Biography
Evgenia Serebrennikova rarely pleases film fans with her appearance on the screen, but, judging by social networks, she does not suffer from a lack of bright roles. This is how the actress feels in this world:
“I know one drug. To be honest, I'm sitting on it. And it controls me so much that I won’t jump off. No way. Creation. When I am inside it, I am no longer there, there is only an idea, and when it is embodied, this state intensifies and dissolves me even more. And it doesn’t matter whether I write a script, a picture, poetry, analyze a role, play a role, dance, bake a cake - it’s the same state. And it seems to me that I have no choice. I was born to be in it. I can’t live otherwise.”
MOVIE
Dobrovolskaya herself considers herself more of a theater actress, but this does not prevent her from acting regularly - film directors appreciate her talent and often invite her to their projects.
The debut film “The Canary Cage” was followed by others: “Before the Snow Falls”, “Contract of the Century”, “In One and Only Life”, “Moonzund”, “Branch”. The career of the young actress – then still a student – developed rapidly: a film was consistently released every year. The partners on the set were the kind you can only dream of: Alisa Freindlikh, Vladimir Gostyukhin, Nikolai Karachentsov, Oleg Menshikov, Elena Solovey.
In 1990, the social drama “The First Floor” was released, where Evgenia Dobrovolskaya played the main role - the young hairdresser Nadya. This work was awarded a prize at the Golden Duke festival in Odessa.
"Middle age crisis"
In 1995, Garik Sukachev’s debut film “Midlife Crisis” was released. The script was written by Ivan Okhlobystin, the roles were played by Evgenia Dobrovolskaya, Dmitry Kharatyan, Alexander Baluev, Tatyana Lavrova, Fyodor Bondarchuk, Mikhail Efremov, Daria Moroz. In fact, the picture was created by a group of friends - the artists spent a lot of time together and wrote the characters to suit themselves. Evgenia recalls: “Back then it seemed to us that we were adults, but we did not yet know what a midlife crisis was. And as soon as the shooting ended, it began. That’s when everyone understood what the movie was about.”
"Queen Margo"
Evgenia Dobrovolskaya gained national fame with her leading role in the serial film “Queen Margot” (1996). The actress herself sometimes notes that she is not too happy with this picture. However, the film adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' novel was a success among television viewers - the passions at the French court performed by famous Russian actors attracted the attention of the audience. The film stars Mikhail Efremov, Ekaterina Vasilyeva, Dmitry Pevtsov, Dmitry Kharatyan, Vera Sotnikova, Sergei Yursky, Sergei Zhigunov, Olga Drozdova, Armen Dzhigarkhanyan, Olga Kabo and other stars. It is interesting that many of the artists in the film do not speak in their own voices. For example, Margot was voiced by actress Natalya Kaznacheeva instead of Evgenia Dobrovolskaya.
"Mechanical Suite"
In 2001, Dmitry Meskhiev’s tragicomedy “Mechanical Suite” was released. According to the story, a certain factory worker went out of town for the weekend and died there. The administration sends his colleagues to collect the body. They drank on the train, lost money and decided to carry the deceased in the compartment as an ordinary passenger. This, of course, was just the beginning of their adventures.
Dobrovolskaya played the supporting role of Lyuba in this film. Her heroine works in a provincial library, where no one really reads, dreams of breaking out of such a life and suddenly receives as a gift money collected by the plant for the funeral of its employee. For this work, the actress received several awards at film festivals.
"Falling Leaves Blues"
“Soft thriller” is how director Alexander Mikhailov described the genre of the film. According to the scenario, it is not clear where an ordinary girl Ksyusha gets her inheritance from: an apartment in the center of Moscow and a bank account. But this does not make her happy at all - very soon it becomes clear that the heiress is in danger. Evgenia Dobrovolskaya had to cry a lot during filming - her character was in autumn depression throughout the film. The actress herself is unusual in such moods: “I can’t stay in this state for a long time, because I have a lot to do. I just don’t have time to sit and think that no one loves me and how sad there is around me,” she says.
"Artist"
The film about the fate of a not-so-lucky artist became a real gift for Evgenia Dobrovolskaya. Finally, she managed to play a real actress - not a glamorous diva, but a hard worker faithful to art. Together with her, Maria Aronova, Alexander Abdulov, Dmitry Pevtsov, Yuri Stepanov starred in the film.
I also remember working with director Stanislav Govorukhin. In the first days he was unhappy and made many comments. “In general, Aronova and I were like students. We didn’t even dare to take an extra step: I’m afraid to go there, he drinks tea there and let him, but we’re in another place,” the actress recalled. She and the director also do not agree on the ending; she admits that she does not believe in a happy ending to this story. However, the film turned out wonderful, and the leading actress Evgenia Dobrovolskaya received several awards for this work, including the prestigious Golden Eagle film award.
The directors note that Evgenia Dobrovolskaya is an actress without a role, she is capable of any images. It looks organically in drama and comedy, in classics and modern stories. And all this is clearly visible in her filmography, which currently includes more than 100 diverse films.
Childhood and youth
Evgenia was born on September 9, 1982. She got the surname from her father, a popular musician and teacher. The information that she is supposedly Zaputina and not Serebrennikova is nothing more than a misconception. The actress's mother is a singer. As a child, Zhenya lived in the Buryat village of Tarbagatai, Evgeniy Ilyich is from Buryatia.

Evgenia Serebrennikova on the pole
Serebrennikova tries to keep herself in perfect shape (weight 55 kg, height 170 cm), so she is not shy about showing off her figure in a swimsuit. She likes to dance: the artist periodically attends master classes in various dance styles - hip-hop, modern, and has skills in flamenco, salsa and tango.
In addition, Zhenya has a high female singing voice - soprano. True, this talent has not yet been demonstrated. Other knowledge and skills include spoken English, a diploma from the German Sidakov School of Drama, and writing poetry. Evgenia published her own works on the Internet. According to the authors of the reviews, it turned out “subtle, piercingly sincere, truthful.”
Childhood
Leonid was born on October 2, 1947 in Moscow.
His father, Fedor Dmitrievich Shokhin, born in 1915, participated in the Great Patriotic War, a front-line artilleryman, and in peacetime worked at a mining institute as deputy director for economic affairs.
Mother, Serebrennikova Nina Leonidovna, born in 1916. Since childhood, she dreamed of becoming a ballerina, but in the 1920s-1930s this turned out to be almost impossible, and besides, she lived in the Urals, where there were no ballet schools at that time. Nina Leonidovna received a higher education at the Mining Institute and worked as an engineer in the surveying department. Later she moved to the Institute of Mining at the USSR Academy of Sciences to the position of secretary of the academic council.
Neither mother nor father were artists in the family, but they themselves were very musical people, had good voices and sang superbly. Mom was also great at drawing pictures. The children also inherited a love of art from their parents; Leonid also had a brother, Vladimir, who was ten years older (he worked as an announcer on Central Television and died in 2011).

But as a child, Lenya wanted to become not a singer, but an actor. In kindergarten, he was not shy about going on stage and reading poetry loudly and expressively. But he didn’t like music lessons; the boy barely completed three years of music school. And all because he dreamed of an acting profession, he really loved Raikin’s performances and learned them by heart, and tried to stage miniatures himself.
