According to the artist, in his youth he was a self-confident and freedom-loving guy, which helped him during admission and in his further studies.
When Makogon left his home, his parents were sure that their son would soon return home, become a student at the Polytechnic Institute or join the army.
Unexpectedly for them, Alexander entered on the first try and was accepted into the workshop of Andrei Aleksandrovich Goncharov, under whose guidance he learned the secrets of the acting craft for several years. His fellow students were Daniil Spivakovsky, Dmitry Prokofiev, Nikita Tyunin.
