More than five years have passed since actress Tatyana Samoilova passed away, and only recently a monument appeared at her burial site. Ekaterina Durova also asked her long-time colleague and friend Nastasya Samburskaya to organize a fundraiser for the future monument, to which she announced - a corresponding post was posted on her Instagram profile, to which Tatyana Samoilova’s fans responded very quickly. In addition, fundraising was carried out on the Planet portal.
Practice has shown that even with common efforts it is difficult to collect the rather large amount necessary to install the monument. The money was collected, but not the entire amount, but only 300 thousand rubles, despite the fact that the price of the crystal monument (initially it was supposed to be exactly like this) was 3.5 million. About 30 thousand more went to the fund after the charity screening of the film “Anna Karenina”, and the rest of the money was donated by caring people, including many Russian stars (among them Nastasya Samburskaya, Zurab Tsereteli, Ilona Davydova, Sasha Dal).

By the way. When we called Samoilova’s brother Alexei Evgenievich, according to him, allegedly neither he nor the actress’s son Dmitry, a doctor living in America, had funds for the monument. But at the same time, Samoilov assured that he was caring for the grave, or rather, paying for its care.
Workers at Novodevichy said that the deceased’s brother does not pay for anything, and sometimes comes to clean up.
It should be noted that initially the idea to erect a monument to Tatyana Samoilova came to the minds of actress Natalya Drozhzhina and her husband Mikhail Tsivin. Most of the work was undertaken by the studio of monumental architecture "Monarch" (director Maxim Bochkov). This studio had previously produced a monument to People's Artist of the USSR Lev Durov at the request of his daughter, actress Ekaterina Durova. By the way, it was she who asked her colleague Nastasya Samburskaya to connect her audience on social networks - the girls played together at the Theater on Malaya Bronnaya. Samburskaya did not refuse.
Fundraising took place on the Planeta.ru platform. Those citizens who contributed their money received various types of rewards, from going to a restaurant to tickets to the theater. Nastasya also contributed by purchasing rewards on Planeta.ru.
And now, two years later, the head of the Monarch studio invited our correspondents to the opening of the monument. The expensive architectural work was completed. Earlier, the head of the studio mentioned that the construction of the monument would cost three and a half million, since the project planned to make a crystal bust, the work on which is very expensive.
“We never collected the required amount,” Maxim Bochkov tells reporters. “All our efforts raised about three hundred thousand rubles, of which one hundred and fifteen came from Planeta.ru, and more than thirty came from the charity screening of Anna Karenina at the Pioneer cinema.” The remaining funds were donated by caring people. The writer Ilona Davydova provided a large sum, Nastasya Samburskaya provided great assistance, and the singer, founder of the Fruit group Sasha Dal also helped. Zurab Konstantinovich Tsereteli helped a lot. To reduce costs, we decided not to go with a crystal bust, but with a bronze one. Zurab Konstantinovich made it for free. I invested more than a million rubles from my own funds. We made a promise to erect a monument, but we must be held accountable for our words. Unfortunately, not a single media outlet showed interest in the opening of the monument, although we timed it to coincide with the anniversary of the People's Artist - May 4 marked the 85th anniversary of her birth and 5 years since her death. Among the relatives, Tatyana Samoilova’s brother was present, and he expressed great gratitude. There was no feedback from my son; we communicated only once, when we approved the project.

On the fifth anniversary of the death and life of Tatyana Samoilova, a monument was finally erected at her grave. According to the original idea, it was planned to be made of crystal, but due to lack of finances, it was decided to sculpt it from bronze.
