Alexander Galushka was born on December 1, 1975 in the city of Klin, Moscow region.
In 1997, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Economics of Moscow State Social University (MGSU) with a degree in Economics and Sociology of Labor.
Since 1995, he worked at the Institute of Management Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences as a systems analyst.
In 1998, he headed the Assessment and Consulting Management Center LLC (“MOK-Center”).
In 2001, he graduated from the Plekhanov Institute of Plekhanov Russian Academy of Sciences with a degree in “Professional assessment and examination of objects and property rights.”
After graduating from MGSU, he took up entrepreneurial activity. He created several companies providing consulting services. Later they were united under the Key Partner , Galushka became the manager of the company.
Since 2004, he has been president of the non-profit partnership “Russian College of Appraisers” .
In 2010, he left his position, changing it to first vice president, then president, and then co-chairman of the All-Russian public organization “Business Russia”.
During the year - from August 2011 to June 2012 - he was a member of the State Commission on the socio-economic development of the Far East, the Republic of Buryatia, the Trans-Baikal Territory and the Irkutsk Region.
While participating in the work of the state commission, he developed and helped implement various programs - creating new jobs, demographic development of the country, national entrepreneurial initiative and others.
He leads the government’s interdepartmental working group to monitor and control the actual implementation of the road map “Development of competition and improvement of antimonopoly policy until 2020.”
He is the author of the concept of creating 25 million new jobs in Russia by 2020. The project was supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin .
In June 2013, he was elected one of the three co-chairs of the Central Headquarters of the public movement “People's Front “For Russia”. He soon left this post due to a new appointment.
On September 11, 2013, by decree of President V.V. Putin was appointed to the post of Minister for the Development of the Far East .
In May 2020, Galushka announced rather optimistic results of the past year:
“Last 2014 was a year of natural population growth in the Far East, the birth rate exceeded the death rate by 9,334 people. At the same time, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that in just one year, the outflow of population has decreased by more than a quarter. The growth of industrial production and the creation of new, modern, well-paid jobs attract people. Last year, the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug showed the highest growth in industrial production in the country - 134%. More than a thousand people came to new jobs,” the minister said.
In July 2020, it became known that the government would invest 13.8 billion rubles for infrastructure support for six investment projects in the Far East. At the same time, the volume of private investment will amount to 126.54 billion.
