Olga Koval. The story of my inspiration

Childhood and adolescence

Klava was born into a large, friendly creative family from Yekaterinburg. My father collected records with recordings of outstanding world performers, my mother sang well and played the piano.

Klava Koka in childhood

Klava, her younger sister Lada and older brother Leva were surrounded by music since childhood, which became an important part of their lives. They grew up listening to the songs of Queen, Whitney Houston, Frank Sinatra and The Bealtes. Klava herself recalled that she loved very different music: she liked “Ranetki”, “Tokio Hotel”, “Green Day” and even Justin Bieber. At the age of four, her parents sent Claudia to a music school, where she learned to play the piano and sang in the choir. The teachers highly appreciated the girl’s vocal abilities, and soon Klava became the soloist of the city jazz group. While still very young, she traveled with the choir halfway across the country and performed abroad several times.

The plot of a retro musical tape

The events take place back in 1950 in Leningrad, where a sophisticated Pole with French roots, Claudia Koval, arrived. The purpose of her visit is to enter a university at the Faculty of Psychology. Deep down, the girl still dreams of singing, sees herself on the big stage, strewn with flowers and compliments.

Having gotten a little comfortable in an unfamiliar city, Claudia joined the choir, led by the talented and charming composer Pavel Shakhovsky. His students and close friends call him Pal Palych. After a short conversation with Koval, the man realizes that he has found a soloist for his vocal and instrumental ensemble “Planet”.

Soon a spark runs between Pavel and Claudia and a romance breaks out. Shakhovsky, even more inspired by the surging feelings, undertakes to create a national pop star out of his beloved girl.

Only Pal Palych did not imagine how his efforts would turn out. Whether the creative personalities will be able to maintain their relationship, or whether they will have to sacrifice their own happiness for the sake of their career, TV viewers will find out after watching 13 episodes of the melodrama “A Star Is Born.”

First steps to glory

The girl herself mastered 7 musical instruments, after which she began recording covers of the songs of her idols, then it was the turn of her own compositions, which Claudia willingly shared with Internet users. At the age of 14, she recorded her first hit, the song “Cuz I see.”

Klava Koka recorded her first song at the age of 12

At the same time, she took part in various competitions and music festivals, and also acted in extras and advertising, and participated in city musical events.

Klava Koka before becoming famous

After graduating from school, Claudia decided to move to Moscow to enter VGIK, but she did not get one point for the budget and failed. Failure did not dampen the ardor of the ambitious girl; she took the documents to the Academy of National Economy under the President of the Russian Federation and became a student at the Faculty of Civil Service and Management. But music and creativity still remained a priority.

Klava Koka participated in popular music competitions

In 2012, Klava reached the finals of the “I am an Artist” competition, followed by participation in the “Factor A” competition (analogous to the foreign show “Factor X” with Alla Pugacheva on the jury). She did not achieve victory, but she made the most favorable impression on the jury members and entered the top six participants. Klava Koka on the show “Factor X. Main Stage 2” In 2020, the 19-year-old girl recorded her debut studio album “Cousteau” of eight songs and took part in the competition “X Factor. Main stage 2". Klava sang two songs: “My Wanderer” by Irina Allegrova and “I will never forget you” by Vladimir Kuzmin. And if the jury, including Allegrova herself, received the first song with a bang, then they reacted coolly to the second. Diana Arbenina, Nikolai Noskov, Valery Leontyev and even Irina Allegrova, who had praised Claudia a little earlier, told her “no”.

At the final concert, Klava presented the song “Space Ranger”, which captivated all the judges of the competition - Nathan, Christina Sy, Walter, label director Pasha, and creative director of Black Star Viktor Abramov. Winning the competition came as a surprise to her - the girl had long doubted that her country-pop style would fit into the label, which brought together promising hip-hop and rap artists under its banner. Claudia admitted that Black Star does not force her creativity into a framework. She continues to develop her style, which is often compared to the work of American country-pop singer Taylor Swift.

She spent several months in the hospital. At first she was treated with chitin, which caused Klava’s hearing to become weak. Then the doctors prescribed penicillin. This time she developed an allergy. The young actress was also diagnosed with a heart defect.

With such a bouquet of ailments, one could forget about further studies and filming. However, Klavdiya Khabarova did not give up. In 1950 she became a graduate of VGIK. Then she got a job at the newly opened Film Actor's Theater.

Vlog

After that, the popularity of her vlog on YouTube grew exponentially. Her video with Luis Fonsi, performer of the incendiary Despacito, received almost a million views in a short time. But the absolute record holder on Koki’s channel was the video for the song “If ...”, performed together with Olga Buzova, which was watched by about two million people in a matter of days. Klava Koka - “If ...” Soon, viewers of her blog had two favorite columns: “Klava Translate” (adaptation of foreign songs into Russian) and “Kokapella” - songs without musical accompaniment, with a beat created by her own voice. Listeners really loved her cover of the 2020 hit – “Pink Wine” by Feduk.

last years of life

In his last years, the writer completed work on his most ambitious work, “Suer-Vier,” which he began back in 1955. He considered it his main creation. It was published in its entirety posthumously; previously only excerpts were published on the pages of magazines. In 1996, the work was awarded the international Wanderer Prize. Afterwards I wrote fairy tales, but did not have time to complete the book “Kuklakat”. The writer’s plans also included writing memoirs about his friend A. Tarkovsky. Yuri Iosifovich died at home in Moscow from a heart attack. The writer was married twice, had a daughter and a son.

Koval in his workshop

During his life, Yuri Iosifovich created an extensive bibliography. In 2008, the magazine “Murzilka” established the Koval Prize. Films are still made based on his works. The writer himself participated as an actor in two films and wrote 13 scripts. Three documentaries were published about his life. In addition, Koval was a talented artist. At the end of the 50s, he worked in the sculpture workshop and in the art studio of B. Chernyshev. Koval’s works have been included in exhibitions more than once; there have also been personal exhibitions. Yuri Iosifovich often illustrated books.

Personal life of Klava Koka

Until recently, Claudia preferred not to talk about her personal life. But the singer’s new video for the song “Sorry” was recently released, dedicated to her loved one, Dmitry Kuryshkin, whom she has been dating, according to fans, since 2013. Family and children are not yet part of the ambitious girl’s immediate plans; now she is completely absorbed in creativity and does not see herself as a married lady until she is thirty.

Filming a musical film

Before starting to create the series, the team of production designers studied publications, photographs, and chronicles of the 50-60s of the twentieth century. After much debate, they decided to build the location in a 19th century merchant mansion on Bolshaya Konyushennaya. Here, decorators recreated the 6-room communal apartment of captain first rank Shakhovsky and the singer’s apartment. The Lenconcert building and the conservatory are also located there.

An equally difficult task faced the stylists of the project, who had to make the main character a bob from Marina Alexandrova’s mop of long hair. The actress played her first takes wearing wigs, trying to choose the best option. The producers even insisted on a haircut, but Alexandrova was adamant.

As a result, the hairdressers were able to style the hair and create a realistic bob out of it. The look was complemented with sophisticated makeup in the style of Grace Kelly.

According to some reports, the prototype of the main character of the series “A Star Born” was the great artist Edita Piekha. Later, the creators abandoned the original idea of recreating the image of the singer on the screen. The result was a collective image of the stars of that time. The singer herself did not like the resemblance to the heroine of the series on the Russia channel.

Vintage cars that drove around the streets were rented from collectors and showrooms. All of them are in working order. Soviet tape recorders, microphones, and gramophone records complemented the atmosphere of the 50s and 60s. The heroine of Marina Alexandrova in the series sings bewitchingly in the voice of folk singer Irina Surina.

Early years

Yuri Iosifovich was born in Moscow into the family of a policeman and a doctor. His father led the capital's search, his mother worked as the chief physician of a clinic for mental patients near Moscow. Yuri had an older brother, Boris; his childhood years were spent mostly in Polivanovo, where his mother worked.

Already at school, as entertainment, the boy began to compose poems with his classmates. In 1955, he entered the pedagogical institute in Moscow in the literary department, which was later renamed the historical and philological department. During his studies, among his friends were Yu. Vizbor, Yu. Kim, P. Fomenko and others. As a student he began to write stories. The first of them, “Rain” and “Hare”, appeared on the pages of the university newspaper “Lenivets” in 1956; the author received a prize for his work.

Singer career

In 1928 the debut took place at the Mariinsky Theater, and in 1929 at the Moscow Music Hall. The capital's audience listened to her songs with bated breath, and the flurry of applause continued for a long time.

Shulzhenko worked at the Leningrad Music Hall, sang two songs in the play “Conditionally Killed” to the music of Shostakovich. The singer collaborated with Skomorovsky’s jazz orchestra in the 1930s. Her repertoire included the songs “Andryusha”, “Hands”, “Mama” and others. Klavdia Shulzhenko's songs of that period were openly lyrical and at one time they were even banned from being performed for political reasons.

Klavdia Ivanovna began performing folk Ukrainian, Russian, Spanish, and Latin American songs. “Chelita” and “Simple Girl”, in the wake of promoting the friendship of peoples, completely suited the government in terms of political aspects, but the public perceived them as songs about peers, about love, friendship and youth. Critics scolded her for being melodramatic, but people loved her unconditionally; queues lined up for Shulzhenko’s first gramophone records.

In 1939, the singer became a laureate of a pop artist competition, her records are produced in large quantities, and her photos are published in the magazine “Soviet Art”; a jazz orchestra was organized in Leningrad especially for Klavdia Ivanovna.

When the war began, Shulzhenko was on tour in Yerevan. Klavdia Ivanovna and her husband joined the army, and their jazz orchestra received front-line status. The artists gave more than 500 concerts during the war, performing in besieged Leningrad, on the Road of Life, on the front line, under shelling. Two musicians from Shulzhenko's troupe died in Leningrad from exhaustion.

In 1942, after a performance, Mikhail Maksimov approached Klavdia Ivanovna and offered to perform a song of his own composition. It was the legendary "Blue Handkerchief". Shulzhenko’s soulful performance, popular motif and soulful lyrics made this song famous and truly popular.

In 1943, Klavdia Shulzhenko’s jazz orchestra toured the Caucasus and Central Asia; starting in the summer of 1945, the singer began performing solo. The discography of Claudia Ivanovna Shulzhenko (including recordings released during the singer’s lifetime) includes about two dozen records. Her repertoire includes hundreds of songs, collaborations with famous composers and musicians, singers and performers. The performer’s most favorite songs were “Waltz about a Waltz”, “Silence”, “Friends and Fellow Soldiers”, “Letter to Mother”, “School Waltz” and others.

Personal life

Our heroine married once and for great love. Her chosen one was actor Pavel Springfeld (half German, half Russian).

In 1959, the couple had a daughter, who was named Evdokia. Pavel and Claudia surrounded the baby with attention and care. Unfortunately, family happiness did not last long. In 1971 (October 2), actor Springfeld died of heart failure.

Evdokia Khabarova has grown up a long time ago. She received two higher educations - at Moscow State Pedagogical Institute. Lenin and at VGIK (film studies department). She was engaged in publishing activities.

Growing up and participating in TV shows

When Klava was in 5th grade, the family moved to live in Yekaterinburg. There the girl’s development as a person began. After graduating from school, she decided to enroll in an automobile and road traffic college, although she soon dropped out without receiving a diploma. Already at the age of 18 I decided to have my first plastic surgery. Her mother sponsored her daughter's operation, giving her money as a birthday present. Klava enlarged her breasts and pumped up her lips.

In February 2020, Klavdiya Bezverkhova could be seen as part of the “Let's Get Married” show. Presenter Larisa Guzeeva and Roza Syabitova noticed that Natalya Bezverkhova looks no older than her daughter. At the end of the show, Klava chose one of the suitors of the project, however, their relationship did not work out in the future.

Already in the summer of the same year, Claudia could be seen among the participants in the show “House 2”. It’s interesting that the girl came to the TV production in the company of her mother, who received an offer from the participants to stay on the project as well.

If at first Klava did not make much of an impression on the male audience of the clearing, then later Sergei Zakharyash became interested in her. Claudia herself wanted to be with Fedor Strelkov, but he immediately made her understand that they had no future. Mom helped her daughter find her soul mate by coming to the project from time to time.

After a number of unsuccessful attempts to interest men, Bezverkhova switched to Nikita Umansky. Her efforts were not in vain, because soon the guys declared themselves a couple. Klava acted wisely and forbade her mother to interfere in their union. Afterwards it became clear that Natalya Bezverkhova wanted not only to arrange her daughter’s personal life, but also to invite herself to the show of her new husband. In the past, she had 4 broken marriages, and the woman prefers young spouses.

Klava had difficulties in his relationship with Nikita. It turned out that Umansky was secretly corresponding with another girl whom he wanted to see on the project. An expensive gift in the form of a diamond pendant was able to assuage resentment, but even this did not help Klava and Nikita build a strong relationship.

In 2020, Berverkhova became a participant in the new reality project “Soldiers”. She was one of 12 girls who will learn to throw grenades and handle military weapons. On the project she will show all her sides of character. Klava herself notes that she is too kind to people, and her negative traits highlight selfishness, narcissism and narcissism. She did not hide the fact that she was participating in the show solely for the purpose of PR, as she wanted to build a stellar career in the future.
