The vocalist of the “golden line-up” of the Na-Na group, Pavel Sokolov, spent 22 years working in the group. He danced in boy band ballet for more than ten years before making his debut as a soloist in 1997. In 2008, the artist left the ensemble for a solo career.

The guy went out to work on Saturdays and Sundays. Here, at the factory, a representative of Bari Alibasov found him, inviting him to the ballet of the Na-Na group, which was just gaining popularity.

At the same time, in an interview with the Golos.ua portal, the artist said that he came to “Na-na” at the age of 16, and on the air of “Russian stuffing” (NTV) he mentioned 22 years of experience working with the group, which implies starting work in 12 years of age. At the same time, in 1995 he assembled a ballet troupe together with choreographer Alexander Lebedev. The team participated as backup dancers at the concerts of pop singer Anzhelika Varum for two years. The activities of the creative association ceased when Alibasov invited Sokolov to perform in Na-Na again, but as a vocalist.
In 1997, the group was a quartet, which consisted of soloists Vladimir Politov, Vyacheslav Zherebkin, Vladimir Asimov and the permanent Vladimir Levkin, who sang in “Na-Na” from the moment of its creation. Sokolov returns to the promoted team when a new stage of development begins.

The country saw an unprecedented show: in a touring project called “Think it up, right?” The group members were either cowboys, space explorers, or espionage geniuses. Three hundred costumes were made according to sketches by Vyacheslav Zaitsev, Yuri Ars and other fashion designers.
The show swept not only across Russia, but also abroad. “Nanai” presented it in Israel, Canada and the USA, as well as in the countries of Southeast Asia. As part of the concerts, Pavel Sokolov’s debut took place. Next year brings the “Nanais” to the peak of popularity. For the first time, artists are holding a forum of thousands of fans in the capital. The band's name star appears near the Rossiya concert hall. One award follows another: “Na-Na” becomes the winner of the Ovation Award for the ninth time. In addition, the Russian noble society decides to assign each vocalist a count's title, and Alibasov - a prince's title.
In 1999, Levkin left Na-Na. The group still puts on great shows, but its popularity is noticeably decreasing. The severe economic crisis also affects the audience's love. Fans have no money to buy tickets. At the turn of the millennium, both Alibasov and his charges left for America.

Cooperation with American producers was successful, but Alibasov’s commercial plans, like many record companies, were disrupted by the emergence of file sharing services. The songs leaked onto the Internet, reaching the audience for free. In 2002, the artists returned to their homeland, and Asimov soon left the team.
For the next few years, Sokolov actively tours with the group throughout Russia. A big concert is being held in honor of the anniversary of Kazan. Despite the creation of new programs, the group's popularity is declining.
