Biography of Sergei Mezentsev

Sergey Mezentsev is a Russian artist and musician, whom Russians remember from the provocative humorous project “Reutov TV” in the pseudo-documentary genre, where he played the role of an absurd provincial journalist. Sergei’s musical incarnations, a star of rural discos, a romantic singer and a rapper-businessman, also did not remain without admirers, but the artist does not stop there and develops a video blog “Seryozha and the Microphone”.

Dmitry Mezentsev: statesman

In 1990, Dmitry Mezentsev begins to try himself in politics. He becomes a people's deputy of the Leningrad City Council and the head of its press center (until 1991).

After that, for 5 years he was chairman of the Press and Media Committee of the St. Petersburg City Hall. Represented the Ministry of Information and Press of the Russian Federation in the region.

During the same period, Vladimir Putin, who once held the position of chairman of the Committee on External Relations, also worked at the mayor’s office. Thus, they worked together with Mezentsev for more than a single year.

In 2012, he was a candidate for the presidency of the Russian Federation - this decision was approved by the head of Russian Railways, Vladimir Yakunin. But the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation then refused to register Mezentsev, as it turned out that he did not have enough signatures.

He is a supporter of the United Russia party. In 2004, he was predicted to become the director of Channel One, but the appointment never followed. In the same year, in addition to the position of vice-speaker of the Federation Council, he dealt with issues of youth and sports.

Childhood

Sergei Mezentsev’s small homeland is the cultural, historical and industrial center of the Urals, the city of Kirov, where he spent his childhood and youth. Sergei was born on November 14, 1982 in a simple family, his father worked as an auto mechanic. Sergei has a sister and brother.

Sergei Mezentsev in childhood

Since childhood, he was a great inventor and loved to tell stories in which reality was intricately intertwined with fiction. Sergei differed from most other children, who could also generously dilute the truth with fiction, in that he did this not in order to get a good grade or avoid punishment for pranks, but simply because he loved to fantasize.

In the early 90s, the Mezentsev family moved to another district of Kirov, and Sergei was transferred to a new school. There was a computer club on the territory of school No. 47, and the future artist immediately plunged into the atmosphere of shooter games. Another hobby of Sergei was KVN. Together with new friends, he took part in school parties and performed in competitions. Sergei also played basketball and studied at an art school.

Having completed nine grades, he could not decide what profession he would like to connect his life with, so he followed his father’s advice and tried to enter an art school. After failing to pass the entrance exams, he returned to school.

Having received a certificate of secondary education, Sergei did not want to repay his debt to his homeland and tried to avoid military service by enrolling in one of the Kirov universities at the Faculty of Psychology. As soon as the danger had passed, the future blogger safely left his studies, because he already knew that he would not work as a child psychologist. After some time, Sergei again tried to get a higher education, but this attempt was also unsuccessful.

Family

His father is a journalist and military man. Mezentsev Fedor Dmitrievich was a colonel and correspondent for the newspaper “On Guard of the Motherland.”

During the Second World War he was a junior lieutenant in the railway troops. Since his school years, Fyodor Dmitrievich tried himself as a correspondent, and during the war years he worked for the newspaper “Fight for the Motherland.” The son decided to follow in his footsteps, becoming a journalist in the future.

His brother, Alexander Fedorovich Mezentsev, was the head of the administration of the city of Baikonur and a major general. He died in 2013.

Carier start

According to some reports, Sergei was brought into the media space by chance, and until 2006 inclusive, he worked on the Kirov First City TV channel as the host and producer of the entertainment project “Muz-hello”.

Sergei's career began in the media space of Kirov.
In 2007, Mezentsev left his native Kirov and went to the capital, where for a year and a half he held the position of creative director in one of the many advertising agencies.

The following year, he posted the first video on his YouTube channel. The video “SMS Let’s Go to One Place,” created by Sergei when he was still working on Kirov television, gave the inhabitants of the still young YouTube an idea of what kind of content they would have to encounter. Together with Mezentsev, portraying a rap star, his Kirov comrade Vladimir Volkolyksky, who later lost part of his hair and took the pseudonym Marconi, also starred in the video.

Vladimir Marconi and Sergei Mezentsev

With Vladimir and another native of the city of Kirov, Mikhail Fedorov, Sergei began working on the project “Pismoshnaya”, which was supposed to become the Russian analogue of the British sketch show “Monty Python”, but the producers did not appreciate the absurdity of the jokes and the idea failed. Sergey Mezentsev WRITING - Cat Exhibition However, having seen the first sketches of young artists in which they read fictitious letters from fictitious viewers, Roman Sarkisov, general director of the young TV channel “2x2”, invited his friends to make a video report about the night of animation that took place at the Oktyabr cinema.

Blogging and television

In 2007, Mezentsev set out to “take Moscow” without a clear plan of action. For a year and a half, the guy made a living by creating commissioned advertising videos together with friends from his hometown, and eventually achieved what he wanted - signing a contract with 2x2. The authors posted a special report for the TV channel on the night of animation on YouTube and then reaped the benefits of the surge in popularity.

Vladimir Marconi and Sergei Mezentsev

At the end of the summer of 2010, “Reutov TV,” founded and directed by him in a duet with Vladimir Marconi, aired on MTV, then moved to the same “2x2” and existed here for 3 years. During this time, Sergei's acting role expanded to a memorable trinity of characters - Ilya Ogurtsov, Dog and Victor Deluxe.

In 2013, the comedian embarked on a musical path and wrote compositions as DJ Oguretz. The debut turned out to be very successful. Later, stars of Russian show business also appeared in the DJ’s videos, and the singles made his discography quite impressive.

Sergey also tried himself in the role of rapper Lil Dik, who released the premiere collection on Gazgolder, and in 2017, after the presentation of the second record, he entered Versus Battle against Syava.

In the same year, he began to write his own blog, “Seryozha and the Microphone,” where he “torments” ordinary passers-by, as well as celebrities, with all sorts of unexpected and provocative questions. At the same time, he acted as the host of two shows on the Internet.

Reutov TV

During the event, Sergei and Vladimir, introducing themselves as journalists from the cable channel of the city of Podolsk, interviewed cinema visitors, ordinary and famous people, and among those who were “lucky” to answer the questions of the strange presenters were Alexander Tolmatsky, member of the Chelsea group Dan Petrov and singer Alexey Goman. Subsequently, Podolsk was transformed into Reutov and the show became known as “Reutov TV”.

In an interview with Yuri Dudu, Sergei said that he was surprised that their test video for “2x2,” which was posted on the Pismoshnaya YouTube channel opened in 2008, became super popular. Reutov-TV. Issue 10 The first season of the provocative and absurdist humorous program was aired on the “2x2” channel in the interview format, the second in the format of a parody of a TV investigation, and the third was made in the form of a travel show. Sergei came up with his favorite images of the provincial reporter Ilya Ogurtsov, the glamorous lion Victor Deluxe and the Dog while working.

Sergei Mezentsev as Ilya Ogurtsov

The show consisted of four main sections: the analytical program “Reutov’s View”, a review of new fashion items “Fashionable Sofa”, a children’s section “Growing Up” and a news report “Special Report”.

In 2013, the artist decided to leave the Pismoshnaya project, which upset not only fans of the show, but also his friends Vladimir Marconi and Mikhail Fedorov.

Career

In 2010, Sergei and his friend Marconi Vladimir launched the humorous television show “Reutov TV”.

Sergei Mezentsev is practically unknown to us under his own name, since we are accustomed to his pseudonyms. He brought to life the image of a provincial journalist, the fictional host of the TV show “Reutov’s View” Ilya Ogurtsov. He also did a great job playing Victor Deluxe, who is a glamorous reporter. Sergei Mezentsev, in the image of Pesi, leads a kind of children’s section of his television project, and this section is called “Adulting”. Here he, together with the clown, leads his “youngest viewers” into the world of adults and shows children what awaits them in the future.

Mezentsev can also be seen in the image of the Dragon (a fictional pick-up artist), who instructs men on how to properly seduce a woman.

Musical projects

The DJ Oguretz project, which, according to Sergei, he began working on during the existence of the Reutov TV show, appeared on Russian YouTube in 2013, and the very first video entitled “Let The Music Fuck You” showed that Sergei not only a wonderful comic actor, but also a talented musician.
From 2013 to 2020, Mezentsev released two albums, “POWER” and “Back To Selo,” and shot about ten video clips. DJ Oguretz - Let The Music Fuck You In the image of the owner of the metropolitan car wash chain "STRUYA" Valery Diktirev, obsessed with hip-hop and its paraphernalia, creating musical products under the stage name Lil Dik, the artist appeared in mid-2020. As in the case of the DJ Oguretz project, Sergey demonstrated his signature sarcastic view of both Russian show business and life in Russia in general. In 2020, he released the album “Password: BLAZHEN$TVO”, and a year later the album “Neonovy Govnuk”. In 2020, the artist participated in a battle with Vyacheslav Khakhalkin, known as rap Syava, performer of the hits “Don’t Blatui”, “Smoke Gives Me” and “Vigil”, which ended in mutual insults and a fight. Sergei, in his own words, prepared for the rap duel for two months, but this rhyming squabble was not at all similar to a battle.

Talented artist Segrey Mezintsev

In an interview for the YouTube channel “vDud,” Mezentsev admitted that he considered the performance unsuccessful and called it the most lame in the history of Russian rap battles. At the same time, Sergei could not help but comment on the low quality of Russian rap music, noting, however, that he is proud that he still dared to leave his comfort zone and take part in the competition of Russian rappers, but, unlike most of them, he did without the services of ghostwriters.

“I TRY TO DO WHAT I HAVE NOT DONE BEFORE”

Not everyone remembers Sergei Mezentsev by name, but if you start bending your fingers, listing from memory the projects in which he was the author and participants, then anyone under forty will probably say in surprise, “Hey, I know this tall guy with a mustache.” " Reutov-TV, Pismoshnaya, 2 Giga of Love. “Our Russian Sacha Baron Cohen.” And now DJ Oguretz. A new stage character is a disc jockey from the deep provinces. Slightly naive, rude, but at the same time endlessly funny, energetic and at times epic.

Last Friday, DJ Oguretz (aka Sergey Mezentsev) performed on the stage of the art bar “On the Other Side” and we couldn’t miss the chance to ask him about the first steps of the new project.

— Where did DJ Cucumber first appear - at the controls or on the screen?

“But you can’t just say what came first.” The idea has existed for a long time, but for the first time I was at the control panel when I was called to perform as “Seryozha Mezentsev” by Kirill from the group S.B.P.Ch. He just called, like, come play. We came, played for five kopecks, and I really enjoyed it. I realized that it is not so difficult and that I need to DJ. First of all, it's profitable. Secondly, I did it in a way that no one had tried before. Thirdly, the project, which I had been thinking about for a long time, itself fit into the DJ format... But these were only the first steps that helped to come up with and formulate the idea. For the first time, DJ Oguretz appeared in the video.

— The first video was released in September. How long did it take to remove it?

- One day.

— What about post-production? How much of a perfectionist are you in life?

“It may not look like it to me, but I’m terribly focused.” If I'm doing something and something sticks out, I don't sleep. Therefore, I edited the video for two to two and a half weeks. Not all the time, from time to time - I still need to rest, plus I also draw... academic education. After all, when you draw, it is very important to step aside from time to time and let the work stand, so that later you can look at it with an open eye.

— Are you more of a director or an editor by nature?

- More like an editor. All our projects - from “Reutov” to “Pismoshnaya” - were brought together with my own hands. So many hours were spent on the ass. Such a mammon has grown, so many waffles have been eaten... Therefore, for me, everything in the editing is clear and close. Again, it may not seem like it, but I'm a super nerd.

— Did you have a plan for several videos at once or did each one appear spontaneously?

— There was no plan for several steps and rollers ahead. There was an idea, but I had no idea how it would work. To be honest, I expected a negative reaction. All of us are Russophiles. God forbid you say something wrong and some bullshit immediately starts: why did you film this, it would be better to show some beautiful monument. But the reaction suddenly turned out to be very good, I did not expect this at all. He probably just tapped into some kind of collective unconscious.

When the first video came out, I, of course, started thinking about a sequel. There were all kinds of fantastic ideas. And then one evening, when my wife and I were about to go to bed, I suddenly suddenly said: “Imagine, it would be cool - DJ Cucumber meets DJ Groove, and he is gay.” She laughed: “It’s so stupid, he says, he’ll never agree to this.” We laughed, forgot, and in the morning I suddenly thought: “why do I decide for him?” I called, we talked, he said I’m in the game.

- Did he just say that?

- Of course no. “Hello... my name is Seryozha... you will be blue.” Gradually, gradually. I called him: you don’t know me, I know you... my name is Seryozha Mezentsev, I worked on the 2+2 channel, I have a project and we shot the first video for Let The Music Fuck You... he laughed. I say, now I want to shoot a second video, and I have a proposal for you. If you say “fuck you”, I will understand you. He looked and called “this is cool, he says it’s really real UK.” After that, I explain the idea to him at length and in detail and he – thank God – agrees.

— Was there an option to replace him with someone else if he refused?

- Noooo. Groove is the most famous and recognizable DJ in our country. The man of the era, he is already in our cages. I found a poster of Groove from an old Cool magazine. The same one from the clip. It's hanging on my wall at home now.

— How was the shooting of the second video?

— The clip was very difficult. We filmed for three days, of which the material from one of the days did not make it into the video at all. It was difficult to film, in a new way. For example, there were scenes shot from the air. Even filmmakers sometimes don't understand how it was done. And we had a special copter that filmed from above... And, you know, what’s funny. If earlier during the time of “Reutov” we were arrested a couple of times during filming when we were working in the Kremlin area, then this time no one even came up. We are in the very center with the aircraft - and no one cares.

— How did the video and song “Golden Eagle” appear?

— A certain lady wrote to me: I’m your big fan and would love to sing with you, I myself perform in the Killer Honda project - here’s our video. I look and think: wait, wait, who’s that on the drums – Nike Borzov?! I’m writing right away - what else do you have? At that time I was heavily into Dead Weather (the project of Jack White from the White Stripes), and this is such a dark mystical garage rock... And then I listened to the tracks of Killer Honda, I see that they have such a sour garage rock, only with drums and a guitar. I immediately have a flash in my head, I can already see the song. I wrote a song and a script for a video and sent it to Killer Honda. They answer - wow, cool, we are still recording an album, but we have an idea... in short, they recorded it, I mixed it.

— Who sings on the chorus in Golden Eagle?

— I sing the verse, Alina sings the chorus, Nike and Maxim sing the backing vocals. That is, it turns out that everyone sings.

— How long did it take to shoot the video this time?

— One day, but it was in early December, so I was brutally cold. Killer Honda filmed itself for about fifteen minutes, and I spent the whole day in the cold.

— And when should we expect the next release?

- It has already been removed. But this will be a special project for April 1st. A kind of spinoff, when the universe is the same, but everything in it is different.

— In your second video, director Roman Karimov (“Inadequate People,” “Shattered”) starred in your role as a gopnik—how did this even happen?

— When they were filming the video, the actor who was supposed to play Gopnik lost his temper. And I immediately started going over in my head all the people I knew who could be invited to play this role. And suddenly I understand - here he is, Roma Karimov. I called him, and he immediately said yes, I’ll come... In fact, we filmed many more scenes with his participation, and in some of them his face was even visible.

— What happened before – Karimov’s participation in your video or your role in Karimov’s failed film “Startup”?

— “Startup” existed before. There we met and became friends.

— What happened to “Startup”?

- No one knows. Roma closed the door and left the project. I won't comment.

— Was the role big?

- The role is insignificant. Plus the project was constantly stormy. And I ruined everything. I’m sure all the scenes with my participation were cut out, and if they weren’t cut out, then they simply didn’t have everything at home. The events of two days, where my character first appears, were never removed from the original script... As a result, according to the plot, some crazy person comes out, behaves somehow strangely, and then no less mysteriously disappears from the plot.

— The project is positioned as a “movie about the 90s,” and for some reason your character is called “Hipster Artemy”?

- Indeed? I wasn't cut out?!

- Well, I do not know. But in all film databases both your name and the name of your character are listed.

“Then you have more information than I do.” In fact, after Roman left the project, I became sharply uninterested in what was happening there.

— Three videos in six months, a concert program. What's next?

— Somewhere in early summer, I plan to finally release an album, although the album format has already become obsolete these days. You release a record, then shoot videos based on the released tracks, but the viewer is dissatisfied and demands something new: come on, he says, we’ve already seen this... People constantly need a lot of new material so that they don’t get tired of you... I already have ideas for several moves ahead. For example, there is an idea for a video that is technically very complex.

— With special effects?

- Of course.
I always try to do something that I haven't tried before. comments powered by HyperComments

“Seryozha and Microphone” and other projects

In March 2020, Sergey posted the first issue of his new project “Seryozha and the Microphone”. In the premiere episode, he walked along Novy Arbat and asked provocative questions to random passers-by. The artist’s new brainchild did not become an event in the YouTube space, but Sergei’s specific humor and his manner of communicating with Muscovites were appreciated by many viewers.

Mezentsev in the project “Seryozha and the Microphone”

The images created by Sergei, of course, could not help but attract advertisers, but most of his advertising creations cannot be seen on central television channels, such as, for example, a video masterpiece for the Philips company, in which gadget lover and glamorous lion Victor Deluxe reveals to Russians the secret of “purity” and the ways its achievement through the use of toothbrushes.

In the image of the melancholic romantic Ilya Ogurtsov, the artist starred in a viral video about the Avos.me antivirus and tried on a giant fish costume for an advertisement for Glade air fresheners.

Sergey Mezentsev - Cyber class protection! Unlike many comic actors, Sergei did not become a hostage to the genre and demonstrated dramatic abilities, starring as a young hipster Andrei in the 2014 biographical drama “Startup”, in which he joined Andrei Sokolov, Roman Karimov and Evgeniy Tkachuk.

Also, Russian film fans could see Mezentsev’s performance in Eduard Oganesyan’s playful comedy “Double Trouble,” in which the main roles were played by Daniil Belykh and TNT star Ekaterina Varnava, and in the science-fiction action film “Hardcore” by Ilya Naishuller, in which he starred in the company of Danila Kozlovsky.

Sergey Mezentsev in the film “Hardcore”

Sergei also played a small role (essentially as the host of Reutov-TV) in the comedy horror-drama “The Guy from Our Cemetery,” where the role of a provincial boy who became a cemetery caretaker was played by Alexander Pal.

Movies

Not only television was fascinated by the talented Mezentsev, but also cinema, which hospitably accepted him into a strong embrace. In 2014, the film “Startup” was released on big screens, telling about the creation of the Yandex search engine. There was also a role for Sergei here – the hipster Andrey.

Sergey Mezentsev in the film “Hardcore”

The next year turned out to be more fruitful: an attentive viewer could notice the aspiring actor Mezentsev in the image of a bartender in “Hardcore” and a reporter in “The Guy from Our Cemetery.” Later he dubbed the Dude in “High with Delivery.” If you believe Wikipedia, Mezentsev himself reported on the filming of a series with the intriguing title “One Point for All.”

Personal life of Sergei Mezentsev

Sergei has been married since 2004. He is the happy father of little Ivan, born in 2020, whom he often calls Jay Double U. He met his wife Vera Mezentsev while studying at the Faculty of Psychology at Kirov University.

Despite his busy schedule, the artist tries to visit his hometown more often, where his relatives live.

Sergey is fond of basketball

Since childhood, Sergei’s hobby has been basketball, which is in harmony with his tall height of 194 centimeters.

Personal life

In an interview with the “Together” project, whose journalists know how to select interesting topics for conversation with a guest, Mezentsev openly spoke about his personal life, his first love, and hitherto unknown biographical facts.

Sergey Mezentsev with his son

During school, he liked a classmate. He simply idolized the girl, kept a black and white photograph in an album and did not take any action to get closer - it was enough for him to contemplate and idolize the object of his desire from a distance.

Truly strong feelings overtook Sergei at the university. The KAVE student understood that he shouldn’t rely on his own external data, and relied on what he knew best – humor. He joked constantly and finally achieved what he wanted. The girl reciprocated the merry fellow’s feelings, and later became his wife.

Sergei Mezentsev and his son in the video “Me and my bro”

In the winter of 2015, wife Vera gave her husband her only son. The man simply dotes on Van: he loves spending time with him, sharing joint videos and photos with social network subscribers, and sometimes making Jay Double U (son) the co-host of his show.

The main secret of upbringing according to Mezentsev: so that parents do not put pressure on their children, do not cause injury and do everything to make them feel their love.

Sergey Mezentsev now

In 2020, Sergei enriched the Internet space with another project, no less bright than his previous incarnations - pop singer Ilya Ogurtsov, who was a combination of deliberately meaningless “sweet” texts with banal rhymes, haunting melodies and videos of exaggerated 90s style .
At the beginning of 2020, Sergei posted a video clip for the song “Where Are You?” on his channel. Despite the fact that sarcasm was evident in literally every detail of Sergei’s new image, among Internet users there were those who took Ilya Ogurtsov’s work seriously.

Ilya Ogurtsov - Where are you going? For several months, he published videos for the songs “Nastya, forgive me” and “Medical examination”, but they did not gain many views, and then Mezentsev decided to “introduce” his incarnations to each other. In a promotional video for the TikTok application, he appeared in the image of the glamorous lion Victor Deluxe, who, in fact, introduces the rapper-entrepreneur to the romantic singer, rural discos star DJ Cucumber and pickup truck master Dragon.

In the fall of 2020, Sergey, together with Vladimir Marconi and Mikhail Fedorov, became the guest of Yuri Dud. From this episode of the YouTube show “vDud”, viewers learned about the true reasons for the end of the Reutov TV project and how the famous program was created.

vDud: Mezentsev and Marconi When asked by Yuri whether he felt guilty for advertising on his channel, which was recognized as almost the largest financial Russian pyramid after the time of the notorious brainchild of Sergei Mavrodi “MMM”, the artist answered negatively. Sergei also stated that he had no idea that Cashbury was a pyramid scheme, and was not obliged to check the law-abiding nature of his clients who approached him with advertising proposals. In addition to musical projects and the vlog “Seryozha and the Microphone,” the artist is quite successfully involved in advertising. Russians who are not fans of comedy shows and modern music could see his work in a promotional video for KitKat chocolate, in which he played the role of one of the robbers, and in an advertisement for the HAIER company for the KHL championship.

Mezentsev’s Instagram news is followed by about 200 thousand subscribers, who are looking forward to the releases of the vlog “Seryozha and the Microphone” and new songs by the romantic singer Ilya Ogurtsov and rapper-businessman Valery Diktirev.

Sergei Mezentsev: “We don’t have a country, but Benjamin Button”

Sergey Mezentsev, better known as provincial journalist Ilya Ogurtsov from the TV show “Reutov TV,” attended the opening of a bar at the Museum of Soviet Slot Machines in Kazan as DJ Ogurts. The man, under whose professional wave of satire even the mayor of the capital of the republic fell, spoke in an interview with “Dog” about humor, provincialism, the USSR and the 90s.

How do you position yourself professionally?

I love wearing masks. That's why I'm a comedian. The same as Petrosyan and the residents of the Comedy Club. We just have different audiences. Also a director.

In that case, who is your audience?

My peers. There's a problem with humor: it's best absorbed by people who are younger than you. And making a peer laugh is always more difficult than making a younger person laugh. He is more experienced, he has seen more, it is difficult to surprise him. But the young will somehow pick it up, it’s easier to surprise them with old techniques, even though we grew up in different conditions and belong to different generations. Therefore, for me, the reaction of my peers is an indicator that I am not degenerating. If it’s not funny for them, then this is a wake-up call. At the same time, of course, it is important for young people to like me, as this means that I am fresh.

Are there limits to humor?

You can joke about everything. But there is a question of how - good, bad, thin, thick. There is also a moment of appropriateness - cultural, temporal or situational. For example, officials. In Russia there is a mentally embedded sacred awe of a strong man. This is not good and not bad, that's a fact. Accordingly, the image of an official is an eternally gloomy man in a black car with a flashing light. In the USA, the president can star in some stupid videos, go to entertaining TV shows, and so on. There, laughing at yourself is not something that “would be nice”, but something that is “necessary”. This is their mentality. Humor is still an indicator of the state of society.

How do you feel about traveling around Russia for the filming of “Reutov-TV”?

I looked confused. "Reutov-TV" is a satire. That is, you tune your brain to look for flaws and live with this state of mind for a month and a half. Over time, this turns from a professional skill into an everyday skill. You can’t start seeing everything as normal after filming. Therefore, my feelings about Russia are completely depressing. The third season of Reutov-TV, in my opinion, turned out to be the most complete and thoughtful. We have already found our channel, we have become masters in this. I wanted to not only entertain, but also say something. There we have both “bugaga” and “think.” Therefore, it is about the same thing as the film “Leviathan” is about. Probably, Leviathan, remove the biblical context from there and the request for eternity, also satire. Such a tragic “Wick”. Now I’m touring cities, and I’m trying to look at the country with a different eye and look for the good. It turns out.

But Zvyagintsev is accused of deliberately showing only the bad, when in fact everything is fine in Russia.

This is the right of every artist. If someone shows only good things, they can also be complained about, shouting “Hey, dude, have you seen at least one episode of “Emergency” on NTV?” Those accusing Zvyagintsev simply misunderstand the function of cinema. I think not from great intelligence.

Was there any negative criticism on Reutov TV?

We were lucky. Channel “2X2” is our curse and our salvation. This is a very niche channel, whose audience cannot be compared with the audience of Channel One. This is good, because only those who are initially close to this channel turn on this channel. Therefore, there was only one reaction: “Guys, this is cool!” There are no casual spectators. Unlike Channel 1, which is watched by very different people.

Is Reutov TV possible on Channel One?

I think yes. But, of course, it will be different. If the question is about censorship, then I can say that Reutov TV became possible thanks to a happy coincidence of circumstances. At that time (ed. note: “Reutov TV” was published from 2010 to 2013) a lot was possible. Almost all. The main condition is not to say “Putin is bad.” But “Russia is bad” or “The Church is bad” was possible. Now it's more difficult. Although I am sure that even the most censored product can have a completely opposite subtext. It depends on the skill.

In Reutov TV you exploit the image of a provincial journalist. Is provincialism always funny?

Have you noticed that something sincere always becomes an Internet virus? Someone is completely sincerely stupid or doesn’t understand something. Sincerity is great, it's a vanishing commodity. Now everyone is starting to be cunning and clever. Provincialism is precisely when people try to be something they are not. I myself worked for a long time at a provincial media outlet in Kirov, and did very stupid things. That’s why, in Reutov-TV, I, first of all, joke about myself and about the provincial media, the main feature of which is a sincere belief in their own importance and power in the complete absence of grounds for it. In “Reutov TV” there is even a planet in the screensaver. Not a single really large channel has a planet in its intro.

But isn't capitalism funny?

Moscow is also funny in its pompousness. How many skits have been made about hipsters and their limitations. It’s just that in humor, as in everything, you need to talk either about yourself or about what you understand. We seriously made bad television in Kirov. Our experience is shown in Reutov TV. In fact, there is little that was invented from scratch, since it is impossible to come up with something just from your head. The first season was even voiced by an announcer from Kirov. We understand this. And we are the main fools in the program. I am not at all ashamed to admit that before this I seriously worked in bad TV, did bad things and sincerely did not understand it. It was a stage where I didn’t know some things. And not knowing something is normal.

Is the DJ Cucumber project also about you?

Yes, sure. I was a teenager in the 90s. Through DJ Cucumber I'm trying to show my love for that music. The image itself, of course, is humorous, but the music is not. The main goal was to make high-quality music on which you can add any kind of farce in terms of image, video and presentation.

Do you think the 90s are coming into fashion?

Yes. In creativity, the main thing is originality. The reason for the dullness of our entire stage is that they deliberately try to be like everyone else, especially those who sing in English. For some reason they give the English-speaking public a pale photocopy of themselves. In general, I thought, let’s be different from everyone else and make it like the 90s, take a step back, while everyone is preoccupied with finding a new fashionable sound. Only in the process did I realize that I was not just not original, but one of many. But it was no longer possible to turn. Yes, I liked it.

You're talking about the 90s, but how do you feel about the ever-growing nostalgia for the USSR?

She never left and will never leave. Every second series on Channel One is about the 80s. It seems to me that this is because now is a completely incomprehensible time, and in the past everyone is looking for understandable comfort. Moreover, now in the prime of life are precisely those people who saw the death of the union. They are everywhere in the industry. I think it is they who express their melancholy in creativity. Although I myself conceived the project and it is also about the USSR, unfortunately. I don't know, maybe there's something in the air. Now everything is changing too quickly and it is unclear what to talk about.

Is there any project now (cinema, literature, TV show) that would be about modernity?

In fact, it's full. For example, my favorite program is “Battle of Psychics.” This is the funniest comedy show on all of TV. I believe we as a nation deserve it. No wonder she's so damn popular. Obscurantism among the people is still ineradicable. On the one hand, scientists are exploring space, on the other hand, the wildest metaphysics and belief in drums. This is also an indicator. If society grows, then such a program will no longer be in demand. I also like that the term “false psychic” was introduced into crime chronicles. It's like there are real psychics! It is harmful. Belief in metaphysics makes people inert.

That is, we are not far from the times of Kashpirovsky’s sessions?

Of course not. In general, at some point, 2008–2009, it seemed that the 90s were so far away, and we were already almost a democratic Europe. But then, within a couple of years, it became clear that everything was still in place. The 90s did not go anywhere, but simply dozed peacefully, waiting for the immune system to weaken. The creators explain the success of Fizruk, for example, by people’s nostalgia for the past decade. I don't think so. It’s just that “Fizruk” is about today. Ours is not a country, but some kind of Benjamin Button. If you follow the news, you see that every day we are moving further back.

Biography of Dr. Stanislav Mezentsev

Doctor Mezentsev Stanislav Alekseevich is a doctor by basic education, philosopher, healer, supporter and promoter of high ecological and esoteric culture. Born in Russia, in the Far East in the family of a military man in 1936. In 1954 he graduated from the Leningrad Suvorov School, in 1958 from the Saratov Military Medical School. While serving in the army as a responsible medical worker, he studied in absentia at the Faculty of Philosophy of Moscow State University, and after graduation he entered the Saratov Polytechnic Institute at the Faculty of Automation and Telemechanics. He completed 4 courses and at the same time entered, and in 1973 he graduated from the 2nd Moscow Medical Institute. N.I. Pirogov, specialty “General Medicine” (general practitioner). In connection with multilateral education, on the recommendation of Academician A.P. Avtsyn. To the Minister of Energy and Electrification of the USSR P.S. Neporozhny from 1975 to 1982 worked at the Siberian Research Institute of Energy as the Head of Research on medical and environmental problems of ultra-high-voltage energy. From 1977 to 1981, he studied in absentia as a graduate student at the Department of Philosophy of the Academy of Medical Sciences. The topic of the dissertation is “The problem of defining the subject and method of socialist healthcare in connection with the transition to communism” (or “What is the science of health and happiness as a targeted alternative to the science of illness and suffering”). The topic of the candidate's dissertation is “Problems of primary prevention of common diseases in an industrial enterprise” (1981, scientific advisor Prof. Shchepin O.P.)

Back in 1982-1983, he developed and repeatedly delivered public series of 16 lectures on the topic “Formation of a healthy lifestyle and non-drug methods of oriental medicine” in Novosibirsk and in the Siberian Academic Town. In 1983 and 1988, he published several works in which he put forward the idea of separating healthcare from medicine and transforming it into a system for the prevention of disorders of individual health, the prevention of common diseases and a significant increase in the life span of the country's citizens.

It was proposed to base such a system of protecting and maintaining health on the science of health, and not on diseases, as in medicine; its main form was to consider teaching the population non-drug methods of assistance and self-help, and most importantly, healthy nutrition and lifestyle, for which an individual approach and centuries-old experience of (inter)traditional medicine. It was also proposed to begin training in the country’s universities not only doctors - specialists in various diseases, but also mentors (doctors) - specialists in human health, as well as lifestyle teachers. Medicine, according to this idea, should include epidemiology, all types of emergency care, including surgery, special types of care in extreme and unusual conditions, venereology, obstetrics and gynecology, as well as pediatrics.

In general, all this presupposed and presupposes a completely new concept of public health care. It did not fit in any way with the official concept and structure of Soviet medicine and could not be accepted by it, although the author was supported by the leadership of the country’s Ministry of Health and the Science Department of the Central Committee of the Party. The author was not able to defend a single dissertation on this topic, although over 30 articles and several monographs were published. It was possible to defend this direction of work only at the Scientific Council of the International Academy of Ecological Reconstruction much later (1993) and outside Russia, so this work was not carried out through the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation.

In the 1979-80s, in Novosibirsk, the author organized the country’s first room for activation prevention and therapy of chronic diseases, in which the main means for these purposes were not drugs and procedures, but the capabilities of the patient’s body, specifically its state of calm or increased activations that were specially selected and maintained for a long time using individually selected microdoses of natural adaptogens.

The cabinet was guided by the Methodological Recommendations of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, developed by the authors of the Discovery of adaptive reactions of “activation” and “training”. The work was carried out for the city and for the staff of one of the factories. Over the course of a year of operation, the office reduced the incidence of illness and work losses due to illness among chronic patients by almost 3 times, while simultaneously reducing their consumption of medications by tens of times. The methodology and results of the work were reported at the All-Russian Conference in 1979 at the Biological Center of the Academy of Sciences in Pushchino.

In 1982, in a completely critical life situation, there was a sudden discovery of extrasensory abilities, which made it possible to master the methods of extrasensory diagnostics and healing, as well as to select and prepare other people capable of the same [1]. This was done for geologists in the form of the country's first University of Health and Bioenergy in the Novosibirskgeology Association. Psychic instructors trained for field brigades and detachments that went into remote areas for a long time and were cut off from all types of medical care, except for emergency ones.

In 1988-90, the author, together with his colleagues and like-minded people, tested this concept in the Komi Oil Association with respect to 1000 people, as well as in other institutions of the Komi Republic, where he received good results. In 1991, he received a Patent of the Russian Federation for “Method of selecting food products for individual human nutrition.”

In the same year, in Golitsyno (near Moscow), an official testing of the methodology for selecting water and products for individual nutrition for various diseases was carried out. The testing was paid for by the International Academy of Ecological Reconstruction and was carried out in close cooperation with the Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Academy of Medical Sciences. In 1992, this Invention was published under the system of the World Intellectual Property Organization as having no analogues in 17 leading countries of the world. Moreover, the invention was classified as a diagnostic method, not a therapeutic one, and in the food industry, not medicine, since it was understood as a way to obtain additional (subjective) information about nutritional components.

In 1991, he was admitted to the International Academy of Ecological Reconstruction as Academician-Secretary of the Department of Reconstruction of Human Ecology. Due to the collapse of the USSR, instead of participating in the development and implementation of a state program for improving the nutrition and population of the country from 1991 to 2000, the author worked out the technique in private practice in Poland and Lithuania in relation to various patients and elderly people, although in general the age range was from 2.5-5 to 75 years.

The doctoral work was defended at the Academic Council of the All-Russian public organization “Professional Medical Association of Traditional Folk Medicine and Healing Specialists.” A number of books, articles and brochures have been written, methods for training consumers, instructors, methodologists and doctors have been developed, so that, in principle, it is possible to create a network of consulting and methodological offices and centers, moreover, in a single information space. Several author's developments are protected by priority under the system of the Russian Society of Authors, including in a new medical discipline. “Revitalization is the basis of the art of rejuvenation and an elite lifestyle.”

In 2002, he returned from abroad to Russia, where over the past 8 years he wrote and published a number of works in various academic and specialized journals, including the fundamental book “Ways of Renewal (how to improve the health of a person, medicine and the life of society)”, patented a Socio-technological project to improve the quality of life and improve the health of the indigenous population in a short time called “Dawn”, “Method for determining the individual water-food genetic code”, in the work - “Method and device for determining the gender of the energy of the human body at the cellular level "

In 2008, he was elected a Full Member of the European Academy of Natural Sciences (Germany, Hannover), worked for some time as a professor-methodologist at the Educational and Methodological Association of Social Universities of Russia, is the General Director of the Institute of Applied Social Innovation (LLC. Moscow), Full Member (academician ) International Academy of Innovative Social Technologies (Moscow) and the Public Academy of the Noosphere (St. Petersburg). Member of the Presidium of the Republican Confederation of Esotericists of Lithuania. Doctor of Esoteric Sciences. Full member of the Academy of Esoteric Sciences of the Republic of Lithuania. Married, has three adult children, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On behalf of the Program Support Committee of the President of the Russian Federation, the Certificate of Honor “To a Professional in His Field” was awarded.

[1] Specifically, the author knows a technique for remote correction of the body’s condition and health, which in the USA is presented as a method of “polar therapy”. There is an American Association of Polar Therapy Specialists in San Francisco, and in total this Association unites from 400 to 500 people in the United States (data from 1992). It must be said that when revitalizing feet with diabetic gangrene, in addition to careful selection of genetically correct nutrition and drinking water, the ability of the leader of such patients to master the technique and actively work with the “polar therapy” method is of great importance.
