Biography

At the end of September 1970, a boy was born in the Russian capital. He studied at a regular school, did not miss a single event, participated in productions, and after graduation he entered the architectural institute, because he always loved to draw.

As a student, the future actor worked part-time as a teacher of drawing and art history at the Film School. There he began acting in the theater. Here he enjoyed success, as the characters he performed turned out to be very truthful and attractive thanks to his bright appearance and enormous talent. This captivated the young man so much that he quit his studies and entered GITIS on the course of L. Heifetz. The parents fully supported their son.

After completing his studies, in 1996, the actor began working in the theater. One of his most famous works was his role in the play “Plasticine” by K. Serebrennikov. For it, Andrei Kuzichev received the “Seagull” award in the “Breakthrough” category (2001). He also played in the plays “Three Sisters”, “Twelfth Night”, “About Women”, as well as “Closerness”, “Another Theater” and others.

– Tell us about your parents.
- Unfortunately, they are no longer alive.
Mom was glad that I became an actor. At one time she studied ballet and her dream of the stage came true in me. My father passed away without seeing my film works. I'm a late child. – Did they manage to attend your wedding with Vika?
– We made it, although there was no wedding as such.
We got married on August 9, 1996, and the day before I wrote a note to my parents (they were at the dacha, and we were in Moscow): “You are invited to Moscow on the occasion of your son’s wedding.” They arrived a little dazed. We drank champagne, and in the evening Vika and I left to celebrate the wedding with friends. – Was the stamp in your passport so important to you?
