Sergey Nasibov: the beginning of the journey
The future performer of the role of the insidious handsome Gosha was born in Sukhumi; a joyful event occurred in June 1958. Sergei Nasibov was born into a family that had nothing to do with the world of cinema. However, even as a child, the boy had a dream of becoming an actor. It’s not surprising, because it was he who always got the main roles in school plays.
By the time he graduated from school, Sergei Nasibov no longer doubted that he should enter GITIS. The young man managed to become a student at this educational institution on his first try.
Childhood and youth
Actor Sergei Nasibov was born on June 30, 1958 in Sukhumi (Abkhazia), has Georgian roots: his father and grandfather are purebred, his mother is half Russian. As a child, he spent a lot of time in Tbilisi, where numerous relatives lived. Grandfather, according to the memoirs of Sergei Nasibov, was a stern man, a colonel, went through the entire war, lived on the famous street in Tbilisi - Griboyedov, 20, the so-called “ministerial house”, where government members lived with their families.
In 1980, Sergei graduated from the acting department of GITIS. Over the years he was an actor at the Taganka Theater, the Mayakovsky Theater, the Gorky Moscow Art Theater, and the Russian Academic Youth Theater.
Theater
Sergei Alexandrovich received his diploma in 1980, and soon after this, the promising graduate was sheltered by the Taganka Theater. The young man took part in several famous productions of this theater, for example, “Coriolanus”, “At the Lower Depths”.
Nasibov also repeatedly had the opportunity to perform on the stage of the Vladimir Mayakovsky Theater. He could be seen in the plays “Notes of a Dreamer”, “Rumor”, “Lizard”, “And the Silver Cord Will Break”, “Conversations with Socrates”. The theater gave a lot to the aspiring actor, but fame still came to him thanks to cinema.
Institute
The construction profession seriously interested Gundareva; she enthusiastically reconstructed ceramic and reinforced concrete plants on paper.
Having received a certificate of secondary education, in 1967 the girl submitted documents to MISS. She had only one exam left to pass, but one evening her friend Viktor Pavlov, with whom she studied at the Theater of Young Muscovites, came to visit Natalya. The guy said to her from the doorway: “Natasha, is it true that you are entering the Construction Institute? Crazy... Immediately take the documents and bring them to us in Shchukinskoye.”
Gundareva succumbed to his persuasion and confidently went to the Shchukin Theater School. She's definitely crazy, in addition to strict examiners, the school had a competition of 247 people for one place. After listening to Natasha at the entrance exams, the teachers disagreed: some thought she was too plump, others noted the plasticity in her movements. Everything was judged by the chairman of the commission, who, although he noticed the applicant’s shortcomings, saw in her a very charming girl.
So Natalya became a student of the famous Shchuka. The leader of her course was a wonderful teacher and actor Yuri Katin-Yartsev.
While studying, Gundareva practiced dancing and stage movements for three hours a day. She wanted to prove her professional suitability to teachers, who said that being overweight would not allow her to fully develop in the acting profession. And Gundareva did it, she danced very well in the school’s performances and had amazing plasticity, unlike many thin actresses.
In her second year, Natasha took a skill exam, where she had to play Domna Platonovna in the production of “Warrior” based on Leskov’s play. Seeing her on stage, the rector of the school, Boris Evgenievich Zakhava, said with admiration: “I’m ready to give her a diploma now!”
After college, the certified actress was immediately invited to four capital theaters. She went to the Mayakovsky Theater, where she worked until the end of her life.
Star role
Sergey Nasibov is an actor who first appeared on the set in 1977, at that time he was still studying at GITIS. The melodrama “School Waltz” by Pavel Lyubimov introduces viewers to the magical world of first love. The story of the relationship between Gosha and Zosya begins beautifully, but soon everything changes. The guy finds out about his beloved's pregnancy and immediately leaves her alone with this problem.
Sergei Nasibov played in this film the cruel and handsome Gosha, who treats the naive girl Zosya very badly. The actor was incredibly lucky with his first role, as it gave him fame and his first fans.
Childhood
Natasha was born in Moscow on August 28, 1948.
Her dad, Georgy Makarovich, was born and raised near Tula. As a teenager, he had to work as a farm laborer, and at fourteen, the guy packed up and left for Moscow. Here he began his career as an ordinary worker and worked his way up to the position of engineer at a small car plant.
Mom, Elena Mikhailovna, graduated from the Construction Institute, where she received a degree as a design engineer. She led a group of design bureaus engaged in the construction of industrial and commercial buildings. At the research institute where Elena Mikhailovna worked, there was an amateur theater, and in her free time she played in it with pleasure, and also recited poetry and sang wonderfully.
The first word Natasha said was “sama.” This is how she turned out, from early childhood she always tried to do without outside help and do everything on her own. Little Gundareva also had childhood fears, which later carried over into adulthood. She was terrified of the frightening and breathing mists. The word “death” evoked wild fear in her; Natasha could imagine in her thoughts that she would one day die, and this would make her cry bitterly.
Natalia's parents divorced when she was little. Her mother raised her alone; there was often not enough money, and they had to live on credit. This is how another fear from childhood appeared - being in debt. As soon as Gundareva began to earn small but stable money on her own, she set a rule for herself - to put it away, albeit a little, into a stash.
Mom often took little Natasha with her to rehearsals and performances, so the girl fell in love with theater from childhood. And when, at the age of five, she first attended the Moscow Art Theater production of “The Blue Bird,” she came home and told her mother: “I didn’t know what to do in the theater - walk on the floor or fly.”
"Solo Sailing"
After “School Waltz,” Nasibov focused on working in the theater, but from time to time he still acted in films. For example, he played small roles in the films “Take Off”, “Farewell of the Slavic Woman”, “Goodbye, My Parthian!”. Sergei Alexandrovich also took part in the television plays “Selectivity on the Next Channel” and “Dulcinea of Tobossa”.
The action film Solo Voyage, released in 1980, deserves special mention. In this film, Sergei got one of the key roles, and the young man finally played a positive hero. The action film with elements of drama tells the story of a military frigate that returns to base after months of sailing. However, the ship's crew is forced to change course and get involved in a deadly game started by NATO.

Personal life
Ekaterina Durova is the first girl with whom Sergei Nasibov seriously fell in love. The actor’s personal life seemed to be settled when he married the daughter of the famous Lev Durov. His wife gave him a daughter, who was named after her mother, and they had a happy marriage. However, everything changed when Nasibov met actress Natalya Gundareva.
Sergei and Natalya became close during joint rehearsals at the Mayakovsky Theater. Gundareva was then dating Viktor Koreshkov, but this did not stop her from falling in love with her colleague. The ten-year age difference also did not become an obstacle to the romance.
Officially, Gundareva and Nasibov began dating when they were on tour together in Chisinau. Natalya simply moved into Sergei’s room, which everyone who accompanied them immediately found out about. Some time later, the actor divorced Ekaterina Durova, which greatly upset her father. The scandalous affair lasted for three years, then Gundareva and Nasibov notified their friends about their separation. The actor believes that he alone is to blame for their separation, since due to his youth he has not yet learned to appreciate his happiness.
Personal life of Sergei Nasibov
What does the actor look like today? There is a photo of Sergei Nasibov in the article. He does not indulge journalists with frequent interviews. The actor’s personal life has always been hidden from public view. It is known that he communicated quite closely with actress Natalya Gundareva, with whom he worked a lot together in theatrical productions. The affair with her lasted three years; not every person knows this actress as much as Sergei Nasibov. At the time the love story began, both were divorced (the actor’s first wife was Lev Durov’s daughter, Ekaterina). The relationship developed quickly and was initially hidden from everyone, but later colleagues found out about everything. The parting turned out to be the natural end of a bright story, Sergei left, the roads diverged. The actor learned about the death of his former lover while in America. She still remembers with warmth and tenderness the years spent with Natalya.
Sergei Nasibov’s second wife was a Russian emigrant named Vetta, whom he met in America. In this marriage a daughter was born. Currently, the actor is already a grandfather twice, continues to act in films, visit American friends and enjoy life.
Moving to the States
Soon after breaking up with Natalya, Sergei Nasibov disappeared from public view. The actor's biography answers the question of why this happened. It turns out that Sergei Alexandrovich moved to the USA, this happened in 1988. The decision to change his place of residence was made suddenly; it happened when Nasibov was visiting friends in San Francisco.
Sergei didn’t know English well, so he couldn’t even dream of roles in American cinema. In those years, he grabbed every opportunity to make money; Nasibov sold cars and worked as a manager in a sports club. Then he became involved in real estate activities, in which he finally succeeded.
The actor’s personal life was settled thanks to a chance acquaintance. He met a charming emigrant named Vetta, who also moved to the States from Russia. In 1998, Sergei’s second daughter was born, who was named Anastasia. In 2005, the family purchased a house in California.
Emigration to America
In 1988, Sergei left for the USA, practically did not act in films due to ignorance of the English language, tried to master new professions: he painted houses, sold cars, was a manager in fitness clubs, and later became a businessman in the field of real estate financing (mortgages). There were no special prerequisites for the move, as the artist later admitted, there was only a desire for change, a sudden impulse.
He first lived in San Francisco (Northern California), arriving at the invitation of a close friend, and later moved to Denver (Southern California), where he purchased a mansion. He has lived abroad for a total of 25 years, and currently comes there to visit family and friends.
I missed Russia and the theater while in exile and realized that my passion for acting never waned. He made the decision to return to his homeland in 2009, after which he immediately starred in several projects: “Loot”, “Farewell of the Slavyanka”, “Vain Sacrifice” and others.
