband, Anya tried in every possible way to find personal happiness. Paradoxically, she was destined to meet her fate when she least expected it. While having fun with friends in one of the nightclubs, the singer met a man there. He himself approached the girl and asked for her phone number. Anna never took such acquaintances seriously, so she deliberately gave the wrong number. She forgot this meeting within a few minutes, continuing to dance and have fun. Businessman Kirill Syrov, and that was the man’s name, was unable to find the girl, so he married another woman, who gave birth to his baby. The relationship did not work out, so three years later he filed for divorce. At this time, he met Anya again, but she again ignored him.

The next meeting will take place in 10 years. Pletnyova met Syrov on the plane, which was heading to Dnepropetrovsk. And then the relationship began - in the sky at an altitude of a thousand kilometers. The couple could not decide to live together for a long time, for fear of hurting little Varvara. Nevertheless, after some time, the businessman and the lead singer of the Vintage group legitimized their relationship. The children born from this marriage are daughter Maria and son Kirill.

Anna Pletneva: “Vintage,” like a marriage, has cracked.”

— Anya, it’s quite obvious that ZD readers, when choosing the finalists in the “Group of the Year” nomination, voted for the “classic” “Vintage”, in which you and Alexei Romanov were one musical whole. At the height of popularity, the group breaks up. ABBA you are ours!!! Why?

- To my great regret, this story really ended. We made the decision together, although many fans thought that I, as the frontwoman of the group, put an end to it. What happened was the logical outcome of what was happening; we simply had no choice. Lately, everything has been like a marriage that has already cracked, although outwardly it did not manifest itself in any way. A union, personal or creative, cannot last long in this state. If people no longer burn with a single impulse, are not in the same cage, and something has broken inside, it means that very soon their paths will diverge. Unfortunately, this happened in our case too. The fact that they still vote for us as a single creative whole, on the one hand, is incredibly pleasant, on the other hand, it even hurts, like a knife to the heart, because right now we are saying goodbye to that same amazing energy, to the very team that lived a fairly long and happy life. But, despite any disagreements, short-term grievances between Alexei Romanov and me, I know for sure that inside there was only great love for our common brainchild, great pride for it. I speak very emotionally because the feelings are overwhelming. And I have a clear understanding that we made this entire amazing story together: it would not have been born if our tandem had not arisen.

— Back in August last year, you renamed the group: “Vintage” turned into the “Anna Pletneva” project, and then new members appeared... Did you carefully plan the separation algorithm?

- No. Now from the outside it may seem that all our recent joint actions were a cunningly planned scheme - the video “A Little Advertising”, where we showed ourselves in a coffin, the very words of this song - “leave at least a little love after the period as a keepsake.” In fact, this was absolutely not the case: we planned to continue working together, but fate decreed otherwise. And, by the way, with the advent of the Anna Pletneva project, the Vintage group did not disappear anywhere, and continues to successfully exist with a renewed composition. Now the group has four soloists - four “bad girls”.

— What do you see as the “Vintage” phenomenon? What secrets of success were manipulated?

- We certainly had these secrets, but, to be honest, we ourselves could not fully reveal them. Before the birth of the group, both Lesha and I were not creatively free, each was in his own musical “prison” - I was in the Lyceum group, he was in Amega. Perhaps the fact that we broke away from there and began to go “in spite” gave a great impetus to further development. It's been 11 years since we created Vintage. At the beginning of this journey, we were called “downed pilots,” artists no longer needed by anyone. And we, being proud, stubborn people, decided - “come what may,” we felt free and began to have fun, without thinking about the format, about the trend. We created our own trends. But still, I think the main reason for success was the action of some magical forces in which I believe. And the way they work is inexplicable.

— Many Russian artists are still criticized for being on a level lower than Western performers, but your shows were truly high-quality. What foreign samples did you focus on?

— Lesha and I not only have similar creative stories, we are also the same age, so we grew up in the same era, essentially listening to the same music. We saw that turning point when the forbidden became accessible; Madonna and Michael Jackson, to whom “Vintage” once dedicated the song “Mickey,” appeared on the stage. These artists changed people's consciousness, and they influenced us too. In addition, I was a more alternatively oriented girl than Romanov, at some point I was crazy about Björk - I really liked her. I remember the first clips, the first VCRs on which they were recorded. All this could not help but leave an imprint, and all this shaped us as individuals from childhood. But, of course, we never copied anyone's shows on purpose, that would have been too primitive. Sometimes some associations and allusions arose: for example, I attended Lady Gaga’s performances several times and thought that in some sense this story was parallel to ours. It seems to me that in the creative world there is a certain unified information field - and similar energy can manifest itself in different people in different parts of the world. This is also such an interesting and inexplicable thing.

— Isn’t it chilly now, as a solo performer? What thoughts does a new stage begin with?

“Now I feel my strength, and this is, first of all, the power of experience. Of course, that girl 11 years ago and me today are two different people. I feel confident, I know that I can do a lot, and most importantly, I want to move on. In show business, in life in general, everything is not as simple as it seems from the outside. We don’t go in a straight line, we rise and fall, and in this situation it is very easy to break down, to lose the desire to do anything, to create something new. I still want this, which means I can. In my case, this formula works one hundred percent.

— What level are you setting for yourself now?

- I have a lot of ideas. I want to do a big solo concert. After big changes, a lot needs to be built anew, in a sense - to start from scratch, but to go further and higher. I have a favorite phrase from the book “Alice Through the Looking Glass.” When Alice and the Red Queen are running across the chessboard and at some point Alice asks the Queen if they have reached the goal, which seems to be very close, she replies: “Well, dear, to move to the next square, you need to run two times faster". Right now I have a feeling that I have to run twice as fast, make a dash, and I will do it.

— You recently released a very funny and unexpected video “Girlfriend”, filmed with comedian Marina Fedunkiv. How did this work come about?

- This is a unique story, because we really became friends, although we didn’t even know each other before. We realized that we don’t want to stop, we want to rock, we’re filming our series, we meet constantly and just laugh together. She is, of course, an amazing person, unlike anyone else. I am very glad that Marina appeared in my life. You know, this is such a Faina Ranevskaya of the new era. I always adored Ranevskaya, dreamed of meeting her, and so I met her - in some new incarnation. It’s great that everyone liked our duet, although for me it was an unusual experiment, a gift of fate.

— What are the main conclusions you have drawn for yourself over the years on stage?

- You know, I feel and clearly understand that I am not even halfway there yet. Therefore, can I draw conclusions in another 20 years? And maybe I’ll write a book about it. (Laughs.)

Always in shape

The lead singer of the group carefully monitors her appearance. “Vintage” can boast of a slender, beautiful and young performer. With a height of 152 cm, Anya weighs 47 kilograms. Having become a mother three times, she continues to shine in the bright light of the spotlight, causing the envy of her colleagues. Each time after giving birth, the woman quickly returned to her former shape. Pletnyova says that constant vocal and dance classes help her stay thin. The girl does not follow any special diets, but only tries to lead an active lifestyle.

In addition to singing and choreography, Anna loves skiing, so she tries to spend her holidays in the mountains. Here she fearlessly descends from the peaks, having fun and maintaining her slim figure. Pletnyova also knows very well numerous karate techniques - she is also actively involved in this martial art. The woman says that moving on stage also helps her lose weight. In just one concert she loses about two kilograms.

Vintage. We rub against each other

“Vintage” is a legendary group whose songs are known to almost everyone. Today, we talked with the new line-up of “Vintage”. Nessie, Nastya, Zhenya and Anya talked about how they became the new history of the group and about the criticism they received, about communication with Anya Pletneva and the filming of the first video, and also shared their creative plans and goals.

— Girls, tell me, have you ever dreamed that you would sing in such a famous group “Vintage”? — Nessie: No, of course not. If only because “Vintage” had almost the same lineup for more than ten years. I couldn’t even think that someday all this could change so much. It was a shock for me, as well as for fans and listeners. — Nastya: I always dreamed of singing on the big stage. Of course, I couldn’t imagine that it would be “Vintage”. I listened to the music of Anya and Lesha, I always liked their songs, their unusual style and grandiose shows. — Zhenya: I didn’t think that I would be the lead singer of a legendary group, but I always dreamed of getting into a good project and worked very hard to realize my dream. Now I have a new dream, I want to pack stadiums with the girls and create a new “Vintage” story. — Anya: Of course, I couldn’t even suspect that everything would turn out like this. But I’m incredibly happy that I’m here and with exactly the people who were given to me somewhere above, probably.

— Before you joined the group, did you listen to its songs? Were you fans of creativity? — Nessie: I heard and listened. I really liked some songs, I downloaded them to my player and could play them on repeat all day long. — Nastya: I heard and listened, of course. And, interestingly, my first place of work was called “Vintage”. — Zhenya: I always followed the trends of the music industry and “Vintage” could not go unnoticed. This is a legend, I have always followed the work of the group, but the meeting with Anna Pletnyova made a special impression on me. When I saw this fragile talented girl live, I thought, I can do it too, she greatly inspired me. But at that moment I could not yet imagine that such changes would ever occur in the history of the Vintage group.

— How did you come up with the idea to go to the casting? What influenced this decision? — Nessie: You know, I was supposed to fly to work in China then, but then I saw the news about the casting and didn’t think twice about it - I sent in an application. The big stage is my big dream. And when I only went through the first stage, I was still sitting on my suitcases and didn’t know where I was going to go. And then, a couple of days later, at the final casting, Anya puts a crown on me. So everything was decided. — Nastya: Quite by accident I saw on the Internet that “Vintage” was looking for a new soloist. And without thinking, I corrected my notes. Every day I checked my messages and waited nervously for someone to write or call me. — Zhenya: Dream and love for music are the only things that have driven me for many years. I didn’t think twice when I saw the casting information. I immediately went to the studio, recorded a couple of covers of Vintage songs and shot a video, sent in my application form and waited for the results. I visualized the idea that I was the new lead singer of the group, I imagined going on the big stage. I had a screensaver of the legendary lineup on my phone and computer and one thought in my head about my dream and my favorite music in my head. — Anya: And here’s a very interesting point. I didn’t know that there would be some kind of casting, and even for such a stable group. Well, anyone, but not Vintage. My friend, he lives in Moscow and monitors everything that happens. And one day he simply sent me a link to the casting and said, send me the application form. Get involved. I read the terms and conditions and thought that this whole story was not about me. But okay. In general, he persuaded me. If it weren’t for him then, I probably wouldn’t be answering this question to you now.

— Tell me, do you communicate with Anya Pletnyova? Perhaps she gives you some creative advice and guidance? — Nessie: We discuss everything with her, offer some ideas, options for creativity in general. And she gives us instructions, teaches us and shares her creative experience - this is all very important. — Nastya: We communicate quite often and this is not surprising, because she is not only our producer, but also a friend, teacher, psychologist. She gives a lot of useful advice and helps us. — Zhenya: When Anna was just recruiting a new cast, in one of her interviews she said: “I will teach them all the secrets of show business and tell them everything I know.” At that moment, goosebumps ran through my skin. Now, every time I meet her, I feel terrible excitement and admiration for this person. She educates us and teaches us to survive in this difficult world of show business.

— Was it difficult for you to fit into the shocking, creative, sometimes sexy, style and image of the group? — Nessie: Before “Vintage” I performed in completely different costumes, styles and images. For me, it’s like acting in a theater—transformation. And, of course, all the images from “Vintage” are very close to me. — Nastya: Not at all. I understood perfectly well where I was going and what kind of group it was. I knew that many would judge our appearance, but it’s just an image. We don't go down the subway in shorts. — Zhenya: I’m not at all embarrassed by our revealing outfits. On the contrary, I really like it. I love provocation, I like it when people pay attention to me. — Anya: You know, I remember my thoughts once upon a time. I watched Anya’s performance and thought: “Damn, they sure are bold, such revealing costumes and dancing. I definitely couldn’t do that.” And when all this happened to me, I just accepted it. I can’t say that this image is somehow not harmonious for me. Despite all my correctness and modesty, I really love daring images. For me, it’s like combining incompatible things. This manifests itself in my life, depending on my mood, of course.

- You are all from different cities of Russia - Vladivostok, Perm, St. Petersburg, Ryazan. Do you all live in Moscow now? How did your family and friends react to such changes in life and to participation in the group as a whole? — Nessie: Once upon a time, at the age of 17, after graduating from school, I went to live and work in Moscow. At that time I was still working in a trading company and lived here for three years. And then fate brought me to China. So my family already takes everything completely calmly. I'm at home in Moscow. — Nastya: I want to say a huge thank you to my family and friends for always supporting me in everything. They warned me that it would be difficult in another city, but no one even thought to dissuade me. Everyone knows this is my dream and I will go through anything. — Zhenya: I was born in the city of Vyborg, and during my studies I moved to St. Petersburg, and at some point I realized that I needed to move to the capital to realize my creative plans. I clearly decided that I needed to go now, otherwise it would be too late. I packed my things and left for a city unfamiliar to me - without friends, without money and without support. My parents were very worried and did not want to let me go. But after some time, my mother said that she now understands why I have come such a long way and that she is proud of me. I have been living in Moscow for three years, and my family supports me. — Anya: Of course, my parents were worried. I had never traveled so far, and when my parents found out that I was called to a casting in Moscow, of course, they went with me.

— Tell me, have you already faced criticism? How do you react? — Nessie: I did. It used to be very unpleasant. And even my mother always told me if she didn’t like something about me. After all, she is my biggest critic. At first I was offended by her and cried. But now, any criticism does not break me. Thank you, Mom. — Nastya: Unfortunately, or fortunately, there is a lot of criticism towards us now. Everyone is used to the fact that “Vintage” is Anya Pletneva, and cannot get used to the new line-up. This is a big blow for the fans, and I understand them perfectly. We try not to pay attention to the negative, we listen to subjective opinions. It's impossible to please everyone. We already have our own audience, our own fans. And thanks to them for that. — Zhenya: We constantly face criticism. I can admit that at first it was difficult for me to accept negative comments about me. But after a while, I changed my attitude towards this issue. The more people talk about us, the better. — Anya: It was like that. But to be honest, I don’t care at all. I read everything that is written about us and about me. The main thing is that they speak and pay attention. And we are working on bugs endlessly.

— Is it difficult for you to work together in a team? Everyone has different characters and views on life. Are there quarrels in your team? — Nessie: And quarrels, and disagreements, and unsaid words - all this is there. We are people from different cities, we have different families, upbringings and life experiences. We, as girls, have to find solutions and ways out of different situations. And yes, it doesn't always work out smoothly. — Nastya: It’s difficult in a girl’s group. We have disagreements and arguments. And that's okay. Everyone has their own opinion and their own point of view. The main thing is that we can always get out of any difficult situation. We understand perfectly well that we have one common cause and one task. We respect each other and that's the main thing. — Zhenya: Of course, working in a women’s team is not easy. We get used to each other, get to know each other better. I hope that someday we will learn to understand each other perfectly. This is necessary on stage. We can’t do without quarrels, we’re girls. But the main thing is to respect each other and make compromises; we have been working together for many years. — Anya: I can’t say that it’s difficult for me. I feel absolutely comfortable. It is human nature to get used to everything. And for me the most important thing is that I am where I should be and doing what I love. Everyone has quarrels, and we are no exception - we periodically share shoes and dresses.

- Do you like sports? How do you keep fit? Do you adhere to proper nutrition? — Nessie: I love sports – very much. But, unfortunately, there is not always time and opportunity to organize everything. I love fishing, and sometimes it works out. And in my head I also have snowboarding, rafting, surfing, and skiing. — Nastya: We rehearse and dance a lot. We stretch, pump up our abs, and do squats. Fun and useful. — Zhenya: We spend a lot of time in the gym, and in general we lead a very active lifestyle. We eat a lot, to be honest. Still, everything unnecessary goes away in the hall and, of course, due to the emotions that you experience on stage, excitement, worry, stress - all this keeps us in shape. — Anya: I walked through the gym and concluded that there was nothing for me to do there. That's not mine. The most important sport in our life is movement. Don't sit on the couch all day and stay in shape. Now my girls and I have a very active lifestyle. Dancing, concerts, experiences. This keeps everything on track. I eat almost everything, in general - this is my favorite thing to do after work.

— Recently, a video for your debut song was released. Tell us how the filming went? Was this your first experience of filming a video? Or have any of you already tried your hand at this? — Nessie: The filming was stormy and exciting, although I already had professional filming in my life. — Nastya: Yes, for me this was the first filming. And I will never forget how many emotions I experienced that day. It's very interesting to try on different images and see yourself on the screen. Director Seryozha Tkachenko explained everything clearly and clearly, and when necessary, he diffused the situation with jokes. By 5 am, of course, we were already like squeezed lemons. We spent too much time in heels and the last scene was a dance scene. My legs then went crazy. — Zhenya: Our first video is my first serious work. Previously, I released videos for my solo songs, but these were experiments and everything was created largely on my own and with small investments. I love filming, so for me every minute spent on set was a joy. Filming our debut video took almost a day; it was very comfortable to work with director Sergei Tkachenko. He helped us choose the right emotion and the best angle, everything was thought out to the smallest detail, so we didn’t waste any time. The stylists worked with us on several looks. My first image was an anime schoolgirl with long hair and short bangs, which by the way I once wore as a child. I liked the image of the dolls the most; I was impressed when I saw the huge box in which we had to stand and pretend to be the dolls - inside the box you could see a huge number of notes related to the history of the Vintage group. — Anya: I shot videos together with cameramen friends. But what happened now is different. This is a big team, everyone's eyes are shining. I felt very comfortable on set. I didn't feel anything wrong. I was in character, I was in the process, it’s very addictive and I really like it.

— Do they recognize you on the street? How do you react to this? — Nessie: They recognize us in more crowded places, especially if there are four of us. And so, for now, I enjoy the opportunity to calmly walk the streets and shops. — Nastya: Not so often yet, but it happens. Especially if there are four of us. We like it, we are pleased that people know. They take pictures with us and say a lot of nice words. This is cool. — Zhenya: People are starting to recognize us, asking for autographs and taking pictures. Very often fans wait for us after radio broadcasts and, of course, after concerts. We happily communicate with them on social networks and try to be closer to them. — Anya: Not much time has passed since our birth. But there were moments, and they were very pleasant.

— Tell me, what do you feel when you go out into a crowded auditorium? Do you have any anxiety or fear? — Nessie: Maybe this is wrong, but I lost my fear somewhere. I'm not afraid of the stage or large crowds. I go out and do what I love, why be afraid. — Nastya: I worry absolutely before every performance and there’s nothing you can do about it. But when I go on stage and see people, the fear goes away instantly. I like to stand on stage, I like to give people music and mood. I like people's sincere smiles. — Zhenya: Sometimes it seems to me that I live in order to go on stage, I am endlessly in love with my favorite thing. Words cannot express the feeling I feel when I go on the big stage. It's damn nice when people sing along with you. — Anya: Every time is like the first. I really don't want to lose this feeling. Because that’s the real thrill.

— What is the most unusual gift you have received in your life? — Nessie: A ticket to the concert of my beloved Mireille Mathieu. — Nastya: Literally on March 8th, my mother made a gift for our group - she sewed Vintage dolls herself. They are very similar to us and now they are our mascots. — Zhenya: I was handed a large box packed in shiny blue paper. I couldn't wait to open it. I tore open the package and when I saw what was in it, I was shocked. Since I live by music all my life, I will not hide the fact that I am extremely pleased to receive musical gifts - these were CDs. A huge box of CDs with Zhenya Polikarpova on the cover. I began to study the contents, the disk was made in the form of a small book, on each of the pages there was my photograph, lines from poems dedicated to me and a compliment. There was a huge number of records, and the music on the discs was collected on the Internet, it included everything that I managed to record in the studio during my studies. — Anya: They once placed a two-meter pillow under my Christmas tree. At first I didn’t understand what it was and how to live with it now.

— Share creative plans and goals. New songs, concerts? — Nessie: There are many plans, but one goal - to continue the story with dignity. There will be more songs, we will surprise everyone. And we have more and more concerts. — Nastya: We are now working on new material, learning new numbers, coming up with new costumes. It's great that we can also take an active part in our creative activities. — Zhenya: At the moment we are doing a lot of work on new material, very soon you will hear new songs. In general, we have big plans for this year. This is our first year, everything is new for us now, and we enjoy every concert, every filming. I wish we could keep these feelings for as long as possible. — Anya: A lot of things are planned. I’ve been writing a lot lately, and it’s possible that one of them will come to life. We are preparing a new single. And I assure you that this year we will make you dance hard.

— What would you like to wish our readers? — Nessie: Harmonies. In everything and everywhere. Like the Chinese, where everything is somehow balanced and calm. I wish everyone to always be happy in soul. — Nastya: Let this spring be special for everyone. — Zhenya: I would like to wish the readers that all your dreams come true. Believe in yourself, believe in what you are doing. May there be love and harmony in your life. — Anya: I would like to wish you to enjoy life, enjoy spring, fall in love and breathe deeply. Never stop and achieve your goals, dream and never let them go. Have a good mood and more sunshine.

We thank you for the interview and wish you the achievement of all your plans and goals. Success, new creative ideas, strength and energy, and good mood.

Style

We all remember the girls from the Lyceum group. Their outfits were casual: checkered shirts, jeans, sneakers. Sometimes they appeared in rather revealing costumes, but usually the participants' clothes were unsightly and boring. Anya of this trio has always been distinguished by her desire to experiment with style. Therefore, after leaving the group, the lead singer of the group developed her own fashion: “Vintage” began to conquer the heights of show business not only with new hits, but also with bold outfits. One time the singer appeared dressed in Mickey Mouse ears and a dress from glossy magazines, and another time she surprised with a transparent robe made of chains and without lining.

In addition, everyone knows the girl’s love for accessories. She believes that these details can transform even the most ordinary-looking dress. Her personal collection includes a thousand straps, of different lengths and widths, styles and colors. Friends, knowing about this passion, once gave her a gothic necklace and black metal earrings. Anya was delighted, because such jewelry would go perfectly with both an evening dress and everyday wear.

Considering the concept of “retro”

This term covers the entire collection of antique items or modern clothing, stylized according to the fashion of yesteryear . Definitely, this concept is broader than vintage, if only because an antique piece of clothing may never have been fashionable and iconic.

Retro refers more to style than to the uniqueness of a particular product . The 60s style look is called retro because it represents how people dressed at one time or another. A retro item is not always truly old: it can be created recently, but look like you took it out of a chest. Designers are often inspired by the fashion of past years, and add elements of previously popular accessories, shapes, and silhouettes to modern outfits.

Discography

Nowadays, a soloist often appears on television screens, on radio broadcasts and at social events. “Vintage” (Anna Pletnyova, Alexey Romanov and Svetlana Ivanova) is a modern Russian pop group. Her music style is so-called Europop, mixed with electronics and dance motifs. It also contains elements of classics, as well as some nuances borrowed from the images of Sophia Loren, Madonna, and Michael Jackson. The group was even compared to the Pet Shop Boys for their meaningful lyrics.

Interestingly, the name “Vintage” was invented by accident. During a conversation with Alexei Romanov, Pletnyova noted that their creative union can be called historical, vintage. Before this, they planned to call the group “Chelsea” or “Dreamers”. Now “Vintage” can boast of 10 albums, two of which saw the world in 2020: “Vintage. LIVE 1.0" and "VENI, VIDI, VICI". The discography also includes 24 singles, including “Bad Girl”, “Mama America”, “Sign of Aquarius”, “Clean Water” and other famous tracks.

Stars

The Vintage group has taken the long-vacant place on the domestic pop scene as shocking aesthetes, who, at the same time, are not at all ashamed to listen to. The thing is that the main members of the group - Anna Pletneva and Alexei Romanov - have a very serious musical career behind them. Anna sang at the Lyceum for a long time, where she accomplished the impossible - she eliminated Alexei Makarevich’s monopoly on creating the group’s songs and brought her own material to the girls’ group. And Alexey Romanov worked at Amega together with another ex-lyceum student, Lena Perova. The destinies of the two founders of Vintage intersected in a parking lot near the Moscow Moscow Art Theater, where Anna crashed into Alexei’s car. As they say, there would be no happiness, but misfortune helped. The musicians immediately decided how to work together - Anna was responsible for vocals, Alexey - for music, but a third participant was needed to complement the stage picture of the group, and dancer Mia was invited to the team, who was supposed to duplicate the lyrics in plastic language. And the lyrics, it must be said, were appropriate: from a perky girl from the Lyceum, Anna turned into a real bad girl of Russian pop music: attractive, sexy and a little vicious. Vintage’s first album, entitled “ Criminal Love ,” entailed a tour of Russia, but the group wanted to shock the audience even more. The musicians recorded the song “ Bad Girl Elena Korikova , known from the television series “Poor Nastya” - and the video clip for this song finally established “Vintage” as the sexiest domestic band. Svetlana Ivanova is now responsible for the stage images , and Pletneva and Romanov continue to shock the audience, encroaching on the throne of pop provocateurs, empty after the collapse of TaTu. The song “ Eva ,” dedicated to Eva Polna, the vocalist of “ Guests from the Future ” (it was while Anna was rushing to their concert that she drove into Alexei’s car), created Anna’s image of not just an erotic beauty, but a girl who is not afraid of the most sophisticated experiments. Sex , released in 2009, finally secured the title of the most provocative domestic pop group for the Vintage group. It must be said that the quality of the song recording is at an unexpectedly high level for domestic show business: “Vintage” produces Europop at a high, high-quality European level. Work on the band's second studio album was almost completed in March 2009. Alexey Romanov said in an interview that the record will include borrowings from classical music, and the album will begin with an overture from the opera “Eugene Onegin” by Pyotr Tchaikovsky.

On February 17, 2012, the group released a new single, “ Moscow ,” recorded with DJ Smash. The duet became the first work presented from the group’s new project, called “Vintage Very Dance”. Alexey Romanov said that he was not going to write his own songs for this album; it will include compositions by guest DJs and other young authors.

On April 17, 2013, the single “ Sign of Aquarius ” was released from the planned fifth album “ Decamerone ”. On April 22, the shooting of a video for this composition took place, directed by Sergei Tkachenko, and its premiere took place on May 21 on the Internet video channel “ELLO”.

At the end of January 2020, Alexey Romanov published a photo with a list of songs for the upcoming album “ Veni Vidi Vici ” and containing 13 songs, one of which, “ Breathe ,” was presented by the group’s label “Velvet Music” on January 23 on social media. VKontakte network. On March 10, the premiere of the video for the song “Breathe” took place. On June 10, it became known that the group won the Fashion People Awards in the Fashion Group category.

On August 21, 2020, Anna Pletnyova presented her first solo single “ Strong Girl ” and announced her intention to start a solo career.

According to the casting results, the new soloists of the group were Anna Kornilyeva, Anastasia Kazaku, Anastasia Kreskina and Zhenya Polikarpova.

On November 18, the premiere of the new single of the updated line-up, “Who Wants to Be a Queen,” took place. In less than a day, the single managed to get into the TOP 3 of iTunes Russia. On November 21, the filming of the video clip “Who Wants to Be a Queen” took place, directed by Sergei Tkachenko .
Anna Pletnyova and Alexey Romanov took part in the video. Soon, the group returned to its original lineup.
