Actress Olga Efremova: I love Baku for its strong energy... (photo, video)
One of Olga’s most notable works happened this summer in Dima Bilan’s video “Drunk Love,” which became a hit on the network. In an interview with Moscow-Baku
Olga Efremova spoke about her family, filming with Bilan, as well as about Azerbaijan, where her relatives live.
— Dima Bilan’s video “Drunken Love” became a hit. You have a bright role as a bridesmaid there. How was the shooting?
— This video was made by my close friends: director Dasha Charusha and her co-author, the ideological inspirer of the video, Sasha Gudkov. His name “in the credits” says a lot. He is an incredible creator, one of the top showmen and best writers on television. I immediately agreed to filming, I especially liked that this clip was outside the template.
— Have you ever been to such a “revelry” wedding?
- Honestly, no. ( Laughs
.) But I would go to such an event as an immersive performance!
( Involvement theater, where every viewer is a full participant in the action
-
editor's note
.)
— In what other projects can you be seen in the near future?
— In the fall, the immersive performance “The Shadow” based on Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” will start. The production will take place in the mansion. Spectators of such theatrical action take part in what is happening. The performance has a lot of dancing, music, as you may have guessed, this is a modern interpretation of the most important play of all times...
— Several years ago you left Russia, traveled around the world and lived in different countries. Why did you decide to move?
— I am a man of peace, definitely. It’s not my nature to sit in one place, so I went in search of myself and changed places of residence. I believe that someday borders will be erased, visas will be abolished and people will be able to travel freely. I strive to achieve certain opportunities and live where I want.
— Have you already been to Azerbaijan?
- Yes! I have been to Azerbaijan several times already. Our relatives live in Baku, I really love this city for its appearance and strong energy. And how I love local kutabs! ( Smiles.
) There can be nothing tastier in the world than kutabs with pumpkin, the most delicious in Baku!
— Your husband is Italian, but you also left Italy...
— It’s good to vacation in Italy, but at some point I realized that I was in the wrong world, because I didn’t choose the place of residence. The country lives according to a certain pattern, according to a schedule, which it was difficult for me to fit into. I gave birth to my son Arseny, my husband and I lived there for several years, but I decided to return to Moscow. And then, it’s easier for me to continue to develop as an actress here, although I know Italian and I don’t exclude the possibility that I will act in Italian films.
— Your son Arseny was brought up in two cultures, probably already speaks two languages?
— He spoke Russian and Italian, Arseny is bilingual ( Bilingual is a person who has two native languages
-
editor's note
) and that's wonderful! The child spends time in Russia and Italy. His father and I broke up, but remained friends. Alessandro often comes to Moscow, we didn’t manage to live together, but the most important thing is that we are raising our son with love and respect.
