Childhood and youth
The poet was born in 1956 in Chelyabinsk in the family of a factory worker and a housewife. The Mityaevs lived amicably; Oleg and his brother Stanislav helped their parents with housework from an early age. Mixed blood flows in the brothers' veins. They are Russian on their father's side and Mordvinian on their mother's side.
Being an enthusiastic person, Oleg dreamed of becoming a dog handler, a swimmer, or a geologist, but at the first opportunity he went to study as an editor at a technical school. After graduating from a secondary specialized educational institution, the guy served in the Navy, where he ended up in the guard of the admiral of the fleet of the Soviet Union. After demobilization, he entered the Institute of Physical Education, where he received a specialty as a swimming coach.

Oleg Mityaev in childhood
The future artist became acquainted with bard songs at a pioneer camp, where he went to work for the summer. Oleg easily managed to master playing the guitar, and the first song he performed was warmly received by the audience. At one time, the young man headed a club in a holiday resort, then collaborated with the Chelyabinsk Philharmonic. It is interesting that Oleg did not plan to be a singer and went to work at the Philharmonic because of the official housing.
Mityaev decided to expand his knowledge of art, so he went to the capital to enter the theater institute. This action was largely influenced by a letter from Bulat Okudzhava, which the famous bard personally wrote to his young but already famous colleague in Chelyabinsk. The artist remained in Moscow, where he graduated from the correspondence department of GITIS in 1991.
Born on February 19, 1956 in Chelyabinsk. Father is a worker at the Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant. Mother is a housewife. In 1963 entered elementary school No. 59. Then in 1967 to secondary school No. 55. In 1969 he moved to secondary school No. 68. As a child, Mityaev wanted to become a dog breeder (cynologist) and tamed all the dogs in the area. The mother raised her strictly but fairly. His father drank, so Oleg himself did not drink alcohol until he was thirty. I studied poorly at school, so I really loved vacations and breaks.
The guitar started out like everyone else's. Boys and girls learned the "eight" pattern without knowing any chords yet. Then a guitar appeared, which initially had two strings, and everyone learned to play “Gypsy Girl,” because it is very convenient to play on two strings. When all the strings appeared, “little star”, “big star”, “barre”, “Hymn to the Rising Sun” and the whole set of those years began: “Step from me to you...”, “Blue-blue frost...”, etc. .d.
In 1971 Because of his love for the song “March of Installers,” he entered and in 1975 graduated from the Chelyabinsk Assembly College with a degree in electrical engineering, but quickly realized that it was not for him. From 1975 to 1977 he served in the army. He had to serve in the city of Moscow, where he guarded the admiral of the fleet of the Soviet Union, was a sailor, and wore a naval uniform.
In 1977 he entered and in 1981 graduated from the Chelyabinsk Institute of Physical Education with honors. Speciality
- swimming coach. From 1981 - 85 he worked as a teacher at the institute and head. club in the boarding house "Sosnovaya Gorka" near Chelyabinsk. We met Petya Startsev at the Institute of Physical Education, when we were harvesting potatoes, and began to sing a duet.
After listening to Mityaev’s first songs, Okudzhava will say: “Oleg Mityaev has an indomitable desire to improve, to work on himself. And this is sometimes more important than a consistently even, average, good level. When work doesn’t stop, it means a discovery is brewing.”
In 1985 invited to work at the Chelyabinsk Philharmonic as an artist. From 1986 to 1991 he graduated from GITIS. Lunacharsky. And none of the education received has been useful so far.
Oleg Mityaev starred in several films: the film “Two Hours with the Bards” (Mosfilm), the film “Game with the Unknown” (A. Dovzhenko Film Studio), the film “Safari Number Six” and “The Killer” (Sverdlovskaya studio). Mityaev has been writing songs based on his poems since 1979.
In 1987, Mityaev met Konstantin Tarasov, and they began performing together. With him as an arranger and second guitarist, three Mityaev records and three CDs were recorded.
Until the age of sixteen, Konstantin Tarasov lived with his parents in a small Kolyma village, and always played something. In 1972, as part of the ensemble
Tarasov became a laureate of the All-Union Festival of Amateur Creativity.
“After we moved to Moscow, I played in small orchestras and studied guitar, and composed a little,” says K. Tarasov. — I still treat composers as celestial beings... I graduated from the history department of the pedagogical institute, deciding not to study music. But everything returned to normal. We met with Oleg Mityaev, and I went to work at the Chelyabinsk Philharmonic...”
In 1992, with a group of actors from the Theater. Mossovet O. Mityaev and K. Tarasov participated in the play “Big Vladimir” (Mityaev in the role of V. Mayakovsky, Tarasov as an actor and author of music for the play). The play premiered in Italy.
In recent years, Oleg Mityaev has been working with accompanist and arranger Leonid Margolin, with whom he recorded 3 albums, including the album “Be strong, people! Summer is coming soon!". S. Manukyan and the group “Ariel” took part in the recording of the album - this is Mityaev’s ninth album. Also with Leonid Margolin, Oleg Mityaev recorded the album “ZhZL” and an album based on poems by I. Brodsky and music by Leonid Margolin, which were released in 2002.
To such songs by Oleg Mityaev as “Summer is a little life”, “Good morning, darling”, “Road” and “Be strong, people! Summer is coming soon!" Video clips were shot and included in a videotape recording of the concert at the Rossiya State Central Concert Hall.
Oleg Mityaev’s concerts usually last from two and a half to three hours, although the word “concert” in the usual sense does not quite fit Mityaev’s performance. His concert is pure improvisation, the songs depend on the mood of the audience, and jokes and memories depend on the intonation of a word spoken by someone in the audience. Despite the fact that Mityaev’s songs are often sad, Mityaev is very cheerful on stage, the audience reacts well to his jokes, although there is sadness in the songs.
On tour, Mityaev traveled all over Russia and many countries: he was in Germany and the USA, France and Israel, Italy and South Africa (twice), where he recorded a disc in the hall of the National Theater in Pretoria, and the disc was also released in Cologne (Germany).
Oleg Mityaev has published several collections of songs, including the book “Songs” - to date the most complete collection of his works: poems, notes, notebooks, a collection of notes from the audience, many photographs, a new book “The Bright Past” is being prepared, the compiler of which is R.A. Shipov. It included 18 unreleased songs: very early ones that were never
were recorded on any disc, and very late, not yet recorded.
In 2001, the Russian Poetry Foundation awarded Mityaev the Petropol Prize for the poetry collection “Non-Holiday Things.”
Oleg Mityaev came from Chelyabinsk and instantly made friends, including artists, cosmonauts, doctors - people of different nations and different professions. They are drawn to him. It's warm and light next to him. Oleg built a large house and placed a large table on the plot. And everyone comes and sits down - that very case when “let’s raise our glasses, let’s move them together” or “It’s great that we’ve all gathered here today...” There is some kind of magic in these Mityaevsky words. It would seem, what kind of phrase?.. Elementary, like “A Christmas tree was born in the forest, it grew in the forest”... Just to the point of primitivism. And so this Christmas tree lives - from year to year, from decade to decade. And Mityaev’s line is of the same fate.
For tourists and the sociable public, Mityaev means “It’s great that we are all gathered here today.” For the restaurant public it is “Unsharpened Knives” and other songs from the repertoire of M. Shufutinsky. Of those who love the art song, some unconditionally assign him first place in the “new wave” of bard song, others just as unconditionally declare that Mityaev is not an art song at all.
Section Musicians and Performers
Music and films
The song, first performed for a wide audience at the bard song festival in 1978, immediately made Oleg Mityaev popular. And he doesn’t get tired of singing the lines over and over again today:
“It’s great that we are all here today.”
His second song appeared the next year; the poet wrote it in honor of the birth of his son. He then composed songs on a variety of topics, from politics to love. Interestingly, the musical composition “Be strong, people, summer is coming” was even heard in space during the six-month stay of Russian and American cosmonauts in orbit.

Oleg Mityaev and Diana Gurtskaya
During his career, the musician managed to perform in many countries, his songs have been translated into many languages, including German and Hebrew. Oleg’s work has become a kind of window into Russia for European listeners.
The composer’s concerts are held in a unique way - to some extent, they are a singer’s performance, a creative evening, and a one-man performance. The artist communicates with the audience in an improvisational style, captures the general mood and performs his sometimes sad songs with a smile on his face.

Personal life
As Oleg Mityaev stated in an interview, love is a certain substance that is not subject to planning and prediction. The singer said this based on personal experience. In his youth, he dreamed of getting married and living his whole life in love with one woman, but this desire was not destined to come true. He is currently married to his third marriage.
Oleg Mityaev does not like to talk about his personal life, and if he has to, he speaks reluctantly and sparingly. Oleg’s first wife was a girl named Svetlana, who studied with him at the university. She did rhythmic gymnastics and amazed her chosen one with her beauty. The young couple became the parents of a son, Sergei.

Musician Oleg Mityaev
Soon Oleg fell in love with another woman, which he honestly told his wife about. After the divorce, he took his second chosen one, Marina, to the registry office, but continued to help the first family financially. The second marriage produced sons Philip and Savva. Together with Marina, who was fond of bard songs, Mityaev often performed at festivals and concerts. The woman has not given up her artistic path even today.
The union with Marina was long-lasting, but the wife rarely saw her husband, because he disappeared on tour, where he fell in love again, this time with the actress Marina Esipenko. After much mental anguish, they left their families and began to live together, and then got married.
The character of the famous composer is perfectly reflected in his work; by nature, Oleg Mityaev is a soft, calm, kind person. Although the man has moved to Moscow many years ago, he is still attached to his small homeland - the poet visits Chelyabinsk with concerts several times a year.

Oleg Mityaev now
Now Oleg Mityaev continues to collaborate with guitarists Leonid Margolin and Rodion Marchenko, who work on stage as the bard’s accompanists. As the author-performer admits, during his creative biography he has never been able to master the instrument perfectly, so at concerts he needs the help of professionals.
