Alexander Chislov: Nobody noticed that I was in grief

Childhood and youth

Alexander Vladimirovich Chislov was born in Grozny in October 1964. All the future artist’s childhood and teenage years were spent in the capital of Chechnya. My father was from a village in the Kaluga region, but he did not want to stay in his homeland, but went towards Grozny, where he got a job as a welder.

In a new place, the young man met his future wife, a Terek Cossack woman. First, a daughter was born into the young family, and 3 years later a son. When Alexander turned 18, the Chislovs moved to Moscow.

In Moscow, Chislov began attending the Harmony theater studio, where he was taught by a talented teacher, actor and theater artist Mikhail Romanenko. The teacher helped the aspiring artist enter the world of theater and cinema, teaching him the basics of acting.

Movies

Alexander's cinematic biography began in his youth. Chislov made his debut in 1989, in three projects at once. From that moment on, offers from directors came regularly. The artist’s colorful appearance and unusual style of acting attracted many filmmakers who required a non-standard approach and a striking character.

Thanks to a chance acquaintance with director Hussein Erkenov, who approved young Chislov for the role of Private Zyrin in the drama “One Hundred Days Before the Order,” the guy was finally convinced of the correctness of the chosen path.

Later, Alexander became the director’s favorite actor, who every time invited him to a new project. The films “Don’t Shoot the Passenger”, “Black Ball”, “I Adore You”, “Ordered to Forget” were released with the artist’s participation.

Alexander Chislov's collection includes not only comic roles. The actor was also brilliant at portraying tragic characters. This was the image of Teke in the historical drama “Cold” by Hussein Erkenov.

The artist got the image of Hitler in the box office comedy “The Best Film - 2”, where the main characters were played by Garik Kharlamov, Timur Batrutdinov, Dmitry Khrustalev. Among the popular projects in which Chislov appeared are the TV series “Balabol”, “The Inquisitor”, and the sports film “Legend No. 17”.

Great master of small roles

Alexander Chislov made his debut in cinema quite late - at the age of twenty-five. But the artist appeared on screen in three film projects at once - in small roles as a court secretary in the crime drama “The Trial”; student in the comedy “Life on a Limit” and Moidodyr in the crime film “Mayhem”.

Possessing a colorful appearance, Chislov soon began to receive offers from many directors who required a bright, memorable type and an unusual style of acting. The actor participated in the creation of the action film “Fools Die on Fridays,” the drama “Mary Magdalene,” the tragicomedy “Cloud Paradise,” and the crime drama “Russian Roulette.”

But only after Alexander met director Hussein Erkenov, who invited Chislov to play the role of Private Zyrin in the drama “One Hundred Days Before the Order,” did the actor finally become convinced that he had chosen the right path in life.

It was Erkenov who discovered the skill of a dramatic actor in Chislov and invited the artist to each of his film projects. In a friendly tandem, they worked on the creation of the art-house drama “Don’t Shoot the Passenger,” the youth sports film “Black Ball,” the films “I Adore You” and “Ordered to Forget,” and the historical drama “Cold.”

However, Chislov played his first major film role not in Erkenov’s film, but in Amurbek Gobashiev’s detective story “Ticket to the Red Theater, or The Death of a Grave Digger.” In this project, Alexander embodied himself in the image of student Poluyanov.

The plot of the film revolves around the adventures of two students who opened one of the graves on a dark night. Near the skull with a bullet hole, gravediggers found a theater ticket dated November 1934. The act of vandalism at the Volkovsky cemetery was carried out by Lieutenant Colonel Kuznetsov, who soon found out that the discovered ticket was directly related to the high-profile political murders of the 30s.

Fans of television series will remember the actor for his participation in projects:

  • "Goryachev and others";
  • "Petersburg secrets";

In 2020, Alexander Chislov played his best film role - Merkuryev, a funny man posing as a scientist from the future who returned to the past to conceive the savior of humanity, in the comedy "Man from the Future."

In the same year, the actor appeared on screens as a witness in the detective story “Second Sight”, the director of a restoration workshop in the crime melodrama “A Woman Without a Sense of Humor”, Fixy in the comedy series “Journalyugi”, Nikolaev in the mystical detective story “The Fifth Watch”, Igor Ivanovich in the melodrama "Keys".

Since 2020, the actor can be seen in the role of a doctor’s servant in the historical series “Bloody Lady” and in the image of a harmless person in the spy comedy “Adaptation”. Currently, Alexander Chislov continues to work on the creation of the film projects “Expert” and “Weddings and Divorces.”

Despite the fact that the actor has to play mainly supporting roles and participate in episodes, Alexander Chislov philosophically answers that it is a sin for him to complain about fate. He is constantly in demand in cinema from the early 90s to the present day.

Alexander has no prejudices or taboos when choosing roles; he can play both good heroes and inveterate scoundrels, as long as the image is dynamic and interesting. Having completely devoted himself to cinema, the actor never appeared on the theater stage.

Personal life

The personal life of Alexander Chislov is a closed topic, but it is known that the man did not have a wife or children. In 2013, the actor experienced a personal loss - his older sister died. In the same year, the artist bequeathed his own apartment in Moscow to his niece Svetlana, and later a deed of gift was issued to the woman.

In 2020, the media received information about the serious health condition of the performer. Chislov asked his friend Boris Reutov to help him, as he expressed fear that they wanted to poison him and take over the property. Despite the fact that according to the documents Svetlana is the owner of the apartment, unsanitary conditions reigned in the actor’s home, and Alexander himself found himself in an extremely neglected state.

According to the artist’s family and friends, he himself refused help, including medical help, for 2 months, so they made no special attempts to rectify the situation. His mother also mentioned her son’s difficult character on the talk show “Live Broadcast.”

Chislov himself justified his refusal to eat by saying that he was afraid of poisoning. According to the performer, they constantly put some kind of pills on him, which is why he completely refused to eat. His tenant is actor Denis Serdyukov, the last lover of the deceased actress Irina Tsyvina, whom the actress’s son suspected of involvement in his mother’s death.

On August 29, 2020 at 08.30, the actor died at the age of 55, despite the efforts of the capital’s doctors. The cause of death of Alexander Chislov was an exacerbation of pneumonia. This was reported by Denis Serdyukov, who learned about the death of his friend from his niece Svetlana.

Causes of Alexander Chislov's illness

Actor Alexander Chislov came to the funeral of actress Irina Tsyvina in April of this year. In those days, he also talked about his death and looked sick. When one of the late actress’s friends asked him about his state of health, he bluntly replied that he was drinking.

According to another friend of Tsyvina, who worked with the actor, he was already drinking at the end of the working day, although she did not see him very drunk.

The doctor at the hospital where Chislov was admitted said that the patient was admitted in a state of extreme exhaustion, and first advised him to eat at least a couple of spoons of noodles, to which Chislov replied that he could use one spoon of noodles and two spoons of cognac.

According to the doctor, it’s all to blame for alcoholism, for which the actor was treated in a drug treatment clinic and which led to the development of polyneuropathy, and it is this that does not allow the actor to get out of bed. At the same time, as a result of many days of fasting, he developed multiple organ failure. Of course, in the hospital the actor will be fed and treated, but he cannot return to his apartment, which is unsanitary. Otherwise, this whole story will repeat itself again.
