In the beginning there was Grandma Lucy. She was reputed to be a great intellectual, an avid theatergoer and a person exceptionally well versed in painting and literature. Grandfather was an artist, an obedient husband and an eternal target for her unquestioned authority.
Andrei Kondrakhin's father, a military man, headed one of the departments of the headquarters of the USSR Navy. Mom worked as an ordinary engineer at one of the research institutes.
The intelligent Kondrakhin family lived in Moscow. When the Soviet Union ceased to exist in the early 90s and difficult times began for the new country, his parents, along with many others, shared the sad fate of families caught in the crucible of economic reforms, left without wages and any means of subsistence.

The unexpected arrival of an intelligent family of Muscovites caused a real sensation among local residents, who began to come in crowds to their house to admire the city white-handed women. However, the Kondrakhin family managed to have rabbits, chickens and geese in the first year, as well as harvest a decent harvest of tomatoes and cucumbers. The apple trees, which had received care and the right fertilizers from the well-read Father Andrei, were bursting with fruit. The assembled Antonovka was enough for a whole trailer, which Kondrakhin Sr. took to Moscow, where two Kondrakhin Jr. managed to sell it, earning as much as three thousand dollars for apples. The money was simply huge at that time.
By that time, the young artist Andrei Kondrakhin, who had already received a certificate of completion from the Moscow School of Artistic Crafts, decided to take up his real vocation and passion, laid down by his artist grandfather - to paint pictures.

Andrey Anatolyevich Kondrakhin was born on September 30, 1975 in Moscow. Father is a military man, mother is an engineer. Despite the skepticism of their neighbors, intellectuals far from agronomy succeeded in a new business. The first harvest was sold profitably, and then another and another. By this time, Andrei had already finally decided that he would devote his future to the artistic profession, like his grandfather - his mother’s father. In 1993, the guy graduated from the Moscow School of Artistic Crafts and prepared for a creative start.

Alas, the prevailing economic situation in the country at that time was not conducive to the flourishing of culture and art. Salons and galleries were only interested in painted souvenirs. Then the graduate decided to postpone his creative career until better times. Moreover, fate itself gave the Kondrakhin brothers a promising business.
Vocation
Soon Andrey was overtaken by his first professional disappointment. At that time, only balalaikas, budenovkas with a red star, nesting dolls and painted wooden eggs were in demand among tourists who flocked to Russia to gaze at the democracy that had triumphed over the communist system. His highly artistic “daub” was of no interest to anyone.
Andrey became depressed, but still sat down to work. A week later, he brought to a souvenir shop on Arbat the fruits of creativity that was unusual for him - a painted matryoshka doll and two eggs. They bought a matryoshka doll for two dollars, but rejected the eggs altogether, since all the counters were already littered with them.
At that moment, Andrei Kondrakhin realized that he would have to wait a while with creativity and, despite the generally accepted opinion that a real artist must remain hungry, he nevertheless decided to first try to create his own business that could ensure his existence.
Training and career start
Having received a diploma from an artistic craft school, Andrei Kondrakhin decided to earn money by doing what he could. But, as it turned out, no one needs his paintings in mass demand. Tourists from different countries, and therefore shops, need painted wooden eggs and nesting dolls.
Overcoming his pride, Andrey painted 2 eggs and 1 nesting doll in a week, receiving only 2 dollars for it. This is because the seller refused to take most of the items.
And then Andrei Kondrakhin’s abandoned dental business falls into his hands. Having invested all the money, he and his brother renovated the old kindergarten and installed 2 cars there, which began to bring them money.
Business
Already in 1994, he came across an interesting and suitable option. One acquaintance of his close friend, who worked as a dentist in one of the private clinics, quarreled with the management and was looking for a new place of work for herself and her former staff. This was an opportunity that the young entrepreneur hastened to seize.
Together with his brother, Andrei rented an abandoned kindergarten, borrowed money for repairs and a minimum set of equipment, and a year later opened his first small dental office, which just a few years later turned into a modern elite two-story medical office, combining a dental and surgical department for in vitro fertilization.
In 1998, Andrei Kondrakhin and his brother Sergei, strong co-owners of the business, decided to attract new clients, for which they needed to conduct an advertising campaign, the face of which was unanimously chosen by the famous actor and public figure Stanislav Sadalsky.
If only Andrei had known then how dramatically this choice would change his life.
Career
The decision to adapt the dilapidated building of the capital’s kindergarten for a new modern dentistry came spontaneously: a dentist friend, having quarreled with the landlord, was looking for a new office for private practice.
The brothers invested money in building materials and a crew, and acted as auxiliary workers themselves: they plastered, painted, and took out the trash. Soon, a renovated clinic building stood on the construction site. Another part of the funds went to high-tech equipment. And after a little more time, the clinic began to generate income.

After 5 years, the Askon clinic had a solid staff of doctors and nursing staff. The two-story medical center opened an implantology department and its own dental laboratory. A little later, a surgical department for in vitro fertilization appeared here.
Patients from all over the country began to come to Kondrakhin’s clinic, and thanks to connections in show business, there was no end to famous clients.
Getting to know Kandelaki
By the time he met his destiny, he was twenty-one years old. He already had several serious novels under his belt, and he himself was firmly convinced that there was nothing more valuable to him than freedom, and the girl for whom he could sacrifice this principle of his was not yet born.
Andrei was introduced to the future TV personality by the same Sadalsky who starred in an advertisement for his clinic. In the times preceding the events described, Stanislav and Kondrakhin had already become the best of friends. One fine day, Sadalsky invited Andrei to meet his beautiful radio partner, Tina Kandelaki, who had recently moved to Moscow from Georgia.
Andrei, who had repeatedly heard his friend’s radio broadcasts, was already familiar with her shrill voice and manner of chattering on air. And I didn’t just know him, but I categorically didn’t like him.
However, Sadalsky insisted on a meeting, and that same evening the three of them went to a restaurant.
The look and smile of the Georgian beauty immediately caught Andrey’s attention.
After dinner, he volunteered to take everyone home. Having dropped off Sadalsky, Andrei and Tina went to have tea at the girl’s rented apartment.
A couple of weeks later, Andrei Kondrakhin moved in with his beloved. However, he immediately honestly warned her that they were two free people. Tina nodded in agreement.
So four months of open relationship passed. It ended with the girl finally demanding an explanation as to whether they were together or apart. That evening they separated. The following dialogue took place between Tina and Andrey:

Andrei’s phone also became the personal property of his wife, who, in a desperate fit of jealousy, reached the point that one day she even called about thirty subscribers with female names, finding out with whom and what kind of relationship her husband was connected.
In public, they gave the impression of an ideal family, whose life was always filled with a sea of mutual love and tenderness.
Children
On January 11, 2000, Andrei and Tina had a daughter, Melania, and on April 28, 2002, a son, Leonty.
Kandelaki, whose career took off sharply at that time, physically had no time to raise children. The husband took on this responsibility.
As a result, both Leonty and Melania literally grew up in Andrei’s arms. It was he who got up to them at night, fed them, changed diapers and rocked them to sleep, while also managing to run his clinic.
