Victoria's ancestors on her father's side do not just belong to an ancient noble family. In the 12th century, the noble Lithuanian prince Gediminas married the Grand Duchess of Smolensk Olga, they became the founders of this noble family. At the age of six they started taking her to a ballet studio, at nine they took her to enroll in a choreographic school, but she failed the exams miserably (everyone suspected - on purpose). Family members had to come to terms with the fact that their daughter categorically did not want to be a ballerina, and she was allowed to sing in the Grenada ensemble. The relationship with this group was much better than with the ballet: Vika sang with pleasure, the ensemble went on tour. Grenada's direction was patriotic songs, and with this repertoire the group often toured abroad, so Victoria went to Cuba for the first time.

At one of the rehearsals, the girl was noticed by the editors of the then popular program “Morning Star”: they went to different groups, looking for young talents for the competition. Victoria was then fifteen years old, and she was invited to audition, and then included in the list of contestants. She successfully performed in the project, taking second place, losing the championship to Dima Dankov. However, the audience liked her so much that she was awarded the Audience Choice Award. Yuri Nikolaev, the then presenter of Morning Star, later said that he immediately realized that Vika had a great future. The chain of success did not break for the girl at “Morning Star”. The director of the Jewish State Theater “Lechaim” Igor Kasyura saw Victoria’s performance in the program and thought: she not only sings, she can also become a good actress! He found her and brought an unknown girl (it’s scary to say - without theater education) to the theater. Singer Zhanna Titova, who then worked at Lechaim, recalled: “He beckoned me with his finger and said: look who I brought! And it turns out... a child, small, thin as Thumbelina, the beauty of an extraordinary child, huge eyes on her face, without makeup.”
In the theater she was immediately given the nickname “Russian Audrey Hepburn”: she really looked like the great actress not only in appearance, but also in her “modest grace, bordering on tightness” - a statement from one of the theater actors. “What a girl, a pure angel!” – my theater colleagues exclaimed in delight. Then Victoria admitted that she secretly dreamed of becoming an actress even more than a singer, she simply understood that this is a very difficult profession, it’s not so easy to get into it. Trusting Igor Kasyura, she agreed to come to the theater and began working there, but not everyone admired her: along with the “Russian Audrey Hepburn,” part of the troupe angrily called her an upstart. At the age of sixteen, Vika, while working in the theater, goes to the studio at Gnesinka to get a musical education and prove to her ill-wishers that she will become a professional actress!

The Nepara group was created in 2002 by Alexander Shoua and Victoria Talyshinskaya. The author of the music in some cases was Alexander Shoua. A year later, their debut album “Another Family”[1] was released, which included their song “Autumn” (music by Bobby Hebb - lyrics by Karen Kavaleryan), a Russian-language cover version of the well-known hit “Sunny”, first performed in the mid-1960s by him the legitimate author, Bobby Hebb, but in Russia known for the disco version of the group “Boney M.” In 2012, Alexander Shoua decided to start a solo career, and the group broke up[2]. However, already in 2013 the duo reunited[1][3].
In 2013, the group members admitted that for some time they were involved in a romantic relationship[4]. In 2020, at the Comedy Club, Alexander announced that the Nepara group no longer existed and that he had taken up a solo career, however, in 2020, the group gave concerts at Avtoradio in February, at Shore House on July 25, 2019, in Miraclub (Mytishchi) on May 18, at the group concert “Big Spring Festival “Stars of Russian Radio” and at Vegas City Hall on March 7. The concert at Sunflowers Art and Food in Moscow on September 14, 2019, according to one of the websites, was cancelled. On September 13, 2020, at the NSN press conference, the closure of the Nepara project was officially announced. On the same day, the premiere of the video clip “Stop Me” and the release of Alexander Shoua’s solo album took place.
Work at the Lechaim Theater
She really was too modest and uptight. Long beautiful legs, an angelic face and a pleasant voice were not enough to become a real artist. Kasyura believed in his protégé and immediately gave Victoria several leading roles. She later recalled the beginning of her theatrical career: “The data is there, yes, but the sensuality that was necessary was zero. My partner said: “Vika, understand the role, respond, after all, you are a woman!” And I... The child, I’m sorry, I haven’t even kissed you even once.” Gradually, according to her, she “uninhibited”, became more relaxed.
Her colleagues later said that Vika was not at all spoiled by such a sharp rise, they said about her: “She came to us without pathos, without arrogance, and remained that way.” And the singer herself now states with a smile that working in the theater helped her understand that she really is attractive. At school, she said, the boys didn’t pay attention to the “thin gosling with skinny legs.” “I was very tall, uptight, shy, and only my mother thought I was beautiful,” Vika sighs, recalling her childhood years. But my mother, Larisa Belskaya, had the opposite opinion: “There are dozens of stories when tall girls at school were not popular, and then grew into beauties, grow up and make sure that you are just such a case.”
Do you think the parents were delighted with the news that their daughter became a theater soloist? But what about a prestigious school with a focus on English? The performance at Avtoradio in 2019 is perhaps the last in the life of the group, although even at the Comedy Club show a year earlier, Alexander mentioned that the group no longer exists. The cause of the collapse was again internal conflicts, and the initiative again belonged to the man.
“The news was not well received by the entire team, although the musicians who stayed with me said that they would follow me wherever needed. When a plant stops growing and begins to deteriorate, it must be treated, and when it cannot be treated, it is simply removed and a new one is planted.”
It was rumored that Talyshinskaya was not satisfied with the level of the musicians, and she began to prepare a way for retreat.
"Nepara" - Just hello
Alexander accused Victoria of “riding on someone else’s hump”: without saying a word, she was going to buy all the songs for 20 million rubles. And this despite the fact that the authorship does not belong to her, “Nepara” is his reflection, and Talyshinskaya is only a decoration, and she no longer has the voice she used to have. In an interview with Muz-TV, he hinted that a prosperous life does not motivate Vika to grow professionally and achieve something new.
Showa managed to come to an agreement with the producer: Oleg Nekrasov gave up both the brand and the duet’s repertoire for a symbolic 10 thousand rubles. Now the musician is looking for a new partner, not like the previous soloist. In September 2019, his solo album “Stop Me” was released.

It turned out that Eldar is cheating on his beautiful wife, and constantly! Vika left her husband, but he knocked on the threshold of her house every day, begging her to make peace. And here it is, the fateful moment: once again, having made peace, he and his friends go to the club where Alexander Shoua sings. Another not very pleasant event happened at that time for the singer - the Lechaim Theater was closed. It’s a shame, but she was immersed in family problems, thinking about whether Eldar would keep his word this time that “on the side - no, no.” The friends with whom the couple came to the club invited Vika to go on stage and sing a duet with Showa.
An incredibly beautiful, tall girl with an amazing figure appeared on stage. Alexander looked at her skeptically: she’s a beauty, yes, but can she sing? And she, it turns out, knew the words to songs from his repertoire. All evening the couple (the future "Nepara", pardon the pun) sang and sang, and the whole club applauded the spontaneous duet. This is how Victoria’s friend, musician Sergei Nedzelsky, recalled that moment: “They sang great, but if someone had told me that Sasha and Vika would perform together for so many years, I would not have believed it. They sang gorgeously, but no one perceived that chance meeting as something more, promising.”
A few days later, Alexander found Victoria and invited her to perform again, officially as a duet. They both consider February 12, 2002 the official date of the creation of the group. This was their first (and successful, with a full hall) performance at the “Cream of Society” club on Barrikadnaya. Why is there a full hall, since they weren’t a group then, they never performed? It turns out that the spontaneous singing was recorded by friends, distributed among acquaintances, who in turn gave the recordings to others to listen to. More to say, the song “Another Reason” even hit the radio before their first concert.
And Eldar Talyshinsky did not give up hope of making peace with Victoria. He resigned himself to the fact that his wife (already almost ex-wife) would perform in a duet with Alexander, although, as friend Zhanna Titova said, “his nodules playing from nerves showed that he was freaking out.” Eldar even wrote the lyrics to the song “Fork,” which was no less successful than “Another Reason.” A year later, Alexander and Vika released their debut album, which immediately went platinum, and the songs instantly took first place in all the charts, it was the disc “Another Family”.
At the first performances, Talyshinskaya and Shoua were introduced to the public by their last names, but they could not find a name for the duet. The disc is about to be released, so why not print only the names on the cover? The musicians, backing vocalists Alexander (and now Vicky) also puzzled over the name. And the existence of the group, despite the success of recordings and performances on stage, was constantly in question: Sasha and Vika, who sang perfectly, were so different in character that they were always fighting. During one quarrel at a rehearsal, one of the musicians exclaimed in their hearts: “How do you even sing together! You are absolutely not a couple!” Both liked the words “Not a Couple” so much that they decided to write them together, and so the name of the group was born.
They not only released CDs, but also shot videos, which were enthusiastically received by their fans on TV and on the Internet. And they, already recognizable and successful, continued to quarrel! “Sparks flew in all directions when they sorted things out during rehearsals!” – recalled Sergei Nedzelsky. And they recorded the songs in such a way that it was clear: the relationship between the soloists was oh so difficult. Moreover, Vika often became the instigator of conflicts; she was stronger in character than Sasha, and she wanted to defend her opinion even in small things.
This is how a trip to a restaurant with her husband turned into a new turn in Vika’s creative career. “Perhaps she was my karma,” Shoua will later say about this meeting and further work. Concerts all over the country, millions of views of their videos on the Internet, two more discs “All from the Beginning” and “Doomed, Betrothed” - year after year the Nepara group did not let their fans leave them. This continued until 2012, when, completely unexpectedly for Victoria, Sasha announced: he was tired of performing together and wanted to try himself as an independent singer.
They were able to survive without each other for just a year. Vika recalled: “I felt that soon we would sing together again, and it happened even earlier than I expected.” And Alexander said: “Victoria only had half a second to “digest” my proposal to sing together again, she agreed instantly!” It cannot be said that the temporary breakup hit the singer hard: she tried to sing solo, even recorded several videos where she performed songs in foreign languages. But “Nepara” was karma not only for Sasha - well, they could not exist as artists separately from each other!

The album “Another Family” was released quite recently, but in all music stores it takes pride of place on the largest shelf with the most important new releases. “Nepara” is being sold like hot cakes: it is a truly great album. It could have been even better if the arrangements had not used disco elements, since the music of “Nepara” itself has nothing to do with disco.

But the artists decided otherwise - it’s their right. The important thing is that these constant disco inserts (high violin passages, light guitar, sometimes even the harmony itself) do not look like carelessness or inability to create an arrangement. They look like a conscious move by the songwriters. And if they think that this is how it should be, this opinion must be respected. Although, in my opinion, a calmer sound would be more natural for such music.
The theme of the songs is generally the same as in the title “Another Reason” - as we would like, but it’s not possible. Oddly enough, I feel the effect of that theme even on my cynical and seemingly unsurprised soul. And if the problems of eighteen-year-olds have not touched me for a long time, then the problems that “Nepara” sings about, you know, have touched me. A rare fact.

There is also a very funny song on the album. This is a cover of the megahit “Boney M” “Sunny” called “Autumn”. Something tells me that this song is destined for a sweet and cloudless summer life.
The summary is simple. The album “Neparas” Another Family should definitely be purchased by anyone interested in Russian pop music. It's so rare now to hear something we haven't heard before. Even if this has never been heard before and is framed with hackneyed disco techniques, the melodies and lyrics of “Nepara” are worthy of all attention. Unless, of course, you are closer to thirty. I think young people are unlikely to be interested in all this. Young people simply won’t understand what we’re talking about.

The resounding success that was present at Vika and Sasha’s concerts in the early 2000s is no longer there, but they both have become older and calmer. Victoria experienced many pleasant and dramatic moments, she got married again, divorced again, but the Nepara group is still her favorite brainchild. And they no longer quarrel with Alexander as fiercely as before, this can be seen from the clips, from their performances on stage: the singer, like her partner, has become wiser and more balanced.

Before her first husband, Eldar Talyshinsky, the singer had one hobby, which, however, did not develop into a serious relationship and did not last long. She never mentioned the name of the young man, but said that she met him in Spain when she was seventeen years old. The strong love was mutual, but the fan simply “backpedaled” when the girl shared with him grandiose plans for her life: “I enthusiastically told him that I wanted to become a famous actress, I sing, but he was scared.” Then he tried to revive the relationship, but, as Vika said: “My love burned out, and I no longer needed it.”

In 2009, the Nepara group, during their next tour of the country, had a concert in Rostov, and there Vika met Stas Chepurov. Older again, and again a businessman, or, more to say, a banker! Neither the singer’s parents nor her friends liked him. Showa said: “He’s kind of fussy, he looks like the hero of a cheap pulp novel, he’s always talking on ten phones.” A close friend, too, seeing the groom in the photo, immediately said: “I have a feeling that this marriage will not end well.” The marriage lasted only three years, and although Vika’s mother had already openly hinted: it’s time to have a child, maybe you decide to have a child - the singer and banker Chepurov divorced.
The details of the divorce were heatedly discussed in the media: they said that businessman Chepurov had gone bankrupt, that he had fled abroad and from there was secretly selling his wife’s property and jewelry. She herself indignantly denied this gossip: “Complete nonsense! I know which way the wind is blowing: these were personal scores of one person who tried to take revenge on me, but I don’t want to touch his name.” Her other words about her second ex-husband: “We broke up for a simple reason: he’s a good person, but he’s not ripe for a family.” He rushed between family and business, and she wanted stability, a child, but not with such an unreliable husband.
