Philip Vasiliev was born on September 15, 1978 in Moscow into the family of artists Tatyana and Anatoly Vasiliev. His parents divorced when Philip was four years old. In 1986, Philip’s sister, Elizaveta, was born, the daughter of Tatyana Vasilyeva and Georgy Martirosyan. Tatyana Vasilyeva also divorced her second husband, Georgy Martirosyan.
