Biography
Zhenya was born into a Moscow family. From a young age, the girl studied piano at a music school. During my school years I went to the Children's Musical Theater of a Young Actor. The acquired knowledge and skills of acting and vocals made it possible for Zhenya Malakhova to get into the first round of casting for the musical “12 Chairs”. Unfortunately, she failed the dance exam in the second round.
“I always wanted to sing. Since childhood, I watched TV and imagined that I was there. That’s why I went to endless castings: either the musical “Mamma Mia!” or “12 Chairs.” In general, I believe that if you want something, you can’t sit still,” Evgenia is sure.
In 2004, the girl graduated from school as an external student. But I didn’t go to theater school, but to law school: my parents insisted on a serious first education. However, she did not forget about the stage. For almost six years, Zhenya combined her singing career and studies at the Moscow State Law Academy.
Music career
Thanks to her assertive character and determination, already at the age of 16, the aspiring singer recorded two hits, and then shot videos for them - “Clinit” and “Mama”. The words to the last song were written by Viktor Drobysh, and it tells about first love and disappointments. None other than Fyodor Bondarchuk helped the young performer record a high-quality video. It was he who invited her to play the role of a crazy car thief in the video.
The girl's first and early fame overshadowed her mind. Fortunately, my mother insisted on receiving a secondary education and forced me to finish school at least as an external student. Having received a certificate, Zhenya began studying at the Moscow State Law Academy at the Faculty of Law. In 2005, the premiere of her debut album “I'm Not an Angel” took place, and in 2006 she joined the famous pop group “Reflex”.

Finding herself among talented performers, Evgenia was not at a loss, but rather showed herself brightly. With her arrival, the team began a new round of success - tours, new songs and videos. In 2009, Studenikina also decided to leave her friends, justifying her departure as follows: “I am incredibly happy that I met you, but my relatives, and in particular my family, crave my attention.” So “Reflex” turned into a duet.

Together the girls released the song “Just to Love,” but it never gained popularity. To improve matters and regain former success, the producer organized the “REFLEX REUNION TOUR”. Perhaps nothing would have come of it, but especially for this tour, the group’s producer Tyurin asked his wife Irina Nelson to join Alena Torganova and Evgenia Malakhova on a concert tour of American cities. So the group brightly and quite successfully celebrated its tenth anniversary.

In 2010, Nelson again helped her friends and together with them recorded a new track “Selyavi”, for which a video clip was shot a little later. At the end of the year, the girls recorded the New Year's composition “White Snowstorm”.

Biography of Zhenya Malakhova
On October 28, 1988, Malakhova Evgenia Aleksandrovna was born. Since childhood, the girl lived in the capital and actively developed under sensitive parental supervision. As soon as she learned to walk and talk, her mother took her to a music school for piano class. At the age of 9, Zhenya was accepted into the Musical Theater of Young Actor (MTYA). The institution gave lessons in acting, vocals, and stage movement.

And, on the one hand, this is wonderful, because we were able to take a break from society, but on the other hand, sometimes we needed to call urgently, but there was no way. In general, on set there was everything possible from the era we were filming about. There were canned goods in bags, metal mugs on the tables, and so on. We wore rubber boots the entire shooting day so as not to wear out our feet. And we didn’t change into our clothes on set: as soon as we arrived and put on the heroines’ costumes, we never parted with them. Thus, we became so accustomed to our image that we no longer needed to play anything. Difficult conditions played into the hands of us actresses,” shared Evgenia.

But this year I’m graduating from VGIK, behind me are the roles of Natalya Petrovna in the play “A Month in the Country,” Vasilisa from the play “At the Lower Depths” and many others. I have no complexes about playing my husband in films. Because any director clearly sees who should be in the place of this or that character.”

She started out as a solo singer, then joined the provocative group Reflex , but unexpectedly decided to leave the stage for cinema. Evgenia Malakhova (27) told PEOPLETALK why she did this, where she met her husband and how she got the role in “ The Dawns Here Are Quiet .”

For as long as I can remember, I went to auditions and auditions. At one of them I met Ivan Shapovalov (50) (producer of the tATu - Ed.), who, in turn, introduced me to vocal teacher Raisa Saed-Shah (49). So gradually I reached Joseph Prigozhin (47) (he just had the idea to make a youth project) and Viktor Drobysh (50) - he became my music producer. We appeared on the stage at the same time as singer MakSim (33).
My parents supported me (my father is an economist, my mother is a businesswoman, and both are chemists by education), but they still insisted on my first law degree. I had to combine law school at Moscow State University and solo work. After only two years, I was invited to Reflex instead of Irina Nelson (44), who by that time was tired and was about to leave the group, but since I was young and inexperienced, it was decided to work for a year with the three of us - this is how the group turned from a duet into trio. Due to the busy touring schedule of Reflex , we had six cities in seven days, I transferred to the correspondence faculty at Moscow (Moscow State Law Academy), there was no such opportunity Moscow State University

But I always knew that one day I would change my singing career to acting. I knew her from childhood, when I studied at the Young Actor's Musical Theatre . And then in 2011, I finished my studies and realized that something needed to change. In 2012, she began to enroll in theater institutes. I was lucky - I was accepted into several universities, but I chose VGIK - firstly, my mother really wanted to study there, but because of me she was never able to fulfill her dream. Secondly, I somehow immediately became attached to my master Vladimir Petrovich Fokin (70). And I didn’t regret it even once. He encouraged me to make a choice: either work or study. This was a condition of my admission. Without hesitation, I decided to leave the group. I still have to accustom people to the fact that I am no longer the lead singer of the group Reflex , but an actress, and I don’t see a way back. The years of studying at VGIK were probably the most difficult in my life. You come and think: I’m so talented, special, I already know everything. But you quickly realize how much is still ahead, and it won’t come easy. In general, I believe that an artist without education is not an artist. All my teachers said: sleeping two hours a day is normal. Studying seven days a week from 9 am to 11 pm is also the norm, so I did not appear anywhere, at any events. I abandoned everything, spent days and nights at VGIK .
By the way, I had a principled position - not to go to any castings until the third year. And three years after my admission, my first auditions took place - for the TV series “ Major Sokolov’s Getters .” I didn't pass the audition. But something else is interesting: I could not even imagine then that director Bakhtiyor Khudoynazarov would become such a close friend of our family! The world is an amazing thing!
I try to refuse roles of dumb blondes. They were offered to me when I was in the Reflex . I agree only if it is a good project with the opportunity to laugh at yourself. Military themes are close to me, it was an honor for me to play in “ The Dawns Here Are Quiet .” It was incredibly scary because of the comparisons with the original, but I think we did it. True, I still try not to watch this and other films with my participation, because I remember everything: where it worked, where it didn’t. I find fault with myself. But I enjoy watching other films - “ The Cranes Are Flying ” is an old favorite, and a modern one is the work of Tim Burton (57). Especially about Alice - I saw it in the cinema three times.

Renat ( Davletyarov - director and producer - editor's note) at VGIK , he was the artistic director of the creative workshop . In the very first week of the relationship, he began (as if for a bride's party) to take me to visit his friends. Today you are visiting Leonid Yarmolnik (62), and tomorrow you are going backstage at the Sovremennik at the same table with Galina Volchek (82). I felt awkward, but this only showed his serious intentions. And six months later (in 2014) he proposed to me. How? This is our secret.

Now Renat sometimes work together on projects. And this is monstrous (laughs.) At home and at work, these are completely two different people. He knows me too well, how much more I can do, how fit I am now or not. Any actress can deceive him because he doesn't know her as well as he knows me. But he doesn't do me any favors. Of course, we draw something from each other. I now know how to firmly say “no” to people. It was Renat who helped me learn this. And he, as all his friends say, became softer and calmer with me.

I am a very happy person and am now in that place and at that time. And what’s even more important is that everyone is alive and well. In general, life is in full swing.
