Liam Hemsworth was born on January 13, 1990 in Melbourne, Australia. He is the youngest of three brothers[1]. Liam's older brothers, Chris Hemsworth and Luke Hemsworth, also became actors.

When Hemsworth was 8 years old, he and his family moved to the small island of Phillip Island.[2] In March 2009, Hemsworth moved to the United States to continue his career there. He and his brother Chris stayed in the guest house of Chris' agent William Ward before renting their own apartment in Los Angeles.
