Ksenia Korneva - biography, photo, personal life, news 2020

Childhood and youth

Ksenia was born in Novosibirsk. The KVN star celebrates her birthday on February 5th. Many fans are interested in how old Ksyusha is, her weight and height. At the moment, Korneva is 31 years old, weighs 92 kg and is 170 cm tall. At the same time, Ksyusha has always been a plump girl. At first she was very complex about this, but over time she realized that this was her “trick”.

Ksenia Korneva in her youth

Ksenia's parents had nothing to do with humor, but were positive people. Laughter and singing together were always heard in the family. Ksyusha and her brother Alexey later became artists: the girl chose KVN, and her brother chose theater.

Ksyusha studied at a regular high school in Novosibirsk, but already at the age of 9 she was an artist of the local KVN team. Although all this was quite primitive and modest, the girl already realized that laughter was her future.

After graduating from school, Ksyusha enters the Novosibirsk University of Economics and Management. A team of cheerful and resourceful people was assembled at the university. Freshman Korneva immediately expressed a desire to participate in performances. At this time, the team just needed a girl of her build for a performance, and Ksenia was accepted into the team.

Game in KVN

Korneva made her first attempts at playing KVN as part of the university team “Reel in the Fishing Rods,” which became known as “Mega.” Ksenia’s role was very broad; she played in mixed teams, both women’s and men’s. The actress was part of the girls' team "Bust of Lenin", as well as for the men's team "Heart of Siberia".

At the same time, she received an offer to play in the KVN Major League for the Raisa team. The team was already quite popular and consisted of girls. Ksenia decided to consult with her parents and KVN comrades. Everyone supported the actress and she went to new heights. Worth o was the girl's favorite team.

The team warmly accepted the cheerful and easy-going Ksyusha, so she soon became a favorite of the public. Basically, the actress’s roles were of boy-woman, which was facilitated by the girl’s build, but Kornev was quite happy with this. Endless morning rehearsals and gatherings after midnight did not become an obstacle for the girl; she quickly got used to this regime. The main goal was beautiful rooms.

The bright participant was noticed by many producers, including the show “Ural Dumplings”.

Club of cheerful and resourceful people

So, Korneva is a member of a university team called “Reel in the Fishing Rods.” Later it became a national team and changed its name to “Mega”. Ksenia changed her team more than once - she became a participant in both all-female and all-male companies.

So, playing for the girls’ team “Bust of Lenin”, she made it to the final games of the Central League, and then to the KVN First League. After this, Korneva moved to the Novosibirsk national team called “Heart of Siberia”. Here she was a real queen among 11 male “subjects”.

Ksenia Korneva at different times was a member of several KVN teams

But the general public remembers Ksenia as a representative of the women’s national team of Irkutsk “Raisa”. The invitation to the girl came from an old friend and at the same time the creative leader of the team. Korneva thought, consulted and made a positive decision. Her mother was very happy about this, since “Raisy” was her favorite KVN team.

Ksenia was incredibly worried and worried, not knowing how she would be perceived in a completely unfamiliar team. But all the worries disappeared as if by hand after the first meeting.

Kornevoy had to get used to the fact that the girls started rehearsing early in the morning. After all, earlier - in the old teams - rehearsals took place in the evening and smoothly flowed into the night. But very soon the girl realized that such a start to the day gave her great pleasure.

Participant in the show “Ural Dumplings”

In 2020, Ksenia received an offer to become one of the participants in the show on STS “Ural Dumplings”. Ksyusha did not hesitate for long and accepted the offer, realizing that this was an opportunity. She begins filming in a program where her partners are Yulia Mikhalkova and Ilana Yuryeva. All the girls look great in tandem, each is unique in its own way.

For the first time, Ksenia appeared in the role of the wife of Andrei Rozhkov’s character, but at the same time, Ksenia’s short films with the participation of Dmitry Brekotkin were named the best numbers. Each performance of the couple is accompanied by a storm of emotions from the audience. The actors feel each other and help during force majeure.

In 2020, Ksenia moved to Moscow because of “Ural dumplings”. The girl sold all her property in Novosibirsk in 2 weeks. My parents became my main support. Mom was very happy for her daughter and encouraged her in every possible way.

Having moved to the capital, Ksenia decided to take an important action. She sent a letter to the director of the KVN channel about cooperation. Unexpectedly, he receives a positive response and an invitation to the position. Korneva becomes editor-in-chief of the KVN channel.

Currently, she continues to work in both directions: acting and journalism. Ksenia is successful in all her endeavors.

Korneva sings a lot, although she has no professional musical education. The artist is especially successful at parodies of Alla Pugacheva.

A girl's dream is to try herself in cinema. Ksyusha very often attends various castings and auditions to make her way to her dream. Most recently, the artist received an offer to star in a comedy series.

Now she is popular, thousands of fans follow her life. The girl has over 27 thousand followers on Instagram.

Ksenia Korneva: “Getting married for a stamp in my passport is not about me”

A member of the KVN team “Raisa” Ksenia Korneva pleased many fans with her bright role in the TV series “Roots”. In addition, she can be seen on TV in the show “Ural Dumplings”, where the artist has been working for many years. While in quarantine, like all Muscovites, Ksenia spoke with WomanHit.ru remotely and talked about her life.

“Over the past month, our lives have changed a lot. Perhaps the self-isolation regime also affected you?

- Certainly. I sit at home, like all normal people. If, of course, there are work matters that cannot be done from home, then I go out. And so I have an apartment, food, which is always available, unfortunately (smiles). This is a little frustrating, I’m trying to force myself to move with the help of fitness bands. I save myself by cleaning, sorting out closets and things that I never got around to before. I keep trying to buy English language courses, but for now there is something to do without them. Books, TV series and work. Everything is done remotely now.

— Is it possible for an artist to work remotely now?

“My artistic activity, my work at Ural Dumplings, has specifically stopped. But I also have a parallel job at KVN-TV, where I am the chief editor of the channel. And this work can be done remotely. So for now there is something to do, but I’m starting to miss the stage, rehearsals, concerts, tours... This is sorely missing.

— Many admit that they have now started actively downloading TV series and watching TV. Don't you watch projects with your participation?

— We always watch “Roots” with pleasure! For example, I was waiting for an episode that is not on the Internet to see how everything was edited - I was interested. I also watch “Friends” in English with subtitles so that I can understand roughly what it’s about. That is, new English words are learned with the help of the characters in the series. Well, I’m watching a bunch of shows on YouTube that I didn’t have enough time for before.

— And how do you feel about viewing your work?

— To be honest, I am very self-critical, and my partner in the series Renat Mukhambayev is like that too. It’s hard for us to look at ourselves, it’s unusual. For example, I admire him, but not myself. He has exactly the same reaction towards me, he says that I do a wonderful job as an actor. It's also very interesting for me to watch the parts in which I'm not in, because I didn't see how they were filmed. I worry about all the characters, I try to abstract myself from what is on the screen: I worry about Irishka, about Mukha, for whom many events are happening, as if this does not apply to me at all. Addictive! Although I know how it will end, I am interested in watching the developments.

— Tell me, how did you get into this series?

- In fact, the story began a long time ago. The series was written back in 2017, and I passed the casting in December of the same year. I was refused, and I forgot about this story. But then the director changed, the producers changed - a lot of things changed. And then in April last year they called me and said that I had been approved for the role. It was on the set of “Ural Dumplings”, and I was simply stunned, I didn’t even understand how it happened! But then I met the director and the entire film crew, and it turned out that several people remembered me at the same time. These are the screenwriters, the director’s wife is the cameraman in “Dumplings”. In general, a lot of stars came together in the sky to make all this happen. And that's great. This means that I had no option not to play this role. It was some kind of magic, I’m not afraid of this word.

— In the series you play with a competitor from the KVN team “Kamyzyaki”? So what does it feel like?

— I would rather call Kamyzyak friends. We have known each other for a very long time. During the KVN games we just communicated well. Renat Mukhambayev always amused me a lot, being just a KVN player. When in April the situation arose that we should play love-dislike together, he wrote to me: “Well, shall we work?” And he and I began to be afraid together, because everyone around us were actors with education, and we were kind of like KVN players without much film experience. Mucha once played in a movie, but I had no such experience at all. They began to discuss how this would all happen. We held on to each other like hamsters. We were always together, and everyone helped us on the set, which was very nice. We treated it, I would even say, with trepidation, because we understood: we simply don’t know many things. After the premiere, we heard a lot of compliments that we were able to convey the images, so that they were not inferior to professional actors. If people say this, it means this is a huge victory for us.

In the TV series “Roots,” the heroine Ksenia has a difficult romantic relationship with Mukha, played by Renat Mukhambayev, a member of the KVN team “Kamyzyaki.”

STS channel

— You also have some kind of romantic story in the series with the hero of Renat Mukhambayev. What was it like playing with him, knowing that he had a spouse?

- Albina and I know each other - she is wonderful, very talented, sings very cool, and she is also from KVN. As an artist’s wife, she fully understood our “film love,” because Mukha and I are friends and nothing more. And all sorts of romantic stories were difficult for us to play, because we were constantly laughing and could not take it seriously. But I think it would have been much more difficult if we had not known each other before filming and we had to play romantic things, so that only helped us.

— You can’t take away your sense of humor. How often has it come in handy not only in work, but also in life?

— Yes, I have had a sense of humor and a desire to play KVN since childhood. I played it at school. Then, in order to play more seriously in KVN, I had to go to college. Which is what I did. (Smiles.) At the institute, playing, as a rule, gets in the way because it takes a lot of time. There was one case when KVN helped us. We studied in the specialty “Organization Management”, and we had the subject “Small Business”. We wrote a bunch of jokes about markets, about individual entrepreneurs and asked us to take the exam early because we had to go to Sochi for a festival. The teacher said: “Then come up with something interesting.” We showed him the KVN business card. We inserted terms that we knew at that time into it and got an A. But this was the first and only time when a sense of humor helped us. The rest of the time in the dean's office they constantly poked us: oh, you and your KVN... But after the first television broadcast, the attitude towards us changed dramatically: oh, and it turns out that a star is studying here! That's what they told me then. But in general, KVN and studies should be separated and try as much as possible to be on time everywhere.

“I can’t help but ask how easy it was to join the close-knit team of Ural Dumplings.” How were you received there?

— It wasn’t very difficult to join there, because the guys are also KVN players. And even if you are 17, even if you are 58, you still remain a KVN member. It is much easier to find a common language with these people. In “Pelmeni” an actress was needed for one number. The authors of the show, with whom I once played in one of the KVN leagues, called me and said that I needed to do a number with Andrei Rozhkov. I agreed with pleasure. The next day I flew to Yekaterinburg. Everything happened quite well, and I was invited to the next concert again. At first it was not very clear how long this story would last, but the further it went, the more numbers I participated in. The authors revealed me gradually, and somehow people realized that I could do different things, not just play a grumpy wife (laughs). But due to my build and my role, most often, of course, I am a wife in a robe and slippers, swearing at someone. But with all this, the guys began to give me the freedom to do something else, for example, sing. I'm starting to get musical numbers. In general, it’s established! I have been watching “Ural dumplings” in KVN since childhood, no matter how terrible it may sound for them (laughs). Nevertheless, this was truly a favorite team. And I have a huge sense of responsibility, I cannot let them down. They are legends, they are great, so I try to do everything to the maximum, otherwise there is no other way.

Ksenia Korneva has been sailing in the same boat with the participants of the Ural Dumplings show for several years now.

— You already sing in musical numbers. How are you developing your musical career?

— I don’t have any musical career, there are only a few videos on Instagram where I just sing for the camera. But a song from Ksenia Korneva is unlikely to appear in the near future. I really like to sing, but while I sing other people’s songs, I don’t know how to write my own, I don’t have a musical education, and I perform what I hear, and not what I played myself. I love karaoke: just turn on the music and I’ll sing along. Maybe someday we’ll perform a song with “Kamyzyaki”, but this is all talk for now, I have no specific musical plans

“Everyone really hopes that someday the quarantine will end and we will return to normal life.” How do you usually spend your free time?

— Usually there is very little free time, but I like it. I feel very bad when I am without work, and at this time I feel uncomfortable. Of course, I needed rest, and everyone was very tired, and now it seems like you can rest, but literally two or three days are enough for me - and I want to work. When I have time between filming, I just start tidying up my house. I love household chores. Sometimes I like to go to the movies, sometimes I like to meet friends whom I don’t see for months due to my busy schedule. If possible, I go to Europe for three days, switch my brain and devote time only to myself. There are always a lot of people around me, and I seem to be an open person, but sometimes I really need to hide in a hole, not see or hear anyone. A short time is enough to reboot, and I’m ready to jump into the work flow again.

The actress dreams of finding time to buy her own apartment

— Many of your colleagues complain that with such a schedule there is no time left for personal life...

- This is true. But here, of course, needs are important. At this stage, my first priority is work. And it is very difficult to find a man who will put up with such busyness. I need to pay attention to him, but I don’t have time for that, unfortunately. I'm fine for now. There are so many things to do, there’s simply no time to think about it (smiles). I think as soon as the right one appears, there will, of course, be time for him.

— That is, there are no clear plans for a future wedding and children?

“All my life everything depends on the situation.” I didn’t plan to play in “Dumplings”, I didn’t dream of playing in the series. Everything happens naturally for me. It’s clear that there are some dreams deep down in my soul, but somehow everything just works out over time, and I try not to interfere with this process. It's the same in your personal life. Everything has its time. Maybe I would have met him now, but suddenly he was in contact with someone who flew in from Europe, and I can’t take that risk (laughs). So now you can only meet someone on the Internet, and I am very skeptical about this. Now, for example, there are a lot of divorces in China because people were forced to spend a lot of time together in quarantine. As a result, the couple simply separated because people realized that they could not spend much time together, and this made them sad. It should be interesting to be with a person, but getting married for the sake of a stamp in the passport is not about me.

— You yourself are from Novosibirsk. Have you finally settled in Moscow or are you wandering between two cities?

— Actually, I live in Moscow, I have all my things here. I appear at home extremely rarely, I come to spend the night, mostly. Every month I fly to Yekaterinburg for six days for rehearsals and concerts of Ural Dumplings. At this time I am renting an apartment there. I also have a rented apartment in Moscow, because I can’t afford to buy it... I never thought I’d say this, but I don’t have time to buy an apartment in Moscow (laughs). This is kind of absurd, of course. I had the idea to do this during quarantine when it just started, but now I understand that it’s better not to spend money, but to sit quietly until this whole nightmare is over. But someday I’ll get a place to live. I have been in my rented apartment for three years now; the location is very convenient for me: I live between work in Moscow and Sheremetyevo airport. These are the two places where I appear most often.
