Biography
Natalia Lesnikovskaya was born and raised in the capital. Her mother was a mathematician by training and worked as a broker. Dad is an athlete, a master of sports in water skiing, and his younger brother Volodya chose the profession of a programmer.
Natasha was fond of drawing from early childhood. At the age of 4 she started doing rhythmic gymnastics. At the age of 6 she entered a music school to take a piano class.
Lesnikovskaya recalled how she came to acting: “As a child, I was quite reserved and closed. I had a lot of hobbies, I tried myself in different directions, including sports, but nothing really “caught” me. And only in the tenth grade, my friend took me to the theater studio, saying that they really needed girls. I tried it and fell in love with theater at first sight.”
After graduating from high school, the girl began studying actors at the Moscow Art Theater School and was preparing for entrance exams to creative universities: “Like many applicants, I tried to enter all theater universities in the capital. It was a very difficult time. I didn’t get in the first year, but I didn’t give up. It’s not in my nature to quit halfway towards my goal. Once at RATI I saw an advertisement that Gennady Khazanov was taking an acting course. I went there, and after the third round they told me that they would take me. I was happy!"
Natalya Lesnikovskaya now
Now the actress is trying to devote more time to her family, so she participates in 1-2 projects a year. In 2020, Natalya Lesnikovskaya starred in the ninth season of the crime film “Lawyer” with Andrei Sokolov in the title role. The actress also appeared in the medical melodrama “Woman with Lilies,” which was shown on the TVC channel. At the center of the film's events was gynecologist Nadezhda Polunina (Ekaterina Vulichenko), who avoided close relationships with men due to the inability to have children herself.
Natalia Lesnikovskaya in the film “Woman with Lilies”
In the spring of 2020, the NTV channel started broadcasting the detective series “Route of Death”, the plot of which was based on events that actually happened. The film was about a mysterious gang of criminals who ambushed federal highway drivers and shot them. Two investigators take on the case of the “GTA gang” - Zvonarev (Andrey Merzlikin) from the Department of Internal Affairs and Melnikov (Sergey Makovetsky) from the Investigative Committee. Natalya Lesnikovskaya appeared in an episode of the series.
Theater
Among the graduate performances of the aspiring artist were: “Eight Women”, “Family Affair”, “The Thing in Itself”.
In 2004, Natalia Lesnikovskaya graduated from the Russian Academy of Theater Arts (GITiS) with honors and received an offer to work at the Vl. Mayakovsky. Here she served for four years. Later she played in the Praktika theater, the Center for Drama and Direction theater and enterprises.
The actress says: “Practice” is very popular among the intellectual public. I find it interesting there, and I have progressed a lot as an actress thanks to the performances of this theater. I have a lot of enterprises, but this is completely different - this is a secular theater, and it’s difficult to learn something in it. You come and do what you already know.”
At the Praktika theater, the artist played a number of roles, including Lena in Viktor Alferov’s sensational play based on Pavel Pryazhko’s play “Life was a Good Thing,” which was replete with profanity. Natalia shares: “I don’t see anything terrible. Yes, there are moments after which people leave the hall. This is an ordinary love triangle. She loves him, and he takes advantage of this; in revenge, she marries his brother. But nothing changes because of this, and there is not enough will to break this vicious circle, and everything remains the same. But life is good because there is love.”

Cinema
The actress made her film debut in her second year at the institute - she played a ballerina in Alexei Kozlov’s crime melodrama “Life Goes On.” This was followed by leading roles in the films: “Assassination” (desperate criminal Camilla), “Close People” (literature teacher Inga Arnoldovna).
"Children of Vanyukhin"
In 2005, Yuri Moroz directed the folk melodrama “Children of Vanyukhin” based on the novel of the same name by Grigory Ryazhsky. This is the story of two families: the Vanyukhins, who live in the village, and the Russified German Klauses, the inhabitants of the city.
The events of the film cover a period of thirty years, which turns the picture into a kind of saga, almost a family chronicle against the backdrop of changing historical eras.
Heinrich Klaus's wife and Vanyukha's wife give birth at the same time in the same hospital. One loses a child, the other gives birth to twins. One of the boys, declared hopelessly ill by doctors, ends up in the Klaus family. After this, the paths of the two families intersect more than once.
The second part of the story is, in fact, the story of Vanyukha himself, who is attracted by the lights of the big city. In the end, he manages to achieve his goal and become a fairly influential and wealthy figure, the question is at what cost and whether the great goal justifies not the most plausible means. As a result, his children and grandchildren are paying for the elder Vanyukhin’s mistake...
The actress played one of the leading roles in the film - the sister of the main character, the walking and drinking village girl Mila. Her ensemble consisted of: Alexey Serebryakov, Alena Babenko, Natalya Egorova, Yuri Stepanov, Ilya Shakunov, Alisa Bogart, Vitaly Khaev.
"Blood Sisters"
Lesnikovskaya’s work in Valery Rozhko’s series “Blood Sisters” with Maria Kulikova, Elena Koreneva, Sergei Astakhov, Sergei Kolesnikov became noticeable.
The film tells about a young woman, a businesswoman who had built a business empire with her own hands, had a happy family, and was about to give birth to a child. She gets into a car accident, and as a result she experiences some soul-searching. She survives only because she was given the blood of another woman. In addition, unexpectedly the daughter from his casual relationship many years ago comes to her father. Ultimately, this is the story of three women who unexpectedly become blood sisters.
For the role of Ritka, the artist received the “TV Star” award in the “Discovery of the Year” nomination. Natalia shares: “For me it was a holiday, it’s so nice to understand that your work was appreciated, and not just by the jury, but by the TV viewers who voted for you. It was so exciting to go on stage to the roar of the audience of five thousand. I’m ready to work day and night for moments like these.”
Such popular films with the participation of the actress as the comedies “Nurse” by Saido Kurbanov and “If You Don’t Have an Aunt...” by Galina Salgarelli, the melodrama “My Mother is the Snow Maiden” by Roman Barabash, the series “Travelers” by Gennady Baysak also gathered spectators at the screens.
"Gold of Troy"
In 2008, directors Igor Kalenov and Alexandra Butko released the first film adaptation dedicated to Heinrich Schliemann, the son of a poor pastor from a German village. He independently earned a million-dollar fortune, and as director of the Imperial Bank in St. Petersburg, he quit his business and went traveling. Henry's second wife was Sophia Engastromenos, into whom Natalia Lesnikovskaya reincarnated.
The artist shares her impressions of working in the project: “This is an eight-part television film that tells about the adventures of the famous archaeologist and gold hunter of Troy, Heinrich Schliemann, whose wife I played. Filming took place over the course of a year in Crimea, Karelia, the Czech Republic, and St. Petersburg, and its scope and twisted plot make it possible to place the film on a par with such classics of the adventure genre as Indiana Jones.
There was a lot of interesting things. For example, according to the script, my heroine is very dark-skinned, and they applied such thick dark makeup to me that at the end of filming in Balaclava in 52 degrees heat in the shade, I arrived in Moscow completely untanned, unlike the entire film crew. In addition, I had to wallow in the mud for a couple of filming days - I was filming a fall from a mountainside into the mud from the height of a 3-story building. The most dangerous moments were performed by stuntmen, but still I had to do a lot myself. And what’s most interesting is that my stunt double was a guy, they put a wig and a dress on him, and the resemblance was amazing.”
In the late 2000s, roles appeared in the artist’s repertoire: an English teacher in Georgy Ilyin’s melodrama “Adult Games,” a military doctor in Vyacheslav Afonin’s film “Forty-Five,” and Irina in the sequel “One Day There Will Be Love.” At the same time, Natalia played one of the main characters (Vladislava Marchenko) in the detective story “Trap” by Sergei Lysenko. The film was based on Irena Rozdobudko’s novel “Trap for the Firebird.”
The actress’s filmography, rich in diverse roles, also includes such high-rated series as: “Voronins” (Vera’s boss), “Interns” (Olya, who doesn’t like male doctors), “Mother’s Heart” (convict Olesya Prikhodko), “Shapovalov” (girl Natasha ), “Turns of Fate” (Olga Titova).
"Beekeeper"
In the village detective story “Pasechnik” by Sergei Bystritsky, the actress played the former common-law wife of MUR investigator Gleb Sbruev (Anatoly Zhuravlev). Her Lena is caught up in a love triangle and is trying at all costs to return Gleb’s love and affection.
Natalia clarifies: “In the first part of “The Beekeeper,” I was faced with the fact that my heroine was invented in a rather one-sided way, she only introduced a destructive grain into the whole story. I, in turn, tried my best to justify her.
As a result, when the material was edited, our director Sergei Bystritsky called me, praised me and said that in the second season he was giving the writers the task of making my heroine “a woman with a difficult fate and a very complex character.” For me it was a victory! And indeed, in the second season, my heroine either cries, then fights with someone, then throws something, or gets drunk.
It was not possible to rest during filming. In general, the series has a lot of non-standard, unpredictable moves. And the filming was wonderful. For once, summer was filmed in summer.”
Among the artist’s recent notable works: the melodrama by Alexei Karelin “From Holiday to Holiday”, the film by Boris Grachevsky “Between Notes, or the Tantric Symphony”, the comedy by Oleg Fomin “The New Wife”, the film by Dmitry Fix “Alien Darling”, the detective story by Denis Neimand “The Route of Death” "
In total, the actress has more than seventy film roles.

Natalya Lesnikovskaya and Daniil Strakhov on the set of the film “Trap”
Natalya also took part in the large-scale adventure biographical drama about Heinrich Schliemann (Valery Kukhareshin) “The Gold of Troy”. The film was about the son of a German pastor who made a multimillion-dollar fortune, and then, leaving a prestigious job, went on a long archaeological expedition. Natalya played Sophia, the second wife of a millionaire, who accompanied him on his travels.
The actress also appeared in the film adaptation of Fyodor Dostoevsky’s novel “The Brothers Karamazov,” the crime drama “Mother’s Heart,” the detective story “Karpov,” the serial action film “The Beekeeper,” and the black comedy “Decent People.” In the 2009 detective story “The Trap,” Natalya Lesnikovskaya played one of six criminals who covered up the murder of an elderly woman and went unpunished. Years later, young people gathered at the dacha, where one by one they began to die under mysterious circumstances.
Natalya Lesnikovskaya in the TV series “Interns”
During her creative biography, Natalya managed to take part in the top-rated sitcoms “Interns”, “Voronins”, “Nezlob”, “Shapovalov”. Lesnikovskaya’s credits include the main role in the melodrama “From Holiday to Holiday” and the role of the main character’s mother as a child in Boris Grachevsky’s drama “Between the Notes, or the Tantric Symphony.” In 2015, the actress delighted fans with her new role as cellist Zhanna in the comedy melodrama “The New Wife” about the extinguished feelings of two spouses Sasha and Ira (Mikhail Efremov and Alena Babenko) on the threshold of their 30th wedding anniversary.
Personal life
Natalia is married to engineer Ivan Yurlov. The artist shares: “Our acquaintance took place in a modern style: we met on the Internet several years ago. We are both fond of winter sports - snowboarding and skiing - and began our communication on one of the thematic forums. After a year of stormy virtual friendship, we realized that it was time to transfer our acquaintance to real life, we met, liked each other and began dating.”
The couple’s wedding was very unusual: “I never dreamed of a luxurious, classic wedding. And my husband supported me in this. Therefore, we tried to simply make a sincere, relaxed party for ourselves and loved ones. I always remember her with great warmth.”
The couple have two sons - Yegor and Mark. Natalia brings them up in strictness. “Men are designed in such a way that under no circumstances should you overprotect them and solve their problems for them. This is true for both children and adults. Boys must grow up to be men,” the artist emphasizes.

The actress, who we will soon see in the film “I’m Not Like That!” I’m not like that!”, I always dreamed of settling next to my mother and brother in the north of the capital. It was there that the future star was born. Several years ago, Natalia purchased a two-room apartment in her favorite area, near the Vodny Stadium metro station.
At 56 sq. meters there is everything necessary for the life of a mother and two sons. The artist divorced the boys’ father Ivan three years ago. The man settled nearby. “A designer friend helped with the renovation,” says Natalia. — At first I thought of making everything white - in the style of Finnish minimalism. But when I went to the store to buy wallpaper, I realized that I wanted bright colors. As a result, the corridor turned out to be light green, the bedroom - white, the bathroom - yellow, and the children's room - orange. I joke that the colors of the rooms resemble the seasons... And the kitchen is a hodgepodge, because the cabinets are multi-colored.”

All family members love the hall. There is a wall bars here, where eight-year-old Egor and six-year-old Mark are practicing. “I think that sports for boys is extremely important,” the star shares. — Egor is in first grade, Mark goes to kindergarten. Both grow up as helpers: the older one vacuums, and the younger one enjoys peeling potatoes.”

In her free time from filming, Lesnikovskaya loves to cook, especially Italian dishes, such as Caprese salad and baked Portobello mushrooms. “Unfortunately, due to a busy schedule, it’s not so often possible to do household chores,” complains Natalia. — When on set, either a nanny or grandmothers sit with the children. Sometimes dad takes them. But working in your own home is difficult. Now I need to learn poems for one production, but I just can’t get around to it. Mark and Yegor are distracting all the time. That’s why I usually repeat the text while driving on the road.”

Passionate about work, Natalia left her personal life in the background for a long time. Due to constant filming, the actress broke up with her first love Sergei. Later she married a young man named Ivan. The couple had two children. However, Natalia’s mistake was repeated - she paid so much attention to work that her husband suggested that she live separately. The actress thought that he was not serious and agreed. And so they parted ways.
After the divorce, Natalia tries to spend more time with her sons, so she participates in a maximum of two projects a year. In 2016, the actress starred in the ninth season of the TV series “The Lawyer”, appeared in the melodrama “Woman with Lilies” and is now working on a new project.

Interview
About Me
“You can say that with my mother’s milk I received an understanding of how to eat properly. It so happened that my mother is a supporter of a healthy lifestyle. She practices yoga, qigong gymnastics, swims in an ice hole, and her hobbies include healing fasting and separate nutrition. Of course, all this could not help but affect me.”
“In general, as I understand, I am a man of movement. I was always doing something: classical dance, running, pantomime, tap dancing. One of my latest hobbies is jazz dancing.”
About love
“I am sure that the most important force in nature is love. You can call it in other words - God, creation... love. All problems in life come from a vacuum without love.”
About art
“There are millions of people, and each has their own pain, dreams, love, fears. I am sure that art is a kind of psychotherapy. They helped someone figure something out, make an important decision in life, or dissuaded them from trying drugs – that’s great.”
About my passion for photography
“I was actively interested in photography from the age of fourteen to eighteen, I had a Zenit at that time, but it was impossible to immediately understand what you had done while shooting. Now everything is different - you can look through everything and correct it. By the way, I forgot about my favorite macro mode, when you have an object and everything is blurry from behind, I really like pictures like this, because they resemble a still from a movie.”
“A good photographer is the one who can press the shutter on time.”
“The art of a photographer is, of course, energy.”
About appearance
“You can’t go far on appearance alone, you need charm, the ability to transform, and most importantly, individuality, some kind of zest. So appearance is not the main thing. But still, if an actress is beautiful, it’s easier for her in the movies. It is difficult for a huge number of good actors and actresses with an unsuccessful, let’s say, texture to get into the cinema. I understand that they are unlikely to be called to play the main characters in the film. Still, the viewer wants to see a beautiful face, and almost all famous film actresses are beauties.”
“An actress must attract attention and look her best. She is a kind of standard for viewers.”
About cinema
“I would really like to work a lot in films. I love movies, I get a huge boost of energy from filming and really miss them when they’re not there. Every time you go to the cinema, you find yourself in a new environment: new people, new impressions, communication, meetings with talented partners and directors. And this is its charm: you met, charged each other with creativity, electricity, talent... it’s wonderful!”
About the roles
“I used to think that I was better at serious dramatic roles, I liked it all so much, but through experience it turned out that for some reason I am more charming when it comes to funny things. In general, I’m not at all afraid of roles in which I seem ridiculous, stupid and ugly.”
When asked which role in your career was the biggest challenge, the actress replied: “The roles were radically different from my behavior in life. For example, in Yuri Moroz’s film “Children of Vanyukhin” I played a cheeky, walking, 100 percent confident girl, and in “Blood Sisters” I played a humorous, active, village market trader.
Besides, the directors approve me at auditions, which means they see some kind of untapped potential in me. I am immensely grateful to my profession for the fact that I can constantly reveal myself in new guises.”
“Roles definitely change your habits. And if in life it’s difficult for you to yell at someone, but in your roles you do it, then gradually it becomes part of your organic makeup.”
About samples
“I love auditions with all my heart. You can test yourself, this is a test, you can fool around and not be responsible for anything. And then, during the auditions, you can immediately see how the director will work with you.”
About the profession
“I felt like an actress after college, having worked for two years at the Mayakovsky Theater. Theater is like a training ground. You come to the cinema, no one will deal with you, you did it, showed the result, and well done. And in the theater - they dig inside, they take out of you something that you yourself don’t suspect.”
“It’s more difficult and painful in the theater. But without the theater I’m nowhere. This is my school, my institute, practice. I owe everything I have in my profession to the theater stage. But cinema is like a new adventure every time: unfamiliar partners, director, material. Everything here is so lively and improvisational. You can fool around."
“I agree to those jobs that, in someone’s opinion, might be worth refusing, but this is my choice. Basically, I enjoy my work, and even if the film itself may not turn out the way I would like, I am not ashamed of my work.”
“Of course, the main thing is luck, without it you can’t go anywhere. You can be a stubborn workaholic, but that's not enough. There’s no need to get hung up on your profession, you need to try to live life to the fullest – this is the key to success.”
Advice for aspiring actresses
“When young girls ask me whether to become an actress or not, I honestly warn them that this is a very difficult, thorny and painful path. You need to “go into acting” only in one case - if you are absolutely sure that you can’t do anything else, and you can’t imagine yourself without the stage. All actors, even those in great demand, are always waiting for work. If a woman can still wait, then a man, especially with a family, must earn money. The main thing in this profession is patience.”
Actress Natalya Lesnikovskaya: “I dream of returning to the era of crinolines”
Natalya Lesnikovskaya, photo by Natalya Plotnikova Natalya Lesnikovskaya was born in Moscow.
The viewer knows the actress from her roles in such films and TV series as “The Brothers Karamazov”, “The Gold of Troy”, “The Trap”, “One Day There Will Be Love”, “Voronin”, “Mother’s Heart”, “Shapovalov”, “Woman with Lilies” , “Balabol”, etc. - Natalya, what interesting things are happening to you now?
— At the moment I am rehearsing the play “The Double” based on Dostoevsky at the TsDR theater. I really like the material. It's been so long since I've had to rehearse the classics. I miss balls and crinolines. The last time I was able to show off in historical dresses was on the set of the film “The Gold of Troy.”
— In the film “The Gold of Troy” you played the wife of the famous Heinrich Schliemann. Those filming sessions must have been full of adventures?
-Yes, it was difficult and interesting. Historical cinema is always a gift for an artist. Everything that we had in the frame as a prop was all real and historical. If it was an outfit, then it was made from authentic material, according to patterns of that time. We actresses simply found ourselves in a different era. But there were also difficulties. Part of the filming took place in Karelia, and there were wild midges and mosquitoes, and they flew under the crinoline skirts right in the frame. Between takes we tried to get rid of them, screaming. And in the same heavy skirts we filmed in Balaklava, in Crimea, at a temperature of plus 35. As you know, film does not convey temperature...
— Does beauty help in the acting profession, or does it sometimes get in the way?

Or
— Cinema, of course, loves beauty. There are a large number of artists who are incredibly talented, simply fantastically gifted, but for some reason do not act in films. This is very unfair, it is strange, but it is significant, because in cinema the texture is more important than the inside. Maybe because the audience wants to look at beautiful heroines, and the female spectators want to look at the beautiful heroes in the frame.
— You have many roles in films, more than 70, but not many main ones...
“It seems to me that there is no point in going against your nature.” This means that my psychophysics is such that I can play character roles, not heroines.
— What did you study for this or that role?
— You know, artists come to castings and usually say that they can do everything. Although this is far from true. But, of course, we, artists, are ready to learn everything, if only there is such a need! It happened that before filming, I practiced at the ballet barre for six months, learned horse riding and driving. I remember the first time I sat behind the wheel of some luxury sports car on camera, not knowing how to drive at all. How afraid I was of crashing this expensive car!
— In the TV series “Vanyukhin’s Children” you played a village girl who loved to drink and go for walks. Did you successfully get into character?
— Surprisingly, at the moment when director Yuri Moroz invited me to play this role, I was very modest, such a forget-me-not. “Why was I offered such a role?” - I thought. But, apparently, the director saw the beginnings of unbridledness in me... (Laughs).
Part of the filming took place in Paris. It was an amazing journey. The main thing in this city is the atmosphere and people. Of course, you should come there to relax, not to work.
— In the series “Close People” you played a literature teacher. Would you be able to teach in a modern school now?
- No! My eldest son is in school, and I know how difficult it is. It seems to me that the work of a teacher is a kind of sacrifice. You must love your profession very much. That's basically what acting is.
- You have two sons. What do you like and dislike about your own children?
“They are more free than the children of my generation.” Their childhood and mine are radically different. Now letting a child go somewhere alone is simply nonsense. They coo with children and worry about their psychological comfort. Being left alone at home is also incredible. And I remember that in the first grade I came home alone, warmed my food, and minded my own business until late in the evening. By the way, recently at the “Pilot” festival I saw an application for the series “Dad”. How accurately the realities of our Soviet childhood are shown. This is very funny!
— Do you restrict children's online communication?
- Certainly. They spend very little time on their gadgets; sometimes they watch something on YouTube. Surprisingly, the work of some bloggers who produce children's content is more interesting for my children than professional television programs for children. They have a favorite character - Valera the jelly bear. They wouldn't watch if they weren't interested, right? It's worth thinking about.
— Who did you play in the spy film “Assassination”?
— I played a Slavic girl who ultimately turns out to be a suicide bomber. It was very difficult for me to work with this material and touch this energy... By the way, this year at the short film festival “In Short” I saw a short film called “S”, on the same topic. In the frame, a beautiful girl wakes up in the morning, we see her graceful body, she takes a shower. Drinks cofee. All this is filmed in a very erotic way. And then her sister calls her and almost screams: “Why did you contact these people?!” We are so worried about you!” And now we see how this beautiful girl puts on a suicide belt, a hijab. And goes to the city center. This is where the film ends...
— Which of the old school actors did you act with? What did they impress you with, what did they teach you?
— All the “Soviet-trained” artists are amazing! First of all, with your ability to create a role for yourself. They know that they need to figure out how to build a role, they constantly come up with some tricks and devices. The hero cannot just walk like that, he must stumble, turn around, and finally scratch himself! These are artists who, by and large, do not need a director. And, of course, Soviet cinema was very different from today. There, the actors rehearsed to be ready when the camera turned on, so as not to waste film stock. All that remains is to admire them.
— Who is your film idol?
— Romy Schneider is the case when the artist was given everything, beauty, talent, and 100% charm. And I am incredibly fascinated by contemporary actresses: Natalie Portman, Joanna Kulig and Cate Blanchett.

Natalya Lesnikovskaya: films and TV series
In 2003, the second film with Lesnikovskaya’s participation was released. We are talking about the 3rd season of the series Next. This time, Natasha successfully reincarnated as student Sasha, who is dating Fedenka (Alexander Loye).
In the same 2003, the young Muscovite appeared in four TV series, including “Taste of Murder” (saleswoman Tatyana), “Lawyer” (model named Lada), “Passenger without luggage” and “Always say always.”
When did Natalya Lesnikovskaya get her first leading role? Such a significant event for her occurred in 2004. Director V. Ostrovsky approved her for the role of the criminal Camilla in his spy film “Assassination.” The actress could not miss such a chance. She managed to create a believable image (of a desperate and strong-willed girl).
In 2004, Lesnikovskaya’s filmography was replenished with three films - the detective story “Sleuths” (season 3), the military drama “Penal Battalion” and the series “Russian Medicine”.
It is impossible not to note her work in the social drama “The Point”. The RATI-GITIS graduate quite convincingly played a former prostitute nicknamed “Scythe”. Her colleagues on the set were Daria Moroz, Anna Ukolova and Mikhail Efremov.
In 2005, our heroine learned what real popularity and love of the audience is. This happened after the premiere of the series “Blood Sisters”, in which she played Ritka.
Let's list her most striking and interesting roles for 2006-2009:
- melodrama “More Important than Love” (2006) - Alexandra Konovalova, Vlad’s fiancée;
- comedy series “Topsy-turvy” (2007) - Angelina;
- crime melodrama “Nurse” (2007) - Larisa;
- adventure film “The Gold of Troy” (2008) - Sophia Schliemann;
- detective “Trap” (2009) - Vladislav Marchenko.
