Actor Alexey Buldakov has died: biography, personal life, family, Wikipedia

Biography

Alexey Buldakov was born into a simple large family of a driver and a milkmaid. The mother took care of the children mainly. The actor recalls: “She basically raised us all, somehow she found the time. I have two sisters and three brothers. The brothers now live in Pavlodar, both are drivers. One sister works as an accountant, the other as a warehouse manager. Mom worked almost all her life. It was a bit difficult."

However, the parents found time to raise their children, which the actor confirms in one of his interviews: “They were wonderful people - they gave us an excellent upbringing, and from a young age they taught us to do everything around the house ourselves. This is how I am to this day: I can build, cook, clean, and wash.”

Alexey grew up in Pavlodar, as his family moved there. He was an ordinary street boy, practiced classical wrestling and boxing, enjoyed tinkering with cars with his father, and loved to design something. And his path to art lay through the cinema. The artist later shared: “Until the eighth grade, I dreamed of being a military pilot. I went to a club and made gliders. But I really loved cinema. If two cinemas were nearby, then I took a ticket for one showing, watched, crossed the road and went to another cinema. I could watch it for days. And just as I watched “Big Life” with Pyotr Aleinikov, that’s all. I decided to become an actor."

The young man entered the Youth Theater Studio at the Pavlodar Drama Theater named after Chekhov after school. And in 1969 he was accepted into the troupe of the same theater, which was considered one of the best among provincial groups in the country. The acting career of the future star began here.

However, Buldakov was soon drafted into the army. For Alexey, like for many of his peers, service was an honorable duty. “It seems to me that every young man should serve in the army. Previously, if you were not taken into the army, it was a shame. Like this? Are you sick or what? No girl will go with you! The army turns mama’s boys into men,” the actor emphasizes.

Three stations."

And I couldn’t live without the stage for six months, so I returned. Later, while in creative search, he played in theaters in Karaganda and Ryazan. At that time, Alexey was an artist in the troupe of the Film Actor Theater. The woman had a daughter, Nastya, from her first marriage. They got married in 1985, but soon divorced.

In December 1993, Alexey married another Lyudmila, whom he met while visiting friends. The woman was a teacher by training, but decided to open a shoe store and took the place of commercial director. Cinema

The actor made his film debut in 1982 in Leonid Marychev’s film “Through the Fire.” Later there were: “Semyon Dezhnev” by Nikolai Gusarov, “Two steps from “PARADISE” by Timur Zoloev, “In the forests near Kovel” by Yuri Tupitsky, “Confrontation” by Semyon Aranovich.

Alexey says about the beginning of his film career: “I lived in a hostel for two, or even three quarters of my life. Minsk, Ryazan, Tomsk, Karaganda, St. Petersburg... St. Petersburg is the alma mater of my cinematic activity. There I started acting, most of my films were made at Lenfilm...”

The artist had the opportunity to play in detective stories, dramas, comedies, military adventure and historical films, but he was given mostly episodic roles that did not promise popularity.

During the period of his professional development, Buldakov faced serious trials: wandering around hostels, prolonged unemployment, fainting from hunger, spending the night at airports and train stations. “I became homeless already in Moscow. Probably, it was these trials that made me a real actor who has seen the difficult Russian life,” the artist admits. “After all, I played whoever - partisans, foremen, sailors, policemen, and criminals...”

"Peculiarities of the National Hunt"

The actor came to wide fame in 1995 with the release of Alexander Rogozhkin’s adventure comedy “Peculiarities of the National Hunt.” The film is about how a purely male company led by an army general goes to a remote forest cordon to hunt. To begin with, he is offered a drink, and then he finds himself, together with Russian hunters, in all sorts of comic situations that can arise during a hunt.

Alexey Buldakov played one of the main roles in the film. His Mikhalych - a general in camouflage with a cigar butt in his teeth - became the artist’s calling card. About his character, he says: “The role of the general both exalted me and tripped me up, because it seemed that I had reached my creative peak. I starred with many wonderful directors who, thank God, saw me as more than just a general. So there are roles that I’m proud of.”

The film was awarded many awards, including Kinotavr-95 and Golden Ostap, and Alexey Buldakov received the Nika Award for his role. General Ivolgin, as portrayed by him, undoubtedly fell in love with the viewer, and the hero’s remarks literally became quotable.

Three years later, the second picture of Alexander Rogozhkin’s cycle “about the Russian soul” was released: “Peculiarities of National Fishing”, and two years later the same characters again “went hunting”, only this time in the winter. In the films, the actor's ensemble included: Ville Haapasalo, Viktor Bychkov, Semyon Strugachev, Sergei Kupriyanov, Sergei Gusinsky, Sergei Russkin, Yuri Kuznetsov and others.

In 2003, the director continued working with the viewer’s favorite General Ivolgin, creating Peculiarities of National Politics.

The actor became very popular. Several full-length films and TV series were released a year with his participation. He starred in the detective story “Urgent to the Room” with Yaroslav Boyko and Olga Pogodina, in the family film by Yuri Stytskovsky “Evening Tale”, played a homeless man in the film “Moscow. Three stations”, the authority of Garik in Alla Surikova’s comedy “The Man from Capucino Boulevard”.

One of the actor’s latest film works is Vladimir Bortko’s project “Soul of a Spy” based on the novel “And Hell Followed Him” by Soviet intelligence officer Mikhail Lyubimov. The events described in the film were brought into modern times by the director. The film stars together with Buldakov: Andrei Chernyshov, Marina Alexandrova, Fyodor Bondarchuk, Daniil Spivakovsky and other famous artists.

Movies

Alexey Buldakov first appeared on screen when he took part in the filming of the children's humorous newsreel "Yeralash". Later he was invited to star in the film “Through the Fire.” The colorful “peasant” texture of Alexei Ivanovich turned out to be very popular, and viewers saw him in a number of paintings, the most striking of which are “Neverbelievable”, “Here is my village...”, “For the sake of a few lines”, “Ice Flowers”, “Burnt by the Sun” .

Buldakov himself remembers his work on the film “Who Lives in Rus'” about a front-line soldier who, in civilian life, repeatedly ends up in jail because he does not obey circumstances and shows excessive intemperance.

The artist’s childhood dream of heaven came true in Vladimir Menshov’s comedy “Shirley Myrli,” where he starred as an airplane pilot.

Anna Sherling and Alexey Buldakov (still from the series “Forester”)

Alexey showed a desire for simplicity and a desire to reflect reality on the screen, rather than wild scenario fantasies, when he began filming the series “Forester.” For the filmmakers, according to the actor, the remote Russian village looked like the epicenter of the criminal world. And Buldakov suggested filming ordinary life.

“But whoever pays calls the tune.”

Alexey Buldakov became truly famous after the release of the famous comedy film “Peculiarities of the National Hunt” in 1995. The image of General Ivolgin, a seasoned Russian peasant, was so beloved by the audience that the director of the film decided to make a sequel, and sequels appeared about the peculiarities of politics, winter hunting and fishing. This role, according to film critics, is the best in the creative biography of Alexei Ivanovich.

After its release, the comedy gained phenomenal popularity. The film, produced at the Lenfilm film studio by director Alexander Rogozhkin, receives the prestigious Nika Award for best feature film, best director and best actor. The latter goes to Buldakov.

Based on the film, some television viewers concluded that Mikhalych is an extraordinary person. He is a big fan of feasts, Russian baths, and also speaks foreign languages and plays the piano. The story did not advertise which military unit the general commanded or which specific branch of the military he belonged to. In the next part of the comedy film “Peculiarities of National Fishing,” Ivolgin again becomes the main character.

National fame and love did not spoil the actor. For fans, Alexey Buldakov is associated with the character. The catchphrase is “Well, damn it!” actually accompanied him through life, and the toasts went among the people, becoming an invariable attribute of any feast: “For understanding!”, “For reason!”, “Well, for art!”

These projects made the actor famous, but at the same time, the role of Mikhalych left an imprint on the life of Alexei Ivanovich. Until his last days, people approached him with offers of a drink and a toast. In an interview, Buldakov said that after the release of “Features...” fans literally followed him, called him to the table, waited for him after shows and performances. They were offended and upset when they received a refusal, but did not become impudent and kept their distance.

In the fall, the film actor came to Anapa for Kinoshock, specially choosing an early time, when there were no vacationers on the beach, to swim in the sea quietly and unnoticed. But still, people often came up, took autographs, and took pictures. Alexey Ivanovich was not angry at all, he calmly paid for his acting fame.

Residents of Russia note the similarity of the character Alexei Buldakov with the statesman and military figure of those times, Lieutenant General Alexander Lebed. The actor once said that during a meeting with a Russian military leader he asked what he thought about the film “Peculiarities of the National Hunt.” According to Buldakov, Lebed initially called the character a mockery of himself, but soon he specially bought the tape and watched the film. At one point I almost burst into tears - I was so similar to Ivolgin.

The role of a strong village man, a reliable defender, a kind of “father battalion commander” was firmly attached to Alexey Ivanovich. Helping him to become (height - 177 cm) and the appearance of not a Hollywood handsome man. But Buldakov’s heroes have something more significant and touching - spiritual warmth, inner purity and a peculiar, rough sense of humor. Perhaps that is why he mostly got roles in films of the comedy genre.

In this capacity, the actor showed himself in the first decade of the new century in the films “Operation “Happy New Year””, “Plot”, “Soldiers”, “Park of the Soviet Period”, “Hitler Kaput!”, “The Man from the Boulevard des Capucines”.

Alexey Buldakov and Andrey Krasko (still from the TV series “Plot”)

Buldakov had a great desire to star in a film where viewers and fans of his talent could see a new, unusual image of the artist. Alexey Ivanovich even named the name of the hero in whose guise he would like to appear - this is Beethoven. The actor claimed that he had been worried about the composer’s fate for a long time. This is not only the story of a musical genius, but also a personal tragedy, because Beethoven all his life loved one single woman who was indifferent to him.

Another desirable character is Judas, the beloved disciple of Jesus Christ, who betrayed the one who trusted him immensely. Alexey was interested in the motives that push people to such diametrically opposed actions. In addition, parallels with today are visible:

“We have the same now - they will also receive money for Bolotnaya. The point is not even that they are selling their souls. But why sell the country? Did she do anything bad to you?”

In 2015, the adventure drama “Soul of a Spy” was released, where Buldakov’s partners were Armen Dzhigarkhanyan and Mikhail Efremov, Marina Alexandrova and Fyodor Bondarchuk, as well as world stars Sandrine Bonner and Malcolm McDowell.

Egor Kleimenov and Alexey Buldakov (still from the film “Gorchakov”)

In the action movie “Gorchakov,” Alexey had the opportunity to play a negative role - a member of a criminal group who stole an expensive medical drug. Hiding from persecution, the bandit finds refuge with the woman he once loved. The situation is complicated by the fact that the former passion raised their common son, who became a policeman.

Buldakov also played a role that does not evoke sympathy in the detective series “Stompers”. Here the artist appeared in the image of an experienced thief in law.

In the gallery of images of Alexey Ivanovich there is a colorful homeless man nicknamed Boba from the detective story “Moscow. Three stations." It was not particularly difficult for the actor to transform into a destitute actor, since in life Buldakov had to hang around train stations when there was neither home nor work.

Alexey Buldakov (still from the series “Stompers”)

His character in the film works part-time as an informant, and the hit turned out to be so accurate that real homeless people mistook the made-up celebrity for one of their own. True, an acquaintance, a general friend, having learned where Alexei had “slipped”, did not sleep at night, shocked by the news.

In recent years, the process of expanding the artist’s filmography has slowed down. In 2018, Alexey finished filming the trilogy “Eins, Zwei, Drei”, written and directed by Irina Lindt. The main role was played by Ivan Zolotukhin, the son of the actress and Valery Zolotukhin. The film talks about the search for a common language, including in the literal sense, a Russian teenager and a girl from Germany.

Vocals

Alexey Buldakov is known as a vocalist, although according to his admission: “In our family, no one had anything to do with art. I'm self-taught, everything is by ear. My first musical instrument is an accordion. In general, I used to often sing in plays. Somehow I even acted as a composer.”

In the late 1990s, he released a joint album with Vlad Zabelin, “Features of National Chanson.” The actor also collaborated with Evgeniy Bednenko’s group “Chorus”, which resulted in the release of a solo disc “Hugs Everyone”, which included specially written songs.

“I rarely praise myself, but some songs, it seems to me, turned out well,” the actor commented. “They were just written specifically for me.” On my character, on my foundation. Anatoly Poperechny wrote the poems, and composer Evgeny Bednenko wrote the music. People often ask me now, why did I suddenly start singing? I’ve been singing for a long time, since school. Then the fashion was for bards and the Beatles. I remember the boys and I sat on benches in the evenings, strummed guitars, sang “The Beatles,” which drove those around us crazy.”

In February 2011, the actor’s new disc “Old Tango” was released, where he, together with his wife Lyudmila, sang songs by Evgeniy Bednenko to the poems of Dmitry Zdraevsky, accompanied by the group “Horus”.

Biography of Alexey Buldakov

Alexey Ivanovich Buldakov is a Russian actor and singer, familiar to viewers primarily for his comedy roles, especially as General Ivolgin from the series of films “Peculiarities of the National...”, whose apt phrases have long been scattered into quotes. But the talent of the people's artist, who achieved fame at an already advanced age, is not limited to comedic roles. For example, in 2011 he became part of the cast of the popular detective series “Forester”.

Personal life

Alexey Buldakov was married twice. His first chosen one was the daughter of the People's Artist of the Belarusian SSR Pavel Vasilyevich Kormunin, Lyudmila. They met at the theater in Minsk, where Alexey arrived from Leningrad. Lyudmila, also an actress by training, worked as an administrator there. But Alexey and Lyuda were married for only a year and a half. The actor had a very hard time with the divorce and believed that he would never marry again.

However, a few years later, Buldakov met the woman of his dreams - ironically, also Lyudmila. This happened at one of the parties of Alexei’s friend, actor Vladimir Novikov. The artist admits: “Everything developed so calmly for my wife and I, there were no stormy meetings, passions, or romances. We got along so easily. I was lonely, and so was she...” After living in a civil marriage for about a year, the young couple legalized their relationship. Buldakov’s second wife turned out to be the complete opposite of the first; she is a teacher by training, and at the time she met the actor, she worked as the director of a shoe store. Now, according to the artist, he has a rear, a place to retreat and a place to return to.

Personal life of Alexey Buldakov

Buldakov lived with his first wife, actress Lyudmila Kormunina, daughter of actor Pavel Kormunin, for only two years. Their relationship was destroyed by the hostility of the mother-in-law, with whom the young couple were forced to live under the same roof; the wife did not like Alexei’s frequent departures for filming.

Alexey Buldakov and his first wife

Feelings quickly cooled, and soon Buldakov started an affair with the director’s assistant. She gave birth to a son, Ivan, after which Alexey left his wife for the mother of his child. But when Buldakov went to Moscow for those ill-fated shoots that left him without a roof over his head, the woman fell in love with someone else and went to Malta with him. The next time Buldakov saw his son he was already a 16-year-old boy. The actor officially acknowledged his paternity and maintained friendly relations with the guy.

In Moscow, fate brought Buldakov together with the director of a shoe store, Lyudmila, who became his second wife and kind guardian angel for all subsequent years. At the time they met, Alexei was 42 and she was 35. The woman settled the poor provincial actor in her apartment, gave him money and firmly believed in his talent.

When Buldakov was diagnosed with cancer in 2020, it was Lyudmila who instilled in him faith in a positive outcome and insisted on speedy treatment. The actor defeated the disease and completely abandoned bad habits.

Interview

About Me

“I can say that I am a happy person. I have never envied anyone. Envy hinders a person and his movement in his own perspective. A person exchanges money when he wants to catch up and overtake. It’s not life that begins, but a competition...”

About the roles

“Each actor has his own kitchen. When I got a role, I was overcome with excitement, I began to think, fantasize, and then a moment came when I hated the role. This started after about a week of working on it. I just dropped everything and didn’t approach the script for several days. And then there’s a click, something happens, you’re riding on a trolleybus and suddenly you start saying the text. Then you come to your senses, you see that people are looking at you as if you were sick... And somehow an understanding of the role gradually comes. You open the script, and the make-up and character appear before you...”

About filming in advertising

“I don’t have a very good attitude towards advertising in general. He only starred in an advertisement for the Campomos sausage with Sadalsky. But the plot there was so funny, like in a detective film. I played a policeman, and Sadalsky played a bandit. In general, what haven’t they offered me to advertise - both butter and tomatoes... I say: write a script, if you’re interested, I’ll agree, otherwise I’ll just sit with a piece of sausage and say: “Delicious sausage for 2.80, wow!”... I’m categorically against this "

About the profession

“The acting profession is very cruel, especially in our time. Art is made by individuals, it does not tolerate dullness. I served in four provincial theaters, there were wonderful artists there. Wonderful! But I know a lot of tragedies, because lack of fulfillment embitters... Artists are vulnerable people, like children. Take a toy away from a child, and that’s it: tears, screaming. And the artists are the same. We are grown-up children."

Main roles

Despite the unique type of “Russian peasant”, what made the actor popular was the role of a general, not a peasant. The public liked the film so much that it received many sequels. Alexander Rogozhkin mercilessly exploited his favorite images, which, however, did not affect the quality of his work.

"Peculiarities of the National Hunt"

To see this film, it was worth visiting the film actor, but, according to the actor himself, he saw the work later. I just bought the cassette and at one point almost burst into tears, it was so bad. This is what Buldakov said about the role of General Ivolgin.

The prototype of the image was the general and politician Alexander Lebed. A man of few words, strong in character, who once told Alexander Ivanovich that he perceived the film as a mockery.

"Features of national fishing"

The film was a continuation of the first part, but it was about how a group of friends “have fun” while fishing. Buldakov again played General Ivolgin, and then said that this work devastated him. She simultaneously elevated and discouraged all desire to film. Alexey Ivanovich noted that after this film he had the feeling that he had reached a creative peak and could not play better.

“Features of national hunting in winter”

New characters were added to the film, played by other artists. It didn’t receive any prizes or awards, but it became a good continuation and completed the trilogy. The role of Mikhalych, a firm and calm general, with his succinct toasts, “played” a cruel joke on the artist. Buldakov said that fans watched over him after the film’s premiere, offering him a drink and sitting at the table. But Alexey refused.

His phrases: “Well, damn it, you give!”, “Well, for beauty!” - went to the people.

Ivan Semenovich and Evdokia Maksimovna gave birth to three sons and two daughters. From childhood, Alexey was accustomed to the fact that he had to work to get something, because life was not easy for such a large family. His father worked as a simple driver, and the Buldakovs counted every penny.

After some time, Alexey’s parents decided to move to Kazakhstan. The future actor's school years were spent in Pavlodar. He really wanted to become a test pilot, for the sake of this he tried to study well and played sports intensively, he especially liked boxing. In addition to the sports section, Alexey Buldakov enjoyed visiting the theater studio at the local drama theater. It was on this stage that the guy realized that he could not live without the theater.

Where else was it filmed?

The role of Ivolgin became iconic in the creative life of Alexei Ivanovich. After “Peculiarities of the National...” a lull began in the actor’s career. There were roles, but they turned out to be simple and primitive; working on them did not bring pleasure.

In a comedy film filmed in 1996, the character of Alexei Ivanovich ends up in the hospital with an injury. It turns out on the eve of the holidays in the company of patients, brilliantly played by Makovetsky and Yarmolnik.

"Soviet period park"

The film by Yuli Gusman tells about the life of an eminent journalist, tired of everyday life in a big city. Buldakov received the role of admiral.

"The Man from the Boulevard des Capucines"

This is a continuation of the famous film, in which the inimitable Andrei Mironov starred. According to the plot, Johnny Fest's granddaughter came to Russia with the desire to make a good movie.
