The birth of a cult group
The newly formed group was rapidly gaining popularity. The secret of success lay in the unusual timbre of Valery’s voice, which gives listeners goosebumps. Kipelov was not only a vocalist, but also the author of some songs of “Aria”. In 1987, a scandal occurred in the group, and some of the musicians went into free swimming. As a result, Vekshtein remained with Valery Kipelov and Vladimir Kholstinin. Later they were joined by Maxim Udalov, Sergey Mavrin and Vitaly Dubinin.
The stunning success was abruptly interrupted by the 90s, when people's priority was to feed their families rather than attend rock concerts. Valery had to look for ways to somehow make ends meet.
