How 1990s star Larisa Chernikova lives today

Childhood

Shepeleva (maiden name) Larisa Vladimirovna was born on August 17, 1974. in Kursk.

The girl was raised by her mother and grandmother. The father left the family when Larisa was not even six months old. Mother, Tatyana Shepeleva, played the piano and performed a lot. The mother's profession influenced her daughter, immersed her in the world of art and instilled in her a love of music. Already as a child, Larisa organized concerts on a bench near her house. Her idol was Alla Pugacheva.

The girl grew up as an obedient child. At school she was distinguished by diligent behavior and active participation in the life of the school and class.

Due to her mother’s work, at the age of 6 Larisa moved to Moscow.

Education

Since 1980, Laura has been singing in the church choir. Her gentle voice sounded in the Epiphany Cathedral for 10 years. During this time, the girl learns not only church singing, but also literacy.

In 1990 the singer enters the music school named after. Gnessin, but soon transferred to the Institute of Culture. Larisa received a diploma of graduation from the university in 1997.

As a student, the artist gets into the Nadezhda Babkina Song and Dance Ensemble. Performing in a group gives Larisa invaluable experience and helps her understand the intricacies of the profession. At the same time, the young artist met many pop stars. He makes friends with the singer Shura.

After a year and a half, the singer leaves the ensemble and begins a solo career.

Creative path

The vocalist's debut took place in 1994 at Luzhniki with the song "Music of Rain". A little later, Larisa shoots her first video.

It was this composition that the young artist became interested in producer Sergei Obukhov. He invited her to meet and discuss the terms of cooperation. The negotiations resulted in the signing of a ten-year contract. Working together with Sergei was Larisa’s start to dizzying success and fame.

In the same year, a video was shot for the song “You fly, my star...”, and in 1995 the singer released her first album, “Lone Wolf.” The first disc was well received by the public, but the second album, entitled “Give Me the Night,” created a sensation.

The presentation of the album took place in the summer of 1996. The song of the same name took the top of all domestic charts, it was heard from all sides. The singer dedicated this composition to her husband. On the eve of the presentation of the record, he died tragically.

The song “Don’t Laugh” from the same album received no less popularity.

Sad events shook the star's health. Larisa is unable to follow the busy schedule set by Sergei Obukhov. The singer breaks her contract early.

Despite all the problems that fell on the shoulders of the fragile artist, she continues her creative path. Mom lends a helping hand and becomes her producer. She also writes lyrics for some of her daughter's songs. To earn money, Larisa gets a job as a teacher at a music school.

Soon luck smiled on the talented artist; she signed a contract with a new producer. It was Alexander Tolmatsky.

Larisa Chernikova released her third album “The Secret” in 1997. This year can rightfully be considered the most successful in the artist’s career. The songs “Mystery” and “Airplane in Love” are known to everyone, and the artist herself is at the peak of her popularity.

In the same year, the vocalist delights fans with a new phonogram and video entitled “I am Shura - a gentle child.” The year 2000 was marked by the release of videos for the songs “Sailor”, “I Want to Be with You” and “This Truth is Love”.

The following years were not so successful for Larisa Chernikova. She managed to release only three albums: “I will become rain” (2003), “About love that never melts” (2004), “Angel” (2008). After this, the artist disappeared from the stage for a long time, and only in 2020 did it become known about her desire to return to show business.

Personal life of Larisa Chernikova

Larisa got married while still a student. The husband was Moscow businessman Andrei Chernikov, who helped his wife in every possible way in the implementation of her creative plans. He not only participated in the selection of material for the songs, but also rented a recording studio. But the happiness did not last long. Two years later, Larisa was widowed. The tragedy happened in the spring of 1996.

At this time, the singer was preparing to release her second album. Returning home late, Larisa did not find her husband at home. He didn't come the next day either. After some time, Andrei was found murdered at his father’s grave. One of the possible reasons for the tragedy is the debt for renting a recording studio.

Chernikova began to be pursued by unknown people, demanding to pay her husband’s debts. The star had no choice but to sell all her property and pay off her creditors. Larisa returned to her mother empty-handed.

The young star took the loss of her loved one very hard. She practically did not go outside, sat in her room and stared at one point for hours. Creativity helped Larisa Chernikova escape from depression and quickly recover from the tragedy; she immersed herself in work.

The singer tried to find female happiness again with an American businessman named James. Larisa found her new love on the Internet. At the beginning of their acquaintance, the singer did not talk about her profession to her chosen one. James learned that Chernikova was a famous Russian singer a year after their marriage. The couple lived in America.

Second husband James took Chernikova to the USA

In the fall of 2005, Larisa gave her husband a son, Kirill.

Family happiness was destroyed by James's addiction to alcohol. The singer filed for divorce. But soon after the divorce, Larisa found a man. It turned out to be farmer Richard. They were not together for long; the American was convicted of treason. Chernikova could not forgive the betrayal.

Today, the 90s star lives in the USA on his own farm, where he is engaged in agricultural activities: raising cattle and cultivating the land. Larisa successfully sells her own natural products.

With my son

In Russia, the star appeared in Andrei Malakhov’s program. She said that she is ready to give birth to a child and is even considering the option of artificial insemination. But the sperm donor must be a Slavic man.

Larisa Chernikova was not spared from dirty rumors either. In 2020, information appeared in the media about her love affair with Alexander Domogarov, as well as about an incurable illness and death. The famous actor dispelled the gossip, he said that he had a girlfriend, the full namesake of the famous singer.

As for Larisa Chernikova, she looks great, feels great and, perhaps, we will soon see her on stage again.

Personal life[ | ]

On June 25, 1993, she married 26-year-old businessman Andrei Chernikov. Her husband supported Larisa in her singing career, renting a studio to record his wife’s albums. 2 years and 9 months after the wedding, on April 3, 1996, her husband was killed.

Larisa dedicated a song called “Who?!..” to Andrey, and the basis for the plot of the video for this song was the tragic events associated with his murder. The young widow also dedicated her second album, released in 1996, entitled “Give Me the Night,” to her husband.

In 2000, Larisa met American businessman James through a virtual dating service (without advertising that she was a popular singer - she told her husband about this only a year later, after she had already gotten married). She left the stage, moved to Thailand, where she lived for 2 years and gave birth to her son Kirill (September 1, 2005). Lived in the USA for more than 10 years. Divorced from James[1].

Larisa now

In recent years, Chernikova has been living with her son in a private house in the USA, Texas. They travel a lot together. Larisa and Kirill managed to visit California, Florida and New York. A quiet, measured life is conducive to creativity.

In the USA, Larisa made repeated attempts to realize herself as a composer. She wrote several songs for one of the American youth groups. She failed to achieve great success abroad.

In 2020, the singer is finishing work on a new album, “Mantras in Sanskrit.” Experimental creativity helped her find herself again. Larisa became interested in Eastern philosophy after traveling to India.

Mantras are sacred words written in ancient Sanskrit. Sounds are pronounced in a strictly defined order. Each sound has a sacred meaning.

Inspired by success, Larisa does not stop there. In the winter of 2020, she is releasing a new collection, “The Law of Om,” filled with new mantras. This is the singer's fourth album since her departure to the United States.

In Russia, Chernikova is loved and remembered as a star of the 90s. She is often invited to concerts in retro style. The singer does not yet plan a final move to Russia.

And life turned upside down

For Larisa, the news about the death of her loved one came as a real blow. For a long time she could not believe that all this was happening in reality. She expected Andrei to come into the room in a minute with a bouquet of flowers. In one day, she went from a happy and successful singer to a heartbroken woman. Larisa lost everything and was forced to move from a large house to her mother's apartment.

But financial difficulties worried the singer little. She just didn't want to live. Larisa just lay there all day and didn’t want to see anyone. Only thanks to her mother's care was she able to return to normal life. To a life where there was no place for men.

For a long time, Larisa simply avoided the attention of men. She plunged headlong into work in order to somehow forget about her grief. She received attention from businessmen, politicians, and even an Arab sheikh, but she was not interested in new relationships.
