Childhood and youth, family

The future People's Artist of the RSFSR Nikita was born on October 21, 1945 into a noble family dating back to the mid-15th century.
The founder of the Konchalovsky-Mikhalkov family is considered to be a courtier named Mikhalka, who lived on the Mikhalkovo estate. By the end of the 16th century, the family achieved recognition at the highest level - it came as close as possible, first to the grand ducal, and then to the royal court. New connections allowed the ambitious family to expand their holdings - now their main residence was the village of Petrovskoye, not far from the capital, in the Yaroslavl province. There the family founded their family tomb.

The director's great-great-grandfather, Sergei Vladimirovich Mikhalkov, made a brilliant career - he began as a leading magistrate of the Rybinsk district, then became the leader of the nobility in the same district, and then headed all the nobility in the Yaroslavl province.

When Nikita was born in the autumn of the victorious 1945, his family was already known throughout the country. Great-grandfather Vasily Surikov is a famous painter, father Sergei Mikhalkov is one of the founders of children's literature in the USSR, his wife Natalya Konchalovskaya is a famous prose writer and poet. And Andrei, Nikita’s older brother, also decided to become a man of great art. This is Nikita Mikhalkov’s biography of a noble family.

As expected, the upbringing of the hereditary aristocrat was entrusted to a governess—and not just any governess, but a Spanish woman named Juanita. She not only looked after little Nikita, but also talked to him about the meaning of life in Spanish. In life, any knowledge can be useful!

The guests of the Mikhalkov house, the color of the culture of the Land of the Soviets, began immersing young Nikita in the world of high art. Every week they visited famous writers, poets, actors and musicians.

“Once Svyatoslav Richter himself played for me all night!” — Mikhalkov once admitted. “He hit the keys so selflessly that in one evening he broke two strings on the piano!” Of course I didn't get enough sleep. I overslept in the morning, was very late for school, explained everything as it was: “Richter is to blame for everything, he was visiting me, he played for a long time and loudly...”

Imagine the boy’s surprise when, instead of the expected honor, he received a serious scolding not only from the teacher, but also from the director himself! Of course, for blatant and cynical “lies”. Then the boy, disappointed in the power of truth, decided to tell everyone that the famous writer Sergei Mikhalkov was not his dad at all. Everything fell into place and even went well for a long time, until the father himself found out about this lie.

“The first and last time I saw him so furious!” — Nikita Mikhalkov later recalled this episode from his biography. -He didn't just yell at me and slap me. He threw books of Pushkin, Tolstoy and Dostoevsky at me!

Until the fourth grade, Nikita studied at special school No. 20, and then he realized that he was no longer able to study the exact sciences in depth. My parents had to transfer the humanities student to a simpler institution. The sacrifice was not in vain: the boy began to please them with his successes in the music school and drama club at the Stanislavsky Theater. And soon Mikhalkov took his first independent step in the world of big cinema. True, in the role not the main one and... female.

Children of Anna's daughter

Anna Mikhalkova was born in 1974. She became an actress, producer and TV presenter. With her husband Albert Bakov they have three children: Andrei, Sergei and Lydia.

Andrey Bakov (2000) studies at a Moscow university and wants to connect his life with economics. He performs with a band in nightclubs, plays musical instruments, and loves hockey.

Sergei Bakov (2001) attends a Moscow school and is involved in amateur performances. Together with Andrey, he took part in a fashion show by designer Alexander Terekhov. The boy is interested in exact sciences, and wants to enter VGIK and become a director.

Lydia Bakova (2013) recently appeared before the public for the first time; the mother did not want to show the child to the public for a very long time. The girl loves to draw and dance.

Anna Mikhalkova is very close to her sister Nadezhda; they often spend vacations together with their children. Anna dreams that their sons and daughters will maintain relationships with each other in the same way.

Actor career

As one might expect, Mikhalkov got his first film experience in his family.
Why go far if your brother is already making full-length films himself? For his acting debut, Nikita Sergeevich chose a film with a more than symbolic title - “Brother”. — Andrey didn’t want to give me the role for a long time. In the end, he agreed reluctantly and with one difficult condition: I would wake him up for filming at three in the morning. It’s just that one of the film’s scenes required the texture of early morning... So what do you think? Of course I overslept!

At five in the morning Andrei Konchalovsky woke up on his own and realized that his would-be brother had failed an important task. It was already fairly dawn outside, and the actress, who was waiting for the director in the park around the corner, went home. In anger, Andrei scolded Nikita, and then, without thinking twice, ordered him to put on a woman’s fur coat and stilettos and “defile gracefully in front of the camera.”

Nikita obeyed, shedding tears of the most sincere repentance. Fortunately, the camera did not capture his childish hysteria for posterity - the director only needed a shot from behind. The torment was not in vain - Nikita Konchalovsky liked the “feminine” back and legs and was included in the film. This is how Nikita Sergeevich became an actor.

Daughter Nadezhda Mikhalkova

Nikita Sergeevich’s youngest daughter, Nadenka’s favorite, was born in 1986. Being very young, Nadya already made her debut in her father’s film. The role in “Burnt by the Sun” was the start of the actress’s career.

Interesting! Nadezhda had no intention of following in her father’s footsteps, and deliberately entered MGIMO, becoming a journalist. But fate had its own way and since 1994 the girl began to actively act in films, with her participation 15 films were released. In addition, Nadya tried herself as a producer and designer.

Things were going less and less well in my personal life. Nadezhda fell in love with a Georgian director, who was by that time married and had a daughter. This did not stop the girl in love, and soon they got married in Georgia, and six months later they rejoiced at the birth of their daughter Nino.

The family got off to an unsuccessful start, and 3 years after the birth of their son Ivan, the couple separated, having lived together for 6 years. Both of Nadezhda’s children were born on May 21, 2 years apart. Now she is a director, producer, actress and designer. In 2020, her directorial debut was released - the film “Churros”, where her sister Anna and her children are involved. In 2020, the public saw her in the film “Hostages,” directed by Rezo Gigineishvili, her ex-husband.

Personal life

Later, fate demanded that Mikhalkov take vigorous action not only in his profession, but also in his personal life.
Although I decided to give my first love favorably. She became a very young, but already famous in the world of cinema, Anastasia Vertinskaya. He met the star of the hit films “Scarlet Sails” and “Amphibian Man” at “Pike”, where they studied in the same course. They began a whirlwind romance, and in 1966 the couple went to the registry office. Soon after the celebration, the newlyweds had their first child, Stepan. However, the two creative personalities were not destined to stay together. Nikita wanted to see his wife as a skilled mistress of the family estate, waiting for her husband on the porch with pancakes, jam and a samovar. Anastasia liked the patriarchal image of a Russian woman, but... with one caveat: “All this is not about me, alas!” These words became the death sentence for their marriage.

An unsuccessful experience in his personal life taught the director the main thing: he will no longer expect gifts from fate, he will take his personal life into his own hands. His attention was attracted by the beautiful and stately Tatyana Solovyova, already a fairly well-known fashion model in Moscow.

She remembered her first date with Mikhalkov forever, because before dinner at the restaurant, the actor most decisively and mercilessly... washed her! “I invited one person on a date, but a completely different one came,” Nikita Sergeevich explained his “extravagant” behavior. “You should have seen her that evening!” Purple lips, thick green shadow on the eyelids, false eyelashes, creepy hairstyle...

However, all this bohemian tinsel did not prevent Mikhalkov from seeing the main thing in Tatyana - in front of him was a beautiful girl, both externally and internally.

But, apparently, higher powers decided to test the strength of the feelings of a couple in love. At the age of 27, Mikhalkov was drafted into the army, and the modeling agency sent Tatyana to work in Czechoslovakia. Of course, they wrote letters to each other, but mail in the USSR, as now, was not reliable and efficient.

“Fate could easily separate us, but Nikita turned out to be stronger,” recalls the biography of the personal life of Mikhalkov’s husband. “For example, without hesitation, he rushed to look for me throughout Moscow. In a terrible snowstorm, without even knowing my address! I returned to Tanya suddenly, but she moved and didn’t have time to tell me the new address,” the director recalls. “We only managed to find out that she now lives on Vernadsky Avenue, on the outskirts of the capital.

A tired and frozen Romeo was rescued from trouble by a random passer-by.

- In our residential area there are only a couple of attractions - a black man and a famous fashion model! - he threw a tragicomic phrase at Mikhalkov. Everything else for the talkative and assertive actor was a matter of technique: he methodically walked around the apartments of all the high-rise buildings on the avenue and finally found his Juliet!

- I will never forget that evening! - Tatyana recalls. “Nikita’s appearance on the doorstep was a real shock for me. Of course, it was a moment of real happiness. The most amazing surprise of my life!

Mikhalkov proposed to his beloved at the House of Cinema, in the midst of one of the cinematic gatherings. The wedding took place on the set of the cult film “One Among Strangers...”. And for more than 40 years, Nikita and Tatyana Mikhalkov have been happy and inseparable in their personal lives. In marriage, they gave birth to and raised a son, Artem, and two daughters, Anna and Nadezhda.

Natalia Konchalovskaya and Sergei Mikhalkov: a union of two souls, sealed by creativity

Faktrum invites the reader to get acquainted with the history of the Mikhalkov-Konchalovskys.

Life until we meet

The beautiful Natalya Konchalovskaya has never known a shortage of fans. And since she moved in circles of intellectuals and people of art, they looked after her beautifully, with poetic dedication. But Natalya was in no hurry to rush headlong into the pool. And her first ardent love happened only at the age of 23 - her chosen one was Alexei Bogdanov, a merchant who dreamed of making a career as a pianist. With him, Natalya fled to America without parental blessing. There, Alexey received a divorce from his first wife by mail and married Konchalovskaya. True, the hopes of the newly-minted spouses were not justified either in terms of a career or in terms of a strong marriage. They returned to their homeland as people already free from marriage. This is what later saved Natalya from execution after her ex-husband.

Natalya Petrovna Konchalovskaya with her first husband Alexei Bogdanov

In the mid-thirties of the last century, fate managed to bring together the granddaughter of the famous artist V.I. Surikov, Natalya Konchalovskaya, and the hereditary nobleman, poet and playwright Sergei Mikhalkov. They met in a house that belonged to Natalya Petrovna’s family.

Nata Konchalovskaya with her brother and grandfather Vasily Surikov.

Having left for Kharkov, the young but already recognized poet (known as the author of “Uncle Styopa”) realized that he could not live without the woman who had captivated him, that he had fallen hopelessly in love. Directly from Kharkov, he called Natalya Petrovna and confessed his love to her. And then, right over the phone, he made an offer.

Young poet Sergei Mikhalkov.

Konchalovskaya was surprised by this turn of events, but, apparently, the young and energetic poet fell into her heart and felt a kindred spirit in him. And she agreed to get married. Under Mendelssohn's march, two ancient creative families united, leaving a significant legacy for all of humanity. And it’s worth saying that Sergei and Natalya were worthy representatives of their famous families.

Sergei Mikhalkov was a talented poet and playwright, and his wife was a writer and translator. It turned out to be an interesting literary couple! Mikhalkov was not embarrassed by his wife’s age (Natalya was ten years older) or the fact that she had a daughter from her first marriage.

Natalya Konchalovskaya, 1950.

Ekaterina, Konchalovskaya’s daughter from her first marriage, was accepted by the young husband as his own, and later adopted her. Natalya Konchalovskaya and Sergei Mikhalkov had two sons - Andron and Nikita Mikhalkov. Despite the difficult relationship with her husband, the wise woman managed to save her family and raise children.

Why are they difficult? The fact is that Sergei Mikhalkov was an incorrigible ladies' man and a great lover of female society. Natalya Petrovna loved and respected her husband, and her family came first. So she had to stoically endure her husband’s amorous hobbies. This wonderful woman was not only a creative person, but also a skilled housewife, who managed to take care of the house and household chores.

Family nest

This was not just a creative tandem, but a real literary family. Mikhalkov wrote a lot, Konchalovskaya was the first to read his works, suggesting ideas and rules for the texts. Maybe the successful creative tandem was the secret to the longevity of the marriage between Konchalovskaya and Mikhalkov?

In addition, the economic and religious woman ran the household simply brilliantly. With the money she earned, she lovingly arranged a park at her house on Nikolina Gora. She got up early in the morning, and her household always saw her working at her typewriter. She also managed to bake bread and cook delicious food. And what a needlewoman she was: she sewed, embroidered, and restored things.

The youngest son Nikita became a long-awaited late child. The mother was already forty-five years old; they say that she prayed for a long time for this baby to be sent to her, and her request was heard in heaven. And although Sergei Mikhalkov was special, close to the highest echelons of power, his wife still decided to baptize their children and taught them to go to church. The house even had a small iconostasis, located in a small cabinet.

Guests often gathered in the house of Konchalovskaya and Mikhalkov. The hospitable hostess always treated us to her baked goods, various dishes and gave us tea. Meetings were never complete without reading poetry and discussing literary novelties.

While Mikhalkov traveled around the country on duty, Natalya Petrovna was a real stronghold for the whole family. She was always ready to listen, help, and bless her household. The last years of her life she completely devoted to her husband, family and house on Nikolina Gora, as well as to the park and orchard. And even among her family, she continued to take care of herself and always dressed well.

Natalya Konchalovskaya and Sergei Mikhalkov lived together for 53 years.

The Mikhalkov-Konchalovskaya couple were married for 53 years. Natalia Konchalovskaya passed away in 1988. In his memoirs, Sergei Mikhalkov wrote that his first wife was an intelligent and talented housewife, the core and stronghold of the entire family. Even if the feelings between them cooled somewhat over the years, the union of like-minded people remained until the last days.

Movies

Over his half-century creative life, Nikita Mikhalkov directed 29 films, and in 45 films he proved himself to be an extraordinary actor.
In the frame he was a hussar, and a lord, and a merchant, and a waiter, and a security officer, and a criminal authority... -But even here the same epithet “darling of fate” is hardly applicable to him. — The Soviet government never gave me a single prize or award! — the director and actor once lamented in his hearts about his creative biography. - Moreover, she interfered with her creativity in every possible way! For example, the innocent tragicomedy “Kinfolk” was banned from showing on all screens in the country for three whole years! Do you know why? The censors made more than 100 comments on this work. The tape, you see, showed the lack of optimistic sentiment among the citizens of the USSR!

Mikhalkov always found salvation from problems in selfless work and boyish entertainment. One of them almost cost him his life. “Once we sat at Nikita’s dacha,” says actor Evgeny Steblov, Mikhalkov’s friend and colleague. “We worked for a long time, then we decided to have a drink.” Mitya Chukovsky, the writer’s grandson, came to the feast, and not just, but on a brand new Java motorcycle, the best at that time. We got drunk and jumped behind the wheel! Mitya started the dangerous fun, and Nikita continued.

They didn’t fit into the turn, flew off the road, and together with the motorcycle they rolled head over heels towards the Moscow River. Mitya was not injured, but I ruined my evening suit, scratched my knee, and Nikita was completely crushed by the hot engine of the iron horse. They pulled him out from under the Java by force...

And the next day, Mikhalkov, on that same “Java,” as if nothing had happened, went to the christening of his son Stepan! Amazingly, on the “special purpose” highway, better known as Rublevo-Uspenskoye Highway, no one even paid attention to it. Although he was covered in bruises while driving, without a helmet, and even without a license!

Nikita Mikhalkov today: family

Today Mikhalkov is increasingly called a real aristocrat and master.
After all, Nikita Sergeevich created a strong patriarchal family, raised four wonderful children, each of whom was successful in life. He himself admits that at his age he really feels like a gentleman from the works of Russian classics. But he invariably adds: a master is not someone who lies on the couch and uses other people’s work. Master is a title and a great responsibility. His eldest son, Stepan, has three children, and he also became a film director. Daughter Anna graduated from Anatoly Romashin’s acting course at VGIK. Her creative portfolio includes the role of Dunyasha in “The Barber of Siberia” by Mikhalkov, as well as work in the films of Vasily Pichul (“The Sky in Diamonds”) and Sergei Nazarov (“The Inspector General”). Artem also chose the profession of director, but, ironically, he has shown himself more so far as an actor - for example, he starred in Fyodor Bondarchuk’s film “The Ninth Company”. And finally, Nadezhda, Mikhalkov’s youngest daughter, made her debut in her father’s film “Burnt by the Sun”, and years later, having matured, she appeared in the second part of the trilogy.

Nikita Sergeevich is also an honorary grandfather: he already has nine grandchildren. The eldest granddaughter, Alexandra, is 23 years old, and the youngest, Vanyusha, is only two. Mikhalkov is also a successful entrepreneur. He doesn’t like to talk about his business, preferring to think about the spiritual rather than the mundane and practical. But, as they say, you can’t erase a word from a song. Here are just a few facts from his business biography.

Children of Nikita Mikhalkov photo

Although Stepan was from an acting family, he did not follow in the footsteps of his parents; he was only indirectly involved in this area. He is engaged in the art of restaurateur, he has bakeries and cafes and restaurants that offer excellent services. His life did not turn out very well, he married a second time, both wives are from the modeling business. In terms of priorities, he is close to his father, because his second wife is a fashion model. Mikhalkov has grandchildren Vasily, Peter and Alexandra - the children of Styopa.

After the date, they began to live together. The family first had their first common child, and then two more; the names of the children are known throughout the world. Tatyana Mikhalkova in her youth, see here.

Daughter Anyutka was born immediately after marriage, even the director made a film about her, Nikita Mikhalkov generally spent a lot of time with his children in terms of cinematography and filming. The daughter is now a famous producer and actress, she is purposeful and has incredible willpower. Anna Mikhalkova has three children, she is a happy mother and wife.

The youngest daughter, Nadezhda Mikhalkova, grew up as a very inquisitive child. In the photo, Nikita Mikhalkov’s children could be seen always happy. She acted in films with her dad. Everyone inherited talent from their parents, you can’t take it away, they receive numerous prizes and awards, even the Mikhalkov family is famous at international competitions.

Nadezhda studied a lot, mastered journalism and soon married Rezo Gigineishvili, and the family has two children. Time has quickly flown by, now Nikita Mikhalkov is not only a father, but a grandfather rich in grandchildren.

Entrepreneur

In 2009, Nikita Sergeevich started a small winemaking business in the Italian province of Tuscany.
The company produces wine called "12". Mikhalkov also owns shares in cinema, as well as in a computer company, the Siberian Barber publishing house, the Temino-Lesnoye and Temino-Pavlovskoye woodworking enterprises, and the ChelProm-Diamond diamond processing plant. Nikita Sergeevich also has his own five-story hotel in the very center of the European resort city of Karlovy Vary. Contrary to popular belief, Nikita Mikhalkov spends his personal finances not only on the development of the Russian film industry, but also on cultural and historical charity. So, several years ago he put in order the memorial cemetery near Sevastopol, where the heroes of the Crimean War of 1853-1856 are buried. If it weren’t for Mikhalkov, in a couple of years it would simply disappear...

“I’m probably Oblomov and Stolz rolled into one,” Nikita Sergeevich said in a recent interview. “I would like to live like the first one, but all my life I work like the second one.” To keep up with everything, for forty years now I have been sleeping no more than five hours every day. “To succeed in life, you need to plow!” - my mother loved to repeat to me, for which I am very grateful to her. She also explained to my brother and me that we have the right to make comments to others only if we ourselves are able to do this better...

Despite the constant noise around his name, Nikita Mikhalkov never takes offense at anyone. He tries not to notice the attacks of his enemies, and forgives the mistakes of his friends with a smile. Isn't this what true aristocracy lies in?
