The difficult fate and early departure of the artist from the film “Wild Dog Dingo”. Vladimir Osobik
Soviet cinema is very rich in worthy films that we love and watch to this day. I am sure that viewers remember the film story “Wild Dog Dingo”, although the premiere took place 57 years ago. The film tells about first love, friendship, and complex human relationships. The main character Tanya was played by Galina Polskikh, but I would like to talk about the fate of her partner - Vladimir Osobik.

During the Great Patriotic War, the Osobik family left Leningrad for the Vologda region and settled in the city of Cherepovets.
Volodya was born there on October 29, 1943. The parents of the future artist were able to return to their hometown only in 1944.
From early childhood, Vladimir showed acting abilities. In his free time from studying, he played in an amateur theater, directed by V. Pobolya. The young man was predicted to succeed on stage and in cinema. However, not everything was smooth in Vladimir's life.
He appeared on the set for the first time in 1959, and played a cameo role in the drama “The Tale of the Newlyweds.” A year later, Mikhail Shapiro entrusted the main role in the children's film story “Guys from Kanonersky”. The director had high hopes for the film, but in the end, critics tore the plot to smithereens.

In 1962, Yuli Karasik began filming the children's feature film “Wild Dog Dingo.” At that time, Volodya was not quite nineteen years old, he was studying at a theater institute. The most interesting thing is that the director only saw him in the role of the teenager Kolya Sabaneev, and approved him without an audition.
After the premiere, the main characters became the favorites of millions of schoolchildren, the actors were bombarded with letters, offered friendship, and confessed their love. Vladimir paid for such incredible success - he was expelled from the educational institution for absences.

Filming took place near Leningrad; it was especially difficult in winter. The scene where Tanya (Galina Polskikh) and Kolya (Vladimir Osobik) were riding a sleigh pulled by dogs and got caught in a snowstorm was natural. The guys were very cold, they were given tea. Vladimir suffered the most; he was not in excellent health, he was fragile, and everyone took touching care of him.
In 1966, Osobik graduated from the Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography, and then was accepted into the team of the Leningrad Theater. V. F. Komissarzhevskaya. On these stages he played many interesting characters, and the most significant was the role of Tsar Fyodor in the production of “Tsar Fyodor Ioannovich” based on the play by Alexei Tolstoy.

Unfortunately, he no longer had such successful work either in the theater or in cinema. Vladimir Osobik tried himself as a director and staged the play “The Beast” on his own. At the same time, he worked on radio and television, taught acting at LGITMiK.
For the last five years he served at the Satire Theater (St. Petersburg). If we talk about cinema, he starred in more than twenty films: the drama “The Life of Galileo”, the film story “First Love”, the war film “The Road Home”, the historical film “I Am an Actress”, the fantasy “The Kidnapping of the Sorcerer”, the melodrama “Rin. The Legend of the Icon" (last work, 1992).
Elena Rakhlenko in the film “Streets of Broken Lanterns”, 2008
Vladimir Osobik was married to actress Elena Rakhlenko, whom he met during his student years. The couple served in the same theater and never separated. Elena took care of her husband and supported him in everything, especially when he was sick. The individual tried not to miss rehearsals and did not complain to anyone about his health problems. Colleagues later recalled that he was a wonderful artist, quickly got used to the role, and gave 100 percent on stage.
