HammAli & Navai is a well-known rap group in the post-Soviet space, consisting of two members. The guys themselves are originally from Azerbaijan and currently live in Russia.

The childhood years of future companions were, to some extent, similar. Both Aliyev and Bakirov grew up as calm boys, and from school they began to become interested in art. Both actively participated in school amateur performances and sang in the school choir.

Both Alexander Aliyev and Navai Bakirov were lucky, because their childhood years passed happily. The musicians remember that time with warmth. In their senior year, the kids realized that they liked the attention of others. This is how the first desire appeared, to bask in the rays of glory. It is possible that already at this time they decided for themselves who they would be in adulthood.

The boys’ parents tried to give everyone an education that would help them live the same way as thousands of men of their nation around the world. But the future rappers decided to follow their dreams and devoted themselves to music so that people could listen to them.

Childhood and early years

Navai was born on April 2, 1993 in the city of Samara. The singer has Azerbaijani roots, so a significant part of his childhood was spent in Ganja, the third most populous city in Azerbaijan. The Bakirov family moved to Moscow for permanent residence when the boy was 10 years old.

Navai began to show interest in music and, in particular, rap while still in school, which did not go unnoticed by his parents and teachers. The talented teenager sang in choirs, took part in various events, and even then had success with, albeit a small, but still public.

His parents wanted to protect their son from the difficulties of an artist’s life and advised him to choose a more stable profession. Therefore, after graduating from school in 2010, the young man entered the Moscow Academy of Labor and Social Relations. Navai's youth was not cloudless - at one time he remained in Moscow without the support of his relatives.

The guy had to get a job at a pizzeria. Later, the future rapper managed to work as a tractor driver and taxi driver. At the same time, he never stopped dreaming about the stage and writing songs that touched the soul. Seeing their son’s great desire to engage in creativity, his parents supported him.

The first track, which can be found on the Internet, dates back to May 17, 2011 and belongs to the author Alexander Aliyev . It was called “ Love is not tender phrases .” The musician, commenting on his debut work, feared that listeners would not like the rough sound. However, his fears turned out to be in vain; the audience really liked the piece performed by the duo.

The next track turned out to be a piece called “ The Last Song ”. It appeared on October 2, 2011, and also belonged to the “pen” of Alexander Aliyev.

The debut video clip for the song “ Love is not tender phrases ” was presented to the public by HammAli , December 26, 2011, and immediately received a lot of positive feedback.

After the release of the video, more than six months passed before HammAli presented his next song to fans of his work. This happened on June 2, 2012, and the work was called “ The Law of Love .”

The first joint song HammAli & Navai was recorded on June 29, 2020. The rap community appreciated the track “ A Day on the Calendar ”. The guys, inspired by good reviews, recorded their second joint work on January 11, 2017. The song was called “ I Don’t Want to Fly .” Five days later, another song premiered, called “ Love is a Cold .”

Less than a month later, fans of the HammAli & Navai learned about the release of the next track, called “ You are my chemistry .” A month later, the premiere of the song “ Memory Cannot Be Destroyed ” took place.

On April 19, 2020, the track “ Fly Together rap artist BahhTee together with HammAli & Navai . In the last month of spring of the same year, the premiere of a song called “ Hello, how are you there anyway?” ".

On June 16, 2020, HammAli & Navai , called “ Headlights-Mists was published VK ,” and on July 1 of the same year, the track “Closing My Eyes” was released, on which, together with Alexander Aliyev and Navai Bakirov rapper JOZZY worked .

The next creation of the creative association HammAli & Navai was the track “ They are worthless ,” which was released on September 11, 2020. Two weeks later, the rappers pleased with another song, sung by the duet “ Diamond in the Mud .” Until the Morning was released . Personal life Navai

Little is known about the rapper's private life. He declares that he is not married and has no children, is focused on a strong, serious relationship, and does not want to waste time on fleeting hobbies. It is known that already at the age of 23 the singer earned money for an apartment in Moscow.

During the interview, Bakirov behaves modestly and simply, giving the impression of a reserved, well-mannered person. He recalled with a smile that at the beginning of his career he and Alexander were not allowed into one of the Moscow clubs. Just a couple of years later, they gave three sold-out concerts on the stage of this establishment.

The hosts of the “Handsome” show on Love Radio managed to find out that Navai suffers from claustrophobia and does not like to be photographed. In his free time, he enjoys reading. The last book that impressed him was Elizabeth Adler’s “Luck is a Woman.”

He enjoys watching films. Among his favorite films: “The Fault in Our Stars” (impressions after viewing formed the basis for the lyrics of the single “You are my chemistry”), “Moth”, “Green Book”.

He has a great sense of humor. In one of his interviews, he joked that he was jealous of Alexander Aliyev’s tall stature. According to Navai, their duet, due to the noticeable difference, “reminds Timon and Pumbaa.” The rapper is very touching about his mother. Recently he gave her an apartment.

Navai Bakirov’s emergence as a musician dates back to 2011. A year after arriving in Moscow, the young man understands that his soul requires creative development and fame. It was then that the first track “I didn’t lie” was published on his VKontakte page. At the same time, the man came up with a pseudonym for himself, consonant with the name - Navai.

The beat for the rapper's first composition was recorded by Alexey Bulgakov, who is better known in the musical community as Mikkey Vall. Despite his young age, this beatmaker also worked with other Russian stars, including L'One, Zammer, Basota and others.

Navai's close friends supported him in developing his musical career. These are Alexander Aliyev, known under the pseudonym HammAli, and Bakhtiyar Aliyev, Bakirov more than once called him his teacher and brother.

At the same time, the young man is making attempts to create a duet and for this he begins the search for a second rapper. But he didn’t manage to find the right person right away. However, already in May 2011, the rapper’s first public performance took place in a club in the capital.

In the summer of the same year, Navai tries to collaborate with other musicians. This experiment ended with the release of the song “Leave” with Gosha Mataradze. This increased the singer's popularity, but later his musical career was unstable.

Between 2012 and 2020, Bakirov recorded only 4 songs. The musician explains this by lack of inspiration and creative crisis. During this period, the intervals between the releases of new tracks could be from 2 months to several years. And only a duet with Alexander Aliyev, performing under the pseudonym HammAli (Hamali), helped the rapper to fully realize his potential.

The song “Day in the Calendar” became the first joint composition of the two rappers. It was released in the summer of 2020. Despite the creation of a creative duet, Navai continued to collaborate with other artists and in the spring of 2020 he pleased his fans with the release of the song “Fly Together,” which he recorded with Bakhtiyar Aliyev, and a little later a video was created for this song and presented on YouTube.
