Miller himself described the story as a family drama with elements of a psychological thriller.[14] The film was directed by Park Chan-wook and produced by Ridley Scott. The main role was played by Mia Wasikowska, her mother by Nicole Kidman, and her mysterious uncle by Matthew Goode.[15]
In 2020, the second film with Miller as a screenwriter was released - the psychological horror film “The Disappointment Room”, directed by DJ Caruso and starring Kate Beckinsale[16].
