A native Muscovite, Leonid Rudenko devoted himself to music from the age of 12.

Leonid Rudenko is a DJ and composer who creates music in house, ambient, trance and house styles. Rudenko is one of the few Russian musicians whose compositions are not only regularly included in the rotation of foreign radio stations, but also occupy top positions in the dance music charts.
Leonid was born in Moscow on July 16, 1985. Since childhood, Leonid has been interested in dance music: according to Rudenko, he was inspired by the work of Bogdan Titomir, the Chemical Brothers and Prodigy.
By the age of 18, Leonid begins to write his own music and sends demo recordings to all Russian record companies. Personal life
Leonid admits that at the very beginning of his career he was madly in love with a girl whose name he does not reveal. But she preferred a wealthier gentleman to him. When Leonid's songs began to be played on the radio, the would-be bride tried to return to him, but was refused.
Rudenko also had an affair with Irina Dubtsova, with whom they created a joint composition “Moscow-Neva”. They were going to get married, but while on vacation on the islands, something didn’t work out for them, and the couple ended their relationship.
In the future, Leonid sees himself as a spouse, but he also makes a number of rather serious demands on his soulmate.

That was three years ago, and this is already the fourth year.
Leonid:
We met on the set of one program, the essence of which was to determine which of the three participants was a couple for the main character. The star jury asked them all questions and thus tested their intuition. I remember Dominic Joker and I were sitting and waiting for Dubtsova, who was terribly late. I thought she would come all so pretentious...

And I, in full dress, arrived by metro because there were traffic jams on the roads. I don’t like to be late and I’m never late at all, but here it was... I was stressed!
L.
: In the end, Ira and I were seated next to each other, and we got into a get-together. The show is entertaining, so a sense of humor was an important element, and we simply did not allow Lena Temnikova to host the program - we almost disrupted the filming.

Lenya, apparently, was trying to impress, because he joked intensely.
L.:
My humor sometimes falls within the bounds of reason, and sometimes it goes beyond it. Those who don’t understand are offended. And Ira and I were on the same wavelength. In general, after the broadcast we exchanged contacts, then met at some social events, once she invited me to her birthday...

I would like to note that at that time I was in a civil marriage, and Lenya had a girlfriend, so we communicated on a light wave, periodically called each other, and that’s all.

In this regard, we had the idea to try to do something together creatively. I previously had a not very pleasant experience of collaborating with other artists, and I, having doubts, told Ira: “Listen, let’s not do it, because if something goes wrong, our friendship will end.” I've already lost a couple of friends. But we tried anyway. I sent her my track, which didn’t have enough voice melodies to be complete, and she said: “Oh, how great!”

This all lasted for a year. We spent a whole year making one song! At first I wrote the words in English, then we realized that no one needed it...
L.:
Then the time came for the New Wave.
Igor Yakovlevich Krutoy called both of us there, Ira said that she needed a fresh song, and we decided to quickly finish the common work. And since there were more reasons to meet, our friendship somehow... deepened. ( Laugh.

: Oh no! I am a rather romantic young man, as you will be able to see, but I believe that relationships develop when everything happens by itself, like with us, and not in a “water the tree of love, water it!” Yes, this is all bullshit, water it - don’t water it.

And I always said that for me the main example of an ideal relationship was my parents. Unfortunately, my dad passed away three years ago - I don’t want to talk about it, otherwise I’ll start crying, and in general this is a separate topic. He and his mother lived for 35 years. And the key to their long union was strong friendship. It’s great when two people are comfortable with each other, when their communication does not depend on external factors - on other people, the environment, and so on. And if the relationship lasts only on the bed and nothing else unites people, then...

Childhood and youth
Leonid Anatolyevich Rudenko was born in Moscow on July 16, 1985. The musician’s biography is quite laconic and does not spoil his fans with information about his family and childhood. Leonid became interested in musical art from the age of 10.
As a child, the future DJ listened to the then popular radio station “Europe Plus” and his entire repertoire. Considering that Europe Plus was a non-state commercial radio station, its repertoire was based on popular foreign hits. This is how Leonid became acquainted with electronic music.
Rudenko's first favorite bands were The Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy. Music created with the help of electric musical instruments and electronic technologies was new for Russia in the mid-1990s and attracted the attention of the young man.
Soon, Leonid’s musical tastes shifted towards a new developing direction - trance. Unusual synthetic sounds, short repeated phrases, deep timbre and high tempo served as an incentive for the young man to try his hand at this.
